Hotel smells great when you walk in - convenient location - spacious room (we were in handicap accessible) - well equipped gym - breakfast was really nice with lots of hot and cold options, coffee was great - all staff were very sweet - room 112 needs a little work on the upper shower head but wasn’t a problem beyond spraying out onto the floor

Must be new building- very clean. Breakfast was good- I liked that they have someone serving it so line moves faster and more sanitary. They even had tamales for breakfast! Free self parking. It’s La Quinta but there is a full bar in the lobby! So it was convenient to grab a drink.

Negatives- the walls must be so thin, we could hear the next room people. Also water pressure is very weak and it was kind of annoying. No electric outlet next to one side of bed so I could not have my phone on my nightstand charging overnight.

This is my go to hotel when in McAllen. Clean, free breakfast, coffee all day. Walking distance from nice restaurant options and other shops. Not the cheapest and not the most expensive, but just right. Of course I'm staying here in the future. :-)

I recently stayed at the La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham McAllen Convention Center and had a wonderful experience. The entire staff was warm, friendly, and attentive—always with a smile. From check-in to breakfast service, everyone went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction.

The hotel is fantastically located, just steps from the McAllen Convention Center, making it very convenient for attending events. I also appreciated the dedicated workspace area—it was great to have a comfortable spot to check emails and work on tasks.

Special thanks to the breakfast team: your service was prompt, courteous, and delightful. Overall, the combination of prime location, great amenities, and outstanding staff made this stay memorable.

Overall comfortable and clean

The hotel overall is clean however, our room smelled so strong of chemicals it burned our throats. Smelled like the room had a previous problem they attempted to fumigate but that made it smell even worse. Every time you walked into the room it hit you so hard. Breakfast was a high point with great options and local flavor. The bed was comfortable and with a good amount of pillows. Not against the hotel however, we had to checkout early for safety as we came outside to find someone circling our vehicle with a video camera and watched him do the same to another vehicle of the same style like they had a type they were looking for. When he saw us he started videoing palm trees like we wouldn't know what he was doing. Hotel security was notified but we didn't feel confident our vehicle would be there in the morning if we stayed our last night. We've stayed here a few times now and will return but hopefully won't get a smelly room next time.

I had a good time but I’ve stayed in another Quinta before and the beds were a lot more comfortable … I just have one other bad experience idk her name but she was working on a Saturday in the after noon July 5 that lady had a bad attitude and was giving me attitude about signing in for the pool I told her I had been there 2 days prior and they never told me anything or said anything to me about signing in for the pool I was never ever told about it on check in
