Staff member walked into our room without knocking and started talking to us, in French and had no idea what she was saying but she lingered and wouldn’t leave. The bathroom was tiny and one of the hooks fell out. Overall our stay was enjoyable and the rest of the staff were great.

Madrigal Hotel Review

The hotel staff was very accommodating and helpful and the breakfast was excellent. It was convenient to have their restaurants for lunch and dinner part of the hotel. The only inconvenience was the rooms were very small with no closet to hang our clothes or a place to put our luggage except on the floor.

Unfortunately building work right outside the room. Need to provide more coffee for 4 people than 2 sachets and some type of powder milk/creamer. Bathroom door repeatedly slides open offering no privacy. Shower set up poor design as floor gets flooded despite best attempts. Reception staff very friendly and helpful but guy at breakfast space was downright rude and extremely unwelcoming.

Didn’t have half the facilities as advertised on your website. The facilities they did have weren’t open. Check in staff unaware of the hotel’s facilities that were available and ignorant of the surrounding area. No air conditioning in 40c temperature, the room was unsafe to sleep in. Expedia failed to address these issues at the time of our check in.

No air conditioning which was really unsatisfactory in the heat of Paris this week.

Breakfast very basic indeed - and took too much time to be prepared. There are smarter ways to arrange a better quality breakfast.

Restaurant and bar availability very poor - it was rarely open and could not get a drink from anywhere. Okay the bar/restaurant also had no air conditioning which was unbearable for us at breakfast, and watching the staff trying to work in that heat was upsetting.

Overall, poor quality for the price. Very basic indeed.

However staff were very friendly and location good.

The hotel was lovely. The rooms are small but perfectly thought out the hotel was slightly further out than I was expecting. There was a great boulangerie patisserie across the road. The metro was also right outside the hotel, making it convenient to get places. However, in the evening it’s not very lively compared to St Germain area.

The staff were very accommodating & oh so friendly! The front desk staff & the staff at the bar & restaurants were very nice & easy/open to talk to. The breakfast was very good as well. The hotel is very convenient to public transportation with a metro stop right out the front door. The neighborhood is quiet and safe. The staff are exceedingly friendly and the rooms clean and updated. There are multiple options for breakfast at very reasonable prices and the food is good and fresh. Services are close by.

Tourist BEWARE! This Hotel was poisoning their guests knowingly with no care. We stayed here for 3 nights while they decided to change thier carpets and use toxic glue to glue the carpet to the flooring. The Glue smell spread throughout the whole Hotel and us and other guests were breathing in the toxic fumes through our whole stay. When we complained about it their response was too bad, go to another Hotel. Our whole grpup ended up getting severe respiratory infections we are still recovering from. Really wonder why their workers were using full respirator masks while working on the carpets. We would never stay here again!

The hotel was modern and unique with the design in the room. We went in the summer time and the room had only a fan without AC, so the room was very warm with the direct sun in the room. Overall, the stay was good and would recommend for anyone who likes convenience to walkable distance to all the attractions. Warning for not having AC.

We loved this hotel, except for the carpet in our room. It was really worn and not very clean. Otherwise, it is a cute boutique hotel. We were told that only 3 rooms on each floor have air conditioning, and unfortunately ours did not. There was a floor fan which worked fine, but additional air was not possible with the balcony door open as the street noise is loud. The staff was outstanding!

Absolutely loved my stay at this hotel! Modern, clean and Perfect location with metro right outside, various food options nearby and a pharmacy. The only thing I would say is that the room got very hot over night and we would wake up with headaches from the heat. The bathroom is also very small with not much room to move but still great for a Paris size room and a few nights in Paris!
Overall I would definitely stay at this hotel again.

The staff were very friendly, and the hotel decor was funky and modern. I booked a mignonne room - small double - which was cute as the name means (some people might find the shower a bit too slim). On the ground floor the restaurant and bar attached to the hotel seems popular with locals as well, which is good. There is also a friendly local bar/brasserie on the corner. Metro is almost right outside the hotel door.

