The shops and the subways are nearby, staff were friendly, they can speak Cantonese and English, room is clean and shower has hot water. However, the size of the room is really mini just like the name of the hotel.

Tiny room with clear, big windows in the bathroom and toilet! At the top of a very steep hill. Room never cleaned. Was told to go to reception to ask for more toilet paper. Probably ok for students on a budget looking to rough it for an experience.

Great hotel that is very close to the Central MRT station (exit D is the closest to the hotel), just 2 to 3 minute walk. Note that the hotel is at the top of a hill and so there are about 50 pretty steep steps to climb when using the Metro. I'm sure there's a more accessible route but this was the quickest.

Rooms are a little tired and showing their age, but room was clean on arrival, and bed sheets were spotless. Bed was very hard, but comfortable, and pillows were quite soft. I would recommend taking your own towel with you as only a disposable towel is provided and this is barely fit for purpose.

There was a kettle and hair dryer provided, and in Hong Kong you can drink the tap water so a nice cuppa is easily available. Note that no tea or coffee is provided in the room.

Rooms are small, but I expected this when booking, but some may be surprised. For the price, this is a great hotel. Finally rooms are air-conditioned with temperature controls in each room.

The hotel is situated right in the heart of Central, where culture, history, foods and shops converge. The price was lower compared to other nearby hotels considering the location. However I have a few things to note: 1) the room was extremely small with the bed nearly occupation 85-90% of the room space. There were no shelve or closet or table to put your stuff. So basically we needed to take what we needed out of suitcases and placed them on top of them. (2) bathroom was small and was somewhat moldy and drainage was average. The sink was small like an iPad size. There were no cloth towels to provide, they however offered disposable paper towels everyday. Therefore we went out to buy two big towels for the whole trip. (3) there are no window views, they boarded up the two windows likely to save curtains, the only light we had was from the lamp. (4) the walls are thin so you can basically hear the conversations next door and people were talking like 3am in the morning, bring your ear plugs the best kind. (5) the stuff are average helpful there was no hotel etiquette or concierge service so just make sure your expectations. The other good things are that there was self-serving laundry service at the roof top, which had a great view outside. The lobby was cute and people can hang out there since rooms are small to hang. Overall you pay (low) for what you get. So be informed of the amenities before booking. Thank you mini Central.

Room was very small. Not fit for 2 people. There are no towels. When requested, front desk gave disposable towel (like large kitchen paper towel). Toilet is too small. Faucet sink is really really small. Smaller than a bond copy paper. Shower stall was flooding. When we asked for rugs or floor towel to dry the floor, front desk said they dont have any. We had to sweep the water with our feet to minimize flooding. Floor is dirty. TV is very small. TV has 3 stations. 2 chinese stations and 1 English stock market channel. Front receptionists barely speak English. The other clerk who speaks some English gives wrong information about tourist locations. They do not provide maps. Not helpful at all. Coffee we bought at the lobby was not hot and taste awful. We just threw it away. The bed was very uncomfotable. We can feel the spring coil when we lay down.
It was horrible experience. I will not stay here even if it's free.

By American standards it is a cultural shock. The bed took up the room with little space to move or keep suitcases. Still, the location was convenient for that part of trip. But there are several stairs to get into the building from there they have elevators. The laundry machines are on roof and require more stairs. Area around is hills and lots of stairs so be prepared and they provide disposable towels might want to bring your own as I did.

it was what you’d expect with a place cheap and small as this. the worst thing was the towels, i thought they’d at least provide normal towels but what they essentially give you is a large napkin to dry yourself. there’s also mold in the rooms and not even enough space to undo a check in bag. however, the location is great. definitely take an uber to get here though or you’ll risk climbing all the stairs with your luggage like i did lol

You get very, very little because you pay very little - especially for the most expensive city in the world which is Hong Kong. A large person (77 kg) will not fit into the shower. No chair, no room cleaning, etc. Great location, safe area, many nice restaurants and bars nearby. Staff is friendly. Quiet rooms good for sleeping.

Perfect location, just enough space to use as a launching point for day long explorations. Also very helpful that they store luggage at HKD $10 a piece (USD $1.25) all day! I always stay here for 23h55m layovers on the way to places for a good reason. Good A/C, helpful staff, good water pressure, location can't be beat.

