Superb environment for a city stay. Reception staff were very helpful. Breakfast was okay but could have offered a bit more.

The room was clean and quiet. Shower was pleasant. Decent location for things to do. However, still quiet.

I'd say the price was slightly high for what it is but overall, I enjoyed my stay tremendously.

This hostel is in a great area in paris, seeming generally safe and about a 10 min walk to the train station that has the metro 6 line which can take you to the eiffel tower area(among many others) which is super handy for any tourists and travellers interested in hitting the big monuments! The private double room was quite small but as our main concern was traveling around the city space wasn't an issue for us. They also have body wash provided for the shower which is one of the better hotel soaps i've tried. The breakfast as well was actually quite good but also goes fast so don't wait till the last minute to grab food. Overall great stay and I'd go back in a heartbeat!

Positive : It was in a safe area, breakfast was included.
Negative : When I checked in a member of staff was talking to the receptionist, they ignored me. I had to demand attention. There was absolutely no flexibility as to the checking in time, I had to leave my luggage in a room together with other guests'.I was put in the furthest section, having to cross a yard in bad weather, up a set of stairs, then in the building, up two sets of stairs, no lift which was difficult when carrying luggage. The worst was that I couldn't access Internet which was essential for my work. The receptionist available then refused to help. I had to find an IT expert myself in the hostel. He did his best to connect me to the Premium line, free of charge. Unfortunately, I still couldn't have a connection. I had to go to a family member's in order to connect to teach! The hostel advertises itself as a business centre. I truly don't know how the business people could work. There were a lot of school youngsters on what looked like a language course. I had no problem with that but it's worth mentioning should that bother anyone else.
I travel a lot in many countries, this is the first time that I cannot connect to the Internet to work. I will never return to that place.

We were extremely uncomfortable in the room. It was terribly ventilated and no air circulation at all. We complained a few times and the hotel did not do anything for us to help resolve this issue. Also, the shower was broken and the lighting was treacherous. It felt like a hospital.

Good place but several drawbacks

This place is a good deal for the price. It is clean and in a good location but there are several drawbacks: 1. the check-out time is very early at 9.30am which is very unusual; 2, upon return to the property there is a bag check like in a youth hostel. You can't even bring a bottle of beer or wine into your room.

The central heating is down in my room and they didn't fix it but only gave me a small heater that didn't really help. This hostel kind of hosts large groups of school students every day, so it's very loud and noisy at night and during the breakfast it's a long line and often run short of food / drink. Also, the checkout time and breakfast time are super early.

The rooms were so spacious which was lovely, our room that fit 4 had a large bathroom with 2 sinks and 2 showers and a separate toilet room in the room. They had a fan and 4 windows so we could get nice air in. The lobby is huge and has a luggage storage with so much space. There is a security guard at the door making sure you are actually staying there. There are 3 modern elevators. The breakfast room is kind of hidden but they had a great selection of breakfast foods with plenty of food for all. The orange juice was weird tasting though. Staff were fine. No soap to wash your hands, and no shampoo or conditioner in the bathroom.

Great if you are a young traveller as this is the focus of the place. Rooms are big but have not TV nor AC nor anything else. Just the beds. The desk personnel was helpful and freindly. Breakfast was just ok, we arrived half an hour before closing and there was no coffee nor some of the food items. Bfast workers were just trying to finish their shifts and acted as if the service has already ended.

The AC unit didn't work. The receptionist provided a fan.
The kitchen staff were rude. My son took a bowl from the cereal table for fruits. The lady took the bowl with harsh behavior. In turn my son used 2 small bowls. This kind of attitude sucks. Hotel management should train their staff better. I ended up yeiling at the stupid woman.

Great value. Second stay here confirmed my very favorable opinion of the facility. A very high standard of cleanliness, good breakfast, spacious rooms (superior to most Paris hotels) and excellent, friendly, helpful staff.
The facility provides a laundry, spacious lounge and bar/cafe area, offering a good range of edibles.
Good linen and superior bed comfort. Close to two Metro, eateries, supermarkets and a generally present area.

People are friendly for simple sleep over night

Only provide a small piece of soap, bed is not very comfortable, I have two twin beds but the gap in the middle made it not very comfortable to sleep in the middle. If you stay in B, then you have to carry your luggage all the way to your home. Didn't try common facilities.

After booking and paying through Expedia, they continued to try charge me further. Initially the full charge and then the taxes. Vending machines were all pretty much empty and the one that wasn’t would take your money. No opportunity to grab a bottle of water.

well placed quality surprise

Delightful place. Services adequate, not fancy (no toiletries, tea/coffee facilities or TV, but that just means more peace of mind) furniture and room/bathroom design is on high level. Spacious, bar and activities make the place lively and convenient, breakfast is very good, wifi is good, it would have helped to have signs that you can hang on the door when you don't want room service so that towels are not wasted unnecessarily. The location is very good. Overall - a very pleasant surprise.

This is the second time that I have stayed here and although the hostal is clean, the rooms are good for the price and the location is very good. I have to give a low rating as several things disappeared from my room the day before I left. I reported it to the staff who so far have not contacted me (its been 3 days so far) with an update regarding this issue. So unfortunately I'm quite disappointed.

