We had a good visit here. We came with vehicle and its very close to the ferry. We found easily parking close by on the street. The staff was very friendly. We stayed at the hotel in the garden. The room was large and clean with A/C. There was a sofa bed for our child. It was fairly quiet. The breakfast was excellent with a huge selection. Though it was very busy when you arrive late. The walk to the passenger ferries is about 15/20 minutes. Overall we had a great visit.

Beautiful get away from the crowds of Venice! Staff at front desk were amazing. Room was lovely and property beautiful. Just a quick 10 minute walk to the vaperetto stop or the bus stop is right across the street. Breakfast included was extensive and delicious!! Grazie mille!!

The rooms were very spacious and nice. Include breakfast had a large variety and something for everyone's tastes. The staff was very accommodating and helpful when making plans and arranging transportation. We enjoyed the complimentary boat trip to the Murano Glass blowing and to Venice. What an amazing place.

This property was clean, quiet and comfortable. I had a great rest there. I liked that it had a bathtub and fridge in the room. The breakfast was good as well.

The service/services offered weren't as good - the front desk staff member seemed too busy to help me (and frustrated when I needed help). It was very difficult to get food ordered. My phone didn't work from my room and staff were frustrated at me asking to order something. We were 1km away from the nearest restaurant (walking) and when it was rainy, it would have been nice to have better options for food or better ability to order room service. The restaurant did not take walk-ins.

Pleasant hotel and quiet - away from the crowds! Bathroom however could have done with a refurbishment - the sealant around the toilet base to the floor was ragged and a few cracked tiles on the wall. However, the room and bathroom were clean. The 3 person room was very small. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Lots of choice too. The garden was pleasant and clean. Opera one evening in the garden. Staff very helpful.
A fairly long walk to the vaporetto station but pleasant and safe along the waterfront, even late at night.

Hotel is on a great location but the rooms they show that you can see ocean from your window that’s not correct. I booked room thought it’s on ocean and it will be nice to stay on beach but the room they gave us was at the building behind the main hotel inbetween apartments, it’s not on the beach building. For dinning they charge you Euro 5 for cutlery used, which I have never seen anywhere. On top of that they charge you cover charges which is that they set up that table for you. Like every mobement you do in that hotel is chargeable. No doubt their breakfast was excellent.

I booked this property as it was listed as a hotel with bar and restaurant. Due to our trip being pre season i thougt the hotel facilities would be beneficial as most places would be closed. The staff were friendly and helpful but the bar was closed as it is out doors, drinks were available on request in the piano room but there was no music or atmosphere to make this a possible venue for the guests to relax and socialise. We were served breakfast which was ok, but lacked variety and after a few days prompted eating out. The restaurant itself was closed, so no option but to go to one of the few options further up the island, or go on a boat into venice centre. The only facilities in the room were a small kettle which had no on/off switch, but no cups or coffee/ tea provided. Plus mini fridge with some bottles of water which we were charged for. All in all our stay was ok, but expected more.

Great location, really easy to find and to get to and from Venice. The only small negative was parking space. I knew from other reviews that it was tight, so we rented a small car on purpose and still found parking at the hotel somehow challenging. Breakfast was great and staff very friendly and efficient! Horrible Rude Hotel

I had stayed at this hotel 2yrs ago but I was on a tour, while we were there the staff was rude, I had to argue for a better room, I was given a child’s bed and a room that I couldn’t fit my suitcase. My friend told me we are on a tour they don’t expect us to spend more money so don’t expect more.
This time I payed for our room not on a tour and the service was the same. When we got there at 10:30am, we asked if we could get coffee and was told no breakfast is over, go to the bar outside and get some there, we sat there for 45mins no one came. The staff is still rude, no welcome no telling us breakfast times, we were supposed to get wine and a free trip we received nothing, never a smile. Our room was horrible and I know on the newer side the rooms are much nicer, the 3 night stay was not cheap compared to the other hotels we booked in Florence and Sorrento but the room was cheap, old furniture and the best part was in was hot in our room when I asked why the air conditioner didn’t work I was told “it’s winter open a window” even though they knew they were experiencing very hot weather and since is October 13 considered winter??
I love Lido but I will never return to this hotel nor will I ever refer anyone to this rat trap of a so called hotel.

