The room was fine. The bedspread was dirty. The cafe was minimal. The front desk were ver personable on check in day. The next day was not as pleasant. We were concerned about staying the 3rd night because of snow on roads. The staff member was not understanding and told us to enjoy where we were. We had been enjoying Denali very much, so this felt rude. We checked out a day early and are still hoping that we will be reimbursed for the third night since we left due to weather.

Beautiful property within walking distance of shops and dining. Would highly recommend if you plan to visit Denali Park. We took the train from Fairbanks to the Denali Depot, met with the representative from Denali Bluffs who gave us luggage tags and checked us in. Our luggage was taken to our room while we toured Denali Park. This entire process was seamless. The shuttle service that runs between the Park and Nenana is very convenient. We hopped on it to get to the Denali Buff after exploring the park. We hardly saw any animals and those that we glimpsed were quite far away. Looking forward to visiting the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center in Anchorage where we will see the animals up, close and personal. Do not miss dining at Prospector’s Pizzeria and Alehouse. It is always jam packed for a reason…we tried The North Face pizza and it was one of the best pizzas that we have had. The spinach salad was excellent as well.

We stayed one night here to visit Denali NP. Our room was huge and very nicely decorated. The king size bed was comfortable and the view was fantastic!! The staff were all very nice. We didn’t eat there. While it was a beautiful dining room be prepared for high prices. Instead we drove to Healy to 49th Street Brewery which was very good. Most people were on tour buses so we understand that going somewhere else is not an option.

It is approximately a 10 minute walk down to town. They do offer shuttle drop off and pickup also. The Mountaineer Grill & Bar at the Bluffs has excellent food, drinks, and service. It was a pleasant stay.

Staff was great, very helpful and ready to assist with anything you need. Room was clean, beds were comfortable. The restaurant on the property is quite tasty but way over-priced. But when you're tired and it's late, it sure comes in handy. The only area for improvement would be the laundry room was slightly dirty -- from people not picking up after themselves and the smell from the septic system seemed to flare up every now and again. The property itself is lovely. I would recommend.

Nice new modern lodge up in the hill just up the road from Denali Park entrance. The Denali Park tour bus picked us up right at the front door, so this is a very convenient place. There is an on-site bar and Grill as well as a convenience store. It’s about a mile from other dining options, but we did not explore those. We were here for one night and the next morning took the bus tour into the park And then went home.

Literally can’t get any closer to the entry of Denali NP. After long drive up from Anchorage and hours in Denali NP, great that we do close to hotel. One caution though if driving to hotel. They have EXTREMELY limited parking. Like 8 parking spots on top tier closest to hotel. Two other lower tiers down the hill. I ended up parking at bottom tier. So plan to drop your bags and not have to drag them up the hill. Our room was spacious and comfy with awesome views of surrounding area. Great black out curtains as it was never dark out during our stay. Comfortable bed. We ate at The Mountaineer, the onsite hotel. Service and food were good. Other than parking only other downside was walks were quite thin. You can hear when your neighbors are showering or talking. Little cafe on site in lobby to get breakfast. Was quite good. Traveling with my parents. They stayed in cheaper room. Did not have a balcony and had view of other cabins. You are in Alaska and at Denali NP. Pay extra. Get room with the view.

The hotel accommodations people traveling via train. If you arrive in a car the parking and service is limited. We had to park two lots down, and lug our baggage up to our rooms. This is the equivalent of about 4-5 sets of stairs. Supposedly you can get a person to assist you, but no one was available. The resteraunt on site was not open, so you either have to shuttle, walk a great distance or walk a great distance to your car ans risk not having a space when you return. If you are driving, I would not recommend.

Loved our view from room 2629. The room was spacious and had a great view. Only thing is you can’t park near your building, but they have a golf cart to take you and your luggage to your room. It’s stairs only if you are on the second floor. But would definitely stay here again.

I had my expectations low considering it’s a hillside hotel even though it was $400/night. The room was very average with limited towels and awful soaps. The towel bar was broken and when I called front desk no one answered. We spend two nights and the rooms were not cleaned. My husband was upset at the rough blankets and bedsheets and the super loud heating system. I am shocked this hotel has good reviews. I do not recommend this hotel for this price. It was load as you can hear people walk above and talk Nextdoor.

I cannot say enough about our room. It was huge and the view of the national park was outstanding. Sitting on the balcony was wonderful! The staff was attentive. Every question was answered immediately. My only complaints: 1) very limited menu at the restaurant (I asked to use the children’s menu but was denied) and 2) the grab and go needs more items, even if they don’t expand the menu. We could only eat one of the four breakfast sandwiches. We got the last one our first morning and had to share it. They were out of it the second morning and we tried the chorizo burrito but it was way too spicy to eat before the national park hike. The location of the property was ideal!

