Overall wouldnt stay again or recommend. The pros were the location, breakfast and waitress staff at breakfast who was absolutely lovely and so helpful. Other Staff polite but not overly helpful, room clean but needs serious work and updating and photos do not represent the actual state and size of the room.
On messaging staff for help as the air con was off and only heating available, despite the rooms being incredibly hot and worse at night trying to sleep, they just said to turn the heating off although it wasnt on. No air con as advertised and no fans either. They also have a serious mosquito issue so each time we opened the window for some fresh air the room would again be full of them resulting in us both being bitten multiple times. The bathroom is incredibly small and you cant even sit on the toilet without hitting your knees on the bidet so dont stay if you are over 5ft 5 max. Shower extremely small. Staff were rude in message responses and very unhelpful when asked to change rooms.

Staff were lovely and made a real effort with our toddler daughter. The hotel itself is in a very convenient location but also tucked away so not too noisy in the evenings. The breakfast was great with lots of choice. The room itself could have done with a lick of paint, but provided everything we could need.

This was my first time to Italy, and my wife and I were very surprised to learn that the AC had been turned off for the season. In mid-october the temps were still high enough to need AC to keep the room comfortable. I feel as though this was no clearly communicated to us by either hotels.com or the hotel itself. Maybe I missed it, but I didn’t know. Hotels.com was helpful in addressing our concerns. The hotel itself was in a good location with plenty of good restaurants around. I’m sure we would’ve enjoyed our stay if we could’ve been a little more comfortable in our room.

This is a perfect spot to stay in Venice. Mere steps from the Grand Canal and St Marks but far enough away to be quiet and peaceful. There is no elevator but the staff are happy to carry bags!

The check in was pretty simple but the receptionist offered us to switch from out terrace room toman1st floor(which was actually on the second floor) room because of our luggage. We agreed but after going into our new assigned room we decided to go back and ask for our original room because the room did not have a view and it was going to rain the next few days. She said No I cannot help you. We then scanned the room and found that one of our white towels was stained by some brown substance, the comforter was dirty and the remote had some strange chunky stuff on it. Great location but will not ever stay again.

No sólo porque dormimos en dos camas sencillas juntas, sino porque el colchón y las almohadas eran duras y viejas. The location is really close to the tourist attractions and water ports for transportation making it very easy for those arriving or leaving. There is a walkway along the water full of restaurants where you can eat and enjoy the sunset by the water, mind you it is also quite pricey. The staff are kind and helpful with suggestions for restaurants and even when leaving Venice, the hotel staff gave directions and the best way to travel for your money. The hotel is clean. There is a wheelchair lift for those who need it. The room was clean, bed comfy and shower water pressure was good. The hotel doesn't have a refrigerator so if you needed to keep drinks cold you could not. This hotel has free water at the front desk for you to fill a cup to drink from or your own bottle. The A/C worked good. Overall it was a good stay.

This hotel is well located, staff was pleasant and the room was clean. Two things to note this hotel does not have an elevator/lift and the ac was just ok. The room was a bit warm. The windows opened and there was cool breeze. They have a restaurant for breakfast unfortunately our schedule didn’t allow time to sample the food.

We throughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Al Nuovo Teson. The location was great. It was just a couple minutes away from the piers and just a short distance from Piazza San Marco. The staff member that checked us in was very friendly and made us feel welcome. He also gave several great suggestions for things to do in the area. Our room was clean and quite comfortable. Good location. Close to all landmarks. Room was small. I Had to request to be moved a different room due to molds in our bathroom. The front desk receptionist that works 2pm- 10pm was very helpful and very nice.

The driver named paula who picked us up from the airport broke our luggage but never apologized and was rude.

The staff at this hotel are very friendly and give wonderful recommendations. They even suggested a faster and cheaper route to the airport than what was suggested on Google Maps! Only downside is the lack of an elevator, but the staff did help us take our bags up so this wasn't much of an issue.

Room is much smller than in the images, shower can just about fit an average build person.

The shower door was broken when we arrived, hotel services then removed the door, breaking pices off of the door in the process that I ended up stepping on because they didn't clean up the broken glass at all. Even after this issue was reported to the front desk we were still finding glass fragments. Very poor experience for my first time in Italy sadly

We had an excellent experience staying at Hotel Nuovo Teson during our time in Venice. The hotel is very close to the main square and also important water taxi stations that take you straight back to the train station on your way back. The staff was very pleasant to interact with and helped us with knowing our way around the best streets and food places. Felt there was no downside to the hotel. 10/10 recommend!

The “ lobby” of the hotel is on the second floor of a building which is locked at the street level. Although we arrived during the hours that the lobby was staffed, we waited on the street about 30 minutes before we were finally let in. There was a sign on the door to call either of two telephone numbers upon arrival, but the numbers didn’t work. We had to search through hotels.com to find a number that finally worked. The woman who finally let us in tried the numbers on her phone and they didn’t work for her either. The rooms were very clean and the linens were very nice, but I would recommend staying at a normal hotel that has a lobby accessible from the street that is staffed 24 hours a day.

