The hotel is very clean and the staff were very friendly. There were restaurants and a small grocery store very close by. The only downside we had is that the AC did not work the greatest so the room would get hot and stuffy. We did open the window at times when it was cooler outside but couldn’t leave open overnight as there was some street noise that would wake us. I also found the beds very firm and my old hips and back were not always happy in the morning. The mattresses also tended to slide off the bed so we were constantly adjusting them. The metro was about a 15 minute walk. Overall good value for the price.

The staff were lovely and helpful. The air conditioner was not as cool as we thought it could be. Had it on the lowest temperature (19C) and high fan but still couldn’t feel the air movement. So during the hot spell the room didn’t cool down a lot.

OK Ibis but have experienced better

We love staying at Ibis, but this location has unfortunately been our least favorite to date.

As usual Ibis offers a great breakfast spread and it's always the highlight of our stays. It's consistently good with friendly and helpful staff! However, in this location there were a few mornings where the breakfast hall was bursting at the seams. It seemed a large group travelling together were all having breakfast at the exact same time.

The rooms at this location are extremely small. But with time you'll get used to it. The shower is not accessible as it's raised by about a foot. Not ideal for anyone with mobility issues or the elderly.

There is air conditioning, and even when it works, as in our case it often stopped working and needed to be reset - once through the main panel by the hotel management, the bed can feel hot and stifling. My advice, stay at this hotel outside of summer heat periods.

If you think the rooms are small, you'll be surprised by the size of the singular extra small elevator. It can fit 1 adult and 1 large suitcase or 2 adults with 1 or 2 small carry-on. Expect to take the stairs often. When you get to your floor you'll be immediately greeted by your hotel room door. It's that small.

Despite all its quirks we enjoyed our stay and the neighbourhood. The vibe was great with many delicious restaurant options nearby. Also the metro and RER are all conveniently located nearby.

Good for a short stay

For people flying in from the US, this hotel works great as the check in time is noon, so you can come right from the airport and drop your bags. The staff was great and our room had been recently renovated. Rooms are very small and, for me, would only work for a short stay. But the neighborhood is great and is close to Gare Montparnasse.

This was a nice small hotel that will suffice for a budget friendly trip to Paris where you will spend most of your time outside than in your hotel room. The rooms are small, but they do provide everything you need. The elevator is tiny, only two people with their luggage could really go up or down at any given moment, but that's not a big issue other than when you get there and when you leave. The day we got there we had 109 degree weather and the a/c was not strong enough or sufficient to cool our room, but that was the case everywhere in Paris not just there. The breakfast was really good and the eating area had a nice atmosphere. Helpful staff who spoke some English, their English was better than my French, we made it work and they were patient with us. We're very grateful! I would definitely recommend it and would stay there again.

Great staff at the reception. Most cleaning ladies smile and say bonjour or if you do to them first they reciprocate; but one cleaning lady in particular had a scowl on her face, when I smiled at her and said bonjour she ignored me. I understand we all have personal and family issues in our lives, but at work we need to control our emotions and be amicable.

The shower drained so slowly that it would flood the floor if I didn’t turn it off to let it drain while showering!

I did not have these issues two years ago, that’s why I came back to the same hotel! I love the location, room cleanliness, restaurants around and it’s a really quiet and calm area :)

Checkin black lady with African accent in English was giving me a bit of altitude-just slightly. Quickly correcting us that we should not “called euros currency as dollars.” Could be a bit friendly especially when you have been traveling a long trip to get to Paris.

Everything was easy and quick, from check in to check out. The rooms are small, typical for an ibis. They have all the amenities and are clean. Not much room to store luggage. I would definitely stay there again. It’s close to the metro and yet in a very quiet neighborhood.

Room was just a little small and one of the staff members was a tad bit obnoxious, but other than that it was pretty decent. And it wasn't insanely expensive! Oh also they did take one our sheets from the bed and didn't replace it so we had to go get one but obviously nothing major at all. We also really enjoyed the larger safes in the room because we had some more expensive things that we didn't always want to carry around with us while were visiting.