The room is basic but clean.
- A multi-purpose shampoo and body wash dispenser is provided in the washroom.
- Disposable body and face towels are provided, but not a toothbrush or toothpaste, we brought our own.
- A wall-mounted TV, kettle, and hair dryer are provided.
- Room air-con was cold
- No breakfast was provided, but that was fine for us.
- What works for us was the location, walking distance to MTR (Central/Hong Kong Station), Tram Peak, near Victoria Peak, Lan Kwai Fong.

was ok the bathroom is really tight. it you are 180 CM and 114 Kg hard to get in and out. and the bed is small your feet hang off. Alos the Hotel is cheap they charge you 10 HKD to check a bag after paying to stay there a few nights it sleazy and I only recommend this place if you want to party in the area and not have to struggle to find a cab under 500 HKD at 2 am after a night out to go back to Kowloon. Also, what's the deal with paper towel's for towels, literally no old fashioned cotton towels.

The price is right for the short term or long-term solo stay be for work and or a solo travelers vacation, the price was perfect. It was in a great neighborhood with lots to do walking distance to the train station that I suggest you take a taxi if you have luggage, those rooms are small. So if you just are traveling light, it’s perfect.

The Mini hotel website for Central (this hotel) and the Causeway Bay advertises there is a safe in the room but in fact there is not in this Central one. The staff saying that the Causeway Bay one is operated independently from the Central one. Hence the Causeway Bay Mini has a safe in the room but the Central Mini doesn't.

It is quite cheap but unless your a solo traveller and dont have a big luggage for all your shopping this isnt the hotel for you im 5ft tall and I struggled it was so tight and the bed has yellow liquid at the bottom part of the bed and it was dusty and not clean. they also only give disposable towels and the towels are like toiler paper thin, so overall if you are really wanting to save money this hotel is still doable if not just go add an extra few bucks for a bigger one

This is a budget hotel - understood. There was however ann inaccuracy in the room description that I want to flag.

My room was described as having a laptop compatible safe. I’m travelling for business and I specifically wanted a safe. On arrival I found no safe and when I questioned the reception, they told me that there haven’t been safes in the rooms for years now. Please update the details on your site to reflect this.

Where do I start? Let's just say I was... taken aback by the experience.
First of all, it was not made clear in the listing on Expedia that there is NO HOUSEKEEPING in this hotel. Yes, nobody comes up to your room to pack it for 7 days. Housekeeping is only done every 7 days. If you want to request for an extra housekeeping session, it will cost 200HKD (I believe). This is the first time I've seen this, ever.
Secondly, no towels are provided. Only one paper towel is given (yes, one) and I had to request for another one for my partner. I gave up and bought a couple towels from a nearby grocery store.
The hotel is on the top of a steep hill and be prepared to carry your luggage all the way up 300 meters of a steep slope and staircases if you're coming from the nearby MTR station. Not the fault of the hotel of course.
On the positive side, Internet is strong and fast. Check-in and out were quick (although, I guess there isn't much to check in the room).
I would recommend this hotel if you come in with eyes wide open that there is no housekeeping and no towels provided. If you think that I'm nitpicking and this is a 'budget' hotel, then my answer is that I've gone to HK hotels that have cost this price (sometimes even less) and not had to deal with no housekeeping / no towels.
I suggest that Expedia make this amply clear on the listing page to prevent any misunderstandings. I would certainly NOT go to a hotel that has no housekeeping service, for instance!

Do NOT stay here. Worst hotel. I have travelled the world. I have stayed at the branch in Causeway Bay many times. I gave that a 5 rating. I give this a 1. In all my years travelling, I believe this may be my first 1 rating. The Causeway Bay branch is way better. Yes, it is mini and we know that. However, there were no windows in my room here. It was like a prison cell. Whoever designed the room lacked common sense. It was FILTHY. There was mould, grime and hairs in the room. The bathroom had a strange smell. Staff are beyond rude and unfriendly. Causeway Bay does daily housekeeping. Here it is only done every 5 days. You need to leave any litter outside the room. The hallways looked like a rubbish dump. WIFI worked but disconnected often, especially late at night. The hotel is a nightmare to reach if you have a big suitcase climbing stairs uphill. In all the hotels or lodges I have stayed in on my travels, I have NEVER had to pay for a hotel to keep your luggage after checking out. I had no choice as I had a late evening flight. The only positive is location. The only reason I didn't check out was because I had paid for it and didn't want to waste money. I WOULDN'T STAY HERE AGAIN, EVEN IF YOU PAID ME!

I wont comment on the size of the room n because I feel like people sign up for that. I would NOT recommend sharing a room. It’s hard enough for one person in a shoebox.

Cons: TOWELS! you don’t receive a towel just a single use napkin thing. Either BYO or drip dry like me. Walls are paper thin, you hear everything in the hall and other rooms. I had a few sleepless nights. Black mold in the showers too.

