This was a very good location for walking and central for access to transit. My room and bedding were very clean, no signs of bugs anywhere. The water pressure in the shower was low, but i was also up on the top floor, and I'm used to strong pressure back home.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. They offer breakfast, but I ate elsewhere as I was excited to explore the city. The elevator is tiny, max 3 people without luggage, probably not wheelchair accessible. Overall, I would definitely stay here again.

The area is close to major attractions and the property was recently renovated. We were on the fourth floor so we didn’t hear the noise from the bars. The metro rumbles beneath but you grow accustomed to it. I didn’t choose the buffet breakfast for 15 euros because there are plenty of cafés in and around the area.

Great location! Makes for a super easy trip from Paris CDG airport to the Montparnasse station - there's a bus that goes direct. Hotel is a 5 min or less walk to train station, so really quite convenient. Also not far from the Eiffel Tower, with lots of bars and restaurants in the area. Really reasonably priced breakfast with a good selection. The room looks nicer in the picture than in reality, the hallways smell like smoke and rooms could use some updates and new carpet. The shower did not drain and backed up onto bathroom floor. But a decent place to stay for a couple nights in Paris for the location and price.

Safe did not work, vast amount of stains on carpet. Shower was blocked so over spilled. This fault was reported and it was fixed however the room then smelt strongly of sewage which was very unpleasant. In general need of a refresh of paint etc as well.

Very lovely little hotel in a wonderful area off the beaten path. Easy to get to everything, Great restaurants and shopping right outside the door. Quick walk to Les Invalides and other attractions. Of course rooms are small but well air conditioned and very clean. Definitely would stay here again!

First of all hotel room was too small, bathroom sink got blocked at first time we use, staff is not friendly and showed anger and attitude to resolve matters. Something was biting me and when I complained staff said nothing can be done as hotel is fully booked. Staff, facility and overall experience was horrible. Though location of the hotel is good as hop on hop off bus is just outside hotel and lots of eating places are close by. We wanted to check out straight away but there was not anything available around the area.

good location (near Montparnasse train station and 2 metro lines), small room, beds were very small but firm, bathroom was OK, a/c and international TV channels OK, WiFi was weak and kept on going down. Breakfast buffet was very small with very limited choices, Reception staff were helpful, pleasant, maid cleaning the room continuously forgot to replace coffee capsules and glasses.
We stayed for 5 nights, overall OK hotel stay but if again in Paris would look for a better option.

Very nice hotel close to a lively part of Paris

Stayed here for a week while relocating to Paris. Very comfortable stay with excellent facilities and hotel staff. Room has everything you need including a coffee machine with complementary coffee, much needed for those long days seeing the sights! The staff are very friendly and helpful, everyone I spoke with also knew English so if I ran into any problems they could clear things up easily. Over all a great experience.

I booked this hotel based on the pictures and the location but they don't correspond with reality. my check-in started with the elevator being damaged and i had to leave my suitcase in the reception until they repaired it (about 40 min). but after that I didn't want to take the elevator any more so I always took the stairs. For noise sensible people, you hear and FEEL the vibration of the room, windows and floor every time the trains pass (which is often) but i believe it is the same for any hotel in this street. The location is very good if you like nightlife and hectic streets. it is ALWAYS noisy outside. This hotel is right next to a pub so avoid staying on rooms facing the incredibly noisy street. I requested a quiet room and they gave me a room facing an inner private area so I could at least have more peace and quiet yet it is not possible to avoid the trains sound passing by. If you want a peaceful stay do not choose this hotel or any hotel on this street. the breakfast quality was poor. the croissants were terrible! (i stayed at another hotel close by the same week and the croissants were delicious and fresh). the only possitive from this hotel is the friendly staff and that the rooms were clean. I don't think i will stay here again. i have nothing against this hotel and nothing serious happened. i just value a good night sleep and peaceful stay oh and a decent quality of croissants if you are staying in Paris!