This place was great.....We took the car ferry over to Lido....driving just a few blocks to the hotel...easy parking. Beautiful inside and outside seating is available for meals and drinks. The lagoon to the rest of Venice is directly across the street. It’s about a 15 minute walk along the water to catch the vaporetto.

No private beach

It was okay. Small old room. Garbage in bathroom bin left from previous guests and random stains on walls. With great garden view. There is no private beach as stated.When i asked about the private beach they even circled it on the map. when I asked if there was a bar at the \"private\" beach they said yes but you have to pay (i assumed he was saying you had to pay for the bar). Front desk was rude and quick to argue when i came back from beach and stated that the beach info desk said villa mabapa did not have a private beach but had a few umbrellas reserved with them(which can be used if you have a voucher, which we find out after we get back that you must pay for). As for the dinner, the live music was great and courtyard was wonderful in the setting sun. Food was not the best but still good. The only issue was waiting just over 1 hour for the first dish and nearly 20+ min for each one after on the prefixed menu.

A beautiful hotel in a great location away from the hype but a short vaporetti ride to San Marco Square. The car ferry ride was one of the best ways to see the sights and not leave your car in the car park. Stephanie and all the staff were very helpful and access to the Lido beach is great. The free trip to Murano Islsnd with a private guide was a wonderful experience even if we spent too much on some glassware.

Great hotel in a brilliant location for beach

The hotel is charming and situated amongst a garden with outside bar and restaurant seating. Hotel staff were excellent and very helpful throughout - especially Michele. (Pronounced Michael). We were in the garden building at the rear of the hotel which was very quiet. Room decor was slightly dated but clean, comfortable and functional; junior suite had a separate area for kids with single beds. Air conditioning throughout suite. Breakfast buffet had plenty of choice but staff had to refill constantly to keep up with demand! Dinner and wine was excellent and very good value. It was no trouble for the chef to prepare separate food for our fussy children. The hotel is located on the Venice side of the Lido with great views of the sun setting over the city. The location is perfect to escape the heat and crowds in Venice and perfect for families with children as there is a garden and free bikes to explore the island. The beach is within 15 mins walk and supermarket 10 mins walk. The vaporetto and Alilaguna stop is 20 mins walk from the hotel but buses stop along the route every 10 mins. The hotel offers a free water taxi to the island of Murano but we didn’t use it so cannot comment. Altogether we were extremely happy with our stay at Hotel Mabapa.

Quiet hotel away from the City of Venice

Hotel situated 800 m away from Ferry station in a peaceful and quiet part of the Lido.There is a Main High street opposite the ferry station with bars and restaurants.We purchased a 3 day (72 hours) unlimited use so could travel unlimited on the ferries.2 days was not enough for visiting Venice and would use hotel again.We did use a private boat taxi from airport to the hotels own jetty.With no lugging of suitcases around.

The hotel is lovey, the hotel staff are wonderful. They provide a fantastic all you can eat breaky in the morning which is amazing. The only two downsides and don’t let this put you off staying here is the rooms are small and the shower is tiny. So small that you can’t even bend down in it and it is very hard to wash your hair. The other downside and this is at no fault of the hotel, the ferry ride into Venice is quite long and it really takes it out of you before you start you day. However.. we would stay there again in a heart beat. I would just ask for a bigger shower next time.

The air conditioning did not work in our room.

The Murano tour was not a \"tour\". The hotel will get you to the island by taxi and then you are dropped off at a store where the sales people try to sell you stuff, then you are on your own to get back to Lido if you don't buy anything.

