Excellent stay. We stayed for 6 nights and became very comfortable as soon as we checked in.

Good sized rooms (for HL standards), very comfy bed. As we were celebrating my wife’s 40th, They upgraded to Platinum room us at check in (Thank You!).

Great location - minutes walk away from amazing breakfast places, Bakehouse, eating joints, Queens road shopping and MTR.

Highly recommended.

Room was clean, however the bathroom shades/blinds are not able to be completely closed and the bathroom door is opaque, so come the morning the room is lit with morning sunshine when we want it to be dark and sleep in. The room design needs ensure proper black out capability

Service was impeccable and locarion was right in the middle of everything. But room was rundown. Sink had been reglazed and was peeling off. They only provided two towels and two hand towels. No washcloths. TV was acting up. But appreciated full size toiletries and Neapresso coffee.

Top Notch Hotel for Business Travel

This hotel offers very convenient location with close proximity to Soho, Central business district and MTR station. Staffs are very friendly and helpful. Very comfortable and spacious (in HK standard) rooms. Will recommend to all business travellers.

my flight was late so i didn't check into the hotel till 7pm. the staff were unhelpful, even to the point dismissive. i asked for room upgrade and got a blank NO! no one seems to like working with Expedia anymore and realised it was almost half price if id booked direct (!!) i asked for late check out, and guess what, told NO!! hotel is basic, staff have no clue what they are doing, room was basic, not even properly clean as there were crumbs on the table. i stay here because its next to our office but i think i need to reconsider options. (wondering if its new management, as the staff used to be MUCH better previously the 10 times i've stayed here! this trip seemed like an issue for them to host guests!) sad, as they don't seem to care if you stay here or not, stay regularly or not..

This is THE perfect location for enjoying the Central district. Only 2 steep flights of stairs puts you in LKF, short walk to the Honk Kong station and Starr Ferry and only 35 feet away from The Big Bus stop #4. Enough about the location, the hotel is quirky, comfortable and nicely equipped. Did I mention quirky? There are only 2 rooms per floor, free washers and dryers, and a staff that rated as one of the best I have ever experienced. I can’t thank them enough for the help they offered on a personal matter and suggestions on what to do. A big thanks to Adrian for providing his contact info if we needed help or advice. I would return to the Ovolo Hotel in a heartbeat on any return visit to Hong Kong.

Can feel the music vibration from our room in level five. The mattress although hard but I can feel my partner whenever he moved. Not for light sleepers. Water pressure is good and hot water is quite immediate. There is a free mini bar which made us feel welcoming. Hotel is located up the slopes so unless you enjoy walking it would be quite a walk to the nearest mtr.

If walking from Central, take the mid-level escalator up to the Parade Ground/Old Prison and you will get right to the entrance without much perspiration

Fantastic room

Our room was so spacious, enormous for Hong Kong. Even the bathroom was spacious, with a really long vanity. Equipment included motorised curtains and blind, free mini bar, plenty of hanging space and a table and 2 chairs.
The staff were excellent, especiallyFelix and Arhur, who went out of their way to be helpful.
Don't be put off by the tiny foyer.

They claim the rooms are 33 sq metres when they are really only 23 sm. Water dripping from roof vents, mould in shower, laminate floor falling apart, fridge not working, no drawers for clothes, tiny wardrobe, almost no storage, nowhere to put stuff in bathroom, and numerous other minor issues. They moved us to another room still small also with many issues.

It’s a construction site. They should shut it down during renovations or at least let you know when you book. The lifts are filled and slowed down with construction workers all day. Construction noise started even on Saturday morning by 9am. I’m sure it’ll be great when it’s all done but in its current state I’d have stayed elsewhere.

Not knowing that construction was happening EVERYWHERE and being awaken early in the morning by VERY LOUD construction noise that was NO GOOD. Had I known this in advance, I would have selected a different hotel. Once construction is done, will be a great property.

We stayed at Ovolo for our 22hr layover and wanted to be right in the heart of central. I thought being around all the nightlife, the noise would disturb us (even after we got back from going out until 2am) but the hotel tower is so high up, we did not even notice any noise. This was an excellent location for going out and being within minutes of walking distance to it all. Although the hotel itself was under construction, it did not hinder our experience at all. The room was clean, comfortable and perfect for our layover. I highly recommend for comfort, cleanliness and location!

Nice, Clean Room but Other Things were Off

Hotel room was nice. Nespresso machine was broken in my room but would have been nice if it had been working. There was construction as well with a note that it would start at 10:30am, which was not great but at least there was a notification. HOWEVER, it actually started at 9:30am, and it was SO loud. I called the front desk, and it stopped until 10:29am; still very unpleasant. Also, I'm not sure why they can't get the room temperature more normalized based on your check in time. After I checked in, I walked into my room, and it felt like 100degrees F. It was not feeling good, and it took me a few minutes to even figure out how to get the AC to turn on. Other hotels have the temperature in a more pleasant range before you show up.

We had an excellent 8 nights in Hong Kong staying at Ovolo Central. A super smart hotel with great friendly, genuine decent service. Not pretentious or snobby... Just perfect! Location was spot on for clubs, bars and lovely restaurants. 5 to 10 minutes from central MTR station which gets you almost anywhere! Loved Hong Kong and the hotel made it even better!

Close to entertainment, shopping and office buildings in Central. A boutique hotel, apartment building type, with curteous and friendly staff. Very good service and more personalized than in large 5 star hotels. Small lobby reception area but with free coffee and alcoholic beverages. Complementary minibar in the room. Modern, good taste decor, good size and well equiped room. Breakfast and dining next door but can also get room service. Will return to Ovolo in our next trip to HK.

