Very well located but the ar conditioner in the room was too loud. The maintenance guy came to see and said it was normal. Also, blackout curtains didn’t cover the entire window. The room was super bright .

Well located in good neighborhood. Condition of the room was not great. We had to ask them to change the desk chair in the room because it has obvious human fluid stains on it. They had to spray down the table chair with alcohol. Room was large but somewhat dated. Power outlets were not located near the bed. The breakfast (delivered to room due to COVID) was substantial.

Great value and location in Sao Paulo.

I always have a great stay at the Golden Tulip. It is a great value for the money - the staff is very friendly and the location is in Jardins - one of the best neighborhoods in Sao Paulo. The hotel is also close to Park Ibirapuera which is a great park for walking, running or playing basketball. The breakfast is also very good.

Breakfast was great. However, internet connection was horrible!!!

I stayed for 2 complete days and neither day did someone come to clean my room. On the second day I even asked the front desk for my room to be cleaned as I left for a meeting. 3 hours later when I got back it still did not get clean.

A standard 4-star, but the only one I've stayed in, whether in Brazil or elsewhere in Europe, the Middle East, or East Asia where the wifi network was so poor. I had to login almost every time I opened my laptop, and sometimes it took up to 10 minutes. One day the network was down altogether for hours. Not the best place to stay if you have to do a lot of work online during your stay.

I always stay in Golden Tulip Paulista and the experience and service is 10 of 10. This time the Paulista was sold out and decided to stay in Golden Tulip Jardins, bad desicion!!! Room Service not available, restaurant closed, room dirty are some of the problems I encountered during my stay if 2 nights. I will not stay again.

Probably is the worst hotel that I stayed. Initially I showed my reservation and the evening person staff told me that I don't have reservation confirmed. I told him that I had reservation.
And after ten minutes the person asked me if I paid the booking????? So I told him to check the printed reservation that I gave to him..... He just said that I don't need to be rude and he was trying to help me to book my room with the hotel totally full....
What a bad attitude of reception guy.. He was threatening me if I be good he will give me a room. What a bad person to work at the front desk of hotel??
After 30 minutes he gave the room key.. The room wasn't nice at all. The bathroom super noisy and the water leaking issues.
The TV already with the issues on the screen...
The telephone... I need to hold the line to don't get disconnected..
The fire detector alarm lights, blinking all night... Cannot sleep well.
Expedia send me email saying I've got complimentary 10% discount.. Nothing was offered.. Upgrade? I was hoping to not get downgraded..
BAD THING - HOTEL Staff, TAP crew overnight at the hotel and make noisy every night.

Great location, Thin Walls

Lovely location, beautiful restaurant and breakfast. Good & Nice staff. Main complaint thin walls, one can hear every footstep in the hall as well as between rooms and the ceiling.

Great balconies and view, wonderful large size of guest rooms. I just can't recommend it based on the noise level regarding the thin walls.

Good location, shame about the hotel

During a recent business trip I spent 10 days at the hotel. Save the location, the hotel is in desperate need of an upgrade. The rooms are tired and walls were dirty. The bath is terrible, with an odd shape and uneven bottom that make having a shower an adventure in itself. The internet is terrible and there are constant outages, which made it interesting in a business trip. The reception staff are not friendly and on several occasions ignored my request for my car, which resulted in my getting to some meetings late. The food is average at best. I will avoid this hotel in the future despite its good location in Jardins.

A good hotel to stay in, but a bit far from the city center and metro stations. The breakfast and the restaurant in particular, were excellent. The room was fine, even though the furniture were a bit old. I was not impressed at all by the gym though. Old equipment and often rusty. The staff though were extremely polite and helpful. I had an issue with the safe in my room and they responded very efficiently.

For the price, decent enough. Rooms feel basic and aged (Wonky cheap flooring, chipped bathtubs, bathroom needed a re-paint, etc...) but the room felt relatively clean, the beds were comfortable and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Stayed here for a night with my sister. They had initial hiccups in finding a room for us but once that was settled, it was a good experience. The hotel was modern. Staff was friendly. Good wi-fi. The location was close to paulista ave and ibirapuera park - both are walking distance from the hotel.

The worst hotel in Sao Paulo ever.

There was mold in the bathroom and the room smells. Poor housekeeping. Internet is nerve racking. Laundry service is a joke and to culminate with the horrible service, the bill had an error as much as twice the actual value of laundry. Stay away from this hotel.

Regular hotel - nothing extraordinary - rude staff

I have stayed in this property several occasions in the last 6 years. This hotel, is not really focused in retaining their good staff, and the constant change of personnel in critical areas such as front desk and reservation is obvious that it is not receiving the appropriate attention and care. This last occasion, I have reserved a queen bed, request which was overlooked and no options were offered.

