GREATEST STRENGTH: What stood out most was the consistently professional, helpful, and genuinely awesome team at Royal Sun. Raquel welcomed us with warmth the moment we arrived. Brooklyn created a true “ahhh, that’s exactly what I wanted” moment with a drink experience that felt curated and personal; she’s a standout and could be positioned as a local mixology differentiator. Christian’s presence, hustle, and attentiveness made every guest feel seen. The High Moon team was always welcoming and fun. And although I didn’t meet Joyce, Ryzle, or Diana in person, their daily housekeeping texts conveyed genuine care. These are the employees companies work hard to keep, people whose warmth and professionalism create the kind of memorable moments that encourage guests to stay longer, spend more, and recommend you. DISAPPOINTMENT: I initially perceived the hotel as a locally curated boutique experience, which added to the magic. But small factors, like music and difficulty reaching a local front desk staff member, revealed the chain structure. For example, when I asked to change the generic lobby music by the pool, the team explained that music is managed centrally. Their professionalism was impressive, but the lack of flexibility/enablement of local staff reminded me I am at a chain. RECOMMENDATION: Seek input from staff members closest to guests. They understand what relaxes people, what resonates, and what inspires recommendations.

Staff was courteous, room was clean. Paying the $40 amenity fee per room upon arrival was unexpected. The water pressure in the shower was a trickle, barely any water pressure at all (hard to get shampoo out). Toilet ran all night long. The hotel ran out of self parking spots so we had to park across the street in a dirt lot which wasn’t ideal. The restaurant was great!

Room was clean and staff was friendly until we had a complaint and then they wouldn’t help us. We could hear a large dog barking all night, someone smoked weed and it fumigated our room so bad we had to stay awake at 3am with the door open for an hour just to air it out and we had little kids with us. I’m so disappointed they did nothing to make our experience better. Told us we have no proof of the smoke. It was the worst night. Walls must be very thin. Can hear everything so if you want a good nights rest this is not the place to go.

Love this hotel, they did an amazing job updating everything. Our room was so comfortable and appreciated the Le Labo products. We had breakfast in the restaurant on site. Super cute and great service. My only let down is we ordered food at the pool the day before. It wasn’t that busy and I had to ask where the food was 20 minutes later. Our original person we ordered from left, new person was unaware we ordered. She had to go find our food which was luke warm now and you can tell the salad sat there for a while. $60 and I even tipped. Disappointed. Overall a nice stay.

I loved the room!Having the teapot was amazing and I loved having a yoga mat in the room. I fell in love with the shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, and lotion.I felt like I was at a spa retreat. The staff was super nice and helpful and it was a calm vibe with excitement as well. The music was really nice and the pool was beautiful

A lot of kids. Pool is only half usable because it’s 8 ft deep on one end. Why?? DJ and pool bar but not adult vibe it’s odd. Seems catered to parents who want to party while their kids swim? Expensive for what the rooms are and the facilities are. Nothing special really you can get the same thing for half the price elsewhere in Palm Springs. $25/hr for late checkout and you have to get a new key from the lobby. Pool is only in the sun the second half of the day. Odd pool seating layout. Beds are comfortable.

Clean room with cute design, and the whole design of the hotel was great. The pool vibe is extremely relaxed - no background music at all and barely any talking. They don't have a jacuzzi because the pool is \"heated\" but it was around 68 degrees during our stay (october, in the high 80s outside) so we couldn't actually use the pool because it was so cold. No one was in it. The Saturday dj was wonderful and elevated the atmosphere a lot (still very relaxing).

This place was a surprising gem. Rooms are well appointed and clean, staff is extremely responsive via text. Great to have an on-site poolside bar. Pool and garden area is great for grabbing a glass of wine on a cabana or popping open the laptop to catch up on work. The Le Labo bath products were a great touch. Definitely will stay again.

The staff and property were delightful however the cleanliness of the room was an issue. Our room has a distinct smell and marks on our sheets which were also very wrinkled.
Our friend’s room has a shower stall full of hairs on wall, floor and wrapped around drain.
Ourselves and our friends all agreed if the hotel had better cleaning staff it would have been a 5 out of 5.

