Staff is very friendly. My room smelled like cigarette smoke when I arrived, so the staff put in an ozone machine for a bit that helped. Unfortunately, there were cockroaches in my room. I let the staff know so they could fix it for the next guest. Not sure if I’ll stay here again, cockroaches are a dealbreaker for me.

Asked to change rooms staff said yes but the. Last minute said there was availability
Gave me a bunch of towels for the floor
Came back to room after being gone to no bedding on our bed
Mattress and pillows has weird stuff on them
Had to ask for bedding and make my own bed
Was told house keeping had cleaned the room which was untrue
Took the loss and left early booked somewhere else
Drug deals going on outside off door and door was not closed all the way with dead bolt on
This place was just nasty will never go again

Mid century modernesque Motel 6 (funky enclosed shower!) in Old Palm Springs just a few blocks west of downtown eateries shops and museum. Beautiful grounds and very big pool. Good sized room with fridge and microwave. Ok water pressure.

Bed was too soft for me.

I'll start this off by saying that it is a Motel 6, so I wasn't expecting much. The worker in the front was very kind and welcoming. They are pet-friendly, which I love! The floors were extremely dirty, and the bathroom stinks. The room wasn't clean, but it wasn't extremely dirty too. I couldn't walk around without a shoe or my socks because they would get completely black, and there were crumbs on the floor.

Check-in and check-out were easy.

Room 135 was facing the pool so it was a nice location. However walls are thin, and lots of banging at night, and some barking dogs. Mostly quiet though. Beds were decent. The deadbolt to the room was loose, just needs to be screwed in tighter. Amenities were lacking. It had a refrigerator which was nice. One of the benches outside of the pool area was broken outside. Vending machine lacked goods. For a Motel 6 in Palm Springs though, not too bad.

Pretty much average across the board. You get what you pay for and I never expect much staying at a Motel 6, but ripped bed-sheets upon check-in? C’mon! I guess that’s better than the body-fluid stained sheets at the last Motel 6 I stayed in outside of L.A.

Also lots of activity around the property that made it seem sketchy bordering on potentially unsafe. People who looked like they were squatting, probably on m3th-benders, etc.

When I checked in, staff was watching a guy haul a bunch of stuff up the stairs in a blanket. What was in it is anybody’s guess, but one staff member turned to the other and said, “Watch the security cameras”, while the other said, “I was planning on it. Sadly I don’t think they’ll be on camera.” Great! Tells me some of their surveillance cameras don’t work, and just all around not a good first impression to make.

All in all, I deeply regret staying at cheap motels every time I do it. Only time I do it is for a single night reservation when I’m just passing through town and need a place to crash before I hit the road again, but damn, some of these properties still surprise me at how rundown and sketchy they are.

Manager is very good. Staff was great. The pool area is beautiful. Big pool and the Palm trees surrounding it are very nice. Parking lot very well lite up at night. This is a Motel 6. Don’t compare it to a big expensive 5 star hotel. I stayed in March 2025 and in March 2026 for two days each time. I will stay there again. It met my expectations as a Motel 6.

It’s not the Ritz, but for the price, location, staff and swimming pool, it’s great. Rooms are very clean, front desk, house keeping and maintenance staff are helpful and professional. The pool is as nice as a those at higher end hotels in the area, it’s big and there is lots of seating. The location is great. Just a few minutes to downtown Palm Springs, Easy to park. There are washers and dryers. My 2 minor complaints are: there are very few outlets to charge devices, I had to use the restroom outlet for my phone and bedside outlet for my computer. The second is some rooms lack microwaves and refrigerators. Some rooms have both. I’m not sure why that is. There is a microwave in the laundry room. But not the most convenient when you just want to heat up leftovers, or water for tea.

Be wary when booking here. The pictures are deceiving. Structrually, it’s the same. However the building is run down, dirty and in an overall poor condition. My room had a broken door latch so we could not shut the bathroom door. I felt so uncomfortable and the entire room smelled like cigarettes, mind you it’s a non smoking room. Staff was short and not welcoming.

I booked a queen size bed for my husband and I. We visit Palm Springs every weekend and try not to spend too much money. The room we were given (148) was a double bed. I went to the office to explain and he basically said too bad, that's a queen. He upgraded us after my husband went to speak with them to a room with 2 double beds. Surprise - these beds were the same size as the bed in the original room. Be careful booking at this property.

This Motel 6 was good for the price. Our room had a mountain view, but we kept the shades closed because there were some suspicious people around. The room itself has basically no power outlets, and the furniture is falling apart. We found lots of hair in the sheets, which was not pleasant. The staff were amazing, super helpful. Keycards got demagnetized easily, so they helped me with that.

This place is affordable and is the price you pay.

The manager, Juan, deserves a HUGE raise. He turned this property from a bland Motel 6, into a true Palm Springs resort. We’ve stayed here many times, because we travel with our cat, and it’s a different property under his leadership. This has become a totally different place because of Juan.

Starting with the lovely Mrs. Kim, who greeted me at the hotel with a smile and, considering my request for a quiet room, met my expectations exactly. The ever-smiling Caleb and the cheerful Amber were always ready to help and ensured coffee was always available. Finally, the manager, Juan, was the right person for the job. This man seems to never sleep because he's always available and always on hand. There's probably nothing he can't handle. Bravo, it's a shame you can't find such a team everywhere.

As for the hotel, it was a very pleasant surprise. The room was clean with a refrigerator and a very comfortable bed. The shower had hot water without any problems. Room cleaning after the first three days was easy, even if you booked it in the morning, and it was spotlessly clean. Towels were available without any restrictions, just ask. And the pool was great and clean, cleaned regularly. The hotel is in a great location, and parking is free, so there's no problem finding a spot. WiFi good for streaming never had any problems available in room and round the pool The area is quiet and safe. See you next time.

Nice part of town, pool was clean, not crowded, although the male adult that appeared to be struggling to “stay awake” (according to a staffer) did not appear to be a hotel guest. The beds were fine, the trim was falling off of one piece of furniture, interesting corner shower was a bit cramped, plenty of pressure but not quite clean. It was what I expected from a Motel 6

Room wasn’t bad, but the bed definitely needs replacing. Area very sketchy. Was woke up up at 2:30am with people running by our door and then someone pounding on our door wanting in. Called the front desk to tell them there were issues. When we checked out we asked about it and the previous desk clerk didn’t even mention there were issues. The grounds were a homeless area.
