Check in clerk was not very friendly. To be honest, when we drove around back to our room, it looked like a big drug house. We were so uncomfortable that we never even stopped the car. We made an immediate decision to just leave and find another hotel. Needless to say, we lost the money we spent for this hotel. Not very happy about that!

Hot Ass Mess

I guess it was my fault for trying to book a hotel last minute during playoff weekend BUT a Knight’s Inn was better than this stay. Hell a shelter was better than this stay. It was dust all on the TV, stand, and lamps. The plumbing was messed up, toilet gurgling, and the shower drain was so clogged that the water does not go down. I wish y’all could of seen the amount of Lysol I sprayed and how much I wiped to even feel somewhat comfortable. I highly DO NOT recommend it is not worth spending a penny on.

Whoever inspects this location, inspect soon because I’m sure it will fail then shut that bs down and revamp it!

I arrived on Dec 17th 2021 and I requested to be in a 2 non smoking room and was placed in 2 smoking rooms. I requested a change because I’m asthmatic and there were no available rooms left. I also experienced the hotel very unclean and appliances not operable. To top it off on Saturday there were roaches in the bathroom and shower. I am disappointed and I’m requesting a refund. I would not advise anyone to stay at this property in the future.

The hotel is a known to be frequented by local drug users and prostitution. The rooms are filthy and falling apart. The beds have bed bugs and cockroaches roam the rooms freely. There wasn’t any thing true about their advertising online.

The good thing about the hotel is it was relatively close to the VA Beach Boardwalk and gas stations, major stores, and food. It was super disappointing, because, I get COVID, but only one person could be in the lobby at one time. You spoke to the hotel representative through a glass, and it was difficult to hear, they weren’t very friendly at all (I’ve had worse, but you can tell when someone is just doing something so they get paid not because they like it). The room was dirty. I paid for a non-smoking room, and I walked in and the blast of cigarette smoke hit you square in the face as soon as the door was cracked. The bath tub would not hold water in it, it had dirt, and pubic hairs in the tub still, and the tub had a slight dirt ring around it. For a quick stop, it was fine, but anything longer than a day or two, I wouldn’t do.

I booked online and once I got there I realized nothing was as advertised. No breakfast. No access to any pool, the lobby was even closed down .. not at all as advertised. I was coming down with kids and those were the most important items for them. I did however speak to management and they did cancel the stay and gave me a receipt for cancellation. As it was so far from what I wanted, but I did end up getting a equally poor hotel room. I presume it was because I was in a rush even more more expensive, as it was last minute but that hotel room was run down and had riffraff in every corner.

This place is very dirty and needs a lot of maintenance . Bathroom ceiling was leaking and looked moldy. Room had a musty smell and strong cigarette smell. The area looks dangerous and it seems as if they use the motel for those who need shelter and housing purposes. I stayed with 3 kids and couldn’t bare walking in the carpet without shoes. This place is awful - only do it if you ha e to. I’d say you get what you pay for but at $200/night it was not cheap - unlike this place. Reminded me of one of those crack by the hour hotels you see in the movies or the show breaking bad. Non-smoking room smelled like someone lived there for a year smoking a pack a day inside the hotel. Service sucked. When I went to check in, the guy working the counter looked at me and scowled and then proceeded to ignore me until finally I had to knock on the window to get his attention. The bed sham was ripped. The table had half the wood trim missing, and bare wood was showing. The TV didn't work, the bathtub was dirty, and hair was in the tub and stuck in the drain. The best thing about the stay was one of the ice machines was working. Next time I will be taking pictures.

This hotel was a dive. Person charged are credit card even though we paid in full thru hotel.com. When asked for a ground floor person said there wasn't any so given 2nd floor. The no smoking room reeked of smoke. Asked for new room and clerk stated we had a handicap room but no elevator. Given a new room on 1st floor...amazing since he first stated there wasn't a ground floor room. People were loitering in front of the hotel and parking lot. I would never recommend anyone to stay here.

Appearance of hotel was horrible, the inside was even worse there were roaches in the bathroom, cigarette holes in the covers, and pen marks on the sheets ,brown stains on the photos on the wall and the bathtub looked rusted.d, my entire room smelled like cigarettes and weed I will never book there again didn’t stay longer than 20 minutes then I went back to the front office and requested refund . In the past this was our go to hotel for nights to ourself or a quick get away. We never had a problem with the owner or the employees. Recently, after staying elsewhere and returning we realized this hotel breaks a lot of laws, not to mention one of the employees or the owner or both is running a scam where he chastise people who make reservations through a third party and charge them an additional fee or makes them check out and wait until 3 the check in again for each nights stay. I’ve spent tons here in the past but they could never get another dollar of mine.

