We had our wedding at The Crane Resort in Barbados and it was truly an unforgettable experience. The property is absolutely stunning — from the breathtaking ocean views to the beautifully maintained grounds, everything felt like a dream setting for a wedding.

The restaurants were all fantastic, with delicious food and great service throughout our stay. Every meal felt special, and our guests kept commenting on how much they loved the dining options.

A very special thank you to Tamesha, our wedding coordinator, who went above and beyond to make sure everything ran perfectly. She was incredibly organized, responsive, and genuinely cared about making our day exactly what we wanted. Thanks to her, the entire wedding process was smooth and stress-free.

We couldn’t have asked for a more beautiful place to celebrate such an important moment in our lives. Thank you to everyone at The Crane Resort for helping create memories we’ll cherish forever. Highly recommend!

This is a very special property and hotel. We had a fantastic time and will definitely return again someday. Just be aware that the surf and winds on the Atlantic side of the island are more pronounced so if you want tranquil water you would want to stay on the west side of the island. But this is a wonderful place and we are used to waves and found the trade winds very refreshing.

The resort is exceptionally beautiful. The beach is incredible, the village style atmosphere of the buildings and the gardens are all superb. Food is excellent, service was good. It's expensive, but you get a great experience.
Barbados in general was really good as well. Safe, fun, beautiful, friendly.

Spacious, well appointed rooms, friendly, accommodating staff, 3 fantastic restaurants, fun entertainment each evening in the town square. Improvements to the exterior and windows going on and understandable but kind of sad as the original plantation shutters and luvered doors are a great feature to enjoy the amazing trade winds. What they lack in 5-star amenities, they make up for in historic charm and character. We enjoyed our stay enough to extend it. Highly recommend

We enjoyed the restaurants very much and didn't leave the resort all week because it was just perfect. The suite that I got which was upgraded from my initial one as there was a delay at check in was gorgeous. It really felt like home. Gorgeous kitchen, balcony, huge bathtub and bed!

The loss of the 1 star is because that building in particular has internet issues for two days which was a real shame however for the rest of my stay, it was good.

There was also an issue with the water a couple days before. Low pressure or none existant at times. Also a shame.

The staff though were fantastic, from the front desk to the house keeping and the ones in the f&b areas. Dedicated, welcoming and know their stuff.

I even received 100 credits for the check in delay which was very much appreciated. I would absolutely return because the resort is gorgeous. It's not very close to the central though so if you don't mind that, definitely book it.

The amenities were awesome truly felt like a little village and came to life throughout the day. I got handmade jewelry from a local vendor and enjoyed stays by the beach beds. There was a cute beach bar/grill where we got good drinks and headed to a beach bed. We also had a pool room so would start our days staying in. The cliffside restaurant was INCREDIBLE- highly recommend for breakfast

The rooms were very nice and clean, a lot more modern than the pictures. The hotel is far from everything on the island and taxi’s were not cheap. We had a party of six and spent about $140 daily round trip to go to Bridgetown. The restaurants on the resort were also overpriced and not the best in flavor. I wish there was more restaurants closer outside the resort.
Overall the staff was very accommodating and served with that Bajan flare.

The Crane is a lovely hotel with a long history. The hotel staff are friendly and very accommodating. The hotel has a few nice restaurants nearby but most attractions or city visits require a taxi ride. The concierge can make restaurant reservations and taxi requests for you but look online to book most excursions and if you can book transport with the tour companies. There are a number of good restaurants at the crane - zen and Poesia #3 are in my opinion the best while the village cafe has great coffee, desserts and ice cream. An on/site boutique grocery store allows for small meal prep in your room and is affordable. Lots of entertainers around providing music and laughs and there are also a number of vendors and stores for souvenirs. The pools are great and not crowded and if the seaweed is an issue at the beach (it was for us) the hotel provides easy transportation to another property in town for those wishing to do so. The weather is great down here and I’d head back in a heartbeat!

Service took a very long time: at restaurants, at the pool. Not great service in general. Asked for non-dairy milk with my coffee every morning and sometimes they’d say they don’t have it sometimes they said they did. One morning they said they didn’t have it but the café did and no one offered to go get some from the café. Would ask for things multiple times before receiving. Asked for a shuttle to go to Oistens, were told we were put on the list and then they told us we were never on the list. Just lots of little things that made it certainly not a stellar experience. Beautiful surroundings, loved our room, but very itchy bedding. Just not what I’d expect for the cost.

