I stayed Max Hotel alone, and it was the best accomodation around zone 14 (14th arr.) with reasonable price. Room was clean, air conditioning was fantastic, staffs at the front desk were all friendly, helpful, and good at English. It would be far better if there is a small refrigirator in each room; there wasn't.

Lovely little boutique hotel in pleasant area near to Metro stops, restaurants, parks. The staff were polite but a little aloof. Our room was just off reception so a bit noisy early in the morning when the reception area is being prepared for breakfast. The library/reception/breakfast area are all one space. Our room was small with no view and the bed and pillows were not comfortable. Maybe the other upstairs rooms were better.

Excellent location in a quiet suburb with plenty of good bars, cafes etc around. Well served by Metro and Buses in to the city but at time of writing (Spt 22) metro line 4 is closed most days in the morning. Since the hotel is a little far out from the city its worth noting. Plenty of buses as options.
The hotel was clean, decor was nice, service was friendly and responsive to any issues.
Only complaint is the room (35) is very small to be sold as a double, really too small. But clean, quiet and nicely decorated with a nice balcony to sit on.

Always reliable. Clean, quiet, professional and friendly service. Rooms are typically small but well setup and stylish. Good for travelling and exploring Paris. The local area is residential and commercial, easy to get around with the Metro or a 25 minute walk to left bank. Use the RER train between Denfert-Rocherau and CDG, walk to Montparnasse trains etc. Plenty of local restaurants.

Affordable prices compared to the rest of Paris. The room was tiny with space only for the bed and not much else. Shower was small and took some time to heat up but was otherwise fine. The Wi-Fi had a lot of dropouts but when it worked it was fast enough to stream Netflix without any issue. The breakfast is not worth the 11 euros they charge per day - it is just cereal and bread. The location is good, just a minute or two walk to the metro station (total time of 20-30 minutes to get to most sight-seeing destinations in Paris, usually have to change trains 1-2 times) and plenty of shops and food options nearby.

Lovely stay, near several awesome bakeries and La Fabrica, where they have the most delicious Margarita pizza I’ve ever had. Very close to the Metro. If you’re coming from the airport it tells you to get off at Denfert-Rouchereau but instead of walking the mile or so with heavy luggage, you can grab the M4 to Alésia and it’s literally a block to the hotel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Had a great stay!

We went to Paris to see our son who is studying there for the semester. Staying at Max Hotel put us quite close to his apartment and in a great neighborhood! Staff at the hotel were extremely friendly and helpful, room was clean, pleasant and quiet, breakfast was good and area had all that we needed along with easy access to everything by metro and RER. Best choice we could have made!

Would come back...

No fuzz hotel with clean modern rooms, good showers and nespresso machines. Metro super close so easy to move around. We didn’t get the breakfast but they had an amazing bakery super close. Lots of restaurant options nearby. If you are picky on noise request a room on the quiet side. We had no noise. Paris has small rooms so expect the same but super functional and nice. We would come back.

Hotel Max - great find!

Hotel Max was a lovely place to stay whilst in Paris. Slightly out of the centre but easy to get to by metro (stop very nearby) and the neighbourhood felt safe even late at night. Supermarkets were just around the corner. The staff were friendly and they stored our bags for us on our departure day. The bathroom could have been cleaned a bit better but other than that the room was lovely. Air conditioning was very much appreciated in such hot weather, there was a safe in the room to store our valuables and the bed was extremely comfortable The room was small but that's to be expected in such a city. I would recommend this hotel and plan on staying there on our next visit.

We really enjoyed this hotel! It is small, but quite nice. The staff were all extremely pleasant and helpful. Our room was on the third (top) floor. The lift is rather small, so we took the stairs when we didn’t have our luggage. The bed was a bit firm for our tastes, but the room was smartly decorated.
The small but adequate bathroom is stocked with paraben-free amenities. The door is frosted glass which, while visually very appealing, doesn’t give the user a ton of privacy, so just something to keep in mind.
The hotel has a cute terrace on the 3rd floor for guests to use, as well as a few chairs in a sort of garden area our front.
We didn’t get the hotel’s breakfast, so I can’t comment on that. There were several great restaurants in the area - Momento, an Italian restaurant, has an English menu with multilingual staff. There is also a bakery just a few doors down. Academie du Pain was delicious and reasonably priced. We had breakfast there most days after we discovered it.

They keep your key for you when you leave, so you don’t have to worry about losing it. Multilingual front office staff are available 24 hours a day. In a week, we only had to wait for our key once because someone else was checking in when we came back. We probably could have asked for it, anyway, but didn’t mind waiting.

Overall quite a charming hotel! Would definitely recommend to others.

