The personal at the breakfast area were great. The breakfast buffet was good.
The hotel itself is not what we expected, the pictures when making the reservation didn’t match what the hotel brings. Rooms are tiny. The shower had mold.
I will not recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room is clean but old. It was not available when we arrived in the morning for check-in. Staffs are friendly. Hotel has a mini elevator that can only fit one person with a small luggage. It is very close to Paris Montparnasse Train Station.

My first night I was woken from sleep due to running water in the shower. I went to check it and discovered water pouring from the ceiling vent as the person in the level above showered!! What makes this worse was that this is an issue staff already knew about!

I was transferred 3 different rooms during my staff here and all four of the bathrooms had mold (see picture). One of the bathroom doors couldn't close properly (unhygienic). And ended up in a smaller bed than what I paid for (by this stag too tired to deal with unhelpful staff).

Not a single apology or similar. Tried to get refund 8/11th but was passed off by dismissive front desk woman to Alba the assistant manager who wasn't available.

All the rooms here have thin walls (I can hear the neighbouring rooms occupants yawn and talk), sounds from the busy street at all hours, the showers are tiny & difficult to manage - I am slim & agile so must be very difficult for someone larger or less mobile.

Do yourself a favour and skip this hotel.

Room size is not what I expected and the lift too. Staffs are friendly and helpful. Location is excellent since our train to and from Lourdes at Gare Montparnasse is just a walk away. Lots of restaurants and bars nearby.

The first room we received is not exactly the same as in the photo we saw when we book. The property managed to exchange the room for us even they have limit choice. And because of the weather in the summer season, I need to open the window as there is no air conditioner. That's why the noise was comimg in.

Avoid this hotel!

This hotel should be avoided, if possible. This hotel is run down, rooms are dirty, rooms are extremely noisy, it's in short a dump, and they charge exorbitant prices (for a dump!) Below are some takeaways:

1. We could clearly hear entire conversations taking place in neighbouring rooms (below, above, to the sides), we could hear people going to the bathroom (yeah...) next door...the walls are literally paper thin!

2. The staircase smells extremely strongly of mould. There was a hole in the wall of the lobby where water came in when it rained outside (see picture), there was water damage in our room's ceiling (see picture).

3. The room was not clean and many details, such as towel hangers, were broken or poorly maintained (rust/dirty) or just dirty (again see pictures).

4. We paid over 200EUR/night/room - we should have known better....joke's on us, don't repeat our mistake!

We will never come back here and hope that this review is helpful for other travellers.

Staff do their best to be helpful and welcoming, but again, the service leaves a lot to be desired - check-in/out is slow, welcome is grumpy/lazy.

DO NOT stay in this hotel, it is under extreme poor management and condition is appalling. It is closer to a one star hotel, than a three star as it claims to be. We stayed at Ibis budget hotel and it was better than here.
1. Poor maintenance: The rooms are narrow with very disgusting shower area. There were many rust stains, walls were cracked and the shower head had very weak water pressure. The shower door could not even be closed properly.
2. Poor customer service: We lodged a complaint about our missing personal belongings, but this was the beginning of our nightmare. The reception came to inspect our room and while she apologised and promised to investigate and update us in the morning, we heard nothing the next day morning. We dealt with several other receptionists regarding the issue but especially with Lilit, one of the middle age woman with blonde hair, she treated us with a dismissive attitude and was reluctant to help.
3. Poor management: We were told that we could talk to the manager (Alexander Nicolet)the next day 9-10am but the manager never showed up, even after the receptionist made a call to him, he claimed he has meeting to attend and will not come. We are clearly not valued/ prioritised as customers.

Staying at this hotel had been exhausting. We want a full refund of our stay here for all the energy and time wasted due to poor management. We only got a refund for the towel after we said we will call the police for record of missing item.

This is old and so small. It is in front of train station so loud all day even night time. If you want to stay right next to train station it’s good location but we don’t need it. We need to stay quiet and good location where we can walk and enjoy our vacation.

Timhotel is a small hotel that has a great location (facing Gare Montparnasse).

