They rent out rooms to welfare recipients. Unfortunately they had some real messed up people staying there that fought a lot screamed at eachother with foul language and busted out a eindow cauding police to be called. Not very relaxing or comfortable. Staff were helpgul and nice but not a good environment at all. Plaster was coming off of walls in bathroom.

Mixed feelings. The room was very large, a good desk to work from, good shower water pressure. That said, the curtains didn't fully cover the window (which faces the hallway) meaning a) people could see in and b) it was super bright all night. The maintenance work was appalling - caulking looked like drunk uncle Reggie did it, two pictures hung so they were sort of overlapping, the A/C buttons didn't work, so it was full blast or unplug it. Oh, and the toilet set hit the shelf behind it meaning it doesn't stay up when you're busy. The carpet by the bed was sticky, which is icky.

I didn't use it but the pool looked awesome. The breakfast was rather pathetic - basically toast and a couple pieces of fruit. (There's a buffet setup but it wasn't being used). Parking is easy outside but you have to pay $10 to park under the building, which is silly.

All that said, this is the BEST VALUE you're going to find in the Waltham region. I'm not going to spend $350 to use a bed and toilet for the night, so this was the only option, and for the price, it was reasonable value.

Look elsewhere folks. The pictures online are great. But in person, very dingy. Room was run down and uncomfortable. Bed was ok. But could not hold a consistant temp. Either too hot or too cold. That crappy A/C would only cool the corner of the room it was in. The rooms open to the inside. So if people were being noisy in the pool or sitting outside of their rooms talking, it was pretty noisy. In the morning, the crew that set up the "breakfast area" is very noisy. Woke us up every morning. And the "breakfast" was cereal, bread, storebought muffins (that came in a bulk package so that people had to touch em all to get one out), and a filthy waffle maker. The whole place looked like it hasnt been cleaned, renovated or cared for at all. This place was also an outside hangout for, local neighborhood, folks. Smoking by the front door. Lots of arguing. Hated every second of our stay there. Pay a more and go somewhere else. This place is like section 8 housing.

The breakfast bar was completely depleted by 0830am. No OJ. No eggs or sausage. Just batter mix for a waffle. No one attended to the bar or restocked empty items like yogurt. I guess this is what you get for $105/night. The ceiling in my room was amateurishly painted over with some small areas of peeling and cracking. The TV cable interface is very difficult to use and there are very few channels to select from. The refrigerator desperately needed a defrosting and so my sodas froze. Hot water in the sink was very slow, but the shower was fine. AC was fine. Wifi was ok. Parking is either under the building for a fee or across the street for free. Parking was fine. The photo of the pool is probably the best part of the hotel. I didn't go in but kids would prolly like it. I would not stay here with my wife or kids.

Interesting hotel. Pretty well maintained, looks like it was a real go to place back in the day. staff is friendly and helpful, bed was very comfortable, room appeared to be clean.Two small problems, the bathroom sink drained very very slowly and the shower head did not stay on straight. You had to hold it in order to use it.

I have written about my experience with the Bedford Plaza Hotel just the other day, today is June 22, 2026. Once again I have extended my stay and once again I am still very pleased with my stay here. My room is very clean and comfortable, the staff is extremely pleasant and anything I have needed has been attended to quickly. There are many reautrants, shops and grocery stores if needed. Also, Bedford is right in the middle of Historical Lexington and Concord if that is your interest.

We really wanted to like this place! It was cheap,and we were in a bind. Our daughter was in the Hospital and we were told she would be there for a few days. And we live over 4 hours away.

I booked the hotel for 3 nights, but we ended up only needing the room for 1 night. Our daughter was released from the hospital much earlier than they originally told us.

So the standard room I booked for my GF and myself suddenly was too small.

I asked at the front desk if they had a rollaway cot for us. Nope. Next, if they had any rooms with a couch for our daughter or 2 beds. This is when she told us the upgraded room was 300 more a night. I paid just over $300 for 3 nights. I explained that we only needed the room for 1 night, not 3 and explained the circumstances.

She said she could leave a note for the manager about a refund, but we never heard a thing.

Anyway, back to the room issue. She said she could upgrade us to a room with a couch for our daughter for $100 more.

We decided that was too much. So, our daughter slept on the floor.

And we never got refunded a dime for the 2 nights we didn't use the room.

Oh well, we just won't be back. And the place is kind of run down, the bathroom was a hot mess. Room smelled musty.

But it was cheap!

Ac shut off around 2am in the room and it got super hot. I had to unplug the unit from the wall and reset it to get it to turn back on with the thermostat. Very inconvenient and rude way to be woken up early in the morning.