Regrettably, The Crane has fallen far from its previous reputation. Our week-long stay highlighted systemic issues:

1. Facility Decay: Sound insulation is inadequate, and maintenance is lacking (evidenced by an A/C leak that damaged personal belongings).
2. Ineffective Noise Management: A severe nighttime disturbance from other guests was not resolved by security, demonstrating a failure to uphold a basic peaceful environment.
3. Lack of Empathy and Empowerment: The most telling failure was the front desk's refusal of a modest 30-minute check-out extension after the hotel's inability to guarantee us a night's sleep. This rigid policy, applied after multiple failures on their part, shows a complete disregard for guest restitution.

Bedrooms within the suite were large, clean and comfortable. Balcony views were very lovely and the great weather added to the experience. Bathroom and kitchen was fully equipped with everything needed if we decided to stay in and cook. The property itself was great.

Improvement is needed with the guest services phone line. It’s almost impossible to get the front desk or other facility support team from the room. Once the initial operator picks up and transfer the call, there is either no response or dropped calls. Guest literally have to leave the room and visit front desk if needed which is very inconvenient. Also long wait times for follow up. Requested towels and blankets in the morning and did not get a delivery until late afternoon. Was told a privacy sign was on the door so they could not deliver but this was not the case at the time of request. It appears, there is possibly not enough staff to support the guest services due to the multiple properties and large influx of guest especially on the weekends.

Most staff were courteous (special thanks to Donna, Erica, Anthony, and Markita in Concierge who were extremely helpful and kind) however, there were instances where more customer service and effective communication training would benefit the staff around the property (I.e. security, spa, and some restaurants). The food options could also improve.

The property however is beautiful and has great potential!

The resort was amazing. My fiancé and I got the junior suite room with own pool, the room was beautiful. The resort is nearby a beach and other restaurants, the restaurant called the grove behind the beach had delicious burgers! unfortunately due to the resort being on the east side of Barbados it is well known for having rough waves and not recommended to swim. The beach is still lovely and the resort still has numerous pools though! Also make sure you have extras of stuff and all your necessities because the resort does not have any small convenience store so you have to travel 15-25 mins off resort to find what you need. The staff were friendly and helpful.

Good food at the restaurants. Checkin took over an hour, seems like frustrated untrained staff.

Room was clean but very bare bones not great decor. Elevator to our room wasn’t working so we had to lug our stroller up and down for a week. Pool was dirty and not convinced it had a filtration system had a dead frog in the kids pool.

Very small beach and access was far from the room with the elevator again not working to get down. So lots of stairs.

This was our first trip to Barbados. We booked this resort as it came highly recommended. It was beautiful, safe and clean. Staff was polite and helpful. Easy access to Crane Beach. Lots of food choices. A general store to purchase food that we cooked ourselves made it easy and cost effective with our young kids.
Our only issue was the cost to travel to different parts of the island. Taxi/Uber were quite expensive so we stayed at the resort most days.

The dining options on the property were equally impressive. Each restaurant offered delicious meals with exceptional service, making it easy to enjoy a great breakfast, lunch, or dinner without ever leaving the resort. Whether we wanted something casual or a more refined dining experience, The Crane delivered every time.

And of course—the views. Waking up to those breathtaking ocean views every morning was truly something special. The combination of the sparkling blue water, gentle breeze, and peaceful ambiance made our stay feel like a dream.

The Crane Resort has everything needed for a relaxed stay in one location.
Our Junior Suite with partial ocean views was smaller than expected. The bedroom and wardrobe space was small. There was no space to store luggage, except in the living/dining area, which then reduced the available space there.
The kitchen area was well stocked with utensils but had limited cupboard/drawer space and nowhere to store groceries except on the worktop.
The advertised room details were slightly ambiguous as we were expecting a suite with a pool and hot tub! Apparently, the booking was for a suite only.
Overall, we adapted and made the most of it.

The rooms were clean, very large, and accommodating, the staff were very friendly and went above and beyond for us, during a minor hiccup. Special thanks to Raven and Anthony, the young lady at bar 1887 who gave my partner her lunch because we missed dinner, didn’t get her name, but thank you💙💛. We would definitely be back to this lovely resort. If you’re looking for a resort for entertainment and good food, the crane is not it. If you’re looking for relaxation on a beautiful resort and beach, this is the place. The beach is way nicer than the ones off resort. The private pool could’ve been more private with an awning or something. We cooked in our suite and rented a car to venture offsite.

The upgraded room with the pool in the back, was breathtaking, but there were many huge cockroaches! Had to keep calling the front desk to come and get them!! Bellboy, Anthony was extremely helpful. The women in the restaurant where breakfast is served, that were in charge of making the omelets, horrible! Their attitude sucked! Besides those minuet things, I’d give the resort 7 stars out of 10!