The Ibis in Montparnasse is in south of Paris, away from all the busy tourist areas. Easily access all landmarks by close by metro stations; easy to buy metro tickets at machine (buy extras as some rare stations may only have entry only with no ticket sales!). Great reataurants in area: sushi, Thai, Libyan, crêpes, etc. Great shopping close by too on major roads. Ibis has decent breakfast option, self serve buffet: fruit, yogurt, boiled eggs, croissants, bread, sliced meats, cheese, juice, coffee, tea. I felt safe in hotel and area surrounding it. Very clean rooms and bathroom, very cozy bed and pillows. Hotel was perfect for somewhere to sleep within easy access to all sites of Paris. Very helpful staff, they printed my last minute purchased Louvre ticket. Tip: buy all tickets in advance to avoid line ups, especially the Catacombs, crazy line-up wait time!! (Aug/17)

We chose this hotel for our last night of our trip as a last minute reservation, due to our pleasant experience with other ibis hotels. But this branch of ibis did not meet our expectations. The hotel was not dirty or uncomfortable, but it was very weary. The bed was comfortable. The staff were cold and distant (even by Paris standards) and looked very unhappy.

-Close to the main attactions. It took us 10mins from Eiffen tower to the hotel in a Taxi, which cost us 10EUR.
-They have parking.
-Staff was very nice
-Lots of restaurant and grocery stores near by.

-No air condition in any room of the hotel, just heating due to old building structure.
-Parking space is really small, only can fit compact to mid size cars.
-Internet was not really fast.
-Small elevators

Came to watch the tour de france, the hotel was really well located, 10 minute ride to the Eiffel Tower, 5 minutes to Notre Dame, small courtyard to lock bike in and friendly staff. The room was very small but as I was by myself, it was fine. Clean and modern bathroom and free wifi. Served me very well and good breakfast.

First and last time in a Ibis hotel. I booked a smoking room 15 days before my arrival and when i did the checking the employe gave me another room (no smoker) and it was like this according him that's it he said. About the room it was noisy ( they did repair and remodeling in the hotel) without a notice !! The room was tiny tiny trust me no place to move at all and iwas alone. I could here the occupants of the rooms close by...... It was amazing to see how the people could come in the hotel at night like a public place....... The last day i had the,suprise .... The elevetor wasn't in use so with my luggage i get down (4 stairs) to the lobby. As i said i won't go back to this place !

Room tiny, virtually impossible to move around in and with nowhere to put bags. Our room was next to the lift which meant we were woken by it whirring into action every time someone used it (all the time). Had virtually no sleep all weekend. Walls are paper thin and laminate floors meant we could hear everything going on in the next room - phone calls, hacking coughs. No tea and coffee facilities in the room. Only 2, very thin, very old bath towels. No hand towels.

Thin walls, tiny rooms even by Paris standards

We had a room right next to the elevator - and could hear every noise emanating from the interior of the elevator! There was enough room for the bed in our room and nothing much else. Hotel staff were at least polite. The neighborhood is not much, but it is only a 5 minute walk to Mouton Duvernet or a little more to Denfert Rochereau.

Accueil professionnel et courtois.

Attendez-vous au minimum de surface au niveau de la chambre.
Juste pour dormir cela suffira. Pour un séjour repos, la chambre allouée ne suffit pas en terme de surface.

Problème de chauffage sur la première nuit qui a été résolu avec un convecteur d'appoint, mais le système n'a pas été réparé durant le séjour qui a été de 4 jours (Résa hôtels.com collée avec une résa ALL.com)
La chambre qui est prête à notre arrivée, est mise à disposition avant l'horaire annoncée : Merci pour ce geste commercial.

Petit déjeuner top avec un grand choix de produits.

Chambre dans le petit pavillon vraiment exiguë, tellement peu de prises électriques qu’un cube multiprise est posé sur le bureau. Une serviette sur deux changée quotidiennement. Carte magnétique quotidiennement désactivée. Très peu d’intimité à travers les murs. Literie de bonne qualité par ailleurs. Petit déjeuner très correct également. Si vous avez un rendez-vous dans le quartier !