The hotel was an effective place to gather with a group of students and stay for a couple of days. Breakfast was adequate, rooms were clean but simple. Our room had two twins end to end as opposed to a double but it worked. No A/C so it was a little warm even in October! Staff was helpful. Laundry facilities came in handy. About 10 minute walk to Metro station.

Even though the hostel rooms are simple, they have everything you need. The shower was hot and with plenty of water pressure! The breakfast was terrific...fresh, and with a good variety of choices. The facilities at the FIAP are good....coffee shop/bar and a restaurant on site that offers good value meals. My room was on the street side of the building and there was a lot of street noise throughout the night, and as it was a warm night, I needed to keep the window open. Otherwise it was a good experience.

I stayed here while in Paris to be near my daughter who was at the end of a study abroad program. The room was very clean and comfortable. Hot, but fine once I got a fan from the front desk. It's a little noisy on the street side if you want to sleep with the windows open. Food was good and very friendly bar staff. Short walk to metro. Overall a good value.

Simple, No Frills Stay for the Budget Traveler

Pros:
-Free, simple breakfast (cereal, croissants, coffee)
-Friendly receptionists
-Will keep your luggage for you if it's too early to check in

Cons:
-Absolutely no amenities/toiletries in the bathroom (bring your own shampoo/soap/etc.)
-Was REALLY difficult for me to find this place, even with a map.
-My room was on the ground floor and had semi-transparent white curtains. Had to change in the bathroom out of privacy concerns.

Very affordable and good location in Paris

I was in Paris two nights on business and didn't want to pay a fortune for a hotel when I expected to only sleep and shower. FIAP was priced right and exceeded my expectations -- as a hostel I didn't expect much, but my room was super-clean, comfortable and with a private bathroom and shower. Yes, the lobby is noisy and filled with groups of teens on tour, but atmosphere is positive, there is good security, and everything is clean and private. Only negative was breakfast -- very average and not many options for a vegan like me. Also, bring your own soap -- it's not a hotel. But overall, great. I will probably stay again. Certainly excellent for families on a budget too.

Absolitely pleased with our stay. The hostel is new, nicely furnished with small but very functional rooms (large shower, wall-mounted usb plugs, motion sensor light switch at the entrance, wardrobe), just remember to bring your own shower toiletries. The breakfast consists of a rich continental choice of food, including branded cereals that don't taste like paper (thanks). There is a bar and large common area with an internal garden. It honestly looks better than in the pictures. The nearest metro station is about 5 minutes away. The only negative note is the early check out time (9.30 am) other than that for that price is absolutely a bargain!

Perfect Parisian Place to Stay

Excellent low frills hotel. I've stayed st the FIAP before and it continues to be my preferred lodging in Paris. Conveniently located just steps from the metro (line 6, Glaciere) in a quiet neighborhood with multiple options for meals in the surrounding area. Free breakfast, a lunch and dinner buffet and a bar with snacks make it easy to stay in and eat or walk a few steps to one of the many nearby restaurants. This is not really a hostel but a hotel. They hold conferences and offer language classes. The evening entertainment is quite nice and usually free. I highly recommend this location and all of the main tourist things are within a 20 minute metro ride.

Generally, I liked the hostel because it's worth it's price (not pricey). It is also near the metro, grocery and restaurants.

The only thing I didn't like was the buffet dinner during the first night. The food was so bland the salt didn't help at all. It wasn't worth 12€

Perfect for low cost Paris visit

This is well located by a metro in the Montparnasse area. It is an upmarket hostel for young and the not so young and as long as you realise that you will be very happy. The staff were helpful and bi-lingual and the rooms are clearly newly renovated and immaculately clean. The only problem was poor air conditioning but fans are available for rental. Car parking in underground car parks is available nearby in Rue du Wurst.

Go to premium room for a quieter stay and aircon

Better to book a premium room :
Quieter because there will be no massive groups of noisy teenagers.

Secondly because only premium rooms do have air conditioning, extremely useful as Paris is more and more frequently hit by heatwaves up to 40° C (and still more than 25° at 03.00 AM)

Breakfast has nothing special, they should better propose fares without breakfast included.

No me gustó la desorganización entre el hostal y Expedia, al momento de llegada, no les aparecía mi pago y nos tuvieron mucho rato en recepción haciéndonos preguntas y pidiendo que les mostrara documentos bancarios del pago, etc. Además no me gustó la ubicación, la calidad del desayuno, el horario del desayuno 6.45 a 9.00hrs, ni el horario del check -out 9.00hrs.

Morgenmad var under middel. Det samme serveres hver dag, og er virkelig kedeligt. Det kan jeg slet ikke anbefale.
Det er ikke særlig børnevenligt. Der er ikke taget højde for aktiviteter til mindre børn. Vi rejste med børn på alderen 3, 7 og 10 år.
De kunne ikke lide morgenmaden heller.

Je m'attendais à une chambre très basique mais j'ai eu en fait une chambre digne d'un hôtel classique. Le petit déjeuner est très bien également.

Propreté irréprochable. Confort suffisant. Petit déjeuner efficace.
Insonorisation des fenêtres insuffisantes mais c est ok avec des boules quies.
