Overall stay was good - staff were accommodating and spoke english - the rooms were clean and comfortable the complimentary drinks and water in fridges was a nice touch - my only gripe would be no milk although there were coffee pods and a range of tea bags - it was great that we could leave our luggage in the hotel in our last day as our flight was in the evening. I also thought the breakfast not worth the 20 Euros - it was a very limited choice.

Not impressed with the hotel room for the price paid. Family room was very small and with very bad lighting. No proper ceiling lamp. The location of the hotel was perfect though.
All staff were nice and helpful. Delicious coffee in the place downstairs and also very tasty food in the hotel restaurant.

Front desk staff were very rude. After checking in, I stopped by to let them know that my room was made for two people and not four, as listed in the reservation. No apology or anything just an annoyed response that they would get it done. Came back to the room a couple hours later, the couch was converted to sleep two additional people, however no additional towels or cups were provided. The room overall was not in a four star state. The bathroom was dirty, hair in the shower, and black mold in the corners of the shower. The hallway area on our floor had a very strong smell of bleach and feces, disgusting! The only positive thing I can say about this place is that the restaurant staff were very nice, friendly, and helpful. Overall, the value for the rate charged is not there. Front desk needs to seriously improve on customer service skills.

The property’s rooms are spacious as compared to most hotels in Paris. It is safe with a police station just across the street.

We had a room qoth a double bed and a sofa bed, was very snug. Odd arrangement with the toulet separate to the bathroom with no sink in the toilet so you have to go across to the bathroom to wash hands.
Breakfast was quite good.
Expensive parking.
Close to a metro station which was handy but long walk to other attractions
Rooftop bar was nice but €17 a cocktail where the bars near Notre-Dame have happy hour for several hours of the evening and cocktails are around €6

Guy was exceptional and his care made it worthwhile to stay at the Novotel Rue de Vaugirard.
The closing of the local Metro was inconvenient. Elevators were not working regularly. Thermostat broke once in upgraded room (electrical short circuit) and locked out of thermostat in initial room.

The room was too small for one bathroom so it was in 2, one toilet and one sink and bathtub those were also small too. Overall the everything is good. The area is the best there is in Paris. There are lots of metro around the area although some were close for maintenance. There were tons of bus stations and most of the areas we went were accessible through metro and bus.thanks lots to Novartol management .

The service from the staff at the reception desk was excellent. All staff members we encountered were very polite and helpful. The hotel location is great for travelling via Metro into Central Paris. We were able to walk to the Eiffel Tower in 25 minutes from the hotel.

This property has one major flaw, NO Air Conditioning. They advertise it having AC, but in no way is it actually AC. Read other’s reviews, they say the same thing. Never were we able to get our room temperature below 82-85 degrees Fahrenheit. They sent two different technicians on two separate days and it was the same lies, “it will cool down soon you just checked in and turned it ON.” Or “we turned the hotels AC down to a cooler temperature and now your rooms air will be colder as well.” Lies, lies, lies. Same story different day, again read other person’s reviews. To pay $500 a night and not have AC, do yourself a favor and go anywhere else, but here. I’m a pilot for the airlines and fly all over the world. My company puts us in Novotel hotels all over Europe, they would never approve this hotel based on the AC not working properly. The staff was friendly and the breakfast was really good. However, it can’t make up for the miserable experience with the AC not working and 90 degree temps outside.

El Novotel Paris Vaugirard Montparnasse es un hotel muy lindo y bien ubicado, cerca de todo. Me gustó mucho la decoración, la atención del personal fue muy buena, la limpieza excelente y el desayuno delicioso.

Sin embargo, no lo volvería a elegir para viajar en familia. La habitación es demasiado pequeña para cuatro personas, no hay suficiente espacio y se vuelve incómodo. Además, el aire acondicionado del hotel es muy deficiente; pasamos mucho calor durante nuestra estadía.

