My stay was quite comfortable. The only issue I had with this place was at check-in. There was no physical person to check us in. They leave a QR code for you to scan but we were having issues with that. Someone did come eventually to help us out. But it was a bit frustrating to start the trip off.

Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing. The host failed to clearly disclose several important rules before our stay, including the presence of 24/7 surveillance, which made us feel uncomfortable. Additionally, on our second night, another guest was checked into the room next to ours, which was unexpected and not communicated in advance.

The cleanliness was also below expectations. We found bug spray left on the counter, and during our stay we encountered and killed several ants and other bugs. There was also no parking, when that was not mentioned. Overall, the property did not feel clean, private, or welcoming.

I would not stay here again and would encourage future guests to ask detailed questions about the accommodations and house rules before booking.

The hotel was okay over all. Our room felt damp and humid. The room was small but had everything you needed. The bathroom door is not a door but a barn door that didn't really close all the way. There are no windows out but to the bar downstairs. So keep curtains closed. The plus, it's walking distance to everything. Also no parking at hotel but the parking garage is right next to it. There is no staff at night but they were helpful by text.

I stayed at The Daydrift Hotel in Miami and had an amazing experience. The room felt more like a home than a regular hotel room. It had many useful amenities, separate rooms, and even a living area with couches, which makes it perfect for families or larger groups. You could honestly even host a small gathering there.

Everything was extremely clean — the room, the sheets, and the overall space. There was none of that unpleasant smell you sometimes get in classic hotel rooms. The hotel was also very quiet, which made the stay even more comfortable.

One of the best parts was the private pool and terrace area. The rooms are located by the terrace, and you can access the pool directly from the rooms. The pool felt completely private.

There is also a great restaurant right at the entrance, so if you are tired, you do not even need to go out. The beach is only about a five-minute walk away. There is parking right across the street, and it is much more affordable than valet parking. However, if you are mainly planning to enjoy the beach, I would say renting a car is not necessary at all.

I definitely recommend this hotel, especially for families and larger groups.

I had the worst experience. The property looked nothing like the pictures online. It was very outdated, dark, and old. The first room we received smelled like mildew, and we had to wait to be moved to another room. The second room didn’t smell, but there was a huge gap between the door and the floor.The paint was chipped throughout the room. We also only received one set of towels for our three-day stay. We would not recommend staying here.

I don’t usually leave reviews, but this stay was bad enough that I feel I need to.
I’ve stayed here before, but this visit confirmed I won’t be returning. The hallways and interior rooms smell heavily of moisture, and our first room was so bad it was hard to breathe—even with a dehumidifier running. Looking back, I should have paid closer attention to reviews because it seems like mold is a common issue here, which is honestly concerning.
We ended up switching rooms three times. The second room initially seemed better, but at 4am I discovered the shower had no showerhead—just a pipe spraying water. Then the TV didn’t work, and staff couldn’t fix it, so we had to pack up and move again. That same room was also right by the kitchen and facing construction, so it was noisy and constantly smelled like food.
After all the inconvenience and wasted time (while I was here for work and just trying to rest), I asked for a late checkout and was denied, despite seeing availability online.
At the end of the day, the price makes sense—but not in a good way. Between the smell, maintenance issues, noise, and multiple room changes, I’d strongly recommend staying elsewhere

My stay at Daydrift was overall okay. The biggest advantage is the location—it’s very convenient and close to the convention center, which made getting back and forth easy.

However, there were a few things that could definitely be improved. There was a noticeable mold or mildew smell in the room that didn’t go away during my stay. I ended up buying candles just to help mask it. The property may benefit from some updates, especially the carpeting or ventilation, as the smell was pretty distinct.

There also isn’t really room service available on-site, so that’s something to keep in mind if you prefer those amenities. It did get a little noisy at times, but it wasn’t disruptive throughout the night.

Overall, my stay was fine for convenience, but with some updates and attention to the odor issue, it could be a much better experience.

Hotel is in a perfect area and within walking distance to beach, restaurants, shopping, etc. Poolside was nice. Rooms without a window are kinda small and have no microwave. Showers not as hot as I wanted but it worked. I did love the robe and slippers. There’s also a free gift bag with towels for the beach. There was a host there to greet me when I arrived.

