I reserved a smoking room and the fire alarms were going off constantly in my room and others. I was called by staff who said I know its a smoking room but could you keep your door open? This was not a safe area and as a single woman that was unthinkable. the room was dirty and there was blood on one of the sheets.

There were burn holes in the bedding, the bathroom door didn’t close, the outlet was hanging out of the wall. Our neighbors were enjoying late night activities and the pounding of the headboard could be felt in my bed. The room seemed clean enough but the overall condition was abysmal.

when I checked in I either accidentally left my credit card in the credit machine or dropped it on the floor, which I doubt. when I realized what had happened I immediately put a hold on my card and went to the front desk and talked to the man that checked me in. my card had already been used at a Burger King across the road from the motel which I told the man at the desk. he did not even bother to check and see who checked in after me. the incident is under investigation and I am going to prosecute who ever took and used my card. the tub had a huge rust spot and the shower curtain would not stay closed and my wife had to clean up the water every time we took a shower. there was no chain lock on the front door so we had to prop things against the door for security. we will never stay at this motel again.

The service was not great. The staff that checked us in was unfriendly. Our room was not maintained on a daily basis. Coffee was never ready when I went into the lobby, it felt like I was inconveniencing the staff because I was looking for coffee.

We were unable to make the trip. Purchased protection insurance but did not get our refund. Tried to cancel 2 days prior to reservation but the insurer's were NOT able to get in contact with the property owner after multiple attempts. NEVER, NEVER , NEVER book from a place that will not answer the phone. Will NOT book with an ECONO LODGE ever AGAIN!!!!!!

We weren't expecting luxury, obviously. But the bedspreads had cigarette burns in them, the TV remote was secured to the night stand, the rolling desk chair's faux leather was peeling, and we decided to get up super early and hit the road because we didn't even want to stay long enough to take a shower. We were really sketched out.

The room isnt clean enough. And the non smoking room smells, we have to buy out own spray. Wish I booked a hotel closed to the beach. It was almost the same price. Í wasn’t comfortable sleeping here, glad I always go home late and tired and just take melatonin to sleep right away.

It is your average hotel room. I would not expect much. My boyfriend and I had to heavily clean the room, so beware of that. Also, the room smelled of smoke even though it was \"non-smoking\". I recommend you invest in candles and plug-ins for the duration of your stay. The location is about 13 minutes away from the beach by car, so that was a plus for us.

This place is in a great location. But it's run down. The bathroom was clean...but the cold water was hot and the hot water was cold. The shower turned out without me turning it on. The furniture in my room was pretty raggedy. I had my 2 youngest daughters with me. I did not feel safe.

Although it was a smoking room it reeked terribly of smoke. The bathroom had an exposed hole of some sort on the wall, the bathtub was disgustingly filthy! It wasn’t cleaned very well and the television only played 1 channel which was ME TV! The stairs leading to the upper levels need to be repaired as my wife and I both fell up them due to the tile being raggedy! Also, Expedia quotes you one price however the hotel charges you something totally different! I would’ve NEVER paid 99.00 per night for an Econo Lodge I would’ve went back to the Red Roof Inn which was much cheaper and in better condition! I will NEVER stay here again!

Website said pets were 25.00. When I checked in I was informed my 2 chihuahuas were 40.00 Each (non refundable). But I have to say the woman working the counter was very polite and professional.Motel is rundown with alot of unsavory people hanging around.

There was a SPERM stain on the comforter (see picture and you decide!). Did not stay. The manager refunded only half of our money. There were crumbs on the beds. I don’t think they even clean this place. Disgusting sorry excuse for a hotel. Others were complaining about water leaking into their room. We ended up driving home after our long day at a conference instead of staying. The toilet seat doesn’t even fit on the toilet! And overall we were scared to stay here. Seems to be in an unsafe location. Worst place ever.

The worst experience ever. The ceiling was leaking (we were on the second floor). They moved our room and that one was worse it had dirty towels and a diaper and baby socks in the bed when we pulled the comforter back. The lady was nice but this hotel needs to be condemned

The outside looks run down but the room was nice. It was nice to not have carpet in the room. The beds were really comfortable BUT in the bathrooms it was not cleaned properly as there was a red spot on the toilet seat. Disgusting. Just come with Your own cleaning supplies and Lysol spray and other than that it was fine. Oh to mention in June 2021 they're not offering any type of breakfast either sit down or to go

Not only was animal hair all over the room, I pulled the sheets back on the bed and it was all in the bed as well. Although the associate was polite, all she offered was some new bedding covers. I refused to stay because that was a red flag that the room hadn’t been cleaned at all. This was very unsanitary and a terrible experience.

We werent even there 5 mins and as we were unpacking our car, a drug deal went down right behind our car in the parking lot. I immediately called office frkm room but phone cord was broken, called from my cell and told them we were checking out and expected a COMPLETE refund. We were gone within 10 mins of checking in.

I booked this hotel on the app under my name as i was rushed to the hospital on vacation. The first strike was the front desk clerk being rude even after her explaining this and almost not allowing her to use the room. The area around looked unsafe and she was approached and harrassed by several persons loitering on the property. She did not feel at all comfortable staying so had to book another hotel.

I am giving this hotel a 4-star

We stayed for six days in this hotel and everything went well. The staff was very helpful in terms of going through attractions. Thanks to our new friend at the front desk, Shauntain! The housekeepers did a good job providing what we needed in the hotel. This place will only take you a few minutes away to the Virginia Beach. A very good location and a reasonable price. I will definitely recommend this hotel to everyone! Thanks, Econolodge Town Center!

The first night we stayed there the ac won’t working it was super hot that my 5 year old woke up sweating and then the next day I told the front office and then we left bc we were there for the beach and when I got back they put a fan in my room and I stayed i payed for a room not a fan in the room and then he states well we can’t move you bc we were looking for you at a 11 and you were gone so then I had to get loud with him and finally he moved us but I will never stay here again

Avoid Econo Lodge

They staff was nice, check in was quick but the room was terrible. The sheets were dirty and had pee stains on both beds, the room had a terrible smell, the shower was dirty, the ice machine didn’t work, and our door was broken and it wouldn’t lock multiple times. Although the room was terrible, the motel is 10 minutes away from the beach, the WiFi works well and it’s right across the street from a 7/11. Overall I would never stay here again lol

Wasn't bad, clean, nice front desk person. My only complaint is the maid trying to come into our room before we even checked out, while there is a do not disturb sign hanging on the door, so there was definitely no respect shown there. Other than that, it was fine for what we needed, we had our two dogs and it was good for them too.

While the staff was nice the room wasn’t. Cracked tile in the bathroom area, bottom of tub looked dirty, towels were very dingy and didn’t look very clean. Burn hole in one blanket even though this was a non-smoking room. For what I paid for one night, I expected better. I won’t stay there ever again.