Otro punto importante es que la estación de policía está justo en frente, y eso significa ruido constante a toda hora, lo cual afectó nuestro descanso. A pesar de estos detalles, le doy una buena calificación por su limpieza, desayuno y personal.

While the property is nice and the breakfast was quite good, the hotel restaurant had a limited menu and also served as the in-room menu exclusively, which was disappointing. Finding the hotel was a challenge as the entrance is prominently branded with the restaurant name and the word “Novotel” appearing behind plants or in very small font size making it unclear that it is, in fact, the hotel. The “executive suites” are converted former conference rooms. The view was amazing; however, our room had the distinct odor of sewer gas emanating from somewhere (despite the bathroom doors being closed), requiring the balcony door to be opened throughout the day and night. Unlikely to return.

We stayed 6 nights. Place was mostly close to where we wanted to go for touristy attraction. Close to catch the Metro. We requested a fan several times since the a/c wasn’t operational in our room the time of our stay. Our request were acknowledged but never fulfilled for it. Overall, decent place to stay.

PROS:Excellent hotel, great location, safe place (in front of a Police statio), near many stores, restaurants/bars, metro station. But police station at night may become noisy.
CONS:There is zero option to get a slightly earlier check-in there. and for a reason hard to understand, the AIR CONDITIONED is set centrally by the hotel. The control in the room only allows you to raise the temp, never to lower it. In summary: we spent 3 nights complaining of feeling hot, and the summer heat was only about to start. I can't imagine staying there late July to early September. When checking out, a couple more clients were at the front desk asking what was wrong with the air conditioning.

The rooms are small and not kids friendly. During our stay the hotel had construction and was very annoying for a good sleep.
If you travel in summer, the rooms very super hot and the A/C doesn’t work.
I stayed with kids and family and i do not recommend if you are doing the same.
The hotel is not anywhere closer to the Eiffel Tower. The only view to the tower is from rooftop bar and the bar requires reservations and purchase.

Modern hotels nice area but showering burns feet

The hotel was modern and clean, would consider returning again. Nice area within walking distance to local bakeries and shops and even to the Eiffel tower.
A couple small issues:
- Shower was a weird; very hot water came out of bath spout even when showering.
- Check in said before midnight which was strange, but they let us check in after midnight which was nice.

I was overcharged for taxes and charged for breakfast we never had. I’ve been emailing to get things straight and they have yet to credit my card. I attempted to tell the attendant I had already paid and I was dismissed and told I owed MORE taxes. I’m forced to make a claim with my credit card company.

The room we stayed in was spacious and we loved the water machine in the hallway where we could get fresh sparkling or still water! The rooftop bar had excellent cocktails and views. We enjoyed the coffee shop connected to the lobby, as well. Close to a few metro stops but we mostly walked everywhere. It was a lovely hotel!

We are a family of parents and 2 kids all excited with minimal expectation. We were given a corner room 347 of the Hotel. Our challenge started as soon as we entered the room. We had a weird smell and thought it was due to dampness as you have your restroom and bath when you enter the room. We adjusted and complained to front desk about it to have someone look into it. Nothing was done the first day of our 4 nights stay. The second day we asked if we can be given a different room or have someone refresh the room when we were away for site seeing. We came back in the evening and found same problem. I asked to speak to the manager. They entered all the notes. Next day morning no calls from manager. We went down that evening and asked for another room and now there was nothing available per front desk. They ran a fan and it helped but smell was back that night. We spoke to manager and got room changed for last night. This ruined our whole experience and we were told we will be compensated with credit for our trip. We haven’t heard back until now. It’s been over three days.

Please avoid room 347 as there is something wrong with that room. We are upset because it ruined our vacation and it’s only fair that the management takes responsibility and do right.

Overall unimpressive stay - could be result of high occupancy - the lobby area is small and poorly laid out. It was cramped, and after battling the crowds on Paris streets all day you hope to come into a place of respite. The rooms are mediocre - while you can tell they’ve renovated somewhat recently, the quality is lacking - it gave the feeling of disrepair.

