Quiet island just across Venice. Close to a sandy beach and easy access to Venice and other islands.
Rooftop bar was a good perk, we had aperitivo before going out to supper in Lido.
We stayed in October and it was quieter than Venice but I can see that place booming in the summer months.

The location was great and check-in was fast. However, our room had a broken or non-working AC, and I got bitten by mosquitoes several times — about ten bites just on my hand — which I’m pretty sure made me sick for the next two days. The staff were amazing though; they helped me recover my lost bag after the airport misplaced it. The TV was oddly off-center and playing some random 90s history channel in German (or maybe Italian). The sea view was nice but unbearably hot in the morning with the sun rise! Also amazing breakfast service!

This place is horrible, when we check in I reported that AC wasn’t working and they didn’t have personnel to fix it because we checked in late like 8 pm local time. I was offer a fan for that night. Next morning I spoke to management and they promised to fixed for our second night. Came back late on our second day and find out AC was never serviced or even bothered to say I’m sorry. They didn’t care.
Breakfast is horrible, eggs bad taste, no one was eating the eggs, bacon was not cooked well enough, toaster for the bread was broken, milk for coffee expired. They’re changing 12 euros for bad food. If I could give this place a Minus 100 stars I would.

Very disappointed and not recommended. Going to dispute all charges during my stay

As soon as we arrived, we noticed that the internet was very slow, and our work depends on it. We went to the front desk, and he said we were the first to complain about the internet. That night, when I went to take a shower, the bathroom drain was clogged and the water wouldn't go down; it simply flooded the entire bathroom. My husband went to the front desk again, and he said he couldn't do anything at that moment because the maintenance wasn’t there.The only thing he could do was offering a mop for us to clean. That we wouldn't have maintenance until the next morning. That's exactly what happened. The next morning, maintenance came and fixed the problem. The manager, Sabrina, was very attentive to me in the morning and apologized for the inconvenience. Other than that, the hotel was good. I think if I could make one suggestion, it would be to have people work nights, especially in the summer.

Excellent hotel but more dated than the pictures look. Rooms are large but you can hear conversations from other rooms. Great to have a beach across the road - weather permitting, of course. It's also nice to stay away from Venice island but have access to it. Ferry no. 14 is the most direct way to get to San Marco in 10 minutes, but make sure you go in the right direction. The rooftop bar is lovely when open. The only downside is the breakfast which, contrary to other reviews, was quite bland and stale and didn't have much variety. We stayed in quite a few hotels during our trip and breakfast here was one of the worst. Perhaps cleaning the breakfast area frequently could be useful as the floor used to get sticky with children splashing juice when using the juice dispenser. Another review mentioned that there was prosecco at breakfast - yes, there is for 6 euros a glass but I never saw anyone drinking it.

The hotel is on the island of Lido about a 40 minute taxi boat ride away from Venice. We didn't realize just how far away it is, it's not a convenient place to visit Venice. HOWEVER, the hotel is Beautiful and is literally on the beach. There is something about walking along the shore of the Adriatic Sea. The beds were comfortable, and rooms large for Italy.

Located on the small island of Lido. It's a lovely hotel right across from the beach. It's only about a 20 minute walk from the main dock. (SME) Lovely and charming. With a nice rooftop bar and Pizza restaurant attached. The breakfast is also delicious. A great selection of typical \"American Tourists\" Eggs, Bacon, Sausage. But a lot of choices for breakfast for different palates. We'd definitely stay again.

We stayed here in March 2025, in one of the top-floor apartment rooms. It was very spacious, comfortable and clean. The breakfast was great (especially the coffee!)

The hotel's location in Lido is quiet and relaxing, with considerably fewer people around. I would say that the bar is somewhat over-priced (perhaps this is a Venice issue), but I had cheaper drinking in other hotels on my trip. The hotel's restaurant was good, and reasonably-priced (we had pizza).

Also shoutout to the barman, he was great!

Overall nice place. Very good breakfast.
Room was hot in the evening. It had air conditioning, but the concierge refused to turn it on. I slept with the window open and the blind rolled all the way up. Maid didn't replace towels and dirty mugs. She'd tidy the bed though.

The only positive of this property was the location. It was located across from the public beach on island of Lido. The property itself is old. The rooms are small. There was NO AIR CONDITIONING or there was POOR AIR CONDITIONING. First night was room with no AC. Hotel didn’t move us because hotel was full and there was ZERO COMPENSATION. They moved me to a different room next day with POOR AC. I slept outside because it was cooler than the hotel room. Unfortunately, got about 30 bug bites. There were other people in lobby complaining about NO or POOR AC. Staff indifferent. I checked out a day early and hotel did not compensate me for the day:night I didn’t stay there. They nickel and dime you for everything. No breakfast included. $30 to go to area of beach that had umbrella and chairs. They didn’t have any included in cost of stay. They charge $5/day for you to have a beach towel. After I paid on Expedia for 4 nights, cost was not refundable. This was my first trip to Italy and this experience really contributed to a less than enjoyable experience. I WOULD HIGHLY ADVISE TO NOT BOOK THIS PROPERTY.

The staff was really good. Our room, however, it was on the first floor and it was actually for disabled people. So the shower just had a small strip separating that between the sink. The toilet was half in the shower. Making for a weird experience. All the outlets were very loose for plugging in devices. It was clean I will say that.