We were assigned a room in one of the newer buildings and it was very nice and spacious. We had a gorgeous view of the mountain. We arrived on the first day that this property opened for the season. The reason for a 4-star rather than a 5-star rating is due to our feeling that things were not quite up to speed for opening day along with the fact that the lobby is not terribly welcoming. Our other Alaska accommodations - as well as others that we visited while in Denali - offered comfortable furniture for gathering and relaxing with travel companions. This property did not offer this. Their shuttle service was all that one could ask for. Over all, our stay here was nice.

We stayed 2 nights at Denali Bluffs hotel. The 1st night the alarm went off in the middle of the night, a little thing but startled me. No hot water in the room. The TV and frig were on the dresser top so no place to pack and unpack. The room decor is tired and old looking, like garage sale furniture.
I may have missed it in the info, but the rooms are pedestrian access only. Fortunately, there are golf carts and drivers to help with that. I stayed in a room farthest from the ice machine so I utilized a ride there.
The rooms do not seem sound proofed at all, heard everybody and everything. I expected more for $400 a night but, hey, location, location, location. NOTE: the service people were generally pleasant and helpful (albeit undertrained for the season) and this is an OWNERSHIP PROBLEM. Seems they put the minimal amount into the experience and it's obvious. Greedy.

Everything is great except the internet. The hotel details promises a free wifi but it doesn’t work. It was working fine in the hotel lobby so not sure why it cant be made available in rooms. When we informed at the front desk we were told it was due to the weather but I don’t think that is true. We were here for multiple days and it didnt work.

We stayed in room 2629 for 2 nights May 2025. The hotel had just opened for the season. Staff get 10/10 for being welcoming, responsive and respectful. Our room was perfect! On the end of the lodge, 2nd floor with a wrap around balcony, providing stunning views of the mountains and river below. We could not have asked for better, especially just coming off a disappointing 2-night stay at the McKinley Lodge, Trappper Creek.
The entrance to Denali Park is less than 1 minute down the road - perfect for early access to the park. We also had a wonderful Salmon Salad at the Black Diamond Grill in Healy (10 minutes north).

This place is fine. We arrived in mid-September, so that may have affected our experience. The rooms were fine. It's a place to stay. It is an easy walk to the few shops and restaurants and a nice hike to the park. Dining had limited options, especially for breakfast. Park tour buses stop here, which is also a plus. Pickup from the train station is available for an extra price. It was convenient to use as you get a tag for the hotel when you check into the train, and they take from there to the hotel. I would recommend it as a fine base for your Denali adventure.

The deluxe king room was spacious and had great views. 2nd floor vaulted ceiling made room feel even more spacious. Restaurant/bar on property good variety and friendly, quick service. Only complaint which is a personal issue is the hotel transportation route. The service they provide to and from the park and town is great, however from Denali Bluffs the transport then goes to Grand Denali which is very high up and not good on those who aren't fond of heights on public transportation. After the first ride up the hill which consist of multiple switchbacks we changed our plans so we wouldn't have to do again.

Arriving by train and having check-in combined with the shuttle ride up to the hotel was super slick. My room was giant, had a great view, and was clean and comfy.
Only downside: the shuttle into the park took forever, and I ended up walking instead most of the time. If you aren't there as part of a cruise/tour, just be prepared for most of the guests to be cruise ship people.

Very nice hotel room relatively close to Denali. Outside propane fire pit did not work. When staff was asked about this we were told they were out of propane and probably wouldn’t be getting any more as the end of the season was approaching. We felt that if we paid the same as earlier summer guests we should have the same amenities. Otherwise it was a good stay and would stay again.

This hotel has pluses and minuses. Pluses are friendly staff, comfortable clean room, restaurant, bistro and bar on-site. Decent views of mountains but not Denali. Minuses are checkout time of 10:00 am with staff promptly knocking at 9:59, balcony for our building 10 is view of neighboring building that is very close, people on neighboring balcony or walking path having loud conversations both early and late, very limited parking, trek from parking lot to room that is on uneven surfaces, not covered and can be quite a distance with heavy luggage. No elevators if staying in upper room. Restaurant on site that was closed for breakfast at 10 am and cafe on site that was open at 10 but served no breakfast items other than coffee. The same restaurant for dinner was very good.

This was a convenient place to stay. Close to shopping. Your bus picked us up from the hotel and that was easy. We had lukewarm water for our showers. The bath towels were yellowed and very rough.
