The apartment was spacious for the three of us. Everything was clean and the sleeper sofa was comfortable. The front desk staff were multilingual and very welcoming. The espresso/cappuccino/ coffee machine in the lobby was very convenient and offered many options. I was able to do a load of laundry at 10 pm the night before we checked out. I would happily return to this hotel/apartment

We stayed in a studio room for 16 days. It was a wonderful place and we would stay there again. The rooms are clean and efficiently set up. There is a Food Society across the street, an LIDL down the block, the trains are close, and lots of restaurants nearby. The hotel offers 24 hr coffees, teas, and water for your bottle. A washer/dryer are available for a fee and using their app. Electricity turns on when you put your room key into the slot inside the door..we appreciated the conservation. The rooms aren't cleaned daily but if extra towels, toilet paper, or soap is needed, a closet on the main floor has extras for use.
The first part of our stay was a room facing the street. I did find it to be noisy and too warm...we are Canadian so appreciate fresh air and a cooler room. We asked for a change in room to the other side of the building and they accomplished us. What an absolute paradise!! Our room overlooked the courtyard with trees, birds, other foliage, and was much cooler. The view of old buildings was wonderful!

The hotel can't help the street view or noise but if you have a chance to request a courtyard room, get it!

Clean and unpretentious apartment hotel at a reasonable price for Paris. Lidl a few doors away and good boulangerie close to Montparnasse tower. Hotel staff pleasant and helpful. Only negatives were lack of tea or coffee sachets in room, though coffee machine beside reception, and bashed my head a couple of times on sticking out cooker hood, but you soon learn!!

Studio apartment hotel near Gare Montparnasse in Paris. Besides the train station, 4 subway stations/lines within 5 minutes walk. Basic but functional, with what you need for a kitchenette on a short stay. With the kitchen and small dining table, room size was good for Paris. Strong shower. Wifi was solid too.

The kitchen in the studio unit comes with the loss of space everywhere else in the room. It’s VERY tight. The location across from the train station is highly convenient. It’s also very busy. The busyness drops off about three blocks east of the hotel; areas south of hotel are a nice walk,too.

This is a fine place to stay in Paris. Steps from the Gare Montparnasse which just gives you easy access to the whole city. It is in a nice neighbourhood, lots of shopping and food options. And while far enough away from the bustle it still has a great vibe. The rooms are SMALL but functional and clean and the kitchenette is super handy. Staff is friendly and helpful!

Lots of eatery option in and around the area.

Laundromat is available at basement but need app or an account to pay/use it. Free hot beverage but have to bring your own mugs from the room, so hot chocolate and coffee each morn & evening was a bonus.

Great Hotel and service

Location is very strategic, near the taxi stand, metro, boulangerie, Montparnasse tower and laboratory for PCR testing.

However, since its also located near bars and restos, expect to hear loud noises till 2am.

The hotel staff are very courteous, accommodating and delightful but the amazing ladies are wonderful, Ms.Divine and the other young woman ( I am so sorry, I forgot her name. They are very kind, helpful and made everything easy for my stay.

Nice hotel very close to the Montparnasse train and metro stations. The room was small but clean and comfortable. And it was easy walking distance to many restaurants, cafes and bars. The only thing that marred my visit was a fire in the late evening. Another guest may have been cooking something and the floor filled with smoke and the alarm went off. We had to wait outside until the fire department came in and gave the okay. But it was freezing cold outside and I had no winter coat on. Other than that I thought this was a good low cost option in Paris and would stay here again. The staff were friendly and smiled while I stumbled through my horrible French.

Superb location

Very friendly staff. Superb location as it is next to a metro to get you to the busy, hectic central Paris area. Montparnasse is so special .... you can feel the great American personalities and authors of the period .... Hemingway, Fitzgerald, etc., .... I prefer the left bank anyway ... nice pleasant ten minute walk to Luxembourg Gardens (my favorite place in Paris to just sit and absorb the beauty of it all). I do feel badly for Paris in general, you see more poor people on the street than previous years, decades.