The heating was very good. Very important for people like us from a tropical country. The cleaning was very good, except for the last day that seemed to be made in a rush. Our paper and soap went finish. This was not comfortable.

Best for quick business trip

Great for a quick (one-two day) business trip especially intercity using railways. Station a real walking distance, clean, nice staff, good wifi connection and well maintained. Only problem is if you have annoying neighbors (like i did) as you can hear everything as if in your room. Great value for money too.

First of all as a solo traveler my room was like a broom cupboard next to the lift I’ve asked them I haven’t travelled from UK to stay in this for that price they said it’s paris, but they changed it for another one at level 6 on two occasions I had to use the stairs as lift was temperamental, then my key didn’t work luky lye I’ve asked cleaner to let me inn, the hotel entrance had meters & meters of wires hanging like a art work and few workmen were working ,staff were friendly I forgot to have a right plug to my charger they sorted me out but electric went off but after a while they fixed the electric, it was clean with dodgy lift.

Paris is always awesome.

The hotel entrance was being renovated. The hotel has two sides so you go down some steps to a small elevator on one side and the other elevator is on the main floor. The bed was extremely comfortable for us. No air conditioning but a small fan made the unusually hot week bearable. The brown bag take away continental breakfast was thoughtful but there is too much packaging. The coffee was good.
Located across the street from Gare Montparnasse made train connections easy. A 25 minute walk to the Seine.

The first room that they assigned to us was not ready. A maintenance person was fixing the bathroom when we entered the room.

Good location! You can take a bus from and to the airport directly near the hotel. (19 Euro- one way)
The bathroom was renovated, so it’s clean perfectly. The room was not a big but it’s enough for 2 people. The staff of the front desk was nice and they accepted my request (changed to twin room from single room) as well. I definitely recommend this hotel.

Nice hotel close to Montparnasse train station.

Very happy with the convenience of this hotel. The room was exceptionally clean. The bed was very comfortable. The room was tiny yet the space was well used and we had everything we needed. I would definitely come here again if I needed to get an early morning train from Montparnasse station.

It was an average hotel, very well located since Montparnasse is one of the major metro stations, so getting around was not difficult. The breakfast is pretty good. Room was small but clean. The bed was also average comfort (nothing compared to the fluffiness of American hotel beds), not that it mattered much when getting back from a long exhausting day. Lastly, the shower is actually tiny! It is impossible to bend down without having your body touch the shower walls. Overall would recommend/ stay again. Especially for the price

Basic accommodation with good transport links

A budget hotel that is close to a metro and French national rail, the hotel is about a half hour walk from the Seine and Notre Dame. Lots of restaurants and shops nearby. The hotel is pretty basic, no frills and whistles. The receptionist we dealt with the most was a lady called Aurore who was very, very friendly, exceptionally helpful, and forgiving of our middling French skills.

Handy for sightseeing and train station.

I was a bit worried when I arrived as reception couldn't find my booking because it had come through from Expedia rather than Hotels.com! That aside the hotel was ideal for my one night stay to watch rugby. Eiffell tower within walking distance. Train and metro just across the street. I was away too early to sample breakfast.

Good Neighborhood Hotel

I like the Montparnasse area, even though it is a ways off from the main sights. You get to see a different part of Paris, and there are great restaurants and markets in the area. And it's a quick Metro ride to anywhere with lots of lines to choose from. Plus the airport bus is handy. Hotel was a good basic hotel, quiet, easy to find. Has an elevator and satellite TV, although my TV didn't work.

This was our third stay at this hotel. The close proximity to Gare Montparnasse is ideal for getting our onward train to La Rochelle. Although fairly basic the rooms have always been clean and comfortable and there is reasonable choice of restaurants in the area if you want a meal.

I checked in on Friday afternoon and was met by a lady at reception - she was lovely. Have us an iron for our room and gave us some good directions to get around. She was very friendly - no complaints on that part.
My girlfriend and I were staying for only one night.
We checked out early in the morning and there was a man at the reception desk. He was extremely rude - he was rude in his mannerisms.
My girlfriend forgot her phone in the room and when we asked him if we could go back and check it, he started to \"huff and puff\" very loudly and threw our room key/card across his desk before giving it to us. I've never met such a rude member of staff whilst staying in a hotel. I'm not sure what his problem was with me and girlfriend because we watched him serve a gentleman before us and he was gentle and polite...
I really wonder what he had against us from the beginning of our interaction. Seeing as this was my first time in the hotel I was very disappointed - hence why I gave a low rating.

