The reception is really lovely but the unfortunately the rooms massively let it down. They have clearly not been decorated in a very long time and the bathroom tiles had lots of black mould all around them. It's a shame as the location is great and the reception area is lovely and newly decorated, I hope the rooms are next for a makeover!

Nous sommes arrives vendredi soir dans la canicule... nous arrivons à la chambre, il fait 27 degré celcius... alors je demande a changer de chambre, aucune chambre navait, cetait l'air climatiser, incapable de nous trouver une autre chambre, alors je demande a etre remboursé car cetait ecrit avec air climatiser. La personne responsable, nous dit que cetait impossible de faire un remboursement sur place.. elle ma dit denvoyer un courriel et que quelques jours plutard je devrais avoir des nouvelles, cetait quand même 600$ dollars canadiens pour 2 nuits... jai peur de ne pas etre remboursé..

[Not the hotel's fault. but the sidewalk to get there from Gare Montparnasse was totally torn up, making luggage hauling very difficult] We had a couple of small glitches that didn't ruin the stay. The hotel is convenient, comfortable, and has a wonderful breakfast buffet. The staff were all polite and helpful. My only negative is that I can't believe such a modern building does not have USB ports in the rooms at the work stations.

Place was nice, great staff. One block away from Metro station. Food and shopping close by.
Hotel breakfast was really good. Only bad thing was that, the restaurant was closed for dinner Friday Saturday and Sunday. After touring the city all we wanted was a nice dinner in the Hotel.
There was lots of options to walk to but it was too cold.
Overall, hotel was great!

I have stayed here in the past and always enjoyed it. I picked it because of the location and what I noticed this time after a few years is the high degree of cleanliness in the rooms. The bathroom is spotless which is very noticeable. There is also a good choice of breakfast menus. Also there is a bus stop just a few steps from the front door and it's on a beautiful square with a view of the Eiffel Tower. My only complaint this time is a temporary situation where the street down to Gare Montparnasse is under construction and very dusty and bumpy. I would expect this work to be finished by the summer which will make a pleasant and convenient five minute walk to the station again. On the Metro it's a direct line to the Eiffel Tower and L'Arc de Triomphe and other points on the river and in the Northern area of the City. I will stay here again on my next trip as it is also very reasonably priced. It is a very popular hotel and used by various airline staff on their stopovers. Nearby RER station Denfert-Rochereau has a direct train to CDG Airport and is a ten minute walk or a 5 minute bus ride from the hotel. The famous art deco restaurant La Coupole on Blvd Montparnasse is walking distance but reservations are needed because of its popularity. If your budget allows choose a front room with a view of the Eiffel Tower and watch it light up spectacularly every evening at 7pm with sparkling lights.

If you are a woman staying in this hotel be prepared for every male staff member to be unwelcoming and rude. Day 1 the manager on staff was storming back and forth and physically bumped into myself and my friend. No apology. The man who runs the buffet at the door was rude every single morning. Every interaction with a man was unpleasant. The female staff was the opposite- friendly, warm, patient and extremely welcoming.

The room was very large for a hotel in Paris, and an easy walk from Gare de Montparnasse. We reserved a room with a view of the Eiffel Tower, but the outside of the window was so dirty that we felt as though we were viewing it through a dirty cloud. There was plenty of hot water with good pressure, but the tub was slow to drain, the fixture to switch between shower and tub was in disrepair, and the mechanism to drain the bath was completely broken. Also one of the two push buttons for the toilet didn’t function. The bed was comfortable and the towels were great. The breakfast was good, but the room was far too small for the number of guests, and despite very attentive and busy staff, numerous items, such as fresh fruit, ran out. A request made at the front desk for a second pillow wasn’t filled the first night, but a second request on the second night worked.

Construction going on right at the door and in surrounding areas. Makes taxi pickup and drop-off cry inconvenient. Needs updating inside. Broken tiles in bathroom. Twice my key was disactivated which i didn't learn until i tried and had to go down to reception and wait to be assisted. Doesn't seem like an issue until you have a child that was already eager to use the restroom. Under staffed. Bar closed at odd hours. Often no one who spoke English, Spanish or Portuguese for room service. Carpets are stained but beds were made &fresh towels stocked daily. Some staff great. Some staff terrible. Concierge very welcoming, inviting, and helpful in using metro. Patio restaurant supervisor very rude and aggressive. After checkout, the nice receptionist invited us to sit in the patio to wait for our cab since the lobby was busy. The Indian man from the restaurant told us to leave if we didn't order something. Funny thing is that no one asked for an order. I suggested giving me a menu so i COULD order. I actually wanted some drinks- juice, coffee, water. He was displeased but obliged. Upon arrival of our cab, we pickup up our remaining drinks but were informed we couldn't take them in the glass bottles. I paid 16 euros for3 drinks. 2 were on their original glass bottles and because of this, was denied taking them. I wasn't offered a cup to take away... nothing but an almost offended, bewildered, and annoyed look from the server. Poor way to end our stay. For price, you'd expect more.