Rude front desk and hidden fees!

I arrived 40 mionutes before check-in and was told I could pay for half of my room rate to check in early? I can understand hours before ckeck-in, but less than an hour? I waited until 1050 and tried agian and insisted I be allowed to check-in. The room safe was not so safe. First, the front desk wants to know if you are going to be using the safe and has you sign a form indicating yes or no. I indicated yes and while I was able to put my things in the safe, I was not able to get them out! I had to call the front desk each and everytime I wanted into my safe and had to wait for someone to unlock it. Did I mention that the room service doesnt speak english, thier response to a room service order was to hang up on me! The location was good, but that was it for this Not So Golden Tulip location! This hotel is 2 Star at best, dont be fooled!

Sao Paulo it is a big City with a lot of hotel options. This is one of the worst I have Everest been. Carpets every floor are dirty and the prive does not match the bad quality of the hotel. Thankfully I had a show in town and I día not spent to much there.

A good hotel in a good neighbourhood albeit pricey

I have stayed in this hotel many times before. I like the location and the rooms are spacious. Recently the rooms went through some redecoration (Carpets, tvs). Finally, they make the Internet freely available (before you had to pay!). I stay at this hotel because it is usually for a 1-2 nights. As it is quite expensive for a 3 star hotel, I would look for an alternative if I was going to stay for longer periods in São Paulo.

Ok for a business trip..

The neighborhood where the property is located is not really close to Ave. Paulista (taxi) but otherwise it was quiet and peaceful experience. While I speak Portuguese, I found the staff to be uninterested in their clients. Breakfast was the same every day (wet runny eggs) and vienna sausage were their only hot items. Breads/Fruit and juices were plentiful.

No real lobby area to lounge in. Adjacent was a bar with table / chairs and the occasional Soccer match. All in all the property was maintained for a 3* location and yes I would stay at Golden Tulip, but probably their other property on Frei Caneca street.

Honestly, I was quite underwhelmed by this hotel, it's not at all as it's advertised.

I was traveling on business and reserved a room with a queen bed to ensure a quality night
s sleep after a long flight. I took special note of the line about an iron available on request, as it was important to press my suit before a long day of meetings.

I was given a room with a twin bed on a floor under construction. The AC unit was broken, stuck on 18 degrees. I had to alternate between freezing, then turning it off and broiling. Housekeeping failed to emtpy the trash and replace towels throughout my stay, but succeeded at parking their cart sideways in the hall to block access from my room.

The iron? They had none, and didn't expect to find any. At least they knew a place where I could buy one. (If you get a cheap all-white iron with no steam, you can thank me, I left it behind for you...) Trying to iron a dress shirt on a towel on a round table is not so easy.

The breakfast staff is completely overwhelmed, 2 of my 3 nights I had to sit at a table with someone else's dirty dishes, and hope that the silverware I was using wasn't used by those people as well. Clearly, management is more interested in cutting labor costs than in providing a sanitary dining room experience. I wonder what happened behind the kitchen doors?

It wasn't a problem, but the minibar food is also quite indicative of how much this hotel actually cares about its' guests. The minibar snack selection consisted of a pack of gum, a sample sized candy bar, and a collection of three foil wrapped chocolates.

Beware all the positive reviews here, it was not my experience at all.

I have had much better for Less

Hotel Room was relatively clean. Had to request someone to clean up in the bathroom when I arrived, There was a pungent smell (which lingered on throughout the entire 5 days). Room was very dated and poorly lit and so was the hallway which also smelt horrible. There was rennovations being done on the hotel at 8:00AM!!! WAS RUDELY AWAKEN BY THE HAMMERING SOUND OF DRILLING AT 8:00AM into the walls which seemed to come from the very next room! I cannot understand why this hotel was advertised as free internet for the duration of the stay. When I arrived I had to pay for this service which cost 15reais per day for TERRIBLY CONNECTION that kept dropping every few minutes. Food was oK; Needs to have more variety. Service was ok, Asked for some additional pillows and did not receive them. Approx a 1 km steep uphill walk to Ave. Paulista, uphill. apporx 15 to 20 min walk. NOT WORTH THE PRICE.

When I arrived at the hotel I booked, we were left waiting and then told us that there was a technical problem with our room, therefore they arranged a taxi to go to another hotel of the chain. The room we were put into had damp stains on the wall facing the bed, they weren't overnight ones, very old. We asked for a new room, which was given but lacked wall edecorations, quite dull. The service was OK, but the hotel needs a \"facelift\".
Wouldn't go back to a Golden Tulip in Sao Paulo.

