The room was adequate but the neighborhood was a bit sketchy. The biggest problem was the door lock which relies in batteries in order to function. The staff failed to do regular, preventative maintenance so I found myself locked out of my room for an hour while off-site maintenance was summoned to fix the problem. No suitable apology or recompense was offered. Days Inn continues to decline. Wyndham should seek better opportunities.

Staff is rude! You can tell that they are not happy working here. They are not willing to help with even the smallest requests. The room has a bad smell, like it hasn't been moped for awhile or they used a dirty mop. I have to slept with my hoodie covering my face because the smell was so bad. The appliances are dirty and in bad conditions. The door lock didn't work properly. If you can avoid this place, do iit!!

The Days Inn in McAllen is right next to the Expressway, property was unappealing ,no greenery,plants,trees only a parking lot! The room was quite clean, the queen size beds comfortable but the bathroom was small with its toilet & bathtub,we had to come out of the restroom to change clothes.
The manager was friendly ,price of room for two was reasonable ..stayed one night only ,close to airport!!

This was a great hotel and the staff were on point. The manager was awesome and upgraded us because my wife wanted to be on the bottom floor. If I’m ever in this area again I would stay again. The room was renovated and ac was cold. We can’t complain it was a pleasant experience.

The floor in the room and bathroom, had not been swept. There was dirt and hair on the floor. The fan in the bathroom was very loud (needs replacing). Everything else was ok. It looked like they were remodeling other rooms on the property.

My worst stay

It was the most horrible experience, since our arrival, they where trying to make me pay for something I has already booked and pay in advance, keys weren’t working at all, day two when I went and tell them about my key they told me that I had to pay for thAt day because it wasn’t pay, that’s the reason they deactivate my key when I try to show him confirmation from hotels, my bank account showing him that founds had already been taking of my banking account, and he refused to look, he just wanted me to pay extra, I asked to speak with a manager and he said my manager is gonna tell you the same thing, to make this short, I had to call the police, he got so ugly, I wasn’t gonna stay there even I had to pay to get my belongings out. Because he didn’t want to let me get my stuff out , thank God I call the police and explain show him the proof and police told this guy to let me get my stuff out of the room . Now am waiting for a refund from hotels.com I never had a situation like this and I always booked thru them when I go out on little trips like this, my kids were panicking, about this whole situation, it was a very unpleasant experience, the room had a bad smell and there was roaches crawling on the walls. I would not recommend this place at all, I really regret booking it.

Stupidity!

The dam clerk told me I didn't have a room when I get there cause the card was declined, which was a lie because it s a relatively new card with more than ample credit line and surely enough to cover 89 dollars!!! she insisted that I use another card and told me I was still going to get charged cause it was after 400 oclock which made no dam sense to me since check in was at 3 that same day! She couldn't even talk English very well and that irritated me even more, I wound up leaving looking for a room elsewhere, I had the receipt and conformation number and she still insisted that my card was no good!!! Worst experience ever and I will never book with this website again!!! I will call my card company to make sure that this ignorant person did not go ahead with trying to charge my card for a non existent stay!!!!!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!!!!

The only minor problem was with the keys. I had to get my key done almost every day. They did not code it, or at least it did not work, every day.

This hotel was a good choice , now it is no longer!

The first time we stay here was a good experience but this time was awful, there are huge cockroaches around the hotel and inside the rooms, the fire alarm was ringing all night long and if you turn on the heating, the alarm starts ringing again, the maid threw 20 boxes of watches to the trash can when they were put on a table, there was no apology from the hotel and were treated even rude at check out.
