The location is excellent. This is a decent place to stay for basic hostel style accommodation. The only issue we had was the terrible smell of cigarette smoke in the “non-smoking” room when we arrived. Staff would not change our room so we had to air it out as much as possible before we could enter.

When we first checked in, there was powder from the ceiling that fell onto the coffee mug tray. The washroom was satisfactory at best. A/C was good though.

Very helpful staff, but I can’t believe they gave me a windowless room for 7 nights and the elevator was broken for 3 days while I was on the top floor. The bed wasn’t the most comfortable, but it served its purpose.

I wasn't expecting much from this place, but a few things really annoyed me about it. Firstly, they made us ay another $25 as \"government tax\" even though the booking had been prepaid in full. found this sneaky, Receptionist was not pleasant, the AC did not work properly and the only electrical outlet in the room was falling off so was utterly unusable, Stay away is my recommendation

Great location, simple decor but super comfortable

We checked in after 4 pm and we were offered free upgrades , we booked for 3 nights and our room is on the 9th Floor, it is quiet, room is clean, bed is really comfortable & facility are sufficient for our stay. The staff are really friendly and nice! We are very happy with our choice.

Condition of room & common areas weren’t matching the expectations from the photos. Toilet was dirty, specifically having “new” stains on toilet seat, when I checked in, and this didn’t give confidence on the other areas of the room. The lights were also flicking on the floor that I’m on. The only upside to the stay? The location was convenient — but there are also other hotels of similar price ranges that boasts the convenience.

Very poorly maintained property—shower was dirty with mildew, peeling paint, broken shower head. The room was the absolute smallest we’ve ever stayed in. Scratches and marks on the walls, dingey, felt poorly cleaned.

On the upside, location was really convenient next to a metro station, close walk to Victoria Harbour, breakfast restaurant options close by. Beds were very firm and the area was quiet at night. Staff were friendly enough.

Overall disappointed with value for money and would not stay there again.

*** ADVICE *** GET CASH as soon as possible while STILL IN the Arrivals area (before baggage claim or immediately outside the secured zone) . Taxis do NOT take credit cards—CASH ONLY. The HK metro system is excellent and getting downtown was very fast (faster than taxi) and less expensive than taxi, by half. Study the Airport Express and metro options for getting to your hotel. Wish we had! That’s another story.

MRTやトラムの走るメインの通りから近いので、交通の便はかなり良いと思います。
ベッドはかなり小さいので、マットレスを足の方ににずらして対応しました。
シャワーヘッドの角度が安定しないと書かれている方がいらっしゃいましたが、自分の部屋は大丈夫でした。
冷蔵庫は無いので、冷たいものは隣のコンビニで確保です。
あと、入口の扉に遮音性が皆無なので、夜中の通路の音が気になりました。
寝るだけって割り切ることができるのならば、良いと思います。

Location is good, near central station. But thats it, nothing else. Also my weighting machine was stolen from my room by the cleaners. Room was very dirty, no hygiene. Room was very small, no place even to open my suitcase. Not pleased at all.

The conditions seemed to vary significantly between rooms, and the room I stayed in was small, but the shower pressure was strong and good.

If you're coming back to the hotel just to sleep, it's sufficient in terms of price and location.

Not the place for long stay

Before making the reservation, I understand the room is small. Yet, couple of issues during my long stay...2 times the internet was DOWN, 1 time the electricity was DOWN (it was night time), NO hot water since day 1 (glad it was summer). On the upside, the staff were quite responsive to issues (maybe they are up to problems on frequent basis). Room cleaning service was available upon request (yes everyday) even though the quality of cleanliness is about average....

Eventually I left for another hotel. One lady on staff is very friendly, everyone else is rude. The nightmare began with an unnecessary 01:30 fire alarm evacuation because of old faulty smoke sensor happened, and from reviews seems to have happened before… Preventative maintenance is an issue. Trust just ruined from this point, now sleeping with an eye open.

No hot water, at any time of the day for 3 consecutive days. WiFi was dead for all but the first day.