Well-located, sensible Parisian Hotel

I was at the Best Western Hotel Le Montparnasse for an extended stay, so I feel I've gotten to know it fairly well. The staff was all very welcoming, and almost all of them are bilingual (English and French) for those of you who do not speak French. They were very friendly and welcomed me every day as I came and went. The hotel is very conveniently located to the metro and RER lines. I didn't have more than a ten minute ride anywhere I wanted to go. It isn't the most elegant place on the inside, but if you're spending a lot of time in your room in Paris, you're doing it wrong. My only major complaint was that there weren't a lot of places to put my clothes. There was a small closet/wardrobe and then a place to hang clothes by the full-length mirror. Even a small dresser would have been helpful.

Things being stolen by housekeeping

During the stay, we found out that skincare product beside the bed were being used, and moved inside the toilet, but we didn't tell the staff. When we returned home, a bottle of perfume cost 90EUR was found stolen, it was of a local brand in Florence so we could not buy it again. The psychological damage is devastating. When I tried to notify the hotel group of the incident, I could just receive a response stating the hotel would not be responsible for the loss. The management even would not pretend to investigate on the incident.

Therefore if you really had to stay in this hotel, please lock all your belongings (even those seem not valuable) with a padlock or similar.

Good for the price you pay

Small but clean hotel. Close to centre. Can see the effiel tower from the street. Metro was less than 5 mins walk and the open top tour bus stops 2 mins outside the hotel. Cafes and restaurants close by and supermarket opposite. Very good customer service at the hotel. The staff were very helpful. Explained the metro and how to get to places. It had all the basics and we were very happy as we were out most of the time looking at the attractions. Would recommend that you get a room on the 3rd floor as the tubes run underneath and our friends had a room on the 2nd floor and they said it was quite loud but they got used to it. All in all I would definitely recommend this hotel and would gladly stay their again. I went with my 10 year old son to show him Paris and he loved it and the waiters in the cafes close by were very friendly to him. All in all a good trip to Paris.

My room wasn't 100% the tv remote and the coffee machine were dusty. And the aircon had a problem where it would make a loud buzzing sound around once an hour, this was quite annoying as it kept waking me up! (Room 14)

The cleaners have a habit of leaving things in the narrow hallways which made carrying my bag down for check out difficult.

Location was great with plenty of cafes and shops around.

Reception area is poor, small and with old decor, but the reception staff were very helpful. The lift, a squash for two people and two cases, sounded as if it would fall to pieces at any moment. The room was adequate for an overnight stay, clean and modern if rather small. Not as close to the Montparnasse station as it sounded....the airport transfer was good.

Only good things about the hotel were location and the desk staff who tried very hard to help with shortfalls in the room. We would leave at 8, come back at 3 pm with a sign to please make up the room, and the room would not be madeup. The hotel has no lounge area. The breakfast nook has full setting set up at all times. There is not a single English speaking channel on the TV. The desk would supply us with face cloths and the cleaning crew would take them away and not replace. We would have to go back to the desk to again get face cloths. Eventually, we hide them from the cleaning crew!!!

Modest little gem on Boulevard de Montparnasse

The staff made the difference for me -- two in particular, Elsa and Alexis, were unusually helpful and friendly. Although the rooms are smallish, they're comfortable and modern with some nice touches such as both rain-type and handheld shower, TV, a surprisingly roomy little refrigerator, an interior-lit clothes cabinet, several towels and nice soap products. We also got a great rate! The Metro runs directly under the hotel, so it sounds like a rumble of thunder every few minutes, but we got used to that. The Internet connection was sometimes inconsistent. Breakfast (not included) was ok but you're better off getting great pastry and coffee at one of the bakeries/cafes around the corner. The location isn't as hip as some areas but it feels safe and lively, and is very near bus stops, a good grocery store, Metro and \"Hop On/Off\" busses that will take you all over town (with historical info ear buds) all day for 32 euros, 36 for two: such a deal! Easy walking distance to Rodin Museum, Luxembourg Gardens and Invalides; walkable (1.5 miles) to many other attractions. This was a small and likable hotel; the street side rooms are noisier but feel very French and lively; I preferred the quieter courtyard rooms myself.