Hotel Was Fine, But the Breakfast Needs a Major Overhaul!
While the room was clean and the staff were pleasant, we were shocked by the quality of the breakfast. A hotel breakfast doesn't need to be extravagant, but offering simple additions like some fresh fruit, yogurt, or even a basic pastry would make a world of difference. We hope the management considers improving this, as it's the one thing that would stop us from returning.

The bed was comfortable. Fairly Quiet. Hotel was filthy. Crumbs in halls were never vacumed. All rooms smelled like smoke! Hotel staff tried their best to find one was wasn't as bad. Showers heads were not properly attached and sprayed bathroom ceilings.

Visit Boston often from NYC and decided to come again as like the quietness, tranquility, and safety of Bedford,

There also doesn’t seem to be many other safe looking hotels in Bedford area.

Another bonus is shopping center within walking distance.

There is a gym with weights that can access while there, although not sure it’s 24 hours access. Somewhat dated, but happy to
be able to use free weights.

The pool seemed to be undergoing testing and not accessible at the time.

Stayed in the suite room this time as the last time was there didn’t have a working tub and was something needed and looking forward to.

The suite room is large and super spacious, if property invested in cleaning and updating the carpets and chairs in room, would make for a really pleasant stay.

Sometimes end up extending stay when staying, so if booking through 3rd party, hotel will request additional fee to
stay in room.

On the last day of reservation, I left to go for a run a little before 10 am and could hear phone ringing as was leaving room.

At 11:04 am as leaving room again, could hear phone ringing again which was kind of disturbing as very quiet, professional, and don’t bother anyone other than when extending reservation.

Travel quite a bit for work and family at times, and first time ever having this type of experience/encounter with front desk calling.

Could be a boundary and cultural issue, but not something expected to occur as a someone who travels quite a bit.

There were so many minor issues that piled up became a pain in the ass, some examples: you have to pay for parking, room is advertised as soundproof and while it's technically true, they didn't sound proof the door so you can still hear noise from the outside, The furniture is nice looking but once you open the drawers they fall apart, their room photos show carpet the floor but our room specifically didn't have a carpet and while the the floor wasn't necessarily very dirty, still was very dusty when walking barefoot, ceiling looks moldy on some parts, the colors look outdated and illumination was a bit dark, not only in the room but on the whole "hotel". No one cleaned our room during our 3 night stay. They have a bathtub but it didn't hold the water for more than 10 minutes. I can keep going but you get the idea

Overall, not a terrible experience but will pay a bit extra in the future and stay at a motel 6 instead

The manager was super awesome. She checked me in early even though I had only come in early to ask a question (which she happily and readily answered for me).
Room was pretty clean, though there were some stray hairs from a previous guest. Looked like they tried their best to get everything, but a few stray hairs escaped them.
Breakfast was okay. The waffle maker might need the temp adjusted though. My waffle was undercooked in the middle. Lack of protein other than yogurt was a bummer too.
Parking was easy. I chose to park outside because it was cheaper. Car was safe both nights. Nice and quiet neighborhood.

As Hotels go, this one is pretty old and dingy. The decor still hails from the 1970s and hasn’t really been updated in the rooms or at least the one that I stayed in. The carpet is old and worn the balls in the bathroom have holes in them from where the towel rack was moved. The tub is gray and dingy, and that is reflection of the rest of the room as well. In addition, it’s not well soundproof as with evidence from the sound of some Guest speaking very loudly at 6 AM in the atrium on Sunday morning, which woke me up.

The breakfast which is toured as a continental breakfast is also without any real merit. I witnessed several people trying to get the waffle maker to produce waffles that were not stuck to the maker itself. The garage is. .

Parking is across the street or under in basement and you’re charged for it. Everything was relatively clean. The hotel hasn’t been kept up with as far as updating. I did notice this morning when I got up the sheet had popped off the corner while I slept and the mattress had had a couple drops of old (you can tell it had been washed) but blood on it. Not mine lol That was kind of gross. The breakfast was waffles and muffins nothing crazy. It was a decent cheap room but we won’t be back.

Breakfast was a farce. No milk for cold cereal. No hot water for tea. The waffle maker was a mess with gobbs of waffle not fully cooked and all over the counter. On Saturday morning there was two young boys that really made a mess of it and had no idea what they were doing. People were wasting disposable bowls and cups. One middle aged couple had 10 cups on their table. Very disappointing. We sat there for over 30 minutes looking for someone to come in and make things right. It didn't happen.