Property and staff are great. We had several issues, wherein they gave away our room before we arrived. When we got another room, we opened the door and there were people inside! On 2nd night they apparently gave our room to someone because they opened our door! Fyi the ac is only on during the \"summer\". Some rooms dont have windows that open, its hot!

Front desk staff was generally not friendly, not responsive and not helpful.

Housekeeping was skipping my room for cleaning for the entire 8 days of my stay. I had to call every single day asking them to clean my room. No corrective action was taken as to why my room was being skipped on daily basis.

There was no tissue paper in my room. When I asked for some at the front desk, I was told the entire hotel was out.

This hotel was taken over by Mercure recently and since then, overall quality has diminished due to apparent cost cutting. Many items were removed from the breakfast buffet after the change.

It was not a good experience. The room was hot, AC or fan didn’t work, called the lobby and told us it wasn’t “available “yet. Told us to open the window, window didn’t open. The fan in bathroom didn’t work so the room was super hot , steamed and always hot. Had to open door to hallway to get some air. So disappointed on this hotel, lack of care, concern or help. Skip breakfast , expensive and low quality food and bad service .

Disappointing, firstly they had no booking for us. We had to prove we’d booked with Hotels .com then they said there were no rooms, then had to check with hotels. Com then told us hotel had been acquired by Accor in April but due to computer problem all bookings were lost. No one at the hotel appeared to take responsibility. We saw about 5 people, had to repeat out situation numerous times. After about 30 minutes they gave us a room with no apologies for delay etc.
The hotel is very shabby, looks dirty and rooms dilapidated with broken tiles in bathroom and sparse ammenities.
All this after a 30 hour flight.
Then on booking out they charged us for breakfast which was not ordered, when we queried that the person on checkout said it was ‘there you just didn’t eat it’

When I told people we would be visiting Paris, everyone said the people there would be rude to us Americans. Not at all. The staff at this hotel went above and beyond --Francois in particular spent the better part of an hour on the phone talking to people at the airport about our missing luggage. The breakfast buffet was great and the rooms very nice.

Have previously stayed here as a couple, and always found the rooms to be adequate.On this occasion I was a solo traveller, and although I paid for a 'standard double room', I was allocated a dark and dingy cramped room on the first floor. The room would have been poorly lit if all the lights were working, but the lights on one side of the bed did not work. The dark brown unappealing paintwork was chipped, the carpets worn and thin. The staff at check-in and check-out were helpful and pleasant, and the bed was clean and comfortable. Would not recommend on the basis of this visit.

A convenient hotel to Gare Montparnasse but it seems to cater mostly to business groups. Check in was slow due to the crowds and my first room hadn’t been cleaned so we had to switch to a different room. Both restaurants were overtaken by large, rather inconsiderate business groups so they were noisy and raucous. The quiet dinner I was hoping for wasn’t though the food was good (if not as warm as it should have been). Staff are gracious seeming to do the best they can.

Would I stay here again? Probably. The convenient location and “guts” of the hotel are all good. It was just one of those days.

I enjoyed my stay in Concorde Montparnasse Hotel, its perfect location allows quick and easy access to Paris' best places either on foot or by public transportation ( when not on strike!!!). Terrible Customer Service, Stay out of this hotel

It was terrible experience. We stayed in this hotel on August, 19 and 20, 2019. We had booked adjoining room for family which said sleeps 4 people, up to 3 children but when we went for check in we were told that there are no such rooms booked and we were asked to contact Hotels.com as its their (Hotel.com) fault. I gave the front desk Rep (Mr. Alexandar) our booking confirmation which clearly said that it was for 2 adjoining rooms but he didn't listen. I was tired as it was almost 11PM so we agreed to sleep in whatever room was given to us. We got room 352 and 355. We got a one bed and one roller bed per room for one family. The roller bed was very uncomfortable. When I asked for extra pillow Mr.Alexandar said \"I don't think I can give you one\". Then I was very upset and finally he gave one. Next day, I called hotels.com then they talked to HotelMontparnasse and finally the hotel agreed to give us the room we booked for and we got Rooms: 646,647 and 745,747 which were adjoining rooms as per what we had booked for.
When I came back to US, I talked to Hotels.com again and explained and hotels.com called the hotel Montparnasse and asked to give the credit for the first night but they refused to give any credit but Hotels.com gave me the credit for first night. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. The staffs are not friendly. When I talked to next day, Mr. Thomas, he also tried his best to blame Hotels.com and also blamed that perhaps I didn't show my reservation.