The hotel is well located. It is near Montparnasse train station (5mins walk) and not far from metro station either. The room that I had was small, but had all that was needed. There is no AC in this hotel, however, the window could be fully opened.
The staff was very helpful.
there is a small convenience store nearby too which is handy and lots of little restaurants. It's also within walking distance to the \"invalides\" and the Eiffel tower from there (maybe 40-60mins walk).
It's also close to the Galleries Lafayette.

The hotel had our rooms mixed up to begin with. We had ordered two twin bedrooms (with a request of two single beds which they had accepted) and one double room. They ended up giving us the opposite - two double rooms and one twin bedroom (no single beds). They switched it later. The person on the first day was friendly enough to deal with. We really had no issues that day. In fact he had even offered breakfast at a discounted price. There was this other issue of my credit card being slightly overcharged. So, the person at the front desk told me he can take care of it on the day we leave.

But the person on the second day was extremely rude. I told him about the previous day's experience and how the other person at the desk offered us a discount for breakfast and the credit card issue. He outright denied that it wasn't possible and wasn't even listening to what I had to say. He was very impatient. I had a guest with me and it was embarrassing for me to deal with the entire thing. We were charged the entire full breakfast amount. The issue wasn't paying the full amount or not. It was that the front desk person wouldn't listen to what I had to say about the discount thing. I mean, I only brought up the discount because I was offered it the previous day but he was pretty unprofessional about it.

The hotel rooms were pretty decent overall though. It was a bit too small for my liking but that's not really a complaint as I know rooms are comparatively smaller in Paris.

Superb and safe location

The hotel was close to several metro lines and bus routes (which we frequently used, and even late at night you felt safe). It was also close to the L'Open hop-on-hop off bus (although we didn't use it). And to Galerias Lafeyette. There are many restaurants within 5 min work of the hotel, as well as a couple of corner stores to buy snacks etc. The staff were all very friendly and spoke English. They were happy to look up routes on the internet for us, and even print off a walking route on one day. The room was small but very clean - we had 2 single beds but could walk around the edge without problems. The room was more than adequate, with minibar, small wardrobe, TV, ipod docking station / speakers, small table and chair. The window opened on to the street, but the double glazing was excellent, so we were never disturbed during our week long stay by traffic as long as the window was shut. There was an efficient air-conditioning unit. I would recommend the hotel to friends and colleagues in the future

An experience to be forgotten!

I had to be in Paris and unfortunately my visit coincided with Fashion Week which is a terrible period to find a hotel room at a reasonable price. I did some research and picked this hotel based on reviews on TripAdvisor and other sources. Somehow I thought that 3 stars would guarantee a certain level of standard. Location is good and staff were very nice but otherwise, everything else is bare and frankly depressing from hotel lobby, elevator conditions, smell in the hallways, breakfast area to room and bathroom size and furniture (all plastic). Subway underneath can be felt as high as the fourth floor. Hotel staff is very nice but could not wait to check out of it. Thank god I was only there for one night. I cannot imagine what a 2 star hotel would be if this is 3 star hotel.

The hotel felt very budget - bright colours in the room but cheaply made furniture and cracks which had been painted over. The location was ok - everything very walkable but I think we would prefer to be nearer Saint Germain if we were to visit again. The staff were either very friendly and helpful or were completely not - depended on who was on reception.
When we arrived there was a half drank bottle of water left in the room so the cleaning clearly hadn't been that thorough. We asked for a fresh bottle which never materialised.
Didn't have breakfast so can't comment on that.
One positive was the tablet which was available for use in the room - really handy to be able to look up locations and places during our stay.
Overall the hotel would be ok if cheaper and if you're happy to stay somewhere as a base but it's not somewhere I would recommend or stay again I'm afraid.

