Not sure how this is possible but I was given a room with zero windows. None of the pictures of any of the rooms showed this as possible when I booked.

I’m usually not picky therefore I will not be hard on this hotel. Overall, good experience, the only issue is the AC, it’s not sufficient enough, or the ventilation is a little bit off, but it keeps the moisture and moldy vibe in the room. Overall it was clean, good for 2-3 days.

I booked the premium queen’s room, yet I checked in to a room with broken AC/heater in winter, no blankets, and no towels. I woke up freezing in the middle of the night after 3am, and the room temperature was at 16 celcius. The AC was broken that I couldn’t raise temperature but to turn it off. There’s no phone in the room, so I had to call with my own cellphone at international rate to find out there’s no room service at this hotel at all. The guy asked the security to send me some towels and blanket (which the security guy couldn’t find any)…oh if you think you are getting more premium rooms, they are all located at the lower floors and you can absolutely hear everything happening on the street. I will not return to this hotel ever again.

Hotel is centrally located, within walking distances to MTR, many restaurant.
room is tiny but clean, furniture is modern. Hotel only provided two large towels. They should provide two smaller towels.
Front desk personal is either ignorant or unwilling to go extra step to help the customers.

Room was clean, but the cigarette smell was quite intense everyday. We got used to it. But it would put a lot of people off staying here.
Location was great for local foods,
Laundromat down the road is super cheap.
Metro within 5 minutes walk and busses all around.

Dash Living is in the heart of where the action is. You can walk to a multitude of restaurants, bars and shops. It's a 10 minute walk to the transit system, or you can walk a bit more and catch the ferries to Kowloon. The location is ideal.

We really liked the location of this hotel. We stayed for two nights and on the second night they took our towels and when we went down to the front desk they said they would bring them up and never did. The service was not the best. The room was nice overall but fairly worn.

Not so great

Just okay. Nothing inspiring. Room is very small. Bathroom and toilet is really small. More like a student’s hotel. I think it’s overpriced. It isn’t worth the amount I paid for it.
One thing I liked is that it’s in the city center and it was easy to walk to everywhere. I was able to take walks and for hours and I enjoyed that.

Although this is a relatively new refurbish for this chain and it was super convenient for our family visit we were very disappointed that firstly although a kettle and cups and fridge there was no tea or coffee or milk. The shower had no glass - just a curtain - and in such a small areea all the water soaked the toilet and surrounded floor. The bathroom sink and mirror is outside the bathroom area and no handtowel provided. The worst aspect was no service to the rooms. Just towel replacement. Sorry- but I am way past backpacker hostels and to come back to an unmade bed and wet bathroom is unacceptable. Other choices in Hong Kong at this price.

Very designerly, but shocking - no lighting to put on make up or really see your face. Not business friendly due to this, doesn't make me feel confident to go for a meeting given I can't see how I look. Rooms extremely tiny, there are better options in Central. Bathroom size OK. I defo won't stay here again.

A No-frills room in a good location

This is a no frills place - a room with en suite and minimal servicing. It is on Hollywood Road so convenient for getting about Hong Kong (10 minutes walk to Central), and one of the best roads to wander along!

I would recommend and revisit this hotel if I return to Hong Kong. It feels very safe and the location is good, close to the Western Market to access trams and metro. There is a 7 eleven across the street and plenty of bars and restaurants within a 10 min walk.

The whole facilities are old, the mattress is old so it’s not a flat sharp but a V shape and you’ll fall to the middle. The wall next to the toilet door is always dropping white powder while opening or closing the door. The carpet is dusty so it’s needed to be cleaned better.

The view of 01 room is great and the staff are nice.

