We made reservations at Ace because they advertise that they have an all adult pool area on the weekends, Fri-Sunday. In fact, it is stated in the pool area. The jacuzzi was over run with kids and the pool at 9pm
Sunday evening. We had spent most of our day hiking, so we were looking forward to adult libation, music and no children. Very disappointing. We had no hot water in our room Monday morning, so cold showers for all and my daughter cut her foot on broken glass on our patio. To say our stay was disappointing is an understatement. I have stayed in much nicer resorts for the same price. Don’t waste your money. The one plus, beds were extremely comfortable, the reason why I didn’t give a poor rating in all areas.

Why are there kids in the adult pool, there is a kid pool on the premises. Also, toddlers staying in the room above us were running around every morning at 5am. Hot water in the shower only after it was running for over 20min. Food and drinks were on point and staff was friendly.

We booked this hotel because it advertised a family friendly atmosphere on Expedia. Upon getting here, never have we had a less welcoming experience where we were told to leave the pool because kids weren't welcome at this time. We booked and paid the same as everyone else and on the Expedia site it says nothing about \"specific times\" for kids. We had to go check on the actual hotel site and click through several tabs before getting to the tiny fine print on the pool rules and even then it wasn’t fully clear.

We will never book again. We paid so much money only to be told we could not relax as we wanted to. If this is an adult hotel just say so...don't hide it. The family pool offered was absolutely not a resort pool and felt ostracized. It had no music, no bar and no restaurant (looked like a motel 6 pool). All around not ok for paying almost $1000 for 2 nights. The hotel needs to be clear on the front page of its advertising if it’s for families or for adults.

The scenery is gorgeous, the hotel is very chic and cool. The location is not in the main downtown area; it's not walkable. The room was small-ish, but very cute. It was clean and the shower products were great. The mini bar was outrageous and there was no complimentary coffee or water. The pools were both lovely, but I wasn't expecting the loud music or $25 piña coladas. The hotel restaurant was prohibitively expensive; the blueberry muffins were $12 and drip coffee was $7 for a small cup. Again, no complimentary coffee in the lobby or anything. There are Ace-branded items, like apparel, for sale near the front desk, but the sweatshirts were $155. I don't know, maybe that's reasonable to some people... Some of the staff was great, but most of the employees that we encountered were generally not very helpful. I asked about a tourist attraction (a well-known one), and the person at the front desk told me that she hadn't been there and didn't know anything about it. I expect the concierge at a four-star hotel to be able to make recommendations on local attractions. As far as the actual condition of the hotel, the toilet in our room moved every time I sat on it and there are light fixtures hanging out of the ceiling outside of the main entrance. We didn't have any maid service because we didn't ask for it, I guess? (We stayed multiple nights.) Overall, it was a nice trip, but I expected excellence from the Ace and it was kind of average with a realllllllllly high price tag.

Genuinely despised every interaction I had with the staff. They are aggressively rude. Multiple eye rolls, zero proactivity, no smiling. Just picture you're in their house as an overstayed guest, that's what it feels like.

Not the place to come to if you have kids.

We were at the main pool on Saturday for awhile. We were told by plenty of servers that they are happy to get our group (with 4 extremely well behaved kids) anything and just to let them know. But then all of the sudden, a couple of hours in, we were told that they just made a rule, effective now that anyone under the age of 21 cannot be at the pool. We had to go to a different pool. The other pool had no servers, no sun covers on grab rails, a minimal amount of chairs and we’re told that if we wanted to order food we’d have to pay room service charges. The other pool didn’t have these charges. This is quite literally discrimination. On top of it all, we got charged a 45 USD resort fee.

We spoke with a family who had been coming to the resort for years and said this is the first time they experienced this. Their kids grew up in the big pool. I am disgusted by ace and will not be recommending.

The floor in the rooms are rustic but look and feel dirty. The rooms are super small. No coffee pots in rooms. The room doors are extremely heavy and slam loudly whenever someone near you leaves. Ice is not readily for every building. We had to walk FAR to get it. Room decor is boho but not nice enough to warrant the price of your stay. There is no way to let light in the room without exposing the inside to the outside.
The pool area is nice. Shower area cute with penny tile. I would rather stay at a nicer hotel for the money. I know it’s a trendy chain for some reason. The outside of the buildings look old which I know is done on purpose. Not my style

Room was clean, staff was nice, but just none of the usual amenities despite the resort fee. Internet was very spotty. No usb plugs in the room. No coffee or tea for guests, even in the lobby in the morning. Everything is insanely expensive, like beyond typical hotel prices. $12 for a muffin at their coffee counter. It felt fun a decade ago, but today the chainlink fences and army-issue themed tissue boxes have prison vibes.

Unfortunately, this was a very disappointing stay at Ace Hotel. The property was extremely noisy, making it very difficult to rest or sleep. Noise carried late into the night and early morning, and soundproofing was clearly lacking.

If you’re looking for a quiet, relaxing place to stay, this is not it. I would not return and would not recommend this hotel to anyone who values peace and a good night’s sleep.