A wonderful holiday location

Having visited Lido as part of a stay in Venice we decided to take the plunge and go back for a short summer break. What a great choice and the hotel, set in a wonderful location facing the lagoon looking back towards Venice. The hotel has an elegant charm, comfortable and genuinely friendly. It is ideally located for a quick trip back into Venice and also Lido beach which is a few mins walk away. A great base to explore this fab part of the world.

Lovely location, lovely staff, fantastic food.

The Lido is a great place to stay. Frequent water buses take you over to the mainland and smaller islands and it is great to be able to relax away from the busy streets of the city. The hotel is situated right by the water. Full of old Italian charm. The staff were both friendly and efficient. The food - WOW! Just fresh local produce made into delicious meals. Our only regret was that we wished we could have stayed longer!! We all want to return to Venice and we all want to stay here again.

Nice Hotel on Lido

We liked the hotel except for two little things: we ate dinner at the restaurant and they charged us 6 euros table charge to eat there (3 euros per person per meal) even though we stayed at the hotel. The restaurant down by the main terminal charged a 1.5 euro person table charge. Italy is still the only county which charges a table charge at restaurants. I haven't been to other European countries which still cheat tourists with a table charge. Second, the hotel is a good, brisk 10 to 15 minutes walk to the main water bus terminal. When we were there, bus service to the hotel only ran one way (to the hotel). So we always had to walk to the terminal to catch the water bus to Venice.

Venice Trip

We have stayed at this hotel in the past & choose it due to, its location away from Venice and the hotels hospitality. Things have changed since our last stay, this time we were put in, what must have been another hotel that was purchased by Mabapa, we had to carry our luggage up 3 flights of stairs. This hotel was not connected to the the hotel so when you wanted to go to dinner or breakfast and it was raining, you needed to ensure you had your umbrella. Also if you just wanted to go for a drink you needed to put on your coats and such. The WI-FI was down more than it was working. Our last day there it was pouring so bad that we did not go into Venice the WI-FI was down for 6 hours. Note you can bring your car across as the hotel does offer parking, it is cheaper than leaving it in the parking garage on the main land.

Nice hotel on Lido

This is a very nice hotel located in a good position on Lido.

The staff were very friendly and helpful and able to recommend good places to eat at a reasonable price. The hotel is just a short walk to the main ferry shuttle terminal with boats leaving for San Marco every 10 mins. You can also easily get boats to any part of the wider Venice area from here, as we did when we visited Burano and Torcello.

The rooms were very clean and pleasant. Our bed was quite hard which suited us but may not be for all.

The only downside is that this hotel tends to be used by a number of tour groups which meant it was quite noisy at night and into the early hours.

Fab location for Venice

The hotel is on the side of Lido facing Venice so it's got fab views and sunsets! Lido SME where you catch the boat is a 15/20 min walk as is the beach off the other side of the island so fan location to visit Venice and also relax on the beach! Hotel is clean, beds comfy. Breakfast has almost anything you'd want and can be eaten in or outside. Hotel also has free bikes! Only annoyance was size of the bathroom as toilet was awkwardly in the corner and you had to sit under the sink to be on the toilet! But that was a price to pay for everything else being amazing!!

Quiet and pleasant retreat

We have been to Venice many times, however, never stayed in Lido. We were pleasantly surprised as it was clean and fresh, within easy access of Venice and the mainland, and great to relax away from the tourists.

The location of this hotel is great, just across from Venice Island and looks out onto the Laguna. It is easy to walk into the centre of Lido for drinks/food and shopping and also to get the boat to go elsewhere. If you go in late May/early June, you will have the beautiful smell of Jasmine everywhere. Also great for the beach and cycling for something else to do away from the city.

I spent 3 days of my vacations in this hotel, were more pleasant than I expected, the place is beautiful and peaceful, could go to Venice in few minutes and with very affordable rates.

Beautiful hotel small room

The hotel is beautiful and the staff is fantastic. The breakfast was delicious. Only problems were the bed was rather hard and not comfortable and the shower was also really tiny.
