For a 4 star rating, this hotel is disappointing. Dirty carpet in the hallways, staff did not leave coffee pods for machine in the room for 3 of the 5 nights we stayed there, just not the level one would expect of a 4 star hotel. Also, the toilet room has no ventilation and the overall size of the room barely allowed for a suitcase to be open.

On the positive side, some staff were nice and courteous, and location was good, just across the street from the Metro entrance. Good shower, good water pressure, good towel warmer and nice thick towels.

There are shops near by. The RER B is 5 minutes away. Theat train goes to the airport and Gare du Nord. It also has the metro 4 and 6 right across the street. There are plenty of places to eat close by. Everywhere we wanted to go was 20 minutes tops.

We had to clean the room when we arrived. There was hair on the floor, the floors were sticky and smelt like pee. We were only there for 2 nights, but any longer we wouldn’t have put up with that. Location is far from center city but close to metro.

Very small and old. Bait-n-switch.

We booked a family room, but when we arrived, we were told that they didn't have a family room available. Instead, they gave us two separate rooms on the same floor, but they were not located next to each other. Later we realize they don’t have a family room. It’s just a way to lure you in and then give you two rooms as an option.

The rooms were very small, and one of them was so tiny that you couldn't even sit and use the toilet without hitting your shoulders on the sidewalls.

Additionally, the elevator was too small to fit our family of 4 with two carry-on bags, so we had to take two trips. Overall, the hotel is in need of renovation.

Nice hotel just 10 minute walk from Denfert metro. Staff were very friendly and acoomodating. Rooms are small but comfortable with coffee makers in room. Prepare for the red decor! The local area is nice has many bars and cafes and main sights of Paris only a 20 minute walk away. Very reasonable for the price.

Door lock system requires maintenance or up to date replacement - out of battery at check-in, failed to open the next day, even after reset at reception. Clausterphobic elevator. Shower wall needs to be extended as it currently leaks most of water onto floor causing serious slippage risk.

Close to area we wanted to explore. Front desk very helpful with directions. Breakfast very good. Some construction in our hallway area blocked elevator at times. Power went out for a couple hours. Room small with some street noise but adequate with big bathroom. Nice coffee machine in room and complimentary treats in lobby. Carpet in hallway looked a bit outdated and elevator quite small.
Overall still a pleasant stay because of staff, always great at all hours, and arranged our early taxi at departure, perfect 👍

What is advertised and what one gets are 2 different things. If you want to subway everywhere this may be an option but it is not a 4 star. The hotel is tiny and you can hear the comings and goings of other guests because it’s so small.

Decent stay but needs some updates

The location of the hotel was excellent. Close to shopping, great restaurants, grocery store and metro. It was pretty quiet but I would recommend asking for a room as far away from the elevator as possible as it was loud when the door would open and close.
The room itself was decent with comfortable beds and a Nespresso machine, but there was a lot of things broken. Our shower head wouldn’t stay secured to the wall. There was not glass or shower curtain to prevent water from splashing out of the shower, so there was a lot of water on the floor. The fridge in the room didn’t work. The mini split (heat/ac) was ancient and hardly worked. I would stay here again if they do some updates to the rooms.

Our stay was stress free and relaxed, from check-in to check-out. All the staff there are very friendly and helpful. The location is great as it is walking distance from all the shops, awesome bakeries and cafés. The room itself wasn’t overly spacious but it did the job and met our sleeping and bathing needs so no complaints! Will deffo stay here again if/when visiting Paris!

I was disappointed by the size of this hotel. I was told we booked a jr suite but it was small. I wish they’d post actual, unaltered photos of the rooms on travel sites instead of fisheyed lens version. The room also had a chemical smell. And it was dark leading up to our room. This is not a good place for 4 full grown adults with 4 full luggage’s to stay in. Also, their lift /elevator was also too small. It only allowed 2 adults and 2 full luggage’s at a time. I didn’t feel what we paid to stay here was worth it. WiFi was slow, unit was small and parking was an adventure. I would also not rate this hotel a 4 star. It’s a 3 at best. Their morning host was friendlier than their night time one. I wouldn’t stay here again nor would I recommend this to anyone.