My payment had been pulled from my bank account when I made the choice of pay at hotel for a reason. I pulled the money out of my account so I didn’t need to take my card with me for traveling for vacation. They did refund my account and let me pay cash. Hotel was okay cleanliness wise but could tell it was a little run down and needs some renovations. If looking for a cheaper place to stay, I would recommend. If looking for a cheaper hotel for a few days, I would probably go to the days inn down the road.

This place is a disgrace on Ramada Inn brand name.

Awful building. We asked for a non smoking room and we were put in a smoking room. After request, we were moved to another room, which apparently had some air freshener smell. We had a takeout dinner we wanted to eat in the dinner, due to bad smell in the room we decided not to eat. Breakfast quality was poor. Overall quality of the building is bad. Bathroom shower head was below the standard height and bath tub was choked while taking shower. This place is a disgrace on Ramada Inn brand name. It needs a huge CapEx to rehab this place. My recommendation, this hotel should be torn down and rebuilt.

Later on that night around 11:30 pm my daughter and I was encounted with bedbugs we took a picture went to the front desk and they move us to another room. We tried to find a last min room in Virginia Beach VA, unfortunately everything was fully book, unless we wanted to spend 500.00 for 8 hrs of sleep we had to look outside of virginia beach. Its now 11:30 pm and we are exhausted. So we decided to drive to Norfolk area the only thing we could find was this hotel. 200.00 for some sleep, there bed linens were dirty, stained, and obviously not clean. The phone had a disgusting layer of gunk on and around buttons. We laid on top of beach towels we had and put t-shirts over pillows. The floor had chunks of only god knows what on it. We rested the best we could and got out as fast as possible! Leaving...... We saw bullet hole in one of the doors of another room. Omg!

The place is definitely outdated but in a great location. When I got there, there were stains on the bed and mattress and it smelled like a drunk old man’s breath. I found an old pair of glasses between the spring and mattress which lets me know they don’t really clean too well. I thoroughly checked for bed bugs by lifting the mattress and box springs and checking the seams but there weren’t any. Aside from a couple small gnats, no bugs that I witnessed which was a huge relief for me. The place is definitely outdated just like a lot of other places out there. I wish these hotels would just spend a little more to update their stuff. The hotel clerks were nice and quick to respond even though I’m not too picky. The housekeeping women were attentive as well. I had room 201 and it was nice and quiet at least.

The people at the desk were lovely at check in and check out but... you check in with so.eone safely behind glass. Sketchy There was hair on the sheets under a pillow when we turned down the bed. The bathroom was in disrepair. The toilet was not booked to the floor and the tub was filthy and the width our youngest child struggled to shower in. The carpet in the bedroom was dirty. On check out day, housekeeping kept cupping her hands around her eyes up on the glass of our window to see if we were about to leave - beginning an hour early. At night, there are tens and tens of cats roaming the halls and parking lot.

The place is a dump. Rooms are in desperate need of remodel/repair. There were screw tips sticking out of the head board where your pillow rests, the AC didn’t seem to work at all, the front door only latched by the deadbolt, and the bathroom door didn’t latch at all. The bed was extremely broken down and worn. Check in was smooth and the staff seemed good.

I went to Norfolk, VA a few months ago and I didn't like the hotel I stayed in. I must say, me and my boyfriend would definitely stay again in this hotel. We love the calmness of the lights, how comfortable and big the beds were. I would give it a 5/5 but instead I am giving it 4/5 because we had a little inconvenience with the keys but besides that. I LOVE THIS HOTEL. I hope that whoever reads this, don't listen a lot to the people writing super negative reviews. If it was for that, I would've never stayed here. Go somewhere else

Horrible experience. The room was filthy and hadn't been cleaned. There was underwear hanging on the doorknob or the bathroom door, a dirty washcloth on the shower rod, and mold in the room. Not too mention small details like no tissues in the tissue box...I ended up staying 2 out of 3 nights but I sprayed the tub with disinfectant. It was really hard for me to breathe, I couldn't take it

House Cleaning showed up maybe 2 times the whole stay