The Crane is a 10!

The Crane exceeded our expectations in every way. The facilities are so well considered that there is nothing I would change or ask for. The vistas are breathtaking and have now made The Crane Barbados on our annual list of vacation stops. Next year we are bringing the whole extended family. You can choose to be with other guests at one of the many pools or just spend time with your friends and family in your private pool. We were wowed!

we did not receive any VIP access. I didn't realize this was something we had to request!! I believe we should have received a daily food credit which was not offered! we ate at the restaurants / ice cream shop daily and received no credit or discount. We were changed for a meal on 9/18/25 when we didn't even check in until 9/21, still waiting for that credit.

I had my wedding at the Crane, my coordinator Tamisha was amazing and very helpful.
There is a lot of walk base on where your room is locates.
Some area were infected with rochs, my nieces were placed ina room above the garbage area which caused they room to be infected. The situation was not handle very well with the staff nor management team.

Beautiful property, very much giving luxury. However the dining options were terrible. Had to go out, at least 35mins to a decent restaurant. Their main restaurant was closed. Also its a waste of money to get the plunge pool because its freezing-no temperature control & its shaded!! Also the hot water isn't hot nor is the cold temperature of the fridge cold. I honestly expected more for what I paid & they didn't offer any resolution or partial refund for the non use of the plunge pool

Loved the Crane - will be back, The room was so well thought out - comfortable, spacious, lots of storage, The kitchen had the basics yet we were still able to create some great gourmet meals, which helped with our food expenses. The restaurants we went to were also excellent. My only complaint was there was no hot water in the shower. The plumber did a repair but still the water was just barely warm for a shower. Other people in our party had really hot water - so it was just our room. Will still return!

The resort was beautiful. But there was lots of mosquitoes in the room. we had to have a net over our bed. Not enough shopping or much to do. it's kinda boring to stay at the resort for long time. The crickets are very noisy and loud at sunset until 5 or even 6am.
Not recommend for jewish people, because they're nothing to eat for us. They're plenty for non jewish. Even when u go to the shops nothing for jewish people to eat.
The beach at the resort is not clean due to the due to the seaweed. The hotel has a bus shuttle that takes people to and from another beach about 35 minutes. I liked the beach, but its a waste of time to be at the bea h from 10am till 3 and the day is gone just for the beach
I didn't like the idia of non transport from ant to the airport. It's costus 23 each way.

The crane is a beautiful property. The dining options were fairly good little pricey but then again it’s a resort. Great location. Staff were amazing. Would definitely recommend and will return if we get a chance.

The two bedroom suite was very nice. The shower head needs to be cleaned.
The water could have been hotter.
There could have been a courtesy pen and paper pad. The Beach shuttle should have two time slots for. Guess who do not wish to spend the whole day at the beach

The property grounds are beautiful. We had a spacious two bedroom unit with a nice view from the balcony. The beach however was unusable our entire stay due to an influx of sargassam. The resort does offer a shuttle to a beach about a half hour away which is beautiful. During our stay for two days the pools were closed due to servicing which was disappointing. Front desk staff is friendly and helpful. Food was inconsistent and we ate at
many of the restaurants offered. The managers cocktail party on Monday was very nice and we appreciate it. We had no TV service for 5 days which they did fix and give us a credit on our bill for. This resort could be spectacular but there are many kinks to work out and there is a ton of construction going on all over the properties. The onsite grocery is a nice feature and the prices were as reasonable as other groceries we visited on the island. If planning to stay here I would suggest renting a car so you can explore other beaches because it sounds like this beach has many weeks it is not usuable due to the mounds and mounds of seaweed. I don’t know what the issue with the pools was, but with the beach not usable this is a big drawback for us. We did enjoy the stay overall and if you’re lucky enough to be able to use the beach here I would recommend it.

Well-kept grounds and buildings considering the age of the property. It was convenient to have so many restaurants and shopping options available without having to leave the resort. I also enjoyed the pool options and the view was spectacular.

Overall, The Crane is a beautiful property. We stayed in a one bedroom suite, which was clean and spacious. The staff was nice. However, the service needs improvement. We ordered room service, only to receive something different, and to be told the item we ordered was no longer on the menu. Also, we ordered breakfast, and was told 45mins. However, we waited over 2hrs, and never received it.

This resort was beautiful, the nature, the staffs were so nice and welcoming. Our contemporary 2 bedroom suites was a dream. The view was amazing. Although the beach had seaweed, The Crane offered a shuttle bus to Carlisle Bay every day roundtrip which was breathtaking.
You were able to visit Bridgetown as well!
My family will definitely return.
