First stop on our France trip. Room was neat and orderly; I was tickled that there were no right angles. Very happy to have coffee downstairs. There was only one elevator, which was small; we had to wait to go up and down with suitcases on occasion. No complaints. I'd stay here again.

It’s close to the metro and a few places to get necessities and eat. However this property is in disrepair. The shower and tub are dangerous. Treads on stairs flopping around. No elevator in our building. We had to walk outside to get to our rooms which were in the pavilion. Didn’t receive either room type we requested. Carpets stained and very old.

Abaca Messidor by Happyculture It was a very good experience. It was right next to Metro station \"Convention\", just 2 minutes walking distance and other transportation like bus, Bolt transportation ( BOLT Its app you need to download from Apple Store or Google Play Store works like Uber & Lyft fair price Taxi might be a little expensive but Metro was the best way of transportation and good price to buy Full day packages use it for the whole day) The room was small, but perfect for 2 people, clean bathroom and comfortable beds. The staff was very friendly and gave us key chain of Paris Eiffel Tower as a welcome gesture. (Special staff called Feti he was a very nice guy who took a good care of us)
I loved the big window with the huge double door.There was an electric kettle with 2 mugs and tea bags. Right next to the hotel is a huge super market they have food, drinks, clothes make-up, very good restaurant, Café, Pharmacy and We even have a chance to go to very good Ethiopian resturant called 'Habesha Ethiopian restaurant' 10-12 min walking distance Since i am from Ethiopian & my girl friend is from Brazil who lives in Dallas Tx, we love eating Ethiopian food & lot of French Italian food & good Wine to experience & other very good restaurants with walking distance, Eiffel Tower & Museums other beautiful sites are very close to the hotel 30-45 minute with Metro to visit.

Fethi at check in was LOVELY, friendly, welcoming and helpful. This hotel is close to the train, Monoprix right next door (food, groceries, clothing), and we walked everywhere (Eiffel tower, louvre and notre dame). We had a wonderful stay. It’s nothing fancy but the beds are comfy and the price was good!

This is a pleasant place to stay. We had a room off of the garden. It was comfortable but a bit dated. We liked that we could leave the patio door open with security shutter down to get fresh air at night. The staff was very friendly and spoke English. There are cafes, restaurants, bars, and shops nearby. There is a Monoprix a few doors down.

We had a room for 3 people. We were put out in the back and the stairway area leading to the room smelled moldy and mildew. There was a common sitting area outside our window and people would smoke which would filter up to our room and they would be out there half the night partying and keeping us awake.

The staff was very nice and helpful. The area around the hotel was good with lots of places to eat and not far from the Metro.

This hotel was wonderful. An easy two minute walk to the Convention Metro line that gets you anywhere in Paris with transfers. A Monoprix store next door was great for getting food and water. Several nice restaurants in the area made for a good dining experience. The best thing though is we had a ground floor room that had a table and chairs to enjoy a bottle of wine or evening drinks or even your morning coffee. Staff let us check in early and in the afternoon there were macaroons and tea in the lobby to enjoy. For the price we paid this room was a great deal. Next time I go to Paris we will stay here again.

Do not go to this place with your family. I booked this place for 2 nights with my elderly grandmother and they put us in a non-accessible room on the 4th floor! THERE WAS NO ELEVATOR to get to the room. My grandmother has mobility issues and had extreme difficulty climbing the several sets of stairs. We asked the front desk for help with this and they just said that there were no other rooms available for families. THE ADVERT says that there is an elevator, but this is not the case for all rooms. The staff is terrible, rude and unprepared. We arrived at the hotel to check in at 2:40 pm and were told that our room would only be ready after 3:30 pm. The furniture is old, the hallways are horrible and smelly. The reception staff barely speaks English. The only good thing about this hotel was the breakfast, which, although the same every day, was good and the kitchen staff was friendly. I do not recommend this place. They do not care about their customers.

My boyfriend and I stayed there for 4 nights, I have to say I was really impressed by the receptionist they were all super kind and helpful. Always with a smile on their faces and they go above and beyond to help us. The Hotel was perfectly located close to the metro, restaurants, grocery store and pharmacy. We actually walked back to the hotel after visiting the Eiffel Tower. If I ever visit Paris again I will definitely stay there.

Very kind and helpful staff. The room was clean but the furniture was old. There is coffee and tea available for self service as much as we needed as well as bottle of water we could take to the room. The Hotel is located in a very nice neighborhood, near public transport and very nice restaurant. There are not many parking spots and we did not know that we needed to book a spot in advance, thankfully we found a parking space near the entrance with the advice of the staff. Overall very nice stay, professional staff that are pleasant.

great staff! They were so lovely and welcoming, absolute delight to speak to :) the location is perfect, literally a one minute walk to the nearest metro. I got this hotel as a place pretty much only to sleep. While it served that purpose, the service frustrated me greatly.

