Amazing cozy clean and comfortable hotel. Felt like a bed and breakfast - so cozy and charming. The staff was warm, kind and professional. Close to a subway that had a direct line to everywhere we wanted to go. My 13 year old daughter loved it as well. We can’t wait to stay here again!

I love this hotel and have been a guest there for years. I know the staff and I am thrilled to see the renovations. My rating is related to my departure. The elevator was broken, I was on the third floor and I currently have some serious mobility issues. There was only one gentleman on duty. He could not help me out. When I struggled and slipped on the winding cumbersome spiral staircase and hit the side of my face a housekeeper rush over to help me up and finally down to the lobby. She and a coworker carried my luggage down. I quickly checked out and went to the airport. The mark on the side of my face was so obvious that at check-in the agent said “you need help” and called for assistance. My balance was so impacted by the fall I need wheel chair assistance chair to through the airport and on to the plane. A tragic end to a holiday in Paris.

Absolutely fantastic! From our warm greeting by Antoine, to our departure, everything was wonderful. Thomas even realized that it was my daughter's birthday and had a little gift for her! The room was small, but perfectly adequate, beautifully decorated, and very clean. Beds were also very comfortable! It was very quiet, yet so convenient to the buses and metro! I would absolutely recommend this hotel and hope very much to return in the future!

The staff was extremely helpful. Rooms were spotless and comfortable and the breakfast was good. The company they use to provide airport transportation was not great. They do not give a good estimate of how long it takes to go through customs at CDG. Also maybe a regular plug outlet in the bathroom for the strong hairdryer.

This was a great hotel for our extended weekend in Paris! Very conveniently located near the St. Placide Metro station, where we could easily get to the RER train to Versailles, Disney, and back to CDG. The breakfast was lovely each morning and the breakfast room is charming. There are restaurants and bakeries in nearby streets, but I was so impressed with how quiet the actual street the hotel is located on was. We left our windows open at night to allow a fresh breeze and were not woken up once by street noise. Highly recommend!

We loved everything about the hotel, mostly the staff. Eduardo, Nadine, Phillipe and Thomas did everything to make us feel welcome. I was glad they could speak to us in English, we have a problem with not knowing the French language. The restaurant staff was great also and everything was perfect and delicious.

The staff is very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed little luxuries such as NUXE toiletries in the bathroom and the Mariage Freres tea in our room. The bed was very comfortable with nice pillows and duvet. Complimentary hot drinks in the lobby, espresso, lattes, etc. Easy access to metro. Love this place!

Good Location, very helpful and nice staff. They did whatever they could to make our stay joyful. They helped with early check-in, which was very lifesaving because my flight got canceled and I was very tired. This is a cozy, peaceful hotel with a good vibe and a little coffee bar where you can get any hot drink self-service anytime. We did not have breakfast in the Hotel, but you can if you want to.

The staff at St Grégoire are extremely friendly and most accommodating. They were more than happy to help us with any queries and were generally welcoming. It is in an excellent location with vibrant bars shops and restaurants nearby while being accessible on foot to Norte Dame and the areas on the rive gauche. I will certainly be returning. Prime place in prime spot

Lovely welcome and friendliness throughout our stay. We had asked for a bathroom with bathtub and that is what was waiting for us. Hotel is brilliantly located in a side street of a busy thoroughfare and within easy reach of a metro station. The room was spotless!
One point I would like to make: the carpeting in the staircase and on the landing has seen better days. Why not leave the stone stairs bare? More authentic and hygienic An overall win-win situation!

We stayed in a room with balcony on the 5th floor in room 50, room was very decent. Balcony is very small, however you can still sit and have breakfast.
Excellent staff, very french vibe, close to everything, lot of good dinning options nearby. We stayed 4 nights and were able to quickly hop on train to go to all the attractions. We did not take any breakfast as there are lot of nearby restaurants and bakeries! They do have coffee in lobby and some pastries. However there in no milk so you have to ask them each time! We just wish there was a coffee machine in the room as it is really cold in November! Over all excellent place to stay.

