I find it inadmissible to have rooms on 6 floors but an elevator that goes only up to the fourth floor, AND not disclose it to Expedia so that the customer can make an informed decision. My room was on the 6th floor, I had to lift two heavy suitcases 2 floors on two occasions and I would have preferred not to do this. Had I known, I would have either chosen a different room or chosen a different hotel. What made things worst, there was no staff to assist with this. My room was also pretty beaten up.

This was a small, quaint, and enjoyable property- convenient to so many things including the Metro, cafes, grocery stores, shopping and attractions. We did the breakfast buffet two mornings and found it offered a nice variety. At the end of a day of walking and site seeing, we loved sitting next door at the cafe, enjoying a drink and taking in the neighborhood. Coming from the states, we found the bathroom and shower to be smaller than we were used to, but we encountered that in other European properties as well due to the historical age of the building. Based on all the positives, we would stay at this location again.

We were only in Paris for one night. We were able to check into our room early which really made our day! Room was clean comfortable and really nicely appointed. Central to everything! Friendly prompt service for the couple of requests we made. Although we try our best to speak the little French we know, staff were fluent in English. This place feels like it’s in a small neighborhood off the beaten path. After hectic days of being a tourist in Paris, this was like coming home. Within a week we were friends with the girls at our favorite neighborhood bakery & the staff at two of the neighborhood restaurants. Everyone at this hotel was super friendly & helpful. For better or for worse, this hotel is not near the major tourist attractions - although all are within a few miles - but there are two Metro stations very close along with several bus lines with which you can quickly get anywhere. It rarely took me more than 15-20 minutes to get anywhere. Within a few blocks of the hotel there are several good restaurants, many small food shops and a large grocery, a cheese shop, and several good bakeries. The hotel breakfast is substantial and varied, and so is worth the price if you like breakfast. The room and bathroom were adequate in size. The bed was a little hard but I had no trouble sleeping. There is an in-room safe. No refrigerator or microwave.

I appreciate that a cold water dispenser is available at any time to fill our water bottles. The hotel is located next to Vaneau metro which makes it convenient. There are three things recommended for improvement which are the elevator that at the most is for 3 max with carryon luggage and the alternative is to use the stairs which is a good workout session. Second the shower that is very very very small/narrow and third improve cleaning because I had to clean the shower because of visible mold. Hope this areas can improve because overall the hotel has a good location, well decorated and good breakfast.

My husband fell while trying to get in. Also there should be a rubber mat as the floor of tub is slippery. When I asked about a mat the man at the reception was rather curt and said you didn’t have any. Not very polite. Perhaps on France people don’t sue, if a guest were to get hurt. Buying mats would be a very small expense to solve a potentially very expensive one, should someone take you to court. Otherwise a very nice place to stay!
