We arrived earlier and the concierge said she could take our luggage but we had to wait till 3pm to check in. We ate at the hotel and stayed close to the reception. We noticed that by 2ish some people were arriving and being checked in. There was 3 conventions going on the hotel and we believe they were not interested in pleasing the regular hosts. The first room was overly noise. The second was not noise but the bathroom had mold trapped on the silicone to hold the shower glass. We complained no offer to change rooms ti was obvious the had none available.
We rode the elevator with a couple who was going to the reception asking to change room because of mold. The breakfast was just fine. We asked if we could leave the luggage at the reception while we went to the rental car so we could load the car. They said we couldn't park the car to lad because the parking was owened by another company and they would not allow it. We are Pestana Gold members. It seems that in this hotel it doesn't matter. Conference people are priority even thoug they will mostly be one time guests.

Arrived and theyd lost my booking, re eptiin staff was not gery helpful. Just stared at me and shrugged. I made him take a copy of my xonfirmation but he didnt seem bothered. Only when i contacted hotels.com and they got involved was there any movement. He finally found me andvthen regused me an early checkin despite my booking statescearkt check in as id landed at 4:30am. I was allowed to check in at 3pm. The hotel is nothing special, dated and early 90s. Things were broken here and there and it was all a bit shabby. Breakfast so so, again not that nice. Coffee yuk and a lot of meat yuk. Check out took forever as they are so slow. I wont be returning - avoid

I thought the staff is not very friendly. Any request, and they would say “we will check if it is possible “, but not in an encouraging way, not like they really meant it. Not sure if the moral is low, as it happened with all the staff, for all requests, including early check in. I actually sent an email asking if it was possible to have an early check in as our international flight would arrive in the am, and the blunt answer was “if you want to be checked in in the morning, you have to book the room for the day before.”. Not the best way to approach the customer. It is disappointing because we love the location, breakfast is great and we had stayed there in February this year. Will look for other options for the next time.

Nice hotel budget-wise, with great location - walking distance to Paulista, malls, restaurants and Ibirapuera Park. Service and amenities not so great - wi-fi did not work properly in the rooms, TV and power were down for a day, swimming pool closed and used towels that we left on the floor to be changed were left there for days. But overall, good choice for the price.

If you speak English this Hotel is not an option!

The title is self explanatory! The hotel overcharged my card and will not refund and gave chosen to ignore all my mail to recover my money. I was over barged twice with the same amount on my card. In addition my request for a wake up call was ignored. By all means completely unacceptable on a business trip. There were no blankets in the rooms and the bathroom was not clean. Lastly my request for a taxi was met with bad overall attendance. The worst hotel in Sao Paulo!

was staying with a group of 8 and all had a good experience..the rooms are little tired but clean ,,good wifi ..the staff were all very helpful..gym very simple..the area is good and reasonably safe to walk around in the day..our rate included breakfast but we chose to eat out of the hotel as the breakfast was very average..

Moved Us to Hotel in Poor Part of Town w/o Notice

We travelled 6 hours by car to arrive at the Pestana hotel around 11pm, with flights leaving at 8am the next day. It turns out they had had some sort of plumbing issue, and they had moved us to another hotel in another part of town. They had our phone numbers, and our email addresses, but did not contact us before this to let us know. They told us the other hotel was 10 minutes away. It was 25 minutes away, and in a bad part of town. We booked the Pestana hotel because it was in a good part of town. Very poorly handled. Hotel not recommended.

Probably the worst hotel I have ever stayed at

The hotel is dirty and outdated, the food is of poor quality. The only saving grace at this hotel is its staff. The internet is very bad. The hotel is dirty throughout and the general aspect is very bad. I will never go back to this hotel.

