Staff is wonderful. They can book all the attractions for you right there. Location was great! 10 min walk to all the major sights. Right on the water so can take the water taxi straight from the airport and be dropped off at their dock so you don’t have to struggle with luggage in the city! Resort is very updated and modern but still has the authentic Venetian feel. Bar was wonderful some of the best drinks I have ever had and the best spritz we have had in Italy.

This is a truly special place. From the moment we arrived we were made to feel so welcome. Our room, with its amazing view across the lagoon, was spotlessly clean with all you could possibly need. A special mention must go to Ivan for all his care and wonderful recommendations and also to Marco in the bar for making us feel so welcome. We will be back!

What hotel asks for a 5% tip on the room rate?

At check out, the staff added an automatic 5% tip on the room rate, and was able to maintain a straight face. When I stared blankly back, he said it was optional.

This is a beautiful modern hotel that is very centrally located. It is an easy 10 minute walk to San Marco square, and there are lots of great restaurants less than a 5 minute walk from the hotel. Water taxis pick up and drop off directly at the hotel. The rooms are quiet, clean, modern, very well appointed and have comfortable beds. Breakfast was great and we really enjoyed sitting in the beautiful courtyard each morning. One added bonus was that the hotel offers a complementary tour to the Murano glass factory. We would definitely stay here again and we will recommend this hotel to friends. The only negative is that upon checkout they added an “optional” 5% “employee benefit” (ie. tip) onto the bill. You can choose to pay this or not, but it’s a little uncomfortable to ask them to remove it.

The hotel itself is fantastic. The staff is very friendly and informative.

There are some unfortunate high cost elements to it. $30+ USD cocktails that don't have premium spirits for example. At checkout, they automatically apply a 15% gratuity to the whole bill, room included. They give you an option to remove it, as the whole staff looks at you to see if you will do it! There are tip areas for every bill you get for food/drinks while you're there too. You feel like you're in a very American environment where there is a constant ask for a tip. We're always happy to tip but applying it to a room rate felt unnecessary.

Just a beautiful property! Impeccable and beautifully decorated rooms and property. Amazing and friendly staff. Delicious cocktail drinks. Love the complimentary water taxi ride to Murano Island! Love the breakfast box for early mornjng departure! Love that it’s just on the perimeter of the busy San Marco. Queit nabe with lots of delivious restaurants. This is a fancy nice retreat!

I recently stayed at Ca’ di Dio, Venice for my 50th birthday. The hotel itself is absolutely beautiful, elegant, and peaceful, perfect for a relaxing stay away from the crowds. It’s in a great location, right next to the Arsenale water taxi stop, making it easy to get around (about 40 minutes from the airport).

The Highlights:
•Tranquil, grown-up atmosphere – Ideal for those looking for peace and quiet rather than a lively setting.
•Excellent location – Away from the busiest tourist areas but still very convenient.
•Good breakfast – A great selection catering to all dietary needs.
•Lovely amenities – A small gym and spa, plus a beautiful garden and quiet library for relaxing.
•Spacious suite (Room 105) – Our room faced a building site and the canal below. There were higher-floor rooms available, but at an extra cost. The other room option faced a wall, so we stayed in our original suite. At €600 per night for three more nights, paying even more for an upgrade didn’t seem worth it. The noise wasn’t an issue—just the boats on the canal from around 7:30 AM.

I loved my stay here. The property itself is gorgeous. The location is on the main island, so very convenient for sight seeing around Venice. The basic room is not the biggest but the bed is super comfortable. The staff is friendly and helpful. I would definitely stay here again.

Exceptional hotel!!!

My recent stay was nothing short of exceptional. The hotel room was immaculate and equipped with all the amenities one could ask for. The staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcomed and promptly catered to any request we had.

This hotel is fantastic, great location from St Marks Square. The rooms and facilities are all beautiful and the staff couldn't be friendlier. The arrival to the hotel was fantastic, arrival via taxi from the airport directly to the entrance to the hotel. The rooms are well decorated with huge beds, showers and lounge space. This hotel is truly fantastic.

Beautifully located for a stay in Venice. The Service was incredible. Access to the ferry to the airport couldn't be more convenient and the assistance from the staff from the moment we arrived was 5*. This is a very lovely hotel with incredible staff.

This was our first time at a VRetreats Hotel and I would choose them again. Ca di Dio is just off the tourist trail overlooking the lagoon in Venice. Luxurious but unpretentious with fantastic and helpful staff. A real home from home. Not a cheap option but very good value for money and new, clean, hi-tech facilities. Will definitely be back. The Vero Restaurant was also great - Samuelle the food manager was a wonderful host.

