I had the best stay in Krabi here! From the moment of checkin, I was greeted with a welcome drink and snacks. All the staff that I interacted with on the properly were always so helpful, welcoming and happy. The room was cleaned everyday, the location is conveniently located about 10 mins walk to the beach and restaurants/shops. I also booked my transfer to Koh Lipe with the hotel and it worked out to be cheaper than booking separately online and it was a smooth transfer. I would 100% recommend staying at Krabi Forest if you are in the area!

The room was a typical Thai hut with bathroom, bed, TV, full size fridge freezer and electric shower and air con. The outside seating area is surounded by plants, which give it a jungle feel despite being just off the main road.
The accommodation is a bit dated but fully functional.
The staff were all great, with helpful reception and waiting staff. Breakfast was included and there was plenty of choice.
They gave us each a complimentary voucher for a full body massage at their in house massage parlor which was a nice extra.

This hotel was clean and simple. The location was nice. A 3 minute walk north there is a long relaxing beach that is family friendly. A 12 minute walk south towards railay there is a busier beach with many shops, restaurants and night life. The hotel is set back so it’s quiet.

One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in, you get much more than you expected! Huge room, conditioning is just perfect, clean rooms, big refrigerator, nice closet, and very clean and big bathroom...
Iwas really surprised of how professional the staff were and how beautiful the hotel is. Very nice and down to earth staff, maybe the only thing they should consider is the thin walls between the rooms as you can hear people from other rooms. Other than that, this hotel with its great location (where you can almost access everything within 5 minutes) and it’s great rooms and staff is definitely one of the best hotels here in Krabi. I’d recommend this one and I’d stay here again...

Great staff. I had a problem with a leaking air conditioner inside the unit and it was all dealt with super efficiently. Comfy bed. English movie channels on tv. Efficient air conditioner. Two bottles of water and toilet roll per day. Really good fridge and refurbished shower room.

The main area of the unit was tired and dated with clear signs of damp. No lampshade just the bulb dangling. Really horrible smell in the shower room. Hot water container with two glass mugs and stirrers but no coffee, sugar, creamer.....really strange!

Good location near to the beach

I had short stay of 4 days. Its about 40 minutes away from Krabi town. I rent a motorbike for 200baht a day which makes it very convenient for me to go around. Didnt expect the place was really valuable with the price I paid. Infact iI consider the price was cheap (maybe because it was low season). Very relaxing, near to the beach, walking distance to food places (a lot of muslims food restaurants as well), massage and spa is less than a minute walk from my room, the staff very helpful and overall I satisfied with this choice.

Check in staff very helpful and happy. Chalets more than comfortable and close to beach and local amenities. Overtime we approached the staff they were more than happy to help with whatever the enquiry. Rooms clean and functional. When you spend most of the day out and about a good clean bed and hot water is all that is really required and the Krabi Forest Homestay achieves this. Very pleasant to sit outside the chalet in the evenings

If you get this place for a reasonable price 1000-1400b a night you can't go wrong. The bungalow style rooms are exceptional, the beds are the most comfortable I've had my whole month traveling in Thailand (they are actually soft). The location is great. A bit of a walk to the action part of Ao Nang but all flat walking. Tuk Tuks are right out side if your lazy or a little tipsy. I'd stay here in a heart beat.

I remember i placed my ring on the table in my room, but i forgot to wear it when i check-out. Then after almost reaching my hometown which is 10h away from this place, i call the management to check the ring for me. But they said there isnt any ring in my room. Its either they didnt search for it, or the staff keep it form themself. Its my mistake forgetting my ring, but i doubt they even try to look for it..

Rather than a hotel room along a corridor the Krabi Forest Home Stay offers a touch homeliness to a holiday. Sitting on the porch is relatively private and gives the feeling of being in the garden back home. The staff were ever so helpful throughout our stay.

It's not a building like a conventional hotel, but rather a scattered detached houses on a quite large area. Even though it is very close to the both beaches and restaurants etc., still you can get a quite night in the rooms. I stayed for 3 nights and can really recommend.

