Neither four star nor superior - watch out

We booked a \"superior\" room as an upgrade and what we got was anything but. It was a ground floor accessible room. The additional space was only to accommodate a wheelchair. The bathroom was abjectly terrible. Poor finishing, leaking sink, running toilet, stained stiff tap, and a dollar store plastic shower curtain between the toilet and shower which neither keeps the toilet area dry or gives you space to shower. At best you can use the toilet with wet feet and your knees against the curtain.

We called this out to the desk and via Hotels support and the property just didn't care. We were given the choice to pay €20 to downgrade to the standard room, tiny but at least with a real shower, €100 to upgrade to the suite and no offer of even a partial refund.

It seems that if there are actual superior rooms they have fewer than they sell. Then there's the added bonus that the carpet in the room was either worn, dirty or both but it was not a consistent colour, at least they gave us slippers so we could avoid touching it with our bare feet.

A great place for a vacation!

Family visit to Venice

Family trip. Chose to stay on Lido for a little more space and to be able to escape the city crowds. It did not disappoint.

Villa Pannonia is a lovely, well kept, small hotel in a very convenient yet quiet location, just a block back from the restaurants and cafes on the main Street.

Comfortable and clean room and a great breakfast buffet to start the day.

Reception staff were friendly and helpful and the woman working the breakfast area was very attentive and professional.

Great place to stay on Venice Lido. So convenient for the boat ferry to and from 'main' Venice, and an easy walk to the Lido Beach if you fancy a relaxing day. Lovely comfortable room, and good continental selection for breakfast - note the hotel does not serve lunch or dinner options. Would recommend as a place to stay.

We stayed at Villa Pannonia some years ago, and we enjoyed being able to return from busy Venice of an evening to sample the restaurants of Lido. As then, on our most recent visit, March 2023, we found Hotel Villa Pannonia a friendly place to stay, with clean well appointed rooms and lovely staff. There are many options provided for breakfast and the staff are very helpful and accommodating. The hotel is around 10 minutes walk from the Vaporetto and the various options for getting around. There are many restaurant options on the nearby main Street, and Lido is a lovely place to be based. For anyone visiting in summer, there is a large beach as a further option, which with us visiting in March we didn’t sample. I highly recommend Hotel Villa Pannonia.

I was surprised on how long it took to get to this hotel from the train station, it took us 1 1/2 hours by boat. So when we left we had to catch a train at 6:30 in the morning so we had to get up and leave at 4:30 in the morning just so we could make it in time. If you are looking at being where all the action and fun is, I would not go here. The hotel was pretty nice though.

Finally got to Venice - Our 2019 Xmas present

Booked 2 rooms - my husband and I had a king and our 2 grown up sons a twin. Rooms were of a good size and very comfortable. Could not fault cleanliness - daily maid service. If I had to fault anything it would only be that the shower cubicle in the twin was very small - walk in shower in king room. All areas of the hotel were spotless - bar area/breakfast area and reception. All staff were very friendly and helpful and reception staff fluent in several languages. The position of the hotel is great, just a short walk to the water bus/ferry and bus stops. We had the best of both worlds here as the hotel is slightly away from the hustle and bustle of the main road, but a very short walk to the beach and a water bus gets you to San Marco in about 10 minutes. All in all a great place to stay and we thoroughly enjoyed every moment - even fun getting lost in Venice most days, but you get to see so much more that way😁

Close to the sights, away from the tourists.

We're regular visitors to Villa Pannonia. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the Lido vaporetto stop which means that you can be in the heart of Venice in just a few minutes. It's wonderful to be so close to the main sights of Venice but really away from all of the tourists. We always get a warm welcome here. Our favourite Venice hotel.

Easily walkable from the main Lido port (Lido SME). Just one street away from a main road with restaurants, gelato, etc. Rooms were comfortable with nice amenities. This a beautiful hotel, the staff that work at the front are wonderful. The hotel is fairly close in walking distance to the dock that you have to take the waterbus, and it is extremely close to all of the restaurants and bars. The beach is about 10 minutes walking distance which is amazing, and Lido is it's own little town. One of the things I didn't care for about this hotel is the light systen, you have to keep the hotel key inside of a slot in order for the lights to stay on and for the TV to be on, and the TV doesn't have virtually anything to watch. Another downside is that you only get one room key per family, and you have to leave it at the desk when you leave in the morning so they can clean your room (so if you plan on going anywhere separately you have to meet somewhere to access the room). There is no pool, and there is no gym, that's another downside. Other than that, the hotel is lovely. It is a smaller hotel, so the rooms are farther apart rather than right next to each other. Therefore, it is a quiet experience. We enjoyed our stay. 😊

It was great to get away from the crowds and bustle of the main areas of Venice at the end of a long day of being tourists. Easily walkable from the vaporetto, even with a suitcase in tow. One of the nicer hotels in Lido Docks

Pros:

+ conveniently located close to the Main Street in Lido with all the restaurants, and to the Lido Docks for vaporetto access,
+ staff were always courteous and accommodating (they brought someone in to turn on the air conditioner when asked, had umbrellas for loan and provided a kettle on request),
+ provided room for 3 people was very spacious

- buffet breakfast selection was fresh but a bit limited.

