This hotel was absolutely stunning and we had very good service. The staff were nice and helpful. We had an issue where our AC wasn’t working properly at one point but they came promptly and brought us a fan temporarily. The breakfast was also delicious. My only concern is that their restaurant isn’t open so there’s no room service of actual meals.

The staff were absolutely excellent; however, we believe this hotel has a mold issue. After the first night, we had to switch rooms due to the most horrid smell i've ever experienced in a hotel room, and we both woke up feeling very sick. I was ill for the next four days with nausea, loss of appetite, a feverish feeling, and extreme fatigue. My sister experienced severe fatigue, a sore throat, and a stuffy nose. (All of our symptoms were consistent with mold exposure.)
Our second room initially smelled fine, but after a few days a mild odor developed in the bathroom as well. A staff member mentioned that someone had flooded a bathroom on our floor about a month earlier, which could explain the strong mildew or mold smell in our original room. However, when we spoke with the manager, she denied the presence of mold and offered only a 10% discount for the first night of our eight-night stay.
While other aspects of the hotel were good, our trip was largely ruined by how sick we became and the lingering exhaustion for the remainder of our stay. I recommend exercising caution when considering this hotel as mold exposure is extremely serious.

Staff were all amazing. It was our anniversary and we asked to have champagne in the room when we checked it The check in crew left a nice hand written note and gave us a couple free desserts. We had a great time in the late evening at the bar with Max. Thanks for the amazing stay.

The hotel is the perfect boutique hotel in an amazing residential neighborhood close to the Metro and several brasseries that are open late and serve decent food. The adjoining rooms are also perfect for families. The beds are comfortable, clean and with great amenities such as tea kettles, Nespresso machines, and Dyptique touletries. When available, the personalized service is wonderful. Unfortunately, some of the hotel staff are just rude, detached and unprofessional. And the interactions with those individuals are enough to poison the whoke stay. For example, I had asked for an earlier check-in, because we had an overnight flights with a child and arrived around noon after having traveled for 18 hours. I completely understand that it is not always possible. However, the reception representative’s complete unwillingness to triage the situation and prioritize the cleaning of the rooms for families with small children was almost cruel. In fact, even after the room was ready, he let us sit in the lobby exhausted like refugees, and it was not until I came to ask for the third time that he nonchalantly said “oh, yes, it’s been ready”. The next day I saw another family with small children experience the same treatment. There is always a more professional way of handling such a situation. The staff could prioritize families with children (especially because most of those from abroad come on overnight flights) and make their wait more comfortable instead of acting burdened.

The staff was super helpful! We can’t speak French unfortunately, but we could always communicate with someone at the front desk.
It was very walkable and quiet. Small room by American standards for sure but very adequate. For further points of interest, we took transportation one way and walked back. Lovely stay ☺️

We had the pleasure of staying at Hotel des Grands Voyageurs on Rue La Vaugirard, Paris. The location was excellent and very convenient, being close to the metro, various restaurants, and within walking distance of the River Seine. Our rooms were spacious, comfortable, and kept very clean, featuring a king-sized bed, which is quite rare in Paris. The staff were truly wonderful, especially Louise and Marion, who went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. We highly recommend this hotel and would be delighted to stay there again in the future!

We really enjoyed our stay at Des Grands Voyageurs! Attentive staff, and an especially welcoming bellhop, who we enjoyed seeing each day. The room had a lot of great touches, like small minibar included and refilled (with snacks, Coke products, beers), a little welcome gift, etc. They offered refillable water bottles, which was a little odd (3 euros to replace them or get a new one), but it was nice they'd fill your water bottles.

The location is wonderful - just a block off the Sainte-Placide Metro and walkable to the Jardin du Luxembourg, shopping, restaurants, etc. We love this area, as it's somewhat more residential but still very close to our favorite attractions.

Bed was comfortable and the rooms were well-appointed. Breakfast was also good. Would have been nice to have eggs and coffee to order, as the coffee machine coffee in particular wasn't great, but overall very nice, especially for a 4-star property. Also nice that there was a fitness center. Would have liked to see some smaller weights than 11lbs, but other than that, it was sufficent for travel workouts.

The restaurant and bar area are beautiful, but we were disappointed to see that the bar was dead every night. No guests or outside patrons. We really love a lively bar at a hotel and this bar has a lot of potential. Overall, we had a great stay. The value of the room rate was good for the quality (i.e. it was not inexpensive at all, but not overpriced). We would definitely stay at this hotel again!

6th ARR Gem

This is a nifty hotel in the 6th ARR which is a nice section of Paris. We really enjoyed staying here. The hotel is literally just steps away from the Saint Placide Metro station and is convenient to grocery stores, restaurants and shops of different sorts. It is only an 8-10 minute walk to the Luxembourg Gardens, and perhaps 25 minutes to Saint Chapelle and the other major tourist attractions.

We had a junior suite for 2 nights in August of 2025 and the suite was exactly as depicted by the on-line description and photographs. The front desk was extremely helpful and pleasant to work with and was even able to check us in early, which was fantastic since we had come in from the US on an overnight flight.

One other to mention is that breakfast was compact but extremely good. The hotel offered a nice variety of choices for the breakfast, which was a continental buffet, although it also included bacon and eggs.

We would highly recommend this hotel and would stay there again in the future.

Stayed for a week at Hôtel des Grands Voyageurs in Paris’ 6th arrondissement. It deserves its rating... exceptional. We selected this hotel because of its location and rating. Very clean, quiet, well organized, very capable and professional staff. We enjoyed our Deluxe Room on the top floor. Some might consider it small, 194 sq ft, but for us, it was perfect. Maybe the only improvement could be more storage space for clothing (larger closet and a bureau). Of important note: the bed was extremely comfortable. Although we didn’t opt for the extra breakfast fee, we did have several meals in their restaurant and would rate the food better than average and the staff wonderful.

This boutique hotel was nicely appointed and had a cool but elegant vibe and design. The location is great and accessible to many shops and restaurants, while still having the feeling of being in a quiet spot. While my stay was essentially perfect, it was disappointing not to hear back from the hotel when I called several times to retrieve something I left behind in the room. Despite that lapse. I’ll be back and can highly recommend the property.

We really enjoyed our stay at the hotel! The staff were always friendly with a smile on their face:) The hotel is very clean and tidy. After reading some of the comments we were worried that the classic room might turn out to be too small, but it was actually a pretty decent size.
A small suggestion would be to put an additional caddy in the shower area to put your own shower/bath products.

Owners Charlotte and Laurent Inchauspé commissioned street artist Jérôme Mesnager to create a distinctive atmosphere with his signature white figures.