This place is fine for a 3 star place but didn’t at all feel like a 4 star resort. The room was more like a nice glamping room than a luxury resort room. The walls are covered in tarp. The floors are cold tile and have two very small thin mats. Our room had a 1970s small table and 2 1970s style chairs. The bed was comfortable enough. Clearly the look was meant to be mid-century modern but it felt more mid-century modern inspired but furnished with a low budget to make a non-luxe version. Some of the parking areas are also a bit weird - curbs in weird places; uneven pavement and weird inconsistencies in the walkways near some of the parking. Pool was fine. Overall - I’d given it a decent grade for a 3 star place but it was listed as a 4 star place which it doesn’t come close to meeting in my opinion.

We left an order for coffee and fruit written on the provided paper bag, on our door handle. we heard it get picked up at around 2:00 AM but we never received our order later in the morning. I called the front desk 30 minutes after the delivery time to say we were heading out for the day, so please don’t deliver it if the kitchen was running late or something. we never heard back either way.

The room wasn’t ready until 6:30 pm, it smelled like the fabrics and rugs had never been cleaned and generally had a very strong smell to the room. They were kind enough to change rooms for us but put us in a new room where the AC said it was working but in fact was heat. We woke up to 81 degrees at night with no relief. When requesting assistance to fix it, they sent the engineer to do so. We returned to our room with the same problem, so called again to have it fixed. This time I spoke with the engineer and he said the front desk asked him to turn the AC off entirely. Luckily this time he turned the AC on through a locked panel and from there it worked. Why would the hotel not allow its guests to manage temps themselves with the thermostat? Makes no sense and we were disappointed with the quality of this hotel, which is really a motel. Zero compensation was offered other than a $65 food credit from the late check-in. I will never stay here again. The beds were comfortable but absolutely not worth the $300+ a night we paid. I would’ve expected a discount or apology or credit of some sort for this terrible experience.

This was 3rd stay with them and I always had pleasant stay previously.
This time was not good without TV, wifi connection and no phone call connection to in side restaurant, at all.
They did not notice us prior to our arrival nor we checked in about the issue, which the hotel have known.
The lock for patio was broken and we are not very satisfied with the hotel at all. This is very unfortunate and we do not know if we are going to come back again….

The hotel feels like it’s seen better days. Everything just seems dirtier than pictures. Despite requesting a room cleaning the floors remained dirty. Rugs and canvas things on the walls look like they haven’t been washed in ages. To top it off we found two cockroaches in our room. We left the hotel early after that.

I love this hotel- we have stayed here a couple of times and going back- I was afraid the Ace was dead or over but it's not at all. So sad they lost the management contracts in Chicago and London and other Aces we used to visit but I am excited for anything new they do because this hotel is still awesome and on point.

The staff deserves 100 percent of this review. Though the rooms were good, and the resort itself looked fantastic, it was the front desk staff that really set this place for a high rating. Thank you Ruby for your help.

The rooms were good, though the canvas tarps for curtains were strange, it still was a nice sleep. Regular rooms are quite small, but the suite was a great size. Easy to navigate and park. Nice decent restaurant on site. Alcoholic Drinks are quite expensive, but tasty. We enjoyed our stay.

The customer service is excellent. Pool and DJ and Bar were great. Parking got full on weekends, but ok. Convenient location to everything. Cleanliness of room was not good and smell of urine from previous dogs was bad, repairs were needed in room as well (no lock on balcony door).

Be warned! I really didn’t like the resort fees not included in the total price and billed when checking out! Another example of sneaky fees were a corkage fee for ordering a bottle of wine from THEIR MENU. On top of all this was 20% service charge at the pool already added and not clearly called out. Leaves a poor taste in my mouth.

This is a fun place for someone who wants to enjoy the music and pool parties — very social atmosphere. Great for fun group getaways! I’d be happy to return when I’m not just looking for a bed, but I was there because I had a flight canceled and it was best price and closest to the airport. :)

Restaurant was fine but $$$. I paid $50 for wings that were exactly like the ones I buy frozen to cook at home and a salad.

If you’re looking for luxury and quiet, this is not the place on the weekend. My bed was pretty firm, kind of like a futon, but soft pillows and good linens. I slept fine except that it seemed many guests were at the pool until late (the party goes until 2am) and I got to hear entire loud convos as they made their way back to their rooms. If you can’t with hearing people walking above you be sure to get a 2nd floor room.

Martini at the front desk was the best thing about the Ace Hotel! He was an anngel! Unfortunately the rooms were musty and damp, and the wall coverings were dusty with the rug in between the bed looking like it had never been vacuumed. We had high hopes for the Ace Hotel, and with some effort, it could be a comfy spot.

I love the Ace because of its pool being open till 2am. But this trip was great around the pool, minus the hot tub had a black film floating in it and was cloudy. So needless to say we did not go in the hot tub. Our room looked normal until morning when we woke up I felt something on my arm and it was a flea! I know they let dogs at the property but I would have expected better cleaning so that when people sleep there are no fleas crawling all over them. I took photos I’ll post on google soon. Truly sad to see such a great spot with so many positive things go to ruin. Last year they were tricking guests into staying at full price when their entire pool area was under construction and now this year - fleas in our bed! Super sad at this. Hopefully some new hotel group buys them out and makes it the way it used to be.

This place is so amazing, we could have spent our whole vacation there if we wanted!
They have a pool, hot tub, cafe, diner, spa and massage therapy, salon, gift shop, multiple bars, activities like yoga and more, and last but not least - gorgeous views of mountains, palm trees, and desert vistas everywhere you look.
Oh, and don’t forget the stargazing 😉
