Property was pet friendly it seems like a lot of locals reside here. Staff were amazing for what they could control. Room doors did not lock. I was assigned three rooms to accommodate not having two doubles, so I received a double room that wouldn’t lock unless you used the manual locks. No bathroom light. Sticky floors. I received two single rooms which had sticky floors as well. One of those rooms also didn’t lock. All three rooms had roaches and I had to go buy my own Raid. One of the rooms never got registered to me and the owner knew that because front desk Robbie called her and she said to just let us have it because we arrived late from Maryland and needed rest. Later the owner would come knocking on the door saying we had to vacate due to this room not being assigned to us. Like I would not recommend this hotel unless they do a total renovation. Robbie was the only reason I stayed and the fact that it was the weekend in Virginia Beach and all hotels were booked. Nothing to offer for such a horrible stay and management never reached out to apologize and I was standing at the front desk when Robbie called her at home to explain the dilemma. To act like she was clueless later is mind boggling. Thanks again Robbie for your continuous apologies he’s worth more than he’s being paid to deal with the night he had.

Always read reviews before you book. Lesson learned. Never rush so much you forget to read the fine print.

ROACHES ROACHES ROACHES. This place is infested with roaches so bad that you can see them in the hallways. My check in was late so I missed alllllllllll of this. No point on complaining to the front desk because they are also tenants of the motel. This hotel is entirely way too new to be this run down ! They even had roaches in the refrigerator. I would not recommend brining in any open bags. Now if you do stay here buy 3 bottles of roach spray because you’ll use it so often. Please do not bring children here that are not used to bugs. They will scream and cry and won’t be able to sleep through the night because they will be bug watching. You will kill an average of 20 roaches a day. So if you stay a week that’s 140. You are not being compensated to be pest control so please take that into consideration in the pricing. I’m not sure their pest control is being compensated either. Considering the amount of roach feces around the plumbing.

Save money. Sleep in your car. Get a gym membership to take a shower. Get a storage for your things. Anything but this.

The hall smelled like weed. Our room should have been none smoking and that was the first thing you could smell when walking into the room. That was not a deal breaker but disappointing.

Next lets talk the cleanliness of the room. The frigerater had a half eaten ring of meat in it and the freezer had wash rags in it??
The bonus was the cigarette butts and condom in the elevator when leaving. Tried to give feed back to the front desk but there was no one untill the maid came down.
There is lots to improve here.

This was for sure a temporty housing facility. Weed smell/smoke. People hanging outside rooms and parking lot at 11:15/11:30 pm when we checked in. Room was not a motel/hotel room.Dirty and old efficeny room with burn hole in plastic and dirty on bed. We left very fast and not a place for out of town people.

Good: pet friendly, kitchenette, tv with cable provided, full size fridge, a good amount of storage space for 1-2 people, face soap, toilet paper, 24 hr laundry room ( I didn’t see it), laundry basket provided.

Horrendous: filthy floors, roaches dead and alive*, must rent dishes and bath towels.

*The night I rented was late on a Friday night. I got a handicapped accessible room on 2nd floor. The “wood” floor turned my white socks black in less than a minute. First night there were two dying adult roaches. Killed them with pure alcohol. Walls and door to bathroom were damaged. I could barely move bathroom door. Thankfully, all lights worked. Only towels provided were face towels. The toilet stopped flushing after two uses. Next day I had food delivered from Papa John’s. I set it on the counter and went down to get a soda. When I returned and opened boxes to get my food there were baby roaches all over my food! Now I am hungry but grossed out! I’m lucky I also stored protein drinks in fridge! Tossed my whole meal. I complained but they did nothing. WARNING!!!! NO REFUNDS they have the sign posted in their foyer.

I was told “because you bought through Expedia, there is nothing I can do. I can’t issue you a credit back to your card.”

I don’t want to blame Expedia! I want Expedia to remove these folks as a recommendation actually. Wood Spring Suites is NOT recommended by me.

I thought this was decent hotel for 1 night , and had to change my room bed looked like sheet hadn’t been cleaned nor changed . Second room , i requested not enough linen in the bathroom, I stripped sheets and re made the bed . The toilet pressure remained low even when using toilet paper; I saw one roach near the kitchen sink .

this hotel had all the issues i read in the reviews, but so did the other more expensive hotels near by. the bed was hard (but so was the Disney hotel i stayed in recently) the TV was small and had bright spots all over it. i killed a small roach and ant. the staff seemed to bothered that i showed up.

This place is terrible! DO NOT stay here! Ebony was rude at check in. The reason for the stay was because we were attending a concert. When we got back from the show we discovered the room had roaches. We packed up and got left immediately. No one at service desk so we called the phone numerous times and had to leave a message. There was also a police officer coming at the same time. According to him this is pretty much the norm. 1

I was deceived by the description on your website and my third party provider about the type of hotel or suites that I booked. It was nothing like the description or pictures. I had to change to 2 other rooms that were horrible to the last one that at least had a phone, remote and clock in it. I never there slept because when we came back from my aunts funeral, in which I was in town for, was infested with roaches running all over the floor when we turned the lights on at 1:30am. We step on one, but there were other things wrong in that room. I took pictures and will gladly forward to corporate if necessary. I need my money back. This is unacceptable and there was no one at the desk to contact, we grabbed our things and left to drive back to Georgia with no sleep after having such a stressful day with my Aunt. We never slept there and was suppose to check out today, August 31st. We are devastated by this experience and expect someone to respond back to me with a solution for my horrible experience.

Uninhabitable Experience-

In the parking lot , there sat a squad car with a k-9 sign on the side of the vehicle .Upon signing in ,there was a sign that read no refund .Upon check in I had to fill out four pages of waivers and was told that some occupants had lived in this hotel for years . After opening the door to the assigned room ,there was a strong smell of urine possibly masked with bleach .The room was not clean and I checked out immediately with a refund and no questioning from the desk clerk. This facility should not be listed as a hotel as it contains long term residents and the place shows signs of interior wear and tear throughout .

This property is not well maintained. It smelled of marijuana upon entering. You could hear through the walls. The refrigerator was rusted and cracked. The microwave door was broken where the handle was and was glued on crooked. The chair was peeling. The nightstand was scratched. There was no remote to the TV and when one was requested, I was given one without a battery cover and it was to the wrong TV so it didn't work. The bathroom door was cracked as though someone had punched it. I ended up leaving after two hours and booking a room elsewhere.

This is not a traditional hotel. I should have no by the fact there was no lobby with accessible bathrooms. The room had roaches and upon further inspection the mattress had bedbugs. I would rather sleep in my car then subject myself to such uncleanliness. The staff was no where to be found. I finally realized this was a place for temporary residence for those who are undomiclied. Needless to say I did not stay! Please don’t market this as a hotel!!!! There are ghettos cleaner than this place.

First room toilet didn't work , bathroom door didn't open all the way , side of fridge dirty n a cabinet door was ripped off , no remote , moved to a different room and the house keeper busted in on us in the morning because she wasn't aware of the room change . it smelled the entire stay very sketchy .No discounts or anything worst hotel i ever visited