I've been staying in Hollywood Travelodge for the last few months while my apartment gets renovated; I have another 2-3 weeks to go. I've stayed at this particular hotel many times over the years when in between apartments, and my company uses it for visiting colleagues (or used to, in the pre-COVID days...). It's a straightforward hotel that has everything you need from a hotel: soft, comfortable bed, pillows that work when you sleep on them, clean sheets, efficient and effective cleaners and staff. It's in a thoroughly convenient location, affordably priced (especially for the quality of the bed, it's considerably higher quality than most hotels in the same price range), and very accommodating. I've had to extend this particular stay two or three times (each by about two weeks), and the staff has been great with making me feel comfortable and making sure I can stay in the same room. I have no complaints and only praise to give.

The hotel room was small by American standards. The walls were thin, if you had noisy neighbors, you could hear them. There was a sewer smell coming up from the drains in the bathroom.

Still my stay there was very positive. The hotel wasn’t far from the Sheung Wan MTR Station. There were a number of good restaurants along Queen Street near the hotel. The hotel provided a local mobile phone with a data plan so I didn’t need to buy a SIM card for my phone. They provided bottled water to my room every day. My room had a refrigerator and a safe for valuables. The housekeeping was excellent. It was some of the best service I ever had in a hotel. Staff was friendly and courteous. I would definitely stay here again.

Condition of the hotel room is nowhere near what's shown in photos. While it was relatively clean, everything else is used and old, including the discoloured tiles in the bathroom and black mold around the shower. The curtain was stained, multiple marks on the wall. No hand or body cream provided. The AC was surprisingly loud, to the point it wakes me up in the middle of the night. You can also hear a lot of movement outside the room. Staff was relatively nice.

I won't be staying over here again, unfortunately.

Just completed a eight night stay here and could not have been more pleased. The room was very small but clean, comfortable and well appointed. The staff unfailingly friendly and eager to be of help. The hotel is modern and well maintained. The location could not be better a short walk to metro station, ferry terminals, and a galaxy of dining and shopping options. It happens to be directly adjacent to Hollywood Road Park which is said to be the very place where the British Royal Navy first landed in Hong Kong in 1841. Great place to stay and an excellent value

Travelodge at Hollywood Road

I love this hotel for the high level of service and courtesy provided by front desk n housekeeping. Credit goes to Ms Selina who even goes the extra mile to go and get a taxi for me during this period of disturbances in the neighborhood areas where protesters rallied. I will definitely want to stay at Travel Lodge again although it is not centrally located in the busy high end shopping area. However most places of attraction are within walking distance.

Great location for a family stay

All hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
We had several rooms as a big family group, the hotel ensured we were all on the same floor.
A request for a blanket and sheet from one of our group who found the duvet too warm, was fulfilled in a timely manner.
Beds were all comfortable. The rooms with the large windows provided wonderful views.
The bathrooms were small.
The breakfast snacks available at reception were handy, though long-life.

It is near to the Ferry Terminal from Macau which is quite convenient for us. It is near the MTR and many great foods in the area. I saw a Church too, but was unable to get inside. The staff were great! A free bread every morning. Housekeeping was very nice too.

Originally the Premier Room assigned to us was quite disappointed, smelly and the air-con was having some problems. As the temperature was getting higher and higher, we finally requested for the change of room.

Thanks to the help of polite and kind staff, we were reallocated a more cozy room on the same floor, with acceptable room temperature and great cleanliness!

Suggest catching taxi from the Hong Kong station if catching train from airport only cost about $10 AUD we got hopelessly lost at night time but some friendly locals actually walked us there in the end.

The Travel lodge has been my go to hotel when in Hong Kong. It was the first place I ever stayed over 9 years ago and still prefer to stay at this location. Sheung Wan is my favorite neighborhood within Hong Kong, plus that’s where all my friends live too. If you like a quieter place to stay, then the Sheung Wan Travel Lodge should suit you.

good location, clean rooms, good use of the space for a room. One negative is that you just cannot close the room door without banging it. You can also hear people in the room next door talking. Ours were nice. We just cranked up the volume of the TV a bit and then turned it down again. Quiet after that all the way. One can be more unlucky. For the rest just great. Even a free muffin for breakfast!