Complete disaster!
My husband and me arrived the hotel and nobody helped us to unload the luggage.
It was raining, we had to get the luggage cart ourselves and then we had to personally ask the valet parking guy to park our car.
The hotel promised to give us a free fruit tray, but it was never delivered.
The room was cleaned, but they didn't replace the bath towels, and they simply removed the bed blanket. After we complained about the bad blanked they sent us a very low quality blanket incompatible with the kind of hotel.
The double deluxe room was too simple compared the hotel daily rate. When we got the room there was a noisy black box on the table, it was a air purifier, it was very strange and loud.
I believe we won't come back to this hotel. It's not compatible with the Pestana name, price, quality and service.

Not the best option in Sao Paulo

The hotel is very outdated, my room was OK, but the bathroom was terrible, the toilet had green mold stains and the shower glass doors were dirty as well, I called the housekeeping lady and she tried but the toilet was already stained same as the shower doors.
Overall, the hotel was old and outdated, I looked at the pictures when deciding which hotel to book and honestly you should not go by them as the hotel does not look like what the pictures look.
The service was good, and the FD team was polite, s service is not a problem.

The Pestana Hotel has not aged too well, and many aspects of the room and other facilities look a bit tired, sometimes decayed. However, the location is excellent and staff members were polite and efficient. The shampoo and soap provided were so cheap and nasty we had to go and buy our own. Also, there were no toothbrushes nor room slippers. I ordered them (toothbrushes were charged!), and it took them hours to send them to the room (after I called them a second time). Windows do not open, which is fine as long as the ventilation system is good. Theirs isn't, unfortunately. Breakfast was fine, but tables were all dirty and they took their time cleaning one for us. I invited friends to the hotel bar, which is rather pleasant. However, their menu was incredibly limited, and service was rather slow. The hotel could be a lot better if these basic issues were addressed.

Have stayed here many times over past 2 years during their improvement stages. Good Location. Clean basic 4 star. Good Staff. Used space to make a Spa, but kept a SMALL room for Fitness Room. Big Mistake. They need to update fitness equipment to BASICS: Larger room with Treadmill, Elyptical. Wifi is still problem, but this seem to be a problem in all Sao Paulo hotels.

Good family getaway

The room is above average, fairly clean and the size (twin room) is about 200 square feet. The breakfast is more than I expected with good choice of food.

The hotel is not difficult to find and is about 10 minutes walk from a metro station.

While the hotel is still under renovation, there is no inconvenience to hotel guests and the room is fairly quiet during my 2-days' stay in March.

The Hotel was listed as 4.5 stars, and it not even 2.5. I had meetings with clients and I felt very uncomfortable, the hotels smells awful. I had to carry my bags myself.

Hotel is well situated in the center of Sao Paulo and suitable for business travellers that need to move around quick. Taxi´s stop directly in front of hotel. Hotel lobby area is nice and offers also a brahma bar, which offers you a cool brahma beer after a hot day.

The room i stayed in ( #1527) was on the upper floor and a corner room. Positive; large room and bathroom. Negative: windows cannot be opened and there is a lack of fresh air which gave me really a headache.

Staff is friendly, breakfast is regular but overall a pleasent 4 days stay.

I don't have complains about the hotel regading cleanliness and staff attention.

I am dissapointed because he Internet service was very poor. First, I had to change password every day!!! I never have seen this before! Sometimes I was working and I would lose connection because my passowrd had expired. Also, I was not able to connect to my work server in the USA from the hotel and had to ask friends to let me use their internet. I was in São Paulo, for two weeks, in business, and struggled to work from teh hotel. The daily fee the hotel charges for the Internet use is very high compared, for example, with Quality Moema that is free.

The gym was closed and one of the reasons I booked the hotel was because it had a gym and internet.

Third complain, I booked my hotel online and thought everything was paid off. The day I checked out I was charged three pages of service fees!!! Not mini bar charges, not laundry... but sercice fees! In this case, why they also charged me $30 extra a day? I felt the hotel management gave me a nice price to make me book the hotel and after digged into my pockets. It is not a nice feeling.

Extremely expensive for dated rooms, poor housekeeping, inattentive staff. Brazil is expensive, but if you can get a better room for the gianormous price they charge here why not do it. The hotel has a pink 1960s look, old TV think 1992 and basic rooms. One night they even forgot to leave new towels.