Localização excelente - tem uma estação de metro ao lado e um ponto de onibus em frente, alem disso da p fazer quase tudo a pé p quem gosta de andar.
O quarto e o banheiro são bem pequenos mas super funcionais, com lugar p acomodar as bagagens. Tem cofre, frigobar, chaleira eletrica e opções de cha e café soluvel.
Quarto sempre muito limpo e cheiroso, com troca diaria de toalhas.
Pertinho do hotel tem muitas opções de bares e restaurantes bons.
Recepção prestativa, forneceram mapas e informações e se esforçaram p falar em ingles.
Um ponto negativo é p quem tem muito problema com barulho pois da p ouvir o metro. Isso acontece não só no hotel mas em toda a região.
Pra mim foi um excelente custo beneficio.

Personnel et accueil très professionnel.

Mais la chambre n'était pas propre, sur trois jours et deux nuits, les draps (qui étaient tâché dans un coin) n'ont pas été changé, pas un coup d'aspirateur dans la chambre.
La propreté initiale n'était pas au rendez vous des standards qu'on peut attendre de ce genre d'enseigne.

Attention au wc, il n'est pas fixé au sol...

On est bien insonorisé côté rue, par contre côté couloir et ascenceur c'est une autre histoire, c'est hyper bruyant.

Et comble du bonheur, on ressent le passage du métro toutes les 5/6 minutes jusqu'au 4ème étage.

Le prix est donc particulièrement élevé en regard de la qualité et des services proposés.

The hotel is located next to the trainstation, this is a positiv effect. But the rooms are more than uncomfortable, noisy, bad taste and the bathroom is like a cupboard. I would not recommend this hotel to anybody. I am surprised that the hotel has the nerve to ask nearly 200€ per night. The personal is also not very professional and kind .

Très moyen,la chasse d'eau se mettait à couler tout seule puis s'arrêtait et repartait, ça a duré tout la nuit.
La lumière du couloir etait visible sur tout l'encadrement de la porte toute la nuit.
Compliqué de dormir dans ces conditions,heureusement ce n'était qu'une seule nuit.
Je n'y retournerai pas.

Le camere sono minuscole, senza spazio nemmeno per sdraiare una valigia. Per entrare in bagno ci sono due ante di un armadio che si bloccano pure e da dentro esci solo a spallate.
L'hotel é su una via principale molto rumorosa anche di notte, in compenso é ottima ai servizi metroprolitana.
In generale il disappunto é il rapporto qualità/pulizia/prezzo. A Dubai dormi in un 5 stelle con 170 euro a notte

Moquette Très sale, lavabo bouché, chauffage très bruyant.
Pas du tout dans les standards tarifaires. J’ai payé deux chambres ( mon collaborateur et moi) 430€ sans les ptits dej et les taxes !!!!

宿泊証明も、どんなにお願いしても断りました。
お兄さんはニコニコでサービス。
立地はよく魅力あるが、施設の割に値段は非常に高いですね。
次は無いかな。

Amabilidad de todo su personal de concerjería.

Buena atención del personal de concerjeria.
El mantenimiento podría ser mejor, x ejemplo ajustes de picaporte baño, sujeción de inodoros, etc.
Muy estrechas las habitaciones. Para pasajeros transcontinentales que transportamos mucho equipaje, nos resulta un poco incómodo el poco espacio en la habitación.

Petit hotel bien placé, petite chambre côté cour mal insonorisée avec le bruit du couloir. Propre, literie parfaite, petite salle de bain avec le toilette. J'ai pas pris le petit dej mais cela reste correct niveau prix et au standard d’hôtel de cette gamme. personnel accueillant.

Rentrant du Japon il est effectivement difficile de comparer. Toutefois le niveau de propreté n'est pas à la hauteur attendue, et il faut réclamer pour que le buffet du petit déjeuner soit approvisionné. Qui plus est il fait un froid glacial dans la veranda réservée à cet effet. Une image bien française de nos prestations.
