What was supposed to be a weekend trip for my daughter’s 7th birthday left me with a horrible experience at this hotel. I had booked this trip a month in advance so of course I have no control of the weather. My kids and I took the train here and there ended up being a winter storm warning for Wisconsin so our train for the 15th ended up being cancelled. I ended up having to book a greyhound back die that same day but again it was cancelled due to the winter storm. Because of that then the greyhound only gave us an option of returning on the last bus on the 14th which I had to took because I couldn’t afford to be stock in the dells for an extra day 2 with all the other trains and buses being cancelled for the next 2 days. I tried to explain this to the hotel and asked if they could even give me some type of credit because he had to check out on the 14th instead of the 15th even though I paid for through the 15th. I would have loved to come back again once the weather was better so I was even willing to do some type of credit because I really wanted to bring my kids back. But they refused and I tried to go through Hotels.com and they agreed to refund for the extra day but said they needed the hotels approval and they tried to call several times and got to response. When I tried to talk to the manager he was very rude and talked to me so disrespectful in front on my 4 and 6 year old that they begged for us to just leave. $900 plus hundreds spent there down the drain

Overall it gets a qualified OK. Rooms were clean but no daily service. Water park crowded but not too awful. Hot tubs were a mess. Family one was the size of a very small pool and overcrowded. Build more. Adult one was luke warm and jets were not working well. More of a simmer tub. Price was very high but knew that based on it being Christmas break. But they actually charged a daily to park. Hey, this isn't Vegas. Food adequate at the restaurants. Did dinner one night but the offerings were rather boring and not very tasty. Did a family breakfast but although the menu said eggs to order available, they didn't offer. Waiter did not speak English well and tried hard but was struggling. So. Would I go again? No. Always wanted to try this park but left with an Ok time. Staff was friendly and place was clean. Rooms get no daily service. Not even towel service. Had to find ask a staff cleaner for extra toilet paper. Hey, 3 people need more than one roll for a two-night stay. It was nicer than Olympus but barely. Next time I'll try a competitor. Local Denny's had a much better breakfast and local bar/restaurant called Bobbers Island Grill was surprisingly good. Better than the hotel restaurant and no more expensive. Kids loved the Gator bites. Hotel had lots of activities for little kids but really nothing out for teens and young adultsf except their small arcade. They had some sort of wizard wand thing but it was unbelievably expensive.

I have stayed at many other hotels in the Dells. My family wanted to try out Great Wild Lodge. I will NEVER return there. I had to pay 80 dollars for parking and they just charged my credit card for something else. Never have I had to pay for parking at any hotel, and never have I been charged after I left the property. And now being charged the following day after I’ve been home. I know it doesn’t matter if I never return you have plenty of business. But I will stay at other places from now on. 80 dollars to park, and then I had to park way the hell away from the door. I really can’t belive you charge to park. We had a room with a full kitchenette while the room is nice, but for kitchen, they didn’t have a spatula in order to flip her pancakes or eggs in the morning. We called room service and they told us that they did not have any more spatulas the dishwasher can I get the dishes really clean and we rinse them off so there should’ve been no reason why it didn’t get cleanand the elevator took us 15 minutes of waiting to get on and when I book your video the photos that they showed in the room that we picked we didn’t even get what we wanted. They gave us a different room. Then when we talk to great Wolf, they told us. They have no control over that but they could charge us to get the room that we wanted I said isn’t there a way on how you could have complementary something for us because this is the second time for you guys that our rooms have been wrong and we had to pay for parking per day. That’s ridiculous they didn’t have a lot of outdoor stuff or indoor stuff, but I guess maybe for someone that doesn’t have very high expectations. This place would be fine.

We stayed in this resort in 2020 and had a fantastic stay. We decided to stay here again because we liked it so well. This experience was not as good. The waterpark was great. They offer food there, but it is very pricy- even when you go in knowing you are going to be paying more than normal. There was hair in one of the beds. They are charging for parking your car in the parking lot. That was not disclosed (at least that I saw) when booking on Expedia. They charged my card upfront for the two nights we stayed there. They then turned and billed my card for the two nights individually. I called them to dispute the double charge and was on hold for 41 minutes before customer service picked up the call. They stated that they would dispute the double billing. I will not be staying in another Great Wolf Lodge. That is unfortunate because it has been my \"go to\" place to stay.

I thought the room was great and we loved sitting at the pool. However, the first day we got there we saw a bug running on the floor of our room and killed it only to find out it was a cockroach. While at the property the staff reassured us they would take care of it and we would get a refund. However, over a month later they have not refunded me anything and they are ignoring my emails. The place was great for families with small kids handy to the interstate food and activities other than the waterpark, however there are so many things that they sell that you'll wind up spending more on those things than your stay. It also cashless so before you know it you've spent a ton of $$. Also, in Expedia write up they say the price you see is the price you pay including taxes and fees not so. Had to spend an additional $101 on parking 5 days. I can see paying for parking in a garage or downtown location but not for a suburban location just a lot! I don't mind spending but there is nothing more I hate than the additional fees where they nickel and dime you. Just give me the bottom-line price for the package. Just spent two nights with my husband and 4 kids ranging from 6 to 16. The park had enough to keep all ages active but didn’t overwhelm and wasn’t as spread out as some others can be. Room was clean and ready when we arrived at 12:30 already, a nice surprise bonus. For the price, it’s great!

It wasn't really quiet. The room and hotel were clean. NO CASH of any kind allowed. Bathtub was cracked and wasn't installed properly. The bottom of the tub creaked louder than the shower itself. WAY OVERPRICED AND NOT WORTH IT even with the included water park passes.