Very good well-priced hotel in a handy location

The staff at reception were very helpful regarding check-out times, airport transfers and maps. Good English too which was much appreciated by a weary traveler. The room was comfortable with windows which opened (always a nice touch). The walls were a bit on the thin side - I could hear the TV in the next room - which could be annoying if you had noisy neighbours... Breakfast was comprehensive. The gym and pool were both adequate. Good safe neighbourhood on the fringe of the fancy shopping area - 15 min walk - with a 24 hour restaurant on the corner and a supermarket nearby. Nothing fancy but a good hotel in a good location.

Paulista Hotel

This hotel is well located not too far from Paulista and Ibirapuera park. You can walk to both safely during the day and evening( although I wouldn't at 2:00 am ). There are lots of restaurants close by including the St Etienne which is open 24 hrs and at least 6 sushi places and close by is a large supermarket. This hotel is used by the airline crews and while not high end is very comfortable

The GOlden Tulip Park Plaza is in a a very nice secure area of Jardins. For those who like walking, it takes about 20 minutes to get to Avenida Paulista. The gym is not so good but the hotel room is very comfortable. I would recommend this hotel.

The Hotel is located in a nice neighbourhood only a 10 minute walk from great shopping and dinning in the Ave. Augusta area in Jardins.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The 'standard suite' was very clean and spacious and breakfast was acceptable.
Only improvements would be free internet and better quality/more towels.
But next time in SP I would definitely stay again.

A very good hotel. The room was very good and the hotel staff were also very good!
The breakfast ends at 10:00 which I found a bit early, but that is as close to a complaint as I can get with this hotel. It is in a safe area of the city and again the staff were very good.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone going to Sao Paulo.

The hotel is located in a quite zone and a walk distane to Oscar Freire, which helds many restaurants, bars and designer shopping stores.
A pitty is that they do not include internet, you have to pay it for every 24 hours, as they dont have a rate for all the time you stay there.

Skip this hotel if you have any issue with smoke. You'll be bombarded with smoke when you enter the lobby, since the smoking bar/cafe is across from the front desk. While there are smoke free hotel rooms, you'll still walk through a handful of smokers every time you leave and enter the building. The rooms themselves are nice and clean with good layouts. The minibar markups were the smallest I've seen in a while. No $5 candy bars here. There is complimentary breakfast that thankfully is located in the back of the hotel away from the smoke filled front. It's the standard Brazilian selection of breads, cheeses, and juices with a few hot options. Lastly, review your bill carefully. They added charges for items we never purchased. This is more of a general Brazil suggestion as I was overcharged at half a dozen different places. They also changed the internet to $15r each day. It was free when we booked the hotel room, yet they refused to honor that. This bait and switch is completely unacceptable.

Pontos que vale atenção é que os pães estavam duros ou ressecados já no primeiro horário do café da manhã (6h). Segundo ponto é que a cortina blackout não fechava totalmente, o sol pela manhã atrapalhava o descanso. Equipe de funcionários muito cordial e atenciosa, muito bem localizado, chuveiro maravilhoso e o serviço de estacionamento 24h é cômodo.

Quarto impecável. O sistema pra ligar a TV é muito trabalhoso, vc tem que colocar seu perfil em tudo e depois, antes de sair, tirar de tudo. A maquina de café espresso na recepção so funciona em alguns horários e vive com placa de manutenção. Acho uma economia muito boba.

Das Hotel hat alles, was man für einen super Aufenthalt braucht. Ein großes Dankeschön an Silvio an der Rezeption – mega freundlich und hilfsbereit!

Péssimo experiência

Ficamos no quarto 1010 , chuveiro com vazão como se fosse sair direta do cano , colchão que juntava o casal no meio de tão mole , cortinas com frestas enormes , a partir das 5:30 Hs a claridade entrou.
Café da manhã fraco , talheres que não cortava as frutas pior que R$ 1,99 . Na recepção falaram que tem quartos reformados, mas hospedam nos velhos , falta de consideração. Jamais voltaremos .

Café da manhã podia ser um pouco mais completo de frutas e o omelete acabava ficando mais seco, e ao invés de salsichas e calabresa poderia ser bacon, mas é uma questão de gosto. O café era muito forte e tinha gosto de café queimado. Os atendentes eram muito atenciosos e simpáticos. Hotel lindo e muito bem cuidado, flores lindíssimas, academia maravilhosa. Somente o café que não atendeu ao padrão de todo o resto. Café nota 7,5 e hotel nota 10!