Close to the metro and an amazing bakery across the street. Things were clean and the staff were friendly and able to speak with us in English. Walls are a little thin as you can hear the room next to you but overall it was a great stay for 3 quick days.

The hotel has all the amenities needed if you are visiting Paris. It is close to restaurants and transportation. Although the rooms are small and the carpets might need cleaning, you have all you need for a wonderful stay in the city of lights. Will definitely stay here again!

We booked a 4 night stay in this hotel and to say it was amazing is an understatement! We loved every minute, loved the modern decor in the room, and the view we had from our window (we could even see the top of the eiffel tower from our window). The dog in reception was a major bonus too! The metro is right at your door step therefore makes this hotel extremely convenient! Staff were extremely friendly and helpful also. We have definitely agreed to stay here on our next return!
The room was small, however didn't cloud our judgment at all.

It's a trap!

I booked a large room and they gave me a tiny room. I went to argue with them and they said the picture is only for reference. I booked a 183 square feet room and they gave me a 113 square feet room which isn't big enough to open my hand luggage. I mean WHAT?

But they do have a lovely fluffy dog in the reception=)

Wouldn’t stay for longer than one night

Stayed one night; room was clean but small (as most rooms are in Paris hotels). Shower was very small and the shower door did not close well so water ended up all over the bathroom floor. Door to the bathroom was also only a sliding barn door so if you want total privacy in the small room, you won’t get it. Location was good, construction was happening right beside the hotel though. Sound carries a little from the next room but fairly well soundproofed from outside traffic noise. Bed was quite comfortable.

Terrible experience!

Unfortunately it was a terrible experience. The hotel was OK, but the hotel employees asked me for a credit card to make a supposed \"guarantee charge\" and finally they charged me twice for the room. We had previously paid through hotels.com and they already charged again at the hotel. More than a month has passed since that and they have simply stopped answering my emails and do not want to return the money.

The decor was pretty modern /eclectic and funky. There was nice restaurant and patisserie close by and inoyna 30 min walk to the Eiffel Tower.
I also found that it was central to everything as it was no more then 15 euro in a taxi from a he train station tower arc de Triomphe and Gare de l’Est station

Quiet location if you ignore the building works that we’re occurring at the time on weekdays. A fridge in the room would have been handy. Very close to Gare Montparnasse, which is a big plus if travelling anywhere by fast train.

It’s very clean , new and enough facilities. It’s close to all of them in southern Paris. You walk to Jardin du Luxembourg, and Eiffel Tower. It’s 50 feet’s away from pasture metropolitan. Or take bus #95 rest u can imagine. Honestly for the price, I have only experienced really crap hotels in Paris before . This is stress less and easy , well clean and new ! Enjoy the stay

The property is in a great local. There is easy access to the tube and the Montparnasse neighbourhood. We stayed during a heat wave but the rooms are not air conditioned . Even with a fan sleep was fleeting. There was too much traffic noise to have the balcony doors open.

Little, friendly hotel in a good location

Staff, location and design of the hotel was great. Staff was very friendly. Hotel is very close to Pasteur metro. You can easily go everywhere and walk to posh areas. But there’s a construction beside the hotel and they started drilling at 8.15 in the morning. I would definitely stay there again once the construction finishes. Be sure to check with the construction before making a reservation.

Great hotel that was within walking distance of many attractions. We primarily stayed there to visit the Eiffel Tower and would highly recommend! It feels less touristy where the hotel is but near plenty of restaurants and cafes, but you can experience more of French culture. Also literally right next to the metro so very easy to get to by public transportation! The staff was very friendly and accommodating and helpful with any questions we had! The rooms were very clean and nice and had french doors that opened up to the street below with a beautiful

A very good three star hotel. Clean and generally friendly. The best feature was its location - though away from the tourist areas it is in the heart of a vibrant local dining and bar scene. We went looking for crepes one evening and found 12 creameries on the next street. The only problem;em was choosing one.