Beautiful hotel in a wonderful setting. Perfect decor that includes local art and gorgeous glass from Murano (not only the Libby chandelier but in all the rooms too). Breakfast in the courtyard was wonderful and the staff is lovely and super helpful!

Very clean with twice a day room cleaning and bed and towel change. nice room, lived up to what they promised. Complementary soft drinks.

We used the restaurant which in contrary to rest of the hotel, it was not great. Very expensive with small rabbit portions, and not great taste.

The culture within the hotel is to say yes and make your stay beyond your expectations. They always exceed my expectations. Simply amazing

We booked a couple of nights here as a prelude to another short break. We arrived from the airport by ferry, which delivered us just outside the hotel, and from the moment we stepped through the door we were looked after by wonderful people. They had upgraded our room and couldn’t do enough for us. Absolutely beautiful hotel and amazing staff. It’s a short walk to St Mark’s making it close enough but also far enough away. Once a convent, this hotel exudes calmness and that endured for the entire stay. The restaurant manager (forgive us please, but we can’t remember his name) was amazing. He was knowledgeable and informative and always on hand if we needed him, without being overbearing, and the food in there Vero restaurant was a fine dining experience we will never forget. The breakfast buffet is plentiful and varied. We have been to Venice a couple of times in the past but only for day visits which were ‘rushed’. This was the first time we had stayed and from now, we would not stay at any other hotel in Venice! Graze mille!

Great find in Venice

This is a great find in Venice , location is great and just far enough away from the main tourist parts to feel calmer whilst only being two minutes from the busier parts. The staff are friendly, knowledgeable and can pretty much sort anything , the bar and restaurant are great, try the cocktails in the evening they are a must! You will not be disappointed if you book here , it is a really wonderful hotel.

The hotel is beautiful. We arrived by water taxi to its private dock, which is a pretty cool experience. The decoration is modern and classy. The staff is efficient and attentive. Extraordinary drinks at the bar, with delicious bites as well. Special thanks to Diego, Marco and Davide who were awesome to us. We got a room upgrade and the suite was great. Couldn’t use the spa as it was closed Monday & Tuesday. The breakfast is delicious, served in great environment overlooking beautiful patio. Location is perfect, as it stands at the end of where all the carnival crowds usually are. The Arsenale vaporetto #1 stop is at the hotel’s door, which is extremely convenient. Thank you all at Cà di Dio for making our stay special. We hope to come back for the 2024 carnevale for another unforgettable experience.

My wife & I decided to go to Venice and stay in this wonderful hotel following previous reviews. We were not disappointed with what we found, the staff were attentive and courteous, we would like to especially thank Gideon who was very helpful and took us and our luggage to our room and was always willing to answer questions and always had a smile on his face. The breakfast was amazing, lots of choice and friendly and efficient staff to greet us every morning. The only slight blemish on an otherwise immaculate stay, was the lack of communication by the staff that the restaurant was closed on our last evening, as we had planned to eat in to sample the food. It is a great location, everywhere is walkable (if you like walking), plenty of bus/water taxi routes available within easy reach. Thoroughly recommend a stay if you get the chance.

Hands down the best hotel I have stayed in while in Europe. The hotel is a short walk from all major sites while being far enough away from the crowds to feel quiet and secluded. The rooms are stunning and the views of the city and the lagoon are incredible. Service in the hotel is by far its best feature, staff are super friendly and knowledgeable. I can’t imagine staying anywhere else while in Venice!

Amazing property gorgeous modern design precise operations dedicated, attentive and lovely staff = a seamless experience. Everything was as it was supposed to be for a hotel of this caliber (in my humble opinion). The food at both restaurants were excellent. It was the best I had in Venice. Do have dinner and drinks at Vera if you can. It’s not cheap but good things rarely are. It, however, is food worth writing home about (which I did). My favorite part of the experience has to be the people. As a solo traveler, they made my time at Ca’ di dio special.

Just Wow!!!

What a wonderful greeting for our first time in Venice. The hotel was gorgeous and we were given a wonderful, spacious, comfortable and modern room.
The staff were very friendly, courteous and helpful.
Breakfast was a joy with a great range to choose from with a comfortable dining room and very attentive staff.
We also booked some treatments in the spa which were wonderful and added a bit extra to our break.

Our family of 2 adults and 2 children had an absolutely amazing time at Ca Di Dio. It’s the complete package of comfort, beauty and amazing service. The whole hotel is filled with beautiful Murano glass from the lighting to the cups. But what elevated the experience was the fantastic service, esp. from Ivan - he helped us with everything, from logistics to advice on where to shop and where to eat. Thank you so much!!
