We had a really great stay! The hotel is old and there aren't many amenities, but it's clean and the staff was great and friendly! We spent some time in the hot tub and thought it was great! Even the pool was heated! There is no coffee maker in the room, but they offer it by the front desk and it was surprisingly very good! We were impressed for a very plain looking hotel! And... location is perfect for close to things!!

There are several “permanent guests” here. We could hear EVERYTHING! Dogs barking. People in the halls all night long.
Second night we had to call front desk TWICE for two different rooms having domestic situations at 1 am and 230 am. Then there was the barking dogs after that. Needless to say, we had to go to work a conference on no sleep! I am a super sound sleeper and was woke up from a deep sleep both times.
When I went to the front desk in the morning they didn’t seem to understand my reasoning for separating their permanent guests to temporary guests who may be traveling and actually NEED sleep!
We have stayed here several times and this is a new problem but we will not be back - and I was going to be back for 4 nights next week for another conference.

The place seemed to have a lot of people who live there? Unkempt rooms, random things splattered on the wall by the bed. Window in room had dead bugs in the track as well as smears on the physical glass. No shampoo whatsoever (not a huge deal but bizarre in all honesty) horrific shower experience because the showerhead was calcified and dirty. I don’t understand the 8.2 rating on here whatsoever. The front desk clerk was incredibly rude to my husband when he asked for an additional pillow and blanket..as if it was coming out of his pocket (you know the room we are in..write it down and provide it to housekeeping to charge us if the required amount of linens weren’t present at check out…simple standard hospitality policy) which was honestly humorous to us - I’m glad we have a sense of humor and didn’t let the brashness ruin our entire weekend. I am glad it was an adult only trip because this is not a kid friendly facility and certainly lock your doors - it may only be a few minutes out of the main resorts in the dells but it honestly feels like you are going to get robbed walking to and from your car.

Eh, it’s ok. You get what you pay for. Staff was friendly-ish but I also overheard housekeepers swearing right by the front desk. Room was clean but don’t expect much. My mom joked the bed would be out the front door by morning because they slide around. Pool and hot tub are nice. Some interesting clientele. Assuming some are living there. But nothing that bothered us. Parking lot Also smelled of “weed” so strong I think I caught a buzz. lol but the smell stayed outside, so, *shrug*.

I’m confused as to how there were so many good reviews for this motel. Our non smoking room smelled like old and new smoke. While I was in the bathroom the weed smoke started coming through. The walls were dirty, sheets were stained, mattress pads were so gross looking. We got in at 10:30pm and had to leave at 6am and it was the most disgusting 7 hrs. We slept fully clothed and used our dirty clothes to lay our heads on. The lock on the door was broken off and hanging and my daughter and I seriously contemplated sleeping in the car, but temps were below zero, so we just couldn’t. I stayed in plenty of shady places in my late teens and 20’s and this was one of the worst. The gentleman at the front desk was nice…..only positive thing I can say.

Staff was very friendly and accommodating. I’m a healthcare traveler and work nights. Most hotels do not allow for or charge large sums for a late checkout to give “night shift” staff the opportunity to get a decent nights “days” sleep. The staff jere were very accommodating, with it being “off season”, to allow for a slightly later checkout and it was very much appreciated. I will definitely be going back if the need arises during my time in the Baraboo/Dells area.

The hotel was recently painted and cleaned up nicely. The room was regular sized and comfortable enough. The shower which was newer was also shaped oddly with a seat built in ? I suppose some people would like that.
Our only complaint was the noise, people above us clunking around and people talking in the hallway until after 2am. There weren’t any more than maybe 20 cars in the parking lot so I’m not sure why all the guests were put right next to each other, but ?
Anyway, the price was very good for the room that we had and I would stay there again, but ask for a quieter room.