There’s no front desk staff. The room was very humid. I woke up with my clothes feeling moist. The AC did not work (to an extent.) i tried to change the thermostat and turn the fan option on and it never came on leading me to believe it’s centrally controlled. The wifi didn’t work. The Tv wouldn’t turn on past the Roku City background. I WOULD NOT stay here again.

Oh, for all our one night stay at the day drift was very underwhelming. The property was cluttered. We had very large boxes outside of our room. We had to walk up seven steps with three large suitcases to reach our room, which was difficult for both me and my husband to navigate. There was an attendant there for a couple of hours showing people where to go, but he seemed to have quite the attitude when any questions were asked of him. The room was decent. The bed was comfortable, but I don’t feel that we would choose to stay at the day drift again.

\"I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay, as the property significantly misrepresented its amenities and condition. Upon arrival, I found the hotel under major construction that was not disclosed at the time of booking. This construction completely obstructed my room's window, leaving me with no view. Furthermore, key amenities advertised on the website—including valet parking and an active pool area/evening bar—were unavailable. The lack of valet parking was particularly problematic as there was no designated space to even unload luggage.

The room was damp and mouldy, and as someone who suffers from asthma, it immediately affected my breathing. We had no choice but to check out within an hour of arriving and book another hotel. I have never had to do this in my life before, but this was a first.

The customer service experience was extremely disappointing. Once they had taken our money, there seemed to be no interest in addressing the issue or helping us in any way.

I provided photo evidence of the conditions, yet this was completely disregarded. The reality of the room was nothing like what was advertised in the photos. “Appalling” doesn’t even begin to describe it.

I would strongly advise others to avoid.

Not a bad place for your stay. First night however was terrible as the fire alarm went off around 2:30 am which was on for a good 15 to 20 minutes and staff did not provide any information or updates. The light should be on by the 3rd floor elevator at night for safety as it is a dark area. Did not see any staff at all except cleaners upon our check out. We did like the complimentary coffee, bags and slippers!! Overall a great place to stay especially a good location!!

I booked Drift Hotel in Miami Beach through Hotels.com because it was advertised as a four-star property. However, my experience did not meet the standards expected of a four-star hotel. During my stay, a fire alarm activated and guests had to evacuate the building without any guidance or assistance. There appeared to be no hotel staff present to respond to the situation or assist guests. Emergency exit pathways were obstructed with boxes, linens, and garbage, creating a potentially dangerous situation. In addition, the room was not properly cleaned, with visible dust on surfaces and a dirty shower upon arrival. I have stayed in many hotels in Miami in the past, and this experience was far below the standards expected .

For example, the free chair on the beach is only for the chair; I have to pay to rent the umbrella, and the location of the chair is very far from the accommodation. fewer towers. It’s was clean and comfortable. The noise however was pretty bad with people talking loudly , slamming doors and moving around. Everything could be heard from outside to upstairs. The toilet also seemed to be leaking and would leave puddles of water on the floor every time it was in use. Overall it was nice location well maintained and in a great area near the convention.

1st we did not get any info in the 24 hours before we arrived as to how to check in. Luckily you provide a phone # to call and that man was VERY helpful in getting us the info, He was not sure if that was their, Expedia or Hotel issue. On arrival we could not use the TV and we had hoped to watch the Olympics in eves. That 1st nite we could not figure out how to turn off one lite (next day I realized I had not tried enuf lite switches) but th ephone person had NO idea what I was talking about. They said they would send maintenance the next morning.Finally noon the next day my husband found a person in the lobby who was able to check our issues. We found the coffee maker was nonfunctional and the promise of a new one from housekeeping never came. Also the TV had some issue he had to figure out and by the
eve TV did work. Then we realized the TV only used live streaming services and so we could not watch NBC for Olympics! We were also dismayed we were in a room with a window but with no view or ability to freshen the room air. Finally the free opening to the Bass museum did not work as Daydrift no longer has an arrangement with them as that apparently expired in the last year. To say we were not happy is an understatement.