Boutique hotel at a great location

My first night at the hotel was a Friday. Starting at around 10 pm, I started hearing the thumping of loud music. It did not come from inside the hotel to be sure, but somewhere in the neighborhood. I checked to make sure all the windows were closed, and they were, so the thumping somehow came through the walls. My room was on the 21st floor, but apparently that was not high enough. Mind you, the hotel is in the famous Lan Kwai Fong neighborhood with its many clubs and bars, so no doubt the music emanated from one or more of those establishments. Anyway, the thumping as well as, later on, the noise of people talking continued well past mid-night. Fortunately, I did manage to sleep anyway. What happened on Friday happened again on Saturday, but became slightly less pronounced on Sunday night. I left on Monday so cannot tell you if everything is acceptably quiet on a working weekday. So be forewarned that if you decide to stay at Ovolo on a weekend, you may have to bring earplugs!

Fantastic hotel!

The Ovolo is in a great location and very close to lots of the bars and restaurants in Lan Kwai Fong. The hotel staff were amazing, very friendly and super helpful. Nothing was too much for then and they had great advice on the area and things to do. The room was great, very modern, light, bright and airy. I would certainly make this my place to stay if I return to Hong Kong!

Due to flight delay, I arrived at the hotel at 2am. The front desk checked me into a handicapped room without informing me. I found out only when I reached my room and at 2am, I just wanted to shower and crash in bed, and thus decided not to change the room. I had to move the bench in the standing shower out before I could shower and that didn't make me happy. Nor did the noise coming from the discos downstairs.

The next thing was the breakfast which was operated by the cafe next to the hotel. You are given a set menu to order from. I booked the room which included 2 breakfasts. As I booked via hotels.com, the discrepancy between a room without breakfast and 2 breakfasts was around USD60. When I asked for another set of breakfast (I just wanted pancakes), they said I was only entitled 1 since there was just 1 of me, even though I had paid for 2 breakfasts. Once again, this got me rather angry and I decided to inform the front desk who told me there was a miscommunication.

Given that I was there for just a night (less than 12 hours in total), I guess my experience wasn't the most pleasant. Nevertheless, the bed was comfortable and they allowed me to do a late checkout at 1pm.

Great Hotel, Very Fun Vibe

Ovolo is great, particularly for Hong Kong where rooms are notoriously small. Ovolo was good sized, very nice rest room, but what make Ovolo special is the vibe. The hotel is not a typical stodgy hotel, but still has all the hallmarks of a very well runs hotel. It's my #1 go to in Hong Kong and I'd stay with them anywhere.

Good hotel, but inflexible for business travelers

Good hotel. Not flexible for business travelers. Too strict on non-refundable policy. Accidentally booked non-refundable. Was booked for 8 days, but work ended early, so I checked out after 4 days. Hotel would not refund remaining 4 days. Offered to pay the full rate, or pay 1 night penalty, but hotel would not work with me. Inflexibility is why I won't stay there again.

I went to Hong Kong by myself for a short weekend trip hoping to relieve some stress. I was upset when I found out it was going to rain the whole time, but my stay at the Ovolo Central Hotel made it all worth it. I easily walked there from the Airport Express Hong Kong Station in just 20min. The check-in was very fast and the staff was really friendly and helpful the whole time.
I stayed at the \"Super Shiny Room\" in the (top) 27th floor. The room has very stylish decoration, cozy lighting, a super comfortable bed and a great bathroom. After being outside in the rain and humid hot weather, taking a relaxing shower made my mood much better. The room temperature and air dehumidifier control were very effective and simple to adjust as well.
I easily used the wifi to connect my phone to their smart TV and enjoyed a bag of delicious snacks plus the minibar for free while watching my favorite shows on Netflix. Later that night, the reception desk recommended, ordered and delivered food from a nearby gourmet diner directly to my room in just 15min. One of the best burgers I've ever had.
Check-out was also very fast and simple. The staff even helped me early purchase my Airport Express ticket right there, which helped me avoid a huge line at the station later.
I will have to visit Hong Kong again to really explore the city when the weather is better, but I left extremely satisfied after such a relaxing and comfortable stay. I will definitely be staying there again.

A posh bed setting room in a good location

This hotel offers a bed sit room and almost nothing else. There are no real common areas and no services. Rooms don't have comfortable seating but the bed is good. Plenty of free goodies and stylish design. The best feature is the location, right in the middle of Hong Kong's bar, arty and foodie district.

Perfect location with free laundry

I stayed at Ovolo central serval times and I love it. The location of the hotel is just right above Wyndham street where all the lounges and bars are. Easy to get a taxi or walk to the MTR station. They have free laundry and free mini bar, refilled everyday, which is very impressive. Staff are nice and they recognised me when I come back.

The room is pretty small but good enough for two people with two big suitcases. They have espresso machine in the room which is nice.

Great Value on Hong Kong

This is a great hotel for travelers who want to be independent for a couple of days in HK. Pleasantly quirky with fast and reliable internet connections in reasonably-sized rooms with excellent lighting and great amenities. Most of the hotel staff were very helpful and eager to make my stay enjoyable and comfortable. On one occasion, when there seemed to be some reluctance to help, a politely worded second request got the job done.

Easy walk to Central District

I wa on Level 5 and the room was affected by street noise. It was s noisy room and the nearby venues remain open and pumping music until 2-3am.

Will definitely go back to Ovolo

Ovolo Central was wonderful! It has a great vibe, extremely friendly staff, beautiful rooms, ton of free extras like the loaded mini bar and snack bag upon arrival, a very good American-style diner for meals and milkshakes, and a nice gym. You may hear a bit of the LKF fun from the room, but nothing that's unbearable, and is worth the great location.