I booked this hotel because it was the least expensive option within 40 miles of the airport. It looked quirky from the pictures. It was definitely quirky. The parking is enough for 1 car to get through at a time. They had easy to get into spots. They charge $8 unless you want to park on the lot across the street. If you load the luggage cart before coming in, you'll have to leave it unattended in order to check in because there are 3 stairs up to a very small check in area out of view of the elevator where I put the cart. The front desk girl said my room number out loud even though she could have pointed at it on my key packet. Traveling as a female alone I worried someone may have heard room number and follow me to my room. The hallway to get to the rooms smells like the pool chemicals because the pool is in the middle enclosed space with little ventilation. The room was huge and everything worked. The coffee table had glass that was shattered which made me nervous. The floor had big spots on it so I kept my socks on. Overall I got what I paid for but at least I had somewhere clean to sleep.

All was ok. The AC and TV didn’t work in our room. Also, we paid for indoor parking in advance but when we came back late at night, there was no more room. Also, their website said they have a cot available which we needed for one of our kids (who can’t share a bed) and they didn’t have it. Also, we had to pay extra for guest number 4 (total close to $200 for one night) and then only had towels for 2 people. We asked for it and they never brought it and we had to ask again late.

This place has so much potential. Once inside, in the main part of the building, it looks good. But exterior, the garage, outside parking and just general view of building and its walls, needs so much work and cleaning. The room appeared clean but there was a dead bee, no working air conditioning, or fridge. Floors were concerning. The bathroom horribly outdated and horrible products. Staff could be friendlier. Didn’t know about breakfast. No information or papers handed to us. Oh! And big issue for me, he said my room and others checking in out loud. That’s a huge no no and I tried to stop it and had to tell him that’s a huge safety risk. They didn’t seem to care. Has potential really.

My stay at Bedford Hotel Plaza was honestly one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever had. From the moment we arrived, the place felt neglected and poorly maintained.

The swimming pool was completely unacceptable — there wasn’t even any water in it. Instead of being a relaxing hotel facility, it looked abandoned and unusable, which was incredibly disappointing considering it was advertised as one of the hotel amenities.

The room itself was just as bad. The windows didn’t even close properly, which meant constant noise from outside and cold air coming in all night. It made it almost impossible to sleep comfortably, and it also felt very unsafe.

Breakfast was the final disappointment. Not only was the food low quality and poorly presented, but there were actual bugs around the breakfast area. Seeing insects near food completely ruined my appetite and raised serious concerns about hygiene and cleanliness throughout the hotel.

Overall, the entire hotel felt run-down, unhygienic, and badly managed. I would absolutely not recommend Bedford Hotel Plaza to anyone looking for a comfortable or clean place to stay. There are far better hotels for the same price. Very disappointing experience.

This could be a nice place, but the carpet and furniture need to be replaced ASAP. This would make a very large difference.

Check in was easy and the person was friendly. Sheets seemed clean, and the place felt safe.

Parking was extra. There is a large indoor pool that the whole building is built around... but it is closed except for the summer. Why not have a pool open year round, especially when it is the centerpiece of the property?

Just very dated and had a weird smell. Staff was nice, but I was annoyed they xalled me at 10:45 just to make sure I was checking out at 11 because their housekeeping staff wanted to go home early. Also they charge for parking when there were literally hundreds of open spots so it felt like an easy way to get more money.

Door was kind of rickety but the bathroom was clean, the bed was comfy, and the price was very affordable. I won't be back but if you just need a room to lay your head this is fine.

There were issues with the cleanliness of the first room. The room smelled like cigarette smoke even when there were no smoking signs everywhere. The second room was cleaner but there were still stains on the towels.
The staff was friendly. The breakfast was a waffle maker and storebought muffins with cereal and coffee. They also charge for parking. Has potential to be a charming place, but need some work and a thorough cleaning. I probably will not be returning.

The place was ok. Staff was friendly. It's a weird hotel though. No other way to describe it. Also the pool was drained. Indoor pool and couldn't enjoy. The room was clean. Wasn't ghetto. close to a lot of things. No hate in my review. Not a bad place. Worth the money.

The room was clean however the bathroom and especially the tub were covered with scum. We moved out after the first night and went to another hotel. The amenities were awful as well the pool was completely drained and any sitting areas were dirty.

I stay at this property often due to its price, accessibility, convenience and safety concerns for guests. The inside parking, although a bit cramped, is monitored and recorded and makes me feel comfortable in the area. The staff is too busy, and guests are often unable to check in at the posted time. They are friendly and caring, just over worked. They have made some cosmetic improvements.