I booked this hotel because it’s beachfront, with buffet breakfast, & air conditioning. We arrived & wasn’t informed that their air conditioning wasn’t working. We wouldn’t know if we didn’t ask. The front desk gave us one electric fan for 2 rooms. I asked for another fan & she said they don’t have extra. We arrived Friday we’re booked til Sunday. According to the lady at the front desk, their air conditioning parts will not arrive until Monday. We had to open all windows for some breeze. It’s too warm & humid with the windows closed. Mosquitoes started coming in & kept us awake all night. By morning, the mosquitoes had a feast on us. I cancelled our 2nd night & booked elsewhere. The beach across the street is also with lots of mosquitoes that they would go to our eyes. Also, the hotel is right next to a ghost town. There’s a locked gate that prohibits anyone from entering, but we can see the abandoned buildings, with no signs of life, on the other side of wall.

We loved our stay at Venizia 2000. It was in a quite area but so convenient to the beach and walkable to shops and dining. The room was very spacious and clean. The only complaint was a few bugs in the room. The service was excellent. We stayed with a family of five and had plenty of space. Higly recommend this hotel.

The place is nice, especially the location- right accross the street from the boat station. It was very convenient for trips to Venice (15 min. One-way, approx). The staff is very polite. The room is authentic, but if you like good sleep- it's not the best choice. The building is old, and the walls are thin, plus transportation makes noise. Nevertheless, the view from the terrace covered any imperfections:) BREAKFAST is amazing like all food in Italy! Recommended for short stays!

I liked that the location, you can walk to some areas of interest. I didn't like it, there is no elevator for guests, the bathroom is very small, especially the shower. When we arrived, the person who helped us was very friendly. Then our shower was clogged and flooded the entire bathroom. The next day it was notified on the frontdesk and the person was not very empathetic. On the other they went to unclog the shower.

Charming Lido beachfront hotel.

Older, charming, clean and comfortable hotel across the street from the Lido beachfront and easily reached by bus from the water transport landing at Lido SME (Santa Maria Elisabetta). The desk clerk was super friendly and helpful -- and very accommodating of a late (after 11:00 p.m.) arrival which was welcome after a day of flight delays, missed connections and long airport waits. Terrific breakfast included.

Lovely family-friendly hotel! Staff were all really friendly and helpful. We stayed in a 2-bedroom apartment on the top floor and didn't want to leave. The kitchen unit enabled us to cook basic meals when we didn't feel like eating out and we had beautiful views - Lido beach on one side and Venice on the other. Breakfast was delicious and there was a wide range of food (even though our children at too many cakes and biscuits!!) Location was perfect for us - immediately opposite a public beach, 10 minutes walk from the vaporetto stop, and 5 minutes walk from a discount supermarket. We hope to return soon :-D

Bus stop is immediately in front of hotel. Alternatively, 15 minute walk to water bus station. Water bus takes 30 minutes to reach Venice. Would recommend as a cheaper (but nice) alternative to staying in Venice. Can check in 24/7, and there are 24 hour water busses (NOTE: water BUS is public and €9,50, while water TAXI is private and €90,00 ). Clean, quiet, great shower, and complete blackout curtains.

As it’s low season in October the Lido was quiet, a relaxing contrast to busy days in Venice. Tree-lined Main Street with several restaurants to choose from. Easy access to the water taxis.

Nice quiet location. Easy flat 15 minute walk to Lido water taxi port or bus. Only negative was we were in a room for the disabled and we are able bodied. The bathroom was set up to use a wheelchair in the shower, however water went everwhere flooding the floor and with the toilet up the other end of the area, you the had to wipe up an extremely wet floor using a towel. The area was poorly designed for drainage.

If you want to be on the beach look no further. This hotel is great. Their basic rooms are out of the hotel, so it was more like a motel for me, but other than that it is all good. Breakfast is good (maybe stay away from the eggs), rooms are good (I saw two, both were basic but in good condition), personnel are friendly...

We really enjoyed our stay. The hotel is right in front of beach which for us was perfect. We were originally given a room on the ground floor which had its shower right in front of the bathroom. Every time you opened the shower the space around the toilet would be wet and have soap on it. I couldn’t stand it and eventually asked for a change of room on our third day and was given one right away.

The hotel was wonderful. The setting beside the beach was beautiful and I would highly recommend leaving the hustle and bustle of Venice and go to the Lido. The staff were so pleasant and could not do enough for us. The room was fully equipt with a mini bar and also a bath. Coffee making facilies would have been a bonus. Breakfast was wonderful. It was a buffet stocked with meats, cheeses, bread and also fruit and cereal with a supply of fresh croissants. The hotel also offers dinner at an additional cost and that was lovely too.

ABSOLUTELY NOT THE FAULT OF THE HOTEL but there is a music bar opposite the hotel that is VERY NOISY until about 4am even when the next day is a working day. We were surprised the “council” allowed such a place to operate.

Possibly the cleanest hotel I've stayed in. Great service, friendly staff and a peaceful retreat away from the hustle and bustle of Venice. Great local amenities and a clean beach straight opposite. Food was good too...

Lovely hotel facing the beach. Easy access to public transport. Hotel breakfast excellent choice and quality