A hotel without staff is an interesting concept. Not without value, but it felt like something was missing.
Location is wonderful: walking distance to convention center, restaurants, other hotels, pharmacy/convenience stores.
The $30 resort fee however is unjustified. It includes a fabric tote bag and 2 bottles of water. I’d call that excessive. The roof-top pool is jacuzzi size (still not sure if it’s a pool, per se).
On-site restaurant is only open Thursday-Monday. Food is amazing and staff friendly, but the prices… ouch!
Rooms are tight but comfy. Bed is low (which I loved), mattress and pillows - very comfortable. Towels are soft, feel like new.
I was not impressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom - there was hair (short strands) all over.
Room doors are very loud when closing - you can hear everyone down the hallway getting in and out of their rooms.
Thermostat was not adjustable- it got a little cold in my room and I was not able to adjust the temperature.
Lobby is unattended if the restaurant is not open. Tried to have a video call from there during the day on a Tuesday and the music was too loud. There was one person there but did not know how to turn it lower.
Overall, it’s an ok place for a quick in-and-out place if that area matters to you. Otherwise, it could use some TLC.

I am not normally a review writer but I felt this one was warranted. The 2 star review is for the location alone. If you want to be close to dining, scenic views etc it’s a great spot. But the room was mildewed and the smell was overwhelming. There was a dehumidifier in the room and a strong air freshener that did not help. And on Saturday night the entryway turns into a club. So if you want to relax that’s a no in this spot. It’s a cute place but the smell was so bad and there was no one to address it with. It’s a negative for me all around

My stay at the Daydrift was ok. I'd says its less a hotel and more of an air b&b. There are no staff, no reception, no one to clean the rooms or anything. There is a whatsapp number that you can text should you need anything.

The pro's of this property are that the rooms are big and comfy. The location is only a 10 minute walk to the beach, and about 25 to Ocean Drive.

Negatives are no facilities, no staff on site and someone was banging down my door at 10.45 when check out is at 11am

My frustrations began well before arriving at The Daydrift trying to complete the digital check-in using my phone. Fortunately, it worked using another device and my information was eventually verified. Upon arrival, it turned out the room I tried to access was occupied. And we confirmed soon after this painful incident, I was given the wrong room number. With the help of Raymel, who was working at the property at the time, I was able to check into another room but not without another delay until I received a new code. At no point during a phone call that I initiated with guest services was an apology made or anything offered beyond an acknowledgment that the room number texted to me was wrong.
The location of the property is great and my stay was comfortable, however, my issues with poor communication, lack of professionalism, etc... makes it an easy decision not to stay here again.

It was unseasonably cold in Miami during our stay , heat is broken in our room cannot be repaired. Besides a few blanket, there’s nothing the property can offer us. I have to order portable heaters myself to make the evening survivable.

Our only complaint was the A/C was set too cold (64 deg!) and no matter what we did with the thermostat, the temperature stayed the same. the room 121 was not cleaned the entire time we were there. they have humidifiers in the room because the humidity is nearly 100%. and smells of damp and moldy. the toilet runs water 24hours per day. the humidity cause every metal in the room to oxidize like and old green penny. every time someone flushes above us you hear the water traveling through the pipes in the wall. i took photos of a live roach in the room. we were stopped by the same man daily to ask if we were staying in the hotel and to use the other door because the one we were using was for restaurant guest. the doors are literally next to one another maybe 5 feet tops and entered the same exact place/lobby. the door we entered through was the only one available the first 4 days we stayed because the sidewalks we being redone. the pool seems very small i can with confidence say it is the smallest pool i have seen for any commercial property.

Room was clean and well stocked - the room service was top notch, quick and efficient ! Great location as well ! Steps away from the beach.

We only stayed 1 night but would totally book this hotel again. It’s such cute, clean, little boutique hotel. It’s clearly going thru a remodel but it’s still beautiful. The only thing I can say negative was I wish my shower was hotter the first night (but it was nice and hot the next morning), and the street noise. But it’s a nice neighborhood so it wasn’t awful. The staff we did see was VERY nice. He showed us to the room and helped us navigate the check in due to their being no front desk. When I needed to get in touch with someone the text option was awesome and I always received a quick response. All in all this cutie is a 10/10. Would definitely recommend.