We stayed here for 8 nights and found it a very good place to stay.

The rooms are little bungalows, with a massive comfy bed, and bathroom attached. They are cleaned each day, with new towels, 2 bottles of water and a toilet roll - all essentials! The bathroom is standard budget hotel. Shower is hot, and soap, shampoo and conditioner supplied. Toilet clean. Water pressure fine. Not 5-star, but it all works.

You get a veranda with table and a couple of chairs. Very useful to have this! It’s covered, so you can sit and watch the rain when it comes, or just chill out.

It’s close to the beach. Aonang Beach a few minutes walk one side, Napporat Thara the other side.

It’s on the main road, but just back from it, so quiet, but also right on the main route used by buses, tuk-tuks etc. The white buses go to Krabi, should be about 60 Baht. At night, you can’t hear any clubs or bars around, it feels quite secluded.

7-11 just around the corner (turn right and go back across the bridge). Very useful if you just want a beer or snack. Standard laundry service which gets clothes back same day. Big TV in room, but no English channels. Wifi works most of the time, just the occasional down moment. All in all, good value budget place close to beach.

For the cost, this hotel was well worth it! The room we stayed in was simple but clean. Great location, within walking distance to two beaches, shopping and lots of food. At the exit of the hotel walkway were two street vendor food carts, yummy food and very inexpensive. There is an Indian food restaurant there as well, the employees are pushy but the food is good.

Staffs are soooooo friendly and very helpful. You can ask them anything and you will get absolutely honest answer. Bad wifi reception, though. I can't use wifi for my whole stay.

This place is complete s*ite. In my 15 years in Thailand this is the first place ever that refused to check me in with my Thai ID card and demanded a passport which I never carry around. As a result I got stuck without a hotel and it was well after midnight. Hotels.com support was useless and didn't do anything to help.

Great,relaxed location near beaches

We loved our little bungalow style apartment, single story buildings along a tree and plant lined pathway- very cute and quiet too. Our room was large as was the wet room en-suit. We had everything we wanted in the room, although don't expect any decent English speaking TV... go out and enjoy the area :). We originally booked for 2 weeks, but stayed another week because we loved the location. The desk staff were always polite and helpful, but should NOT recommend Panang boat tours (who are terrible- disorganised, overcrowded and unsafe). We would never use that company again. We later went with WANG SAI who were brilliant. We have no idea why our hotel staff recommend such a poor company every time :(
Our room was often not cleaned very well, but sometimes cleaned to perfection- it depends on the staff! The internet was iffy and sadly there is no pool at this hotel, but they hope to add one in the future. We noticed rooms being refurbished and this is a good sign as this needs to be done. Essential improvements required are:
* A sign near the toilet which states 'DO NOT put toilet paper in the toilet' this is very strange to anyone from Europe. How are we meant to know?
* Reliable cleaning staff who remember to clean bathrooms and floors
* Improved drains
* Nets or blinds at the windows- because the rooms are single storey and if you have the curtains closed the room is dark, but if you have curtains open, there is no privacy at all!!!!
* Improved internet provider

Booked for 3 nights, wanted to leave after 1.

The room was nice, air conditioned, clean. Went to use the shower the next day and it didn't work.. Neither did any of the water. Went and told reception and they said they'd send someone straight away... An hour went by and nobody came. Went back to reception to complain and only seemed to respond when I said we would leave and get our money back. Someone finally showed up.. Twisted the shower handle and recommended that I hold the shower head at knee hight to improve the flow to a slight drizzle of water.. Then left.

Free \"Internet\" doesn't let you connect and on the rare occasions it does, it's only for a few minutes then stops working again. And the TV signal is so poor there's no point in even having it.

The room was clean and spacious, water and a fridge was provided, and the wifi was strong in the room. Staff were pleasant and willing to help make travel plans, and the cost of the room was very reasonable. The beds were on the hard side, as are most beds in Thailand, but the pillows were comfy.