Misleading Expedia listing, horribly tiny room

We didn’t stay at this hotel - we cancelled and went elsewhere. Ad in Expedia was misleading -this room had no real bed, it was a sofa bed that was pretty bad - no way we’d last a week on it. The room was so tiny that if you pulled out the bed there wouldn’t be any room left! Room was also supposed to be fully equipped kitchenette including dishwasher - but this one didn’t have a dishwasher.

We’ve stayed at other Citadine hotels so we were really disappointed in this one. Also location isn’t very convenient or nice - just around the corner was a sketchy street with sex shops.

i wouldn’t stay at this Citadine - I would highly recommend Citadine Les Halles or St Germaine

My first time here. Convenient. No frills room. Very basic. So basic, it's more like an appartement concept than a hotel. No cleaning done or beds made whilst you are there...unless you request it and you pay for it too. So, make note of this. Upon booking, description mentioned room with bed and table. No table. For the price, a bit of a pity. When I got to my room, around 9:30p, a room 5 doors down started screaming match. I thought it was next door. That went on a good 20min until I had just had it. Then, it finally got quiet. Just not a great way to start the stay after a strenuous day. There is a gym, but as basic as can be. Served its purpose though. Bed, however, was very comfy and a/c was great. Made for good nights, especially on the top floor with 34C (low 90s) temps. That's worth something. Front desk staff was especially nice. Ismaël, one of the employees, could not have been more helpful, along with his colleagues. Otherwise, the price was too high for what I got for it.

Helpful front desk staff. Great location. Apartment was clean, supplied with cooking equipment essentials and fridge so you could shop and eat in if desired. Breakfast is 13 Euros extra. Close by restaurants, a Monoprix supermarket and patisseries for food choices. Next to Metro stop Gaite and a few blocks from other lines for easy transportation. Can walk through beautiful Luxembourg Gardens and over to Seine River attractions within an hour.

stayed in studio apartment - had stove fridge kettle but NO CUPS!!! Also was in disabled room (didn't know til I opened the door) - so as shower was wheelchair accessible, water went everywhere on the floor. Oh well - at least a mop was provided. Wifi was good. Great location for early train.

We arrived late from the nearby train station and stood outside in the cold for about 5 minutes until the desk clerk let us in, because the door to the building is locked and she was checking in another guest. She was pleasant and spoke English well. We went upstairs to find the bed was a hide-a-bed. The room was clean, the bath was nice, and the view was great from the 6th floor. In the morning we needed to run a load of laundry and it was 9 euros for washing and drying. The continental breakfast was 13 euros a person, on top of our room charge. I left a \"Do not disturb\" sign on the door so my wife could sleep longer. They knocked twice, said \"Room service\", and came in anyway. We checked out that morning. All in all we paid about $190 for this room and this was not a $190/ night hotel, in my opinion. I have stayed in many hotels around the world and this is the first negative review I have written of any of them.

- booked this amazing place on a last minute urgently as we were staying elsewhere earlier as that place was too quiet & creepy, this place was so much different so lively
- room was just nice & comfy but didnt expected it was a sofa bed. no issues about that as long as wife was okay
- next to Gaite Metro station so was quite convenient to go around Paris

Was equipped with essentials for kitchen (towel, sponge etc.), bakeries and restaurants close by. Our 2 teenage daughters slept on the pullout sofa bed, which was the most comfortable pullout sofa we have ever had!

Rooms are way too small.

While the pull out bed was surprisingly comfortable the studio we had was way too small. Breakfast was additional and not clearly indicated on check-in. Good location if you need to be near the Montparnasse station.

Great Paris hotel at an excellent price

The well equipped kitchen was especially appreciated, permitting us to eat a self-cooked lunch and take in a good restaurant for dinner. The easy walk to Montparnasse (even with heavy suitcases) was a real plus for both Metro and TGV as we had arrived from California.