Bed sheets given after house keeping had someone else’s blood on them.

room was very narrow (top floor), furniture was repainted, wallpaper was polystrene padded like 1980s ceiling paper & made for an isolation_cell. only one tiny window in the room, was the wet room. Thankfully only stayed ONE night. Location was perfect for transport / food / access / shopping. Lobby entrance was also very narrow.

Homy was truly disappointing

I have been a guest at this hotel several times over the 3 year pandemic period and those stays were good enough that I continued to return. This time the price was more than double the fee last month and the room was nothing more than a converted Janitor's closet. Walls dirty and crumbling plaster. No bottle water and a toilet that worked more like a village hand pump than a toilet. I've stayed in better rooms in poorer places than Hong Kong. Homy was pretty homley this time around.

Really recommended!
I stayed at Homy Hotel for a week, and the experience was very positive. The room was a great size for its price, the hotel's location was terrific (a stone's throw from the SheungWan MTR station), and the staff were helpful and friendly.
The rooms were overall quite clean too.
Would definitely stay there again!

We liked mostly everything about the room! The bed was comfortable, the aircon worked well, and there was a huge beautiful balcony! The price was also very good. The only things that were challenging was that the walls are apparently very thin because we could hear everyone around us talking and laughing quite loudly til after 11pm, which was difficult for our baby to sleep. As well the water in the shower didn’t get very warm.

It's a nice hotel.

It's a nice place for sleep and shower. Sfatt is nice and caring. Daily housekeeping is provided.
Location is excellent near Sheung Wan MTR Station. Lots of restaurants and bar as well.

The room looked like a hostel. Hallways and loft looked refurbished but the room itself was awful.
Mould on the walls, water damage on the ceiling, bugs all over the bed.
I took the place as a I had a really late flight and wanted somewhere to sleep- I barely stayed for two hours and didn’t even feel comfortable showering as it was so dirty. Would not visit again.

Homy hotel central is a small but very clean and practical place to stay for a visit to hongkong. . The staff is very friendly and helpful. The area is good with many great restaurants and access to transportation to all points in hkg. This is a no frills accommodation but very satisfied . Considering that hkg is a huge city this place is great place to stay

Excellent location but tiny room

Excellent location in town central, just 1 minute walk from a subway exit and only 4 stops on the A11 bus from the airport (this is like an express service!). Also, hotel looks new and front-desk staff are very friendly and helpful. Amenities include coffee/tea, disposable slipper and a toothbrush.
Downsides: the room is extremely tiny. Fine if you just need a place to shower and sleep. The door closes very loudly. The guests next door slammed their door several times every night at 1 to 2 am for some mysterious reasons. The shower cycles from hot to cold and back after a few minutes every night. Wondered whether this is a design feature to save water.

Homy Hotel Central is in a very good location in Hong Kong island. It is close to Seoul station. The room is very small, the smallest room that I have ever been in a hotel. But, Hong Kong is a compact city. I don't guess that other hotels at this price have similar rooms.

Nice hotel at a low price.

The Homy Hotel is a great place to stay for a budget price in Hong Kong. There are sights, restaurants, and shopping in walking distance, but the Metro and Tram are within two blocks, which is the best way to get around H.K. The room is small, but has everything you need including water and wifi. I rate it high because for that price in Hong Kong, it is a bargain while meeting basic needs. I have stayd there before and will stay again.

The room is a small retangular box with no windows. I believe the price was too expensive for the lack of value. It was advertised as a semi- double bed. Just please correct the description as a single bed. Not recommended for a couple. Its good for one person. Old towels and dirty bed cover.

Good location, and reasonably priced. “Get what you pay for”. Relatively inexpensive hotel, but paper thin walls. No windows in the room and quite tiny, but clean, good shower and easy MTR access. Noise from the next door guests was ridiculous. If you luck out and no one is next door or they are at least quiet, the room works for sleeping and showering. No English speaking channels on the tv either.

Short walk away from Central and Soho areas
Right next to the Sheung Wan MTR exit as well

Hot water took quite a while to get started, so that's the only negative I can really think of

Fine if you want a great central location on Hong Kong Island, just a few yards from the MTR and a pleasant walk to the piers. A clean 'deluxe' room has no space for more than the single bed, and if you want to sleep despite inconsiderate neighbours, you will need ear plugs.
Photo shows the room, including reflection of shower in the mirror beside the sink- slightly odd having to peer round to use the mirror...