I was there for one night. I booked the hotel while on the taxi through my cell phone.

I paid 300 Dlls for a superior room. I arrived at Sao Paulo at around 7 AM and was very tired. I just wanted to lay down and rest from a long trip.

As soon as I arrived (a lot of traffic at that hour), the staff at the front desk were very friendly and helpfull. However, as I arrived earlier than the check-in time and my room wasn't ready, the staff offered me a lower tier hotel room for the same price or a better room for 50 Dlls. extra. I was very tired so I opted for the lower tier room.

Everything was fine until I went in. There was a smell of damp and old carpet that didn't go away. The room was old and the TV was an old and small TV. The room was frozen in the early 90's.
The bathroom was not completely clean and looked also old.

For $300 Dlls, the room was way overpriced and even seemed like a 3 star hotel room.

As instalações são bem antigas. Reservei pela localização e pela cama king. Chegamos às 12h e como o check in é só as 15h, nos informaram que havia quarto pronto mas teríamos que pagar meia diária extra pra antecipar as 3 horas do check in. A limpeza é boa e o quarto é espaçoso. O ar condicionado é um pouco difícil de controlar, pq é um sistema de controle antigo também. Para um fim de semana achei bom. O café da manhã é otimo, começa às 6:30.

Experiência bem razoável, desde o check-in, na recepção me cobrou o pagamento de um dos quartos que eu havia reservado e pago anteriormente. Minha experiência não foi boa, pois no site do Hotéis.com consta que tem piscina, e a piscina está interditada faz tempo, faltou água na torneira da pia do banheiro pela manhã, teve um dia no café da manhã que não tinha pão de forma para fazer misto quente. Enfim, a hospedagem não foi nem razoável

Pelo preço pago, não vale a pena. Passei 3 dias e 2 noites, não houve serviço de limpeza de quarto, tive que buscar toalhas novas na recepção, já que a camareira não realizou a troca. Janela do quarto emperrada em um dos lados, parede suja. Apenas 2 elevadores funcionando. Banheiro sem exaustor, com manchas de pintura mal realizada na porta.

Precisa de uma reforma urgente!

Escolhi o Pestana SP achando que seria tão bom quanto o de Curitiba, mas me decepcionei. Prefiro antigo, quartos antigos sem manutenção, não há calefação, ar somente frio, passamos bastante frio, não há ducha higiênica no banheiro, só bidê, o chuveiro demorava para sair água quente, ficou um “pinga pinga” até sair. O café da manhã foi bom, variado. Mas demoram muito para limpar as mesas. A colcha da minha cama estava meio manchada, inclusive com caneta. O cofre do quarto fica no banheiro. Só haviam 2 elevadores funcionando e 1 em manutenção. Acho que precisa urgente de reforma. A localizai foi boa, o staff muito atencioso, mas só. Inadmissível não ter opção de ar quente no frio de SP.

Hotel antigo, quartos com mofo

O hotel é bem localizado e a equipe de atendimento é educada e simpática, mas as instalações são muito antigas. Os quartos e banheiros tem mofo e cheiro forte insuportável, terrível para quem tem renite alérgica. Foi tentado mudar de quarto por 3 vezes, em todas as tentativas o estado era o mesmo, cheiro forte e mofo.

Muito antigo, parou no tempo.

Hotel muito velho. Com móveis de madeira cheirando a mofo e bolor na parede do frigobar. A cama super dura. Sem isolamento entre banheiro e quarto, inclusive se ouve o uso do banheiro dos outros apartamentos que é bem alto, nos acordando durante a noite. Café da manhã razoável. Elevador em manutenção. A refrigeração do quarto é boa, bem com o blackout. Chuveiro bom, mas dentro de banheira. Não há ducha higiênica, ainda é bidé.

Hotel bem moderno em suas acomodações, atendentes super simpáticos principalmente Rafael da recepção. Café da manhã vasto, amei!! Local tranquilo e bom localizado! Voltaria novamente!!