Their card machine was broken (arrived Monday night still broken Wednesday on checkout). This forced me to pay the city tax by cash, despite repeated effort to get them to send me some form of a link. Taking cash out always results in a fee in a foreign country. Additionally the minimum withdrawal from the nearest ATM was 20 euros. Luckily they provided two 10s because upon paying 10 for the 7 owed I was informed they didn’t have cash.

In general your broken machine is not your customers’ problem, if it is broken at the very least you should have cash ready for change or communicate the lack of change available before sending someone off to an ATM. Just a very poorly handled situation.

I had a really great stay at Hotel Abaca Messidor. Its a cute little property that I found really adorable. Most of all, the staff was just awesome. Everyone was super friendly, super helpful, and incredibly patient with my imperfect french. The room was small but perfect for my needs. I would rate this as an excellent budget hotel. It aint the Ritz, but it was comfy, safe, and a great stop on my trip.

Oh and its right next to a grocery store which was a huge plus. Also within a couple blocks are some lovely cafe’s and late night food places.

Front desk manager was wonderful! Had a box of chocolates waiting for us upon arrival. He let us check in a little early, as we were exhausted from an overnight flight and always offered to call us a taxi when we went out. However, we were quite close to the metro entrance as well as several dining options and bakeries (also shopping and services). It was very rainy, so we weren't able to enjoy the garden this time. But those visiting in spring will get to appreciate the birds and greenery from more than their window. Had enough of the European charm i craved but still the modern conveniences we needed.

What I didn't like is that we paid for a better hotel room and received one which was below the level of what we paid, we were told that the hotel was fully booked and that they could not offer us the room that we paid for. So basically we got less than what we paid for.

As I was out all day this hotel was perfect if you plan to spend your time sightseeing and just need a place to sleep and get ready. My single room was good I was expecting a single bed but it turned out to be double bed, on the first day the room did smell a bit musty this could be as I checked in late and windows were shut, bathroom was modern and very clean. The hotel kindly left bottles of water in the room.

We loved the area , it was 3 minutes to the metro , grocery store, tour areas . The staff helped us with finding the best way to get around . The staff was very accommodating to our needs The breakfast was good . It was a very clean room and it was air conditioned unlike other hotels. It was a romantic get away for us . The staff was excellent .

Our experience was decent, but maybe a close call?

Stayed here for just over a week while attending a conference at the nearby convention centre. The walking distance to the centre is very reasonable, or otherwise a single stop subway stop. The staff here were friendly, and mostly helpful. The rooms are small, but reasonable for a place you mostly retire to for sleep. There is only one tiny elevator, that fits only two people, so this may be a problem if you will be coming and going frequently and can't manage the stairs. We had three rooms booked for our party, and had only one significant problem among them, a broken shower head. However, this took them three days to fix, as we arrived on a Friday, and apparently no one is capable of using a screwdriver on weekends. This shouldn't be an issue for most people, but didn't reflect well on their abilities. The thing that sounds like it will be an issue is room type. We arrived a little earlier than our conference dates, and the hotel wasn't very busy. As booked, we received one room with one bed, and two rooms with two beds. However, as more guests arrived, I overheard at least two conversations about two-bed rooms being booked in advance, but unavailable at check in. Given that they're listing specific room types and counts on Expedia (and at different costs), it's entirely unacceptable that there is ever a mismatch in booked room type, and rooms available at check-in.

I would be very hesitant to book this hotel if the room type is important to you, and it's a busy time.

Average clean Hotel Very well situated.

This Hotel is very average nothing to write home about! Small rooms with basic decor and a small lobby.
Front desk is very nice and it is very well situated. Right infront of the hotel are all the cafes, pastery shops and boutiques as well as the Cenvention station. If you are looking for a clean and inexpensive hotel that is central this one is a good choice if you are looking for a pretty hotel with nice rooms look elsewhere there are way prettier and more charming hotels around.

Great lodging for Paris

Great location and comfort for staying in Paris. Close Metro station and shopping for any kind of a traveler's needs are right next to this hotel plus excellent outdoor \"Paris style\" dining. pastry shops. Super experience that I would recommend to everyone. WiFi was slow and sporadic.

I missed the old fashioned elevator

When we were there in 1992, before Quality took over, the old fashioned cage elevator was in existence. Sad to see they took out the cage door and enclosed it with paneling...