My stay was good and my room/Bungalow was neat, clean and comfortable.
However, for a 4/5 star hotle there were a couple of things that caught my notice. I've notice that the front door had a considerable gap and that was noticeably un even. That bothered me because I don't like bugs crawling into room terrorising me. And speaking of which, there were some ants that was scurring around at my desk. That was a concern but not a deal breaker.
Oh, and the wifi was horrible especially compared to the cheaper hotel that stayed in just down the street.

Avoid at all costs

My partner and I stayed at this hotel as they had a good discount on rooms as it was the quite season.
The pictures are very old and not updated at all.
When we first arrived we found the bed base broken and falling apart, the sheets have small holes in them, the walls are covered in disgusting marks and look like they have never been cleaned (we found chewing gum on the walls), we have found termite trails all around the roof and where there is timber in the room. Also power outlets not working and switches for the lights not operating correctly.
and the electric shower did not get hot at all, just went a little higher then normal tap water out of the sink.

We then hired a motorbike from the hotel it came with no fuel and the first thing we had to do was fill it up.

The only positive thing was the aircon was working perfectly, the fridge in the room was a decent size and this place is close to restaurants, shopping and the beach.

For this price...

We were presented with the old overbooking scam as soon as we walked into the door. Receptionist tried to send us to another hotel saying a large family checked in earlier in the day and they didn't have a room for us. We prepaid weeks ago. This didn't make sense. We asked for the name of the other hotel so we could take a look online and maybe possibly doubtfully entertain the idea of seeing the place in person. As we pressed for more information, questions went unanswered. After a few minutes, the staff presented a key to the original room we reserved, became very apologetic and extremely friendly. The room was clean and location was pretty great too. Though the bed couldn't have been more uncomfortable and I've slept in the worst of the worst of beds.

Good location, just off the main road in Ao Nang, between the two main beaches. Accommodations were in line with the price we paid for the room. Room had hot water shower, flush toilet, small fridge, A/C and a small patio outside the front door. Fresh towels and bottles of water each day. Staff was friendly, we were able to drop off our laundry at the front desk for a small fee. The building / bungalow where our room was was adjacent to two other rooms. Our neighbors were quiet, but I'd imagine there's minimal sound proofing between rooms if you are not as lucky.

Nice hotel near quiet beach.

The hotel entrance was not what I expected, but my bungalow was in the back of the grounds and so it was quiet and surrounded be greenery and ponds. The rooms are dated but clean and they gave me clean towels and water everyday. My first night the AC did not work or the internet, so they changed my bungalow and I never had another problem.

Nothing to say about staff especially the young girl at reception that always has a hat and a smile she was very helpful, but this hotel needs TLC it could be a great place but the owner does not do much to maintain or fix the place, Cabin 48 smell of sewer from bathroom because of the drain from the sink that is broken a minor fix, but they never fixed it we changed room the next day for cabin 18, air con broke down first night and bed was broken so had a back ache the next day, they gave us a fan for the night and fixed the air but only low fan speed, and fixed the bed, first morning shower ridiculous water pressure and stopped halfway I was still full of soap took about 60 seconds to get a little water to rinse, during second night the ceiling of bungalow 45 fell on the couple staying there and they said it was something that can happen, no compensation??? this could be a great place if they would fix and take care of the grounds overgrown bushes, garbage, ect. so for the price I would look elsewhere you can find much better for just a few dollars more. But if you want to stay there try to get bungalow 49 my sister didn't have any problems.

Would not stay again

Everything is fine for the price, but 2 things:
* It smell so bad everywhere in the hotel area and the rooms (probably because of the river)
* The cleaning service is really bad. They don't actually clean, just put water and toilet paper. Once they've forgotten to put towels at all.

The location is OK.

Basic accommodation; not ideal location

Chose this property as it was high season in Thailand. The website portrays it in what can only be called a very flattering light. Poorly located alongside a smelly creek running into the sea, the mosquitos love it. The best that could be said for the first room we had was that it was depressing. The second was an improvement, but the overall impression is run-down.

Great value for money

Simple but great value for money. Located directly between Ao Nang and Noppharat Thara Beach. Bungalows have aircon, large bed, ensuite and a fridge. Would stay here again.