We loved our 7 night stay at the Saint Gregoire. It was your quintessential charming, small, Parisienne hotel with ambience galore. It was warm, welcoming, quiet and comfortable. How refreshing to find our room, larger than most of the hotel rooms we have stayed in, in Paris. Little touches like the vase of flowers and greens, in our room, added to the charm. The bathroom was in its own separate room, which was another plus. The Staff was knowledgeable, helpful and pleasant and the breakfast was delightful. In addition the pretty, intimate lobby offered hot drinks via a ‘press the button’ machine. Also, it
Is located in the 6th Arrondisement, our very favourite district in Paris, just steps from the Rue Sainte Placide, which leads down to the magnificent grocery store, l’epicerie Bon Marché, as well as the wonderful Bon Marché Department store. Restaurants abound in the neighbourhood, including our favourite Creperie, Creperie Josselin, at 67 Rue Montparnasse, just off the Boulevard Montparnasse. Nice, though more like a 3-star hotel

This hotel us listed as a 4-star though it's more like a 3 star hotel. Some things like the carpeting is pretty old and run down. The room was a nice size and bedding is super comfortable. Breakfast (served in a basement cellar) is basic with q few choices, but fresh OJ and tasty pastries were lovely. Staff is friendly. Location in the 6th is very nice, close to 2 major metro lines. The street is not particularly pretty and there was a construction (a big Holiday Inn is being built right across the street).

Wool Blankets are Heavy and uncomfortable . Besides this The concierge locks the front door from inside when he/she leaves from the deck and it could be a potential problem in case With fire, people will be trapped inside.

Safe is very small, does not hold a laptop or iPad.

Love the staff and prime location!
What I didn't like was the lack of amenities. There's a frigobar in the room but it is empty.
There is no safe in the room.
And no room service. Anything you ask for is placed in the elevator and one has to pick it up oneself.
Also,no one to help with the baggage.
Other than that, a lovely hotel!

Very cute rooms, well decorated and VERY clean. I prefer eiderdown comforters to wool blankets and the rooms didn’t have safes, but those are minor complaints. Front desk was really helpful and accommodating and the location is great.

Expensive run down hotel with bad rooms

Hotel room was not clean. It’s an old and run down hotel and too expensive for what it offers . Carpets have stains on it, bed was not comfortable at all and the furniture and closet in there seems to be 100 plus years old. It’s a really small hotel. On top of it, it’s hard to sleep as there is a lot of noise of the elevator and other stuff. Moreover, I paid too much for this hotel relative to the condition of the hotel. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone.

A Parisian hotel that is a true home from home!

Hotel Le Saint Grégoire is a truly individual hotel with a style all of its own that is located in a restored six-storey Parisian terraced building in the 6th arrondissement of the city. The Reception and lobby are comfortable and stylishly and tastefully furnished in a traditional style and include a seating area for where guests can sit and read. The Reception staff made us feel really welcome and did everything they could to help. The rooms are also comfortable, of a high standard and are furnished in a classic French style, with modern bathrooms.

We stayed at the Hotel Le Saint Grégoire for 4 nights. To us, it felt like a true Parisian \"home from home\" that is run with a personal and human touch! Every guest comes away from Reception feeling special. We would definitely stay there again!

Still a Gem after 20 years

We stayed here on our very first visit 20 years ago to Paris and a couple times later. Always pleased. Over the years we chose other hotels closer to the Eiffel tower or Seine. We decided to stay again because of price and we love the residential area. We were not disappointed. The staff were superb. Very friendly and helpful. The hotel extremely clean and the décor pleasing. It may need a light update in the rooms-the walls were plain and would benefit with paintings. There was a small one over the bed. However, the room was spotless and bed very very comfortable with plenty of pillows. This is usually not the case in the other hotels we stayed at. I would definitely come back. Although it's a bit of a walk to main events, that's half the fun in Paris. If you like Bon Marche, it's a 5 minute walk to it. If you like lots of shopping for many different items, there are many smaller stores all around. This area caters to locals and residents. It's quiet at night and love having many local restaurants nearby. Great bathtub too!

Having read all the other reviews, I really don’t know what all the fuss is about. It’s a good hotel, well situated near the metro, rooms were adequate. No particular issue other than price (but then this is Paris), but don’t believe the hype. It isn’t a home from home, it doesn’t feel like a 4 star hotel, I probably wouldn’t go back. Breakfasts were reasonable by continental standards, fruit could have been replenished in the three days we were there. Limited public area, garden is a small patio at the back. Hotel has a good photographer!