Conveniently located next to Sheung Wan station exit & Ferry Terminal to Macau & islands. It is a compact - all you need - to get to rest, nothing luxury. the staff / security guard always greet you with smile. The only cons - thin walls - had restless night with noise coming from next room (baby crying, kids shouting etc)

Hotel is clean and convenient. Train station is a few minutes away and the harbour is opposite the hotel. Overall a good stay except that there is construction when we were there and it’s a bit loud. Will recommend friends to stay at this hotel.

Overall the hotel is not in the best conditions and its bearable considering how close it is from the station exit A2.
The building diagonally opposite the road is going through major renovation and i could hear the drilling even late at night. Not the hotel's fault but worth taking note.

The hotel staff is very friendly. They cooperate on each level for client requests. The rooms are awfully small. Especially the one I stayed in had no sort of ventilation, window or daylight access. All in all will like to come back and stay in a better room.

Location is excellent, very close to transit and have many choices of food. Hotel is dated and very small. Room was 15'x8' with a small bathroom. Hotel definitely needs a refresh. I only stayed 3 nights.

Clean budget hotel for everyone

For the price in that area, it can't be beat. The room is small, but has everything you need, tv, private bath, good wifi. Across from the metro. Walking distance to ferries, busses, tram, central, Hollywood Road, Western Market and more. If you want more amenities, it would cost at least double, if not triple in that area. If you just need a bed, with the basic amenities, this is the best place.

Was a great hotel, had a good space, compared to normal size of Hong Kong Hotel rooms. Of course was expansive, but offered a good deal compared to that hotels in Tsim Sha Tsui where you have to sit on the toilet while having shower and still need to pay at leat 400 hkd, this one have a big toilet, good size bed, some space to move around... Was super confortable, good area and really near the metro station. Had a Great stay.

If u want earlier check in, advisable not to book room with balcony due to limited rooms. Hotels are always fully booked.
Great location to ferry terminal to Macau and to the MTR. If u r coming from airport and taking the train to HK station, can take the free shuttle bus at HK station to hotel.

Solid hotel choice, no frills, would stay again

Pros: Location! Right next to the Sheung Wan station, which is a super convenient station (just one stop from Central). It was easy to get from the airport to the hotel and from the hotel to any sightseeing spots. It's also walking distance to a ton of great restaurants. Cons: Beds are really stiff (but we still slept fine), no fridge, and there aren't many frills. Overall, a solid hotel choice. Would definitely stay again.

Decent hotel close to MTR

Hotel is very close to the MTR station so that is very nice. Hotel itself is decent, the staff was friendly. The furnishing is modern but a bit run down. We had to switch rooms during our stay because the shower was leaking a lot of water to the rest of the bathroom. The staff was very quick to accommodate us, no questions asked.

Expedia stuffed up the booking. Hotel staff was very professional in handling the booking when no name or booking number was given to them. Had to call to sort out and didn't get room to 1am after flight to Africa. Great job by the person at front desk to fix this.

Tiny Tiny Room

I stayed in a deluxe single, which is too small even for someone like me who is petite with only a single suitcase. I had to open my case sideways along the entrance passage, then close it and have it standing up before I can move around the room. There was no surface space to place my laptop and I practically did everything from my bed. There were hairs on my pillows, and the shower cubicle had mould everywere. Looks like it hasn’t been scrubbed clean since day one. The mirror in the bathroom is located to the left side of the basin, so you’d have to twist your head and body in an awkward angle to use it. Terrible terrible design. No thought has been given to the occupant when designing the room at all. The only plus is the location. It’s close to an MTR station. If you’re arriving with a heavy suticase, do not use the A2 exit as directed by the hotel but E3, which I found to my dismay and ended up carrying my suitcase up the narrow stairs. There’s a lift at E3.

If you’re travelling without a suitcase and don’t mind the backpaker vibe (this doesn’t feel like a hotel), nor the lack of room to even do some stretches, then this is the place for you.

terribly small, no windows, you can barely move, the bed is not for two people, unless one is a small kid.