At end of long plane trip from Sydney, it was nice to be greeted by a friendly manager who aimed to please. He gave us a good tip for lunch nearby, Chez Albert across the road from the Montparnasse Cemetry. Food from south west of France, followed by a visit to grave of Jean-Paul Sartre. No shortage of food options nearby. We opted for a studio which was quite tiny and so next time we would go for something bigger. We were catching TGV to Biarritz next morning and it was an easy walk with our bags to Gare Montparnasse.

Good trip but very disappointed in the room size. We expected larger from the site pictures. Heating was broken the first night so we were cold but they fixed that the next day. Good shower but very thin towels. A very average citadines compared with what we have visited in other European cities. Would not stay here again.

Prime location, modern design and outstanding service. However, bedrooms are quite small: not enough space for hanging coats; a desk instead of a mini round table would be appreciated, as well as an electric outlet smartly placed next to the coffee machine (instead of the above shelf... where the machine does not fit). This said, various amenities - including a lovely designed garden - set the Citadines above surrounding competition.

Convenient comfortable choice steps from the train

This is a lovely place that is ideal for a multi-day or extended stay. I was only there for one night due to it's approximate to the Gare du Montpatnasse, which is steps away and I had an early train to catch. While it suited my purposes perfectly, it may not be the ideal location for someone who hasn't seen the whole of Paris before. That said, Staff was friendly, room was just right for me and it is pretty easy to walk a few minutes to the Cimiterie du Montpatnasse, the catacombs and others Parisian wonders.

Very convenient location, right across the street from the train station and the bus stop of Les Cars from the CDG. There is supermarket next to the hotel, 5 minutes walking, making it more convenient to get anything you need. There are numerous restaurants around the hotel. One of the best ways to get to the hotel from the CDG airport is Les Cars, route #4. Roundtrip ticket is cheaper than 1 way. You have to dispose your trash daily yourself. Bed is small. Sam as the room. Overall pleasant stay for convenience.

Three stays in Three weeks

I stayed here on three separate occasions during the three weeks I was on vacation. Each time I stayed in a different room so I really know this place. Every room was clean and ready for my stay. I liked the idea of how the sofas turn into beds. As a single it was perfect as far as space. I like making my own breakfast and didn't even need to bring anything but my food and tea as their kitchen is set with cooking equipment, plates etc. You can eat at the little table though I used it for writing. There is a supermarket nearby to buy what you want and a little late night market too. For transportation you are across from the Montparnasse train station and metro. This last time I even discovered it is by the stop where the Air France bus will take you to the Charles de Gaulle or Orly airport. A bit more expensive than the RER but with baggage much easier. It isn't a beautiful view but the street behind the hotel, Gaite, has lots of restaurants and a super gelato place. I have already recommended this hotel to someone who will be going to Paris this month and would certainly stay here again.

I don't mind the fold out bed, but it was not exactly the best quality nor were the sheets, which seemed quite cheap.
The breakfast could have had a bit more choice.
Also, the rooms were not very sound proof. I could clearly hear the person snoring in the room next to mine.

What is nice is to actually have a small table to sit at.

The hotel is in a very good location, close to the train station and a few tourist attractions. The room was very small, wernt expecting the hotel to be more like serviced apartments. No room service or cleaning, good if you are only planning to stay a day or two.

Good and Bad

Great location near Metro and Airfrance bus drops off across road. Room comfortable. Disappointed that the 2 single beds were a fold out singles from a sofa. Also I did not se in my reviews that the room was not serviced daily. Staff helpful and plenty of places to eat nearby.2 supermarkets within 100 yards,

Citadine Hotel near Gare Montparnasse

Our room was clean, efficient, equipped with a fridge, stove and all other necessities. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The location is ideal being just a few minutes walk from Gare Montparnasse, plus it's a safe and quiet area. You can walk just down the street for a variety of restaurants, patisseries, the metro and more. I highly recommend this location and would definitely stay there again.