Overall, we were quite pleased. The building faces the street but it was very quiet and sleeping was comfortable. The staff were overall, helpful and courteous. A couple of things needed some repair or attention to detail - the handle on the lavatory door had screws pulled out; the control for the temperature control was not intuitive; the drain in the bath didn't work well; the safe is handy but not attached to anything so anyone could just walk out with it. These minor details not withstanding, it was a good stay.

Hotel has excellent location, across from Metro Mouton Duvernet line 4 go direct to Gare Montparnass. Walk 6 min to RER B Gare to go direct to CDG, to go to Orly airport, there is a bus right there too
The only negative is air conditioning barely works, we are in Paris in August, so hot so not as comfortable as we would expect. Reception is willing to change room but we talk the guest in that room he says the same thing about AC so we did not change . He said , coming from Asia, he tolerates heat better than us, Ac is acceptable but not like it should be. They send a maintenance man who can’t do anything. I don’t recommend this hotel in the summer

Comfortable hotel for a short stay. Not sure about the 4* rating. More like a 2.5 or 3. Room was average size for Paris. Bathroom was very small, even for Paris. Very awkward to use, no hooks to hang towels on, toilet crammed into the corner which made it restrictive, not enough shelving for toiletries - on the plus side, the shower cubicle was one of the best we had encountered anywhere. Not much room to store luggage, any more than one bag and you were tripping over it. Bed was quite comfortable, room climate control seemed to work ok. WiFi was good. Our room faced a side street but traffic from Avenue Du General Leclerc was quite loud. Staff were efficient and helpful. Breakfast is available but we didn't use it so no comment. The hotel is well located - a Metro is right outside, bus stops nearby, lots of brasseries and restaurants in the area, easy walking distance to Luxembourg gardens, St Germain, and the Seine River. Overall a good hotel for a short stay.

Loved the location. You can’t go wrong in the 14th arrondisement. It is literally right across the street from the metro line 4 Mouton Duvernet. Convenient from Orly and CDG airports on Train line B to Denfert Rouchereau train/metro station then just one stop down to this hotel. Monoprix grocery is about a block away in both directions. Alit of shopping on the street and very close to a pedestrian street with good restaurants, Bakery, honey store, cheese shop, butcher, fruit and veggie stand, etc. McDonalds is very close as well. Hotel is right next door to a pharmacy! There is also a laundromat about a 5 min walk away. Bank with ATM a few doors down. Pizza Hut on street beside hotel. Breakfast was pretty good. The checkin day the left bottled water but never replaced it the other 3 days. We had a issue with hot water in the shower and had to go to an empty room to take a shower. They sent someone to fix it the next day but it was never fixed. Light was reported out in the bathroom but bulb was never replaced. Also, the refrigerator was never cold so we went across the street to Picard and bought frozen Ice Packs for 1.50 euro. each and the hotel switched them out for us and that kept one frozen at all times. I did love the hotel having air conditioner and it worked great!!! Staff was very friendly and helpful. Overall I would stay here again just would make sure the room had a good refrigerator! We were in room 402 so would not stay in the room.

• Front desk attendant was very nice.
• Hotel is clean from what I could tell at night.

CONS:
• Not a good value for the price I paid at all.
• Rooms are smaller in reality than they appear in the photos.
• I was not given the room I reserved. Instead I got a tiny room with no working table. Tiny all around. For one night I did not bother to care but when I did ask for another room, they were not able to give me something else… even though the hotel was nearly empty.
• The room walls are paper thin. I had to bang on my wall three times to get the prostitute in the adjacent room to shut her howling. That didn’t seem to do the job so I had to complain to front desk. At 3am the male min the room left and all became quiet and I finally got some shuteye. I could not understand why out of all the rooms in the hotel they had to put me near this one. I would NOT stay here again as this is like a halfway house for hoes.