Great bar upstairs and buffet was great. The only suggestion is the AC. It’s either controlled by the hotel or ours just didn’t work. Also, recommend that the staff inform guests how to get into the hotel if you’re out late - we Gad gotten back from Disney at 1am and the doors were locked. Luckily, the janitor happened to pass by and opened the doors for us.

Wonderful quiet neighborhood thats located within walking distance to the metro. The staff was friendly and the food was beyond amazing!! The rooftop lounge give a beautiful clear view of the Eiffel tower. Rooms were small, and we had a light that was broken with a exposed bulb. I definitely would recommend.

Would never stay here again. The stay at FOH have no manners and our check in although was supposed to be “at” 3pm, we arrived and was told it’s “from” 3pm. One of the rooms wasn’t ready u til 5pm for which we got 2 drinks vouchers on the rooftop terrace. We were allowed to check out at 2pm although we checked out earlier as we didn’t want to stay another minute in the hotel. Breakfast was very minimalistic, and whilst the view on the rooftop bar was great, drinks selection was very poor

The staff are available to assists 24 hrs/ day. Encountered
few problems, but staff are always willing to sort things out ASAP. The aircon was not cold enough for a comfortable sleep, but fan was provided when requested. No English channel on the TV program for kids/adults to enjoy. Accommodation is accessible to shops and metro station.

My train trip was canceled because of the strike and severe disturbances in Paris. I was traveling from overseas with children and of course no other way to reach Paris in a day by other means. Had paid in advance 2 family rooms and hotel did not reimburse me. Lost a lot of money. Not my first stay at this hotel but will never choose them again 😡

Easy check in and ability to leave luggage after check out. Simple room with bar fridge and tea/coffee making. Ordered a travel cot for our toddler, told to use the fold out sofa instead - first hotel in all our travels to do so. Room was clean, fast lift service when not being used for games by kids. Nice view from
Rooftop terrace, although bar area only open for couple months each year.
Downsides- awoken before 7am local time with banging/maintenances work - no sleep. the breakfast was ok but very basic compared to other hotels and unfortunately the service lady in that morning was just a little rude. We asked for a high chair (under 2yrs toddler) no just use a chair - then got told to keep child sitting in chair - deep low chairs so he couldn’t actually have eyes above tables.. needless to say he kept trying to stand on chair to actually eat.. lots of kids running around the hotel without parent supervision, playing in lifts and staff allowing this to occur. On two occasions in sitting area we had our coffee spilt onto us and out papers due to children playing chase games in the sitting area.. on both occasions parents unaware and no staff assistance. (I’m talking full cups we had just paid for knocked over and when coffee is 5.10€ a cup it’s rather expensive). Fortunately one family witnessed their children’s behaviour and removed them however others allowed the chasing running to continue - this all occurs in lobby area where plenty of check in staff are also.

הזמנו 2 חדרים למשפחה של 5 נפשות לארבע לילות. הצוות מאוד נעים ושירותי. המלון נחמד אבל הסתבר לנו בבוקר עם הקימה שהקומה השלישית מעלינו עוברת שיפוץ כללי. רעש בלתי נסבל. לא רשום באתר ולא נאמר לנו בקבלה. לשמחתינו החליפו לנו חדרים לקומה השישית. לא שונה הרבה מבחינת הרעש אבל הנוף למגדל אייפל פיצה על כך. החדרים לא גדולים כמצופה מפריז, חדרי אמבטיה ושירותים קטנטנים. ארוחת בוקר נחמדה אך לא מגוונת. המלון מרוחק מאוד מהמרכז. תחנת מטרו מאוד קרובה אך דורש להחליף לעיתים מטרו או שניים.
ליד המלון מעט מאוד מסעדות. מתאים רק למי שמחפש מלון זול יחסית למשפחה גדולה.