Overall, the location makes up for a lot for a night or two. But this hotel truly is the dump of dumps.

Worth a night as an experience… but smelled

The room size was as expected. Micro small. It’s an experience. Why not try it. Major issue was the smell of mold/mildew in the room. Believe me… if I get sick, I’ll immediately tell the doctors to test for legionnaires disease. They also do not have proper towels… it’s a single disposable - for your entire stay. That seems petty… have real towels. It’s not eco friendly to throw out stuff… no maid service makes sense… it’s so small…. What would they clean? For the condition, mold/mildew smell, no towels and amount of space… this place was over priced… for ten times the space it’s only 25% - 50% more money at nearby hotels. Plus… it has nearly (more?) 40 steep steps to traverse coming/going… and nearby sidewalks to the Metro have steps. Things to consider if you’re not packing light. And if you’re not using the Metro… you’re probably not staying here. Staff was friendly.

mold problem was a bit noticeable as the room smelled a little bit moldy than I would've liked and really didn't like the towels provided. It wasn't really a towel and made showering a little bit messy. Also, the bed is a little stiff and pillows could've been better. Other than this, the room was clean (aside from the mold, which can't really avoid especially with the humidity) and great value for the amount that I paid for. Won't specifically look to stay here again, but if I didn't have a choice, I would.

When I checked in, the pillowcases looked like someone wiped with them. They had brown stains on them. The sheets on the bed were even worse: There was enough human DNA on them to repopulate the world after a nuclear war. I had to sleep with a T-shirt over the sheets.

I like that it’s close to the train station, but be aware if you have a lot of bags or heavy bags there is a lot of steep incline, hills, and stairs to get to this hotel from the terminal. Also, the air conditioner in my room did not seem to be working correctly, and it felt very damp and humid.

커플은 말고 혼자 저렴하게 다닐분만 가세요. 홍콩 숙소는 다 가성비가 안좋던데 여기는 부산 캡슐호텔 좀더 작고 오래된 버전 느낌이에요. 방이 좁은데 샤워실 수증기가 환기 안돼서 매우 습해요.
공간이 좁아서 벽 사이에 꽉 들어찬 침대길이도 딱 180정도인것같아요. 키 더 크신 남자분은 몸 좀 쭈그리고 자야함.
요기까짐 그냥 홍콩에서 저렴한 숙소라 이런것 같구요.
좀 큰 단점은 안그래도 좁고 습한데 수건을 1회용 부직포같은거 큰거 한장 작은거 한장만 줘요. 더울때 홍콩가면 하루 두세번 샤워하실 분은 그 부직포 타월로 마르기 전에 또 쓰고 계속 써야돼요

Basic hotel that is becoming more like a hostel

I usually book this hotel for a couple nights every month when I am in town for work. Though basic I find the location perfect for what I need. However this last stay, the hotel has somehow managed to become even more basic! They have no removed all smart tv’s from the room so no more Netflix or YouTube available.
Apart from the requirement to throw your own trash out, administered 1 disposable towelette (despite how many nights you book) and no daily cleaning I did not think it was possible to get any cheaper but they have managed it.
So annoyed with managements decision.

On the edge of Lan Kwai Fong entertainment district, if partying and drinking is your thing, the area is one street behind the hotel.

It is very inexpensive for a hotel room in Central. That being said, you do get what you pay for. My room was fairly clean but there were a few little bugs around. My room was very small but no big deal. Towels were disposables. Cleaning doesn't happen for 5 days but you can throw your garbage out to the hallway and someone will pick it up.

It is a cheaper place to sleep. It does this very well. If you want a place to relax, this is not the place.

I do recommend this place as a place to crash for the night.

Resonably priced but the trade offs are room size is small , service is basic, no storage for clothing, no desk, suitable for short stay especially if you are out most part of the days.

There is no ramp or lift access to the lobby, be aware there is about 10 steps to climb with baggage and the front desk guys will not assist.
Hotel is still using Covid as an excuse to not give you a towel and instead issues you a paper tissue disposable one. It’s like a big paper towel and it utterly useless.
Luggage storage is $10 per day (even for a few hours)
Front desk staff I interacted with were very friendly.

The location is great, within walking distance to MTR and Tai Kwun. The room condition is poor. It has very thin wall. I could hear people walking, snoring and exercising at night. It was very cold at night (in January) without a warmer/heater.

Great location, on par conditions

Not too bad with that price tag. Great location. Somehow the conditions of the common areas of the hotel are far better than the rooms. Again with that price tag you get what you need.