The Hotel Al Nuova Teson is a lovely hotel in a very convenient location just a very short walk from the water taxi/ bus stop and the Doge Palace and St. Marks Square. There are lots of dining options close by and a neighborhood that you can walk through to really get a feel for the city. The rooms were spacious and very clean and the service was excellent. We highly recommend staying here.

We got a nice email three days before arrival showing where to get off the Venice vaporettos to be close to the hotel. Sign in was easy and they had our information. The room is small but expectedly so and we slept like babies in the comforable bed. Breakfast was generous and very well prepared. I'd recommend this place, and so would the other older couples we saw at breakfast.

We enjoyed our short holiday in Venice immensely. The hotel is situated literally in central to everything. All restaurants, bars are nearby and the boat stop is just 3 minutes walk-in distance. Can’t see any flaw staying in the hotel. The staff called Rado was extremely helpful throughout our stay. I would definitely recommend this hotel.

Excellent choice for those that want to be in a quiet and safe area in Venice. We would walk around the area late in the night without worry.

It was close to a lot of major landmarks and made everything so much easier for us as first timer Venice goers.

Also close to a couple of the major water bus lines so it is very accessible.

“A cluster of pubic hairs stuffed into my wife’s face cream by disgruntled staff member!”

Hotel advertised air conditioning at booking stage but they need it to be manually switched over by an engineer and this won’t be done for several months. Your choice is sleep in a hot room or be eaten alive by mosquitos if you open a window.
What we booked was not what we received,for medical reasons we attempted to moved hotels.We were refused a refund from the receptionist so I requested this be escalated.
They finally and correctly agreed to refund the remainder of booking (honourable)
Sadly the receptionist that dealt with us was ill tempered, unprofessionally dismissive and aggressive.
After returning from our morning out to collect our things we were horrified to discover our personal items had been tampered with by a disgruntled staff member! Including our toothbrushes along with a cluster of pubic hairs stuffed into my wife’s face cream!
I did attempt to resolve this issue directly with the hotel before publicly sharing this but I was dismissed.

Saying that the other receptionist couldn’t do enough and was very polite and approachable. The hotel is in a great location and the rooms, although small have been made to a nice standard. I’m sure this would have been a lovely experience in winter or in summer with working air conditioning and no issues or complaints.
Just pray you have no issues as you may be met with disdain, contempt and greed apparent with this owners responses!

This was an ideal home base for me and my family. We booked a family room, and my 2 daughters enjoyed having their own twin sized beds.
My husband and I enjoyed the welcome gift of Prosecco on ice, and the staff was very helpful in recommending restaurants and transportation options.
We were initially concerned about the location seemingly farther away from the city center, but it was very convenient. St. Marks square was an easy walk, and water taxis and the water bus were just down the alley. (Note there is no elevator, but we didn’t find that to be an obstacle.)
My highest praise is for the front desk gentleman who discovered I had left my purse in the lobby after we checked out. He literally ran to the water bus and handed it to me just minutes before we boarded the boat. I don’t know what I would have done if he hadn’t found it and chased us down. It had our passports, etc! Thank you for your kindness!

We were in the renovated part of the hotel, which was very nicely done. Small, but nicely appointed, very efficient and immaculate. Very comfortable bed and linens. The staff was extra helpful and accommodating...wonderful hospitality with a prosecco welcome! The location was great with easy access to the waterways - very close to the Bridge of Sighs, St. Mark's but the room was very quiet.
Would suggest getting a private taxi instead of the public ferry. Be aware that some of the rooms have many stairs.

BEWARE: If you book with a third party you will be assigned this hotel's smallest rooms, in the annex next to the main hotel. Though clean, these rooms are TINY with very cramped bathrooms. The hotel staff told me I can get better rates, and the larger rooms if I book directly with them. Also, only book a refundable room. I got my dates wrong, and booked a night too early with a non-refundable room. Within minutes I contacted the hotel to fix the error and they would not work with me. I had to go through Expedia and engage in lengthy chats. I finally got Expedia to promise me a refund, in writing, which was to be issued after check out. It's been several days and still no refund has arrived.

Awesome experience. The owners son was especially helpful with local restaurants - off the beaten path - and other areas to explore while we were in Venice. He was very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was very good also. Nice Boutique Hotel - and he even carried our bags to our rooms - since there is not an elevator. Very convenient - a stone's throw - to ferries to train station. Great place for a vacation and i highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Venice.

Fantastic all round stay. Convenient to the water bus stop to Punta Sabbioni and walking distance to St Marks Square. My only advice is to get the water bus from Piazzale Roma when you arrive in from the airport.

Staff were so friendly and helpful, I couldn’t recommend it enough. Breakfast was excellent too.

Only one very narrow hall and stairway leading to our room (fire escape awareness). Thin walls led to sleepless night due to neighbor noise level at night and early morning.