Parfait pour un séjour d'affaires en solo. La taille de la chambre ne permet pas de stocker de grands bagages. Le support de la douche était cassé et visiblement ce n'est pas d'aujourd'hui, le joint de la porte de la douche est dans un état qui permet d'humidifier le sol de la salle de bain assez généreusement et il est difficile d'arriver à compter le nombre de traces de moisissures dans les joints de carrelage ainsi qu'au plafond, tout simplement parce qu'il y en a vraiment beaucoup. Et l'excuse de l'eco responsabilité pour ne pas fournir de plateaux pour le petit déjeuner (pas pratique du tout ) me paraît vraiment de mauvaise foi !

A experiência no geral foi muito boa. O quarto em si era bem estreito mas tinha tudo que precisávamos e era bastante confortável (cama e banheiros excelentes). A equipe toda do hotel era extremamente atenciosa e simpática, um dos pontos mais altos pra me fazer querer voltar à me hospedar lá. A localização do hotel também era muito boa, contando com acesso à metrô e trens bem perto (cerca de 600m a 800m).

La chambre est tres bien, lumineuse et bien renové
L'accueil a ete très bon, j'ai voulu prendre un café en arrivant a l'hôtel, finalement on nous l'a offert ! Nous sommes arrivés en avance du coup notre chambre n'etant pas prete logique et du coup on a donne une autre chambre jai trouve l'attention tres bienveillante
Par contre seul bemol le petit déjeuner un brouhaha infernal, un buffet style cafétéria mais sans plateau adequate
Le buffet est cela dit tres diversifié autant chaud et froid
Inciter les clients a débarrasser leur table serait un plus meme si l'éducation devrait suffir !

Établissement propre et bien agencé avec ses multiples espaces. Positionnement pratique quand on veut être au calme tout en n'étant pas trop éloigné du centre névralgique. Un personnel chaleureux et souriant à l'accueil, l'après-midi. Il vaut mieux prévenir en cas d'avance sur votre arrivée. Excellent petit déjeuner! Chambre propre et literie confortable, seul bémol sur les remontées d'odeurs nauséabondes dans les sanitaires au 1er, j'imagine.

Lüftung lies sich nicht abschalten, dafür war die Türe sehr dicht man hört nichts im Zimmer. Die Klimaanlage hat nur geheizt, deshalb abgeschaltet. Diese hat dan trotzden weiter gerattert. Personal war sehr freundlich.

Où est la 3eme étoile ?

Pour un 3* je m'attendais à beaucoup mieux, lit inconfortable,pas de WiFi,(pas d'info pour le code), odeurs de moisissures dans la salle d'eau. Heureusement que c'était que pour 1 nuit.

Une réception ou l'on fait de l'enregistrement plutôt que de l'accueil. On oublie de vous proposer la facture...
Vous profitez des paroles et bruit des robinets des voisins.
Vous avez le choix entre le froid ou le bruit du chauffage.
La salle de bain est vétuste et limite sale ( mobilier, joints...)
Vous aurez compris, j'ai détesté !

Bon emplacement , proche de la gare à pieds proche des théâtres et magasins .
Dans une petite rue calme , très bon petit déjeuner et copieux grand choix et qualitatif.
Personnel agréable , jour et nuit .
Bagagerie .
Chambre petite mais fonctionnelle et propre Idem pour la salle d'eau .

A deux pas de Bobino.

Très bon hôtel prêt de la Gare Montparnasse et des théâtres rue de la Gaité.
Juste une remarque concernant le chauffage, svp pensez à allumer les chauffages avant l’arrivée de vos clients. Merci.

Excelente opción en Paris.

Fue muy agradable. La gente de la recepción siempre muy amables y con disposición de ayudarnos en todo lo que necesitamos. El lugar me pareció muy limpio. La zona muy segura, tranquila y bien comunicada. Varios lugares alrededor para salir a cenar. En especial me agradó estar cerca del metro y de la estación de trenes Montparnasse. Muy recomendable.