The hotel is located in a relatively cute neighbourhood. It is very near to the Catacomb entersnce and a few coffee shops/pubs and is a short walk to the Metro.

The room was slightly bigger than other rooms I’ve stayed in in Paris, but it was outdated and very hot and muggy. There was air conditioning, but it did not work well and we had a difficult time sleeping due to the heat (and it wasn’t even that hot a day in Paris). The sheets smelled a bit mildewy.

The hotel staff were quite pleasant and friendly, but overall i would not recommend this hotel.

Everything was very very good the front desk staff were kind and helpful The maids were somewhat odd. One was very disgruntled when we moved our table at breakfast and one morning we woke up to them bickering very loudly outside of our door like from 8 a.m. till about 9:30. Interest deactivate made could not remember to fill out of coffee and cream and are daily supply so we always had to go down to the family front desk stuff to get what we needed but it would have been nice if she just did her job and made a that much more comfortable.

First off, if you've never been to Paris you need to alter your expectations. Hotel rooms there are significantly smaller than they are in the United States. We knew that and were prepared. Having said that, let me say that we were pleasantly surprised with how nice the Nouvel Orleans was. Conveniently located right across the street from the Mouton-Duvernet Metro Station, it's an easy base from which to explore Paris. At the end of an exhausting day, it was really nice to emerge from the Metro and see the hotel just across the street. The staff all spoke English and was always pleasant and helpful. The room was clean and modern and very comfortable. The bathroom was small (only one person at a time) but clean and manageable. The only hiccup was the elevator broke down on the next-to-last day of our stay, so we had to use the stairs. Luckily, we were only on the second floor. But we had to haul our luggage down the stairs on the day of our checkout. Aside from that, we loved our stay there. We'd happily stay there again when we go back to Paris.

We had Elevator problem, it broke on the second day when we got there and never repaired.
We were on the fifth floor and circular staircase was difficult to manage. We also have to carry our
suitcases down five floors when we check out. It is noisy because each room is not sound proof.
Room is big and clean. Subway station is across the street. This area has a lot of restaurants and bakeries. We enjoyed our meals every day.

Good, but check your final bill before you pay.

The hotel is good, as can be expected of Best Western. The room was very small, for the price we paid. There was a nice coffee maker with pods, and a fridge. Bathroom was clean and functional. The area was good, close to a subway station, lots of stores and restaurants.
While checking out, they wanted to charge us more than we had booked for. I made a comment about it, they checked it again and said that they made a mistake: they had counted 3 adults instead of 2 adults and one child. I'm not sure if it was a mistake or they just tried it out. I have had this practice in some other hotels as well and made it a habit to always check the bill before I pay it. It doesn't leave a nice feeling. For the rest it was a good stay, good hotel.

You could not ask for a better location...EXCELLENT... We were able to utilize the metro to and from the airport, disneyland, and all the other great highlights. We bought a 5 day metro pass at the airport and away we went...no stress with getting around the city from this hotel location...even with our luggage to and from the airport. The entrance to the metro \"maze\" was just outside the door and across the street...super easy to reach. Do remember rooms in Europe are much smaller then what we are used to here in North America, so the living space was small but we spent very little time in the room. There was a small fridge that we could put our groceries and drinks in which was great and many mini markets, grocery stores and bakeries within easy walking distance. The window opened so we could stick our head out and enjoy the city...deck was not large enough to stand on, but it was nice to be able to look out rather then just a window. The bed was super comfy, as were the pillows. As noted in other reviews there are no face cloths in the rooms, but front desk with provide you with some packaged facecloth mitts if you go downstairs and ask. Super small elevator, but who cares, it got us up to the 4th floor if we didn't take the tiny spiral staircase. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS HOTEL....WE WERE VERY HAPPY WITH ALL IT OFFERED OUR FAMILY
Please remember Paris is a very expensive city, so arrange to get that gold brick and second mortgage on the house before you visit..lol..

It is a great hotel, location was superb!!!! right across the metro station. Elevator was too small, two person without luggage, but overall, a great stay!!