We were assigned our room at 5pm, a whole hour after check in. Idk what the reason for that was but maybe it had to do something with the fact that we were traveling with our dogs? Which is still odd because this hotel is pet friendly, so it shouldn’t be an issue on their end??
Other than that inconvenience, it was a delightful experience. Wished their restaurant was opened and their drinks at the bar weren’t over priced, but I’d consider staying here again for it felt clean and safe.

Very unique experience. Formerly a hotel converted but at some point I did not feel too safe within the property. Staff was incredibly accomodating and lovely.

The place was insanely over priced for what you get. We paid 600$ for ONE night and expected an exceptional pool with free access to the cabanas. But the pool experience was mediocre. The food was ok but definitely not worth the money. Could have stayed at a higher end hotel for that price.

I liked that everything on the property looked fairly new, everything was clean. I didnt like our experience with the male pool bartender. He was rude and unfriendly. He didnt let my pregnant friend and i have our hydroflask with water out with us. Meanwhile there were other guests with their own water bottles outside. We asked other onsite staff if we were allowed to have our own water bottles out by the pool and they all said yes. So im not sure why this one specific bartender told us otherwise. Its 90 degrees outside and he's saying we cant have our own water bottles? Thats ridiculous. This one experience makes me not want to come back.

I was in Palm Springs for work and had the best stay at Royal Sun. From the moment I walked in I felt at home! I was greeted with the warmest welcome from the hotel manager, William, and continued to be amazed by the kind staff and wonderful service throughout my stay. The restaurant is great and the server (Robert), chef (Conrad) and bartender (Andrew) are all lovely. I will certainly be back!

The rooms have been remodeled but the vanity lighting was terrible for getting ready for a night out in Palm Springs. The shower water pressure was terrible. They didn’t have a phone in the room to be able to call the front desk. It was really late so I wasn’t going to walk to the front desk to tell them. It’s definitely a nice and clean place. When you first walk in there is no reception area. The staff sit around the couch and check you in to make a different environment feeling They want you to feel like you are coming home not to a hotel. As the general manager said. Me personally being a shy person I wasn’t too fond of that. It was all eyes on me didn’t feel professional. As far as staff, you hardly saw staff throughout the day. I only saw them when you checked in and a random person walking by the pool. There’s no phone in the rooms so there is no room service . I gave the hotel a three because there is no gift shop in the hotel. There is no little store in the hotel if you need medication a little snack or something to drink. They do have a bar but I’m not a drinker. You do get complementary coffee from a certain time in the morning, but no breakfast unless you pay for it. Other than that it’s clean but for the price I feel like we should have more options. I do like that. It’s close to the shopping area. Most important thing is that it’s a clean room and things were not outdated. And lastly, they do except doggies so that is always a plus.

A pit stop from the Bay to AZ

The hotel was just rebranded. The room was nice, and very clean but did not have cable or satellite tv, it had Apple TV, and the tv wanted me to sign in with my Apple ID and that made me uncomfortable. I did sign into a couple of apps, but was careful to sign out. The bar was nice and had great foood but really needed a tv, football was on. The employees were all very nice and helpful and the free coffee in the am was a nice touch. The pool and pool bar were very cool, I did not get to enjoy them, as I just stayed there to get to get some sleep and rest. I was on my way to AZ, with all my stuff because I was moving. It was awesome they accepted pets!!

This is an ok hotel, definitely not a 4 star hotel. The bed is just ok (not that comfortable and neither were the pillows). A 4 star hotel should at least have a coffee machine in the room as well as bathrobes and slippers. I would say it’s a 2 (at most 3) star hotel. It’s hip and cute but the amenities are not in par with the advertisement.

I enjoyed the property- it was clean and the staff were attentive and friendly. That said, I booked and paid for a King Suite that was advertised as sleeping 4 people but when I arrived I was told it could only accommodate 3 people and I was downgraded to a much smaller room with 2 queens without an adjustment to my room rate. It was only a 1 night stay and I would definitely return to the property but this information needs to be adjusted on the listing and I feel more should have been done to accommodate this misinformation in the moment.