Great location, entrance very dangerous, with a very small descending ramp in marble very slippery when raining. We got 2 rooms, one was smelling very very bad and they gave us another room.
Rooms are very small for a 4 star hotel.
At the check out, they tried to charge me again one room already paid. Staff was very rude and after one answered call at taxi they send us walking full of bags 10 min down the street to find one that wasn't there. Very disappointed.

Basic but served a purpose

Chose this hotel because its 5 min walk from the Mont Parnasse train station which is a convenient starting point for the trip to St Michel in Normandy. There are numerous shops and restaurants in the area so lots of opportunity to eat out and conveniently travel to other parts of Paris. The hotel itself however is situated in a slightly quieter area so doesnt suffer from traffic noise. So in terms of location I’d give the hotel 10/10.

The hotel itself is very basic. Dated decor and basic restaurant menu. Otherwise everything worked okay including wi-fi. The staff were nice and helpful. So as a base it served its purpose but lacks in comfort. One nice idea would be to allow guests to stream their tablets / phones to the smart tv’s in the rooms so they can have their own choice of programming as all the channels were in French. All they need to do is set the TVs up to be on the same wifi network as the ones the guests are on.

Best hotel of our European vacation

This hotel was the best of 3 weeks traveling in Italy and France. The comfort of the room was excellent: bed, pillows, temperature, bathroom nice. It is well located for transportation with bus and trains within one block and restaurants across the streets. A great view of Eiffel Tower especially lit up at night caps it off. Most hotel staff were friendly, especially Mohammed, who was helpful with a coupe of situations for us.

We enjoyed our stay there, nice hotel, good location , many restaurants and couple small grocery stores near by. It is close to the underground station and Orly airport shuttle bus.
we used taxi, fees are reasonable.
We saw pilots and flight attendants stay there too.
The rooms are clean, beds are comfortable.
Our kids had trouble with their room key, it didn’t work for them one time, we had to ask the receptionist to re-key. We will stay there again next time when we visit.

From the very beginning, the hotel staff made me feel somewhat insecure about the place. Sure enough, when we left, they insisted on making me pay for the rooms, when we had already paid on Expedia in advance, so I had to double pay.

I had to complain through Expedia to get the refund, which I received after quite a lot of to-and-fro-ing by Expedia.

Based on how this went, I feel that this was an intentional scam by the hotel and they made it intentionally difficult to resolve, hoping to just pocket the $.

The location is fine if you’re using Gare Montparnasse, but not great. The rooms are fine, but nothing to write home about.

This is an OK hotel at best, not charming by any means. Rooms very small. For some reason in the middle of the night the AC blower completely shut off and would not restart for a while. Why? Entrance pretty smelly with you know what, being Paris (cig smoke, you were thinking something else?). Breakfast buffet was good. Not the hotel's fault, but worst feature is location. Yuk! Far south of most interesting sites. Fronted by enormous traffic circle with concrete mound in the middle. Metro a bit of a hike, but RR station adjacent.

There were signs of some home-handyman level repairs in the bathroom. Bits of veneer were missing from various pieces of furniture in the bed/sitting room.
TV reception was woeful - picture and sound kept breaking up.

Happy and memorable.

The hotel itself is lovely and clean. The rooms clean, spacious and most of all comfortable. The service we received was really good and impressive.
The location of the hotel is also not that bad either.
The only issues we found was that the parking is quite hidden due to lack of signage and that the breakfast was lukewarm.
Other then that, I highly recommend going here for a short stay.

There was something about programming of the elvators that was wrong. They often took you to the wrong floor or just stopped anywhere without opening doors, leaving you to figure how to get the doors open. This was not random, it happened more than 50% of the time.

Water was not very hot in the morning.

Staff was helpful and kind but seem disorganized

Breakfast was very expensive 19 Euro and turned out to be rather ordinary

The location is excellent. The service and comfort of the room was very good. Many hotels of this size have a computer with printer available to guests in a public area. This would have been useful.

Friendly staff, standard room clean and comfy bed, breakfast was good lots of variety to choose from. Very close to shops and effile tower, you can get around by walking.. would recommend staying here can't wait to take my children

December 2018 Stay

Hotel is located next to Gare Montparnasse train station and is well served by transportation. Rooms are small but not too different from typical Parisian hotels. Breakfast (included) was outstanding.