If location is what you want, this is it.

The location of this hotel is the best feature. On each corner is an entrance to the Montparnasse metro station. Two doors down is a mini market with wine, beer, snacks, water, and hygiene products. There are at least 15 cafes to choose from for any meal, including two places that are open 24/7. The room itself was small. Worst thing was that we requested a double bed, but got two singles pushed together. This wouldn't have been so bad, except the bedding was single, too. It was very uncomfortable. Of course there is no air conditioning, but this room did not even have a fan. We had to keep the window open to stay cool in early September. The street below is very busy and loud, even with the window closed. The bathroom was spacious but there was mold all in the grout. The curtain did not close all the way so after each shower the floor was soaked. Even with all of this said I would still recommend the hotel because of its location. It was incredibly convenient for everything, including a full size grocery store. The view we had was of the Tour Montparnasse building (which is huge, dark, and ugly). The view from the top of it is worth it, though! There is also a mall with cheap parking across the street. Location, Location, Location!

DO NOT STAY HERE!!!! 1. the room sucks (very small) but the bathroom is disgusting, has mold in the shower. 2. Room service and management are incompetent, the entire week my wife and I stayed here we had the DO NOT DISTURB sign up but they didn't understand that, room service was cleaning are room and entering it everyday with the sign up. 3. what really angered me off is that some worker changing out old paperwork of fire exit locations just came in our room without knocking and my wife was in the shower and I was basically naked luckily I had my towel around me. How rude is that still had the do not disturb sign up and just came in anyways. We stayed in five other countries and it hasn't been a problem till Paris at this hotel. Apparently there is two parts of the hotel a nice side (which you see the pictures from the hotel) and there's the bad side, the amount I paid for I should've gotten better hotel room but doesn't matter anyways. DON'T LET THE PICTURES FROM HERE FOOL YOU. They seriously ruined our trip here because the last day we were here, we were just so angry and couldn't wait to leave.

Smelly, small room with even worse hotel staff.

This hotel is located in a less touristy, business section of Paris. When we arrived the front desk staff was extremely rude and standoffish. We do not speak French and it seemed as if we were bothering them to check in to our room. When getting to our room we noticed it looked quite different from the pictures online. The room was on the smaller side, and the bathroom could barely fit a 5'10\" man. There was also an overpowering smell of Cheetos in the room. We had a lot of traffic noise outside our 3rd story window. It made it impossible to leave the window open, and our room did not have air conditioning. The hotel was perfectly located next to metro stations and the major buss station that all lines went through.

Pleased with our stay

My friend and I are students travelling on a budget and this hotel was a great fit for us. It was nearby to the metro station, making for easy travel to the main tourist sites. We were really only in the room to sleep, as we were out touring most of the day, but the room definitely served its purpose, and the bathroom was bigger than expected. Breakfast was standard.

Surprise and disappointed

Closeness to the rail station should be your only reason for staying here. This is a congested, seedy area, not a choice place to start a Paris vacation. I wouldn't go out at night here. Employees were all courteous. Don't waste your money getting the breakfast...shameful and a rip-off better describes it for the outrageous price of 13.5 euro. The can and should do better but it seems that they just want your money. There does not seem to be pride of ownership around here. Spruce it up and clean it up Paris, your image has faded.

No frills, but comfortable

You'll get a small, clean room at this hotel and not much else. The beds and linens were comfortable enough for the price. The neighborhood didn't offer much in the way of food or shopping, but there are plenty of bus and Metro lines nearby to move you around.

My biggest complaint was with the staff - they were unfriendly and unhelpful, even by French standards.

The property is a good option for anyone on a budget who can navigate public transportation well enough to get to more interesting areas of town.

Extremely close to Gare Montparnasse

Very small room and only double bed . Even smaller lift . But nice new bathroom . Great for a quick rest after a train trip before going somewhere else.