The property was modern with everything you could ask for. Lovely hot shower with complimentary slippers which was a nice touch! The breakfast was the usual continental style breakfast with plenty of choice. Eg cereal meats cheese toast pancakes eggs juices tea and coffee. The bed was very comfortable...loved the bed! The hotel was a short walk from the waterbus station and was quite easy to find. There is not alot to do in Lido it is more of a base away from the hustle and mustle of Venice. We enjoyed our stay there and the staff were very helpful.

The hotel was clean, they charged for coffee and breakfast. The bed and pillows are very hard. I tried to cancel my last day of staying there 3 days in advance and the lady at the front desk tried to tell me because I purchased my room through Expedia and got it a little cheaper that I couldn’t cancel. Then she said I had to talk to Expedia, so I called Expedia, they called the hotel and the lady at the front desk told them that I could not have my money back. I would not go back.

Pleasant hotel on Lido island.

We had a very pleasant 3 night stay here. Although we had not planned on a beach on this part of our holiday, the hotel is located on Lido, the southernmost island of Venice, which has a very nice beach a short walk from the hotel. The hotel is situated in a very nice area, one street away from the main road. The staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Breakfast was basic, with fried egg available on request. Although the hotel is away from the centre of Venice, it was easy to get to, with several boat(bus) routes stopping at Lido. We had a 2-day ticket, which allowed unlimited travel on the boats. I would happily stay here again if we ever return to Venice.

The perfect solution for a visit to Venice and other islands, the Lido has it all.
The hotel is only 10 minutes from the ferry terminal with water taxis readily available to St Marks Square and other destinations.
There is a beautiful tree line avenue moments from the hotel door, with shops, supermarkets, cafes and restaurants. All lovely with excellent food and drink choice
The stunning beach is another 5 minute walk.
The hotel is modern, but very elegant, smart and clean with a beautiful garden front and back for relaxing.
The staff are exceptionally helpful, 24 hours a day

We chose this hotel due to its excellent reviews and it’s location between the ferry terminal and the beach. Our loft room was lovely 😊 and modern and was spotlessly clean. We didnt eat in the hotel but the dining room looked nice, breakfast was priced high at 12 euros. The staff in the hotel were lovely and extremely helpful. We will be recommending this hotel to friends who are looking to visit Venice while staying outside the city. 😎🍷👍

The hotel was right near the street known as the Gran Viale, which has lots of restaurants and shops - beautiful tree-lined promenade. It was also walking distance from both the vaporetto ferries that take you to Venice or the other islands and to the beaches. It was the perfect location and a charming little modern, clean jem on a beautiful island. The buffet breakfast was perfect for our family of four (boiled eggs, toast, pastries, cereals, ham, cheese, yogurt). We will stay here again

A most welcome Lido destination.

Privately owned and situated in a most peaceful tree lined street, quiet,and just seconds from all that you may require be it beech, transport , eating and general shopping needs. This Lido hotel offers
excellent tastefully modern rooms and facilities, sincerely obliging staff,
a most tranquil and shaded garden perfect for enjoying a drink of your choice from the attractive bar. Room service is also on hand.
Hotel Villa Pannonia will most certainly be revisited.

Smart hotel in peaceful location

Relaxed, unhurried weekend away from the centre of Venice. Water bus to the Lido, which is an island with hospitable restaurants and a variety of shops, along with a long sandy beach. Enjoyed popping over to see the sights, walk around the maze of lanes, with little shops and cafes. Architecture and views across the lagoon are fascinating. Romantic anniversary.

Just a heads up- this hotel was advertised to be located \"in the heart of Venice\", which we assumed to mean it was in the city. However it is on the separate island of Lodi. Lodi is a very nice island in and of itself and worth a visit, however you need to take a separate boat to get here and to the city which is where all the action is.

Manager and the owner has key for the safety box.
Safety box was still locked ,But it was obvious $ 1300 was stolen.
When we try to report to the police,they block us not to report.
They don't even investigate or help us to find money through the police.

We really enjoyed our stay. As we traveled with two children, we booked a two-room suite. The rooms were newly remodeled, very spacious and very clean. Beds & linens were super comfortable. The hotel is located on a quiet street, just few minutes of walking from the main Lido vaporetto (water-bus) stop, from where you can travel directly to Venice and Marco Polo airport. It is also a walking distance from the beach. The hotel staff was very friendly, knowledgeable and efficient. There are many restaurants and cafes nearby. \Will consider this hotel again for future travel.

Different to other Venice hotels

I struggled to find a hotel in Venice because they're all so chintzy and overpriced but the Hotel Villa Pannonia was the total exception to this. It's spotless and well-located on the Lido (which I'd definitely recommend staying on as opposed to mainland Venice). It is just a few minutes each way to the shops, beach and waterbus stop. We'd paid slightly more for our room but they upgraded us on arrival when they saw that we had a pushchair with us. Wi-Fi signal was strong too.

The nicest staff at this newly rennovated and well maintained hotel. Decent breakfast. A great location.

Nice Hotel, great location

Hotel was in a great location. We had a suite which was a fantastic size, however the bed was too hard and caused damage to my back. No tea or coffee making facility!!!