No fridge in room, no safe deposit in room, no coffee machine (Nespresso) in room, breakfast is basic minus any vegetables, in a cellar without air.
Cost was high for same city prices with higher accessories (Value).

I stay about 20+ days/year in Paris, and this was one of my never-again places, for $200/night.
Needs total renovation/attitude.

I normally don't publish reviews about hotels abroad since I travel abroad all the time with my job and I normally don't dedicate the time to this...but I will make an exception. To everyone coming to Paris for pleasure or business, look no further, this is your place! Everything is so well thought, from the very kind and dedicated service (even the staff are highly educated people that can discuss about arts, music, and culture) to the spacious rooms (compared to the typical Parisian hotels) to the romance and love to the furniture, to the music played in the background in the basement celllar where you will eat your breakfast, to how the breakfast is presented to you, to the quality of the croissants you will eat, to the comfort of the bed, the quality of the towels and the possibility to get a quiet room at your request (almost impossible in Paris!). EVERYTHING. I even was told that next time I come, If I have a special request for my breakfast like for example a special kind of milk replacement (I am vegetarian) I only need to contact them and they will have it ready for me. Even if I wish fruit in my room waiting, they will fix it. So what else could you expect?
And how is this possible? Well, I met the owner who comes by EVERYDAY just to make sure everything is at it should be. The internet works great and you really feel welcomed.

The rooms are not large, but the bathrooms are very nice. Very quiet area. Delightful breakfast area in the basement. Breakfast was a bread basket with bread and croissants, cheese, jam, fruit, freshly squeezed orange juice, yoghurt. Extremely close to everything (metro stops, many attractions). I would definitely stay here again. The wifi was adequate.

we were 4 and every day they brought us food and drinks for 3 after they serve you the first time they don't come back to see if you need anything and you need to go to the kitchen to find them and after asking you get a very unpleasant face
the first room we got was with strong smell of cigarettes and after one night they change a room with no problem
All together nice hotel with excellent staff in the reception but the staff from the breakfast made the experience not so good

Re visit to beloved Paris

Almost everything about a hotel stay are good with the exception of not having a mini fridge in room, an inconvenience to not being able to buy small amount of food as well as local wine since we're in the land that these are well known for. To the team credit, they did mention that we could store them in the fridge downstairs, however it's full of alcoholic drinks & almost impossible to put anything else into it.
Thank you to the team: front desk, breakfast as well as house keeping for a pleasant stay.

A gem in St Germain des Pres

If you like stylish boutique hotels, you will love Hotel le Saint Gregoire. It is full of charm and the welcome you receive is truly warm. I was travelling with my elderly mum and the manager and staff were so kind to her. We had a twin room on the third floor which was spacious and well appointed with very comfortable beds. The small lounge area on the ground floor is a pleasant place to sit, relax, and enjoy a coffee or a glass of wine. The basement breakfast room is also lovely and the continental breakfast is generous and good quality. I've never given a \"10 out of 10\" review before but I think this place deserves it.

Close to Metro(St. Placide and Rennes), several nice cafes an restaurants within a three blick radius and very nice staff

Nice old style French hotel tucked away.

Nice location in the Montparnasse area very close to St Placide Metro stop (line 4).

Hotel staff were friendly. Breakfast is in the basement - cosy little area that was probably once an old cellar - gave it a little charm. Breakfast itself is as you would expect for France your basic continental but you get a few pieces of viennoiserie along with some Baguette, cheese, ham and fresh yoghurt. There's also cereal and of course coffee - ordering cafe long you get a decent sized pot for one. All in all more than enough to get the day started.

This was my second stay...there will be a third. Small boutique hotel. It's like staying at someone's home. Each room unique furnished with antiques. Awesome staff

Wonderful location; great staff

The location of this hotel is outstanding. It is on a quiet street but just a short distance from the Metro. The staff are outstanding people and extraordinarily helpful. The rooms, however, are pretty ordinary for the money.

Good Location

Classic small hotel in Paris. Small rooms but all rooms in Paris are. Staff is very accommodating.