As a business traveller I found my room to be a bit small, and the chair and table in the room not so comfortable for doing work.

No fridge in the room - this was my main concern. I needed it for food and water.

Breakfast at the hotel - buffet style, very good. Nothing cooked. Just breads, cheese, coffee, boiled eggs, cold cuts e.t.c but very good.

Wifi - very good.

Really liked the area, the hotel is a 4-minute walk to Alesia metro station which is very convenient for exploring Paris. Soundproofing could use work, we were woken up at 5am 3 nights in a row thanks to neighbors that kept strange hours. Beds are also not very comfortable despite being large, we all woke up quite sore. Shower takes a looong time to warm up. A little odd in terms of keys - the front desk is manned 24 hours a day and you must hand the keys back to them whenever you leave the hotel. The hallways and lift are incredibly cramped, can barely fit 2 people. I've never stayed at a place that was so tight in terms of space. Rooms are also a bit small, but not nearly as bad as the halls. Front desk and cleaning ladies were all great. Fashionable/modern hotel design too.

Great boutique hotel

Great hotel in the 14th arrondissement. Lots of restos and shops in the area, and you get much more of a local feel here. It's also right next to the subway so you can get around easily.

My room was clean and well-furnished (even had a small table and chair along with a Nespresso machine and pods), and the bed was SUPER comfortable. I appreciated being able to open the window - a rarity in most hotels! The only 'negative' (if you want to call it that) was that the bathroom was VERY small and the shower had partial coverage, meaning that only half of it had a glass 'wall' which makes it easy to get water outside the actual shower stall. I also frequently bumped into the door or sink because space is rather restricted!

All of that said, I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again - terrific accommodations.

The hotel is quaint and very clean with quite modern amenities. I was very impressed by the shower in the room, generally my biggest concern when I travel to Europe.

The staff are attentive to detail, extremely kind, caring and they all go above and beyond including the cleaning lady who is also absolutely incredible. My only small hiccup was the quality of the sheets, it's unfortunate they are not of a better quality.

Having said this the hotel and it's staff are incredible. My family amd friends have already started using it and I will be staying there going forward for all my Paris trips.

Brilliant hotel - close to metro, lovely room

The room was lovely .- clean, bright, artistically-decorated, very comfy bed, and a decent size. There was also a free safe in the room which was useful. Location was great - a very short walk to Alesia metro station, close to a great 24h cafe restaurant and shops, and quiet at night.

Staff were lovely, always greeted when we entered and left (as the desk was open 24hr we didn't need to take our keys with us which was handy, too), and even let us keep our bags in storage for free after check-out as we weren't getting a flight home until the evening.

All in all, very little to nothing to complain about. The bathroom was small but that's expected for the price, and the air conditioning was too cold but we managed to turn it down after the first night.

Great for commuting, amazing for solo stay

Traveling solo as a young American tourist, I was initially nervous about booking a boutique hotel. The Max Hotel exceeded my expectations for comfort and accessibility. I came by metro and traveled that way for the remainder of the trip, and the Max was incredibly accessible for this purpose, as it is only a block or so from Alesia, a major stop. It's also an incredibly short distance from Montparnasse train station, which was only a 6 minute/9 euro taxi ride.
The room was spacious for one, the bed was very warm and comfortable, and the bathroom was lovely. The cleaning service was lovely and helpful, offering whatever we needed with a smile. The front desk was also fluent in English, which eased my anxieties greatly. They are available 24/7 and allowed me to borrow an adapter and bottle opener as needed.
Would highly recommend for a quintessentially Parisian experience with great access to transportation!

Very nice little hotel in the 14th arrondissement. Close to parc Montsouris, a brand new Gaumont cinéma a few blocks away, one kilometer from tour Montparnasse. Stayed at this hotel from Monday to Friday. Taxi from Charles de Gaulle Airport was 55 euros. I cannot fault the hotel. They upgraded our room and it was really nice. Nicely decorated, coffee machine and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast is really good. Crosissants, ham, cheese, yogurts, eggs, toast, and baguette. Also fresh fruit salad and lovely coffee. Reception staff very friendly and helpful. The metro is literally just up the road. Good restaurants nearby. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone visiting paris.

We spent three nights here for our anniversary. It's such an individual hotel, and a lot of thought has gone into the room design and artwork. The rooms are quite basic but have everything you need and are comfortable and homely. The people on the front desk are lovely and spoke perfect English which was really helpful for us as our French isn't the best! The location is great - a minute walk from the metro and then easy journeys to Notre Dame, Eiffel Tower etc. The only downside to the location is that it's near a hospital so there was quite a lot of noise from ambulances, but this didn't bother us too much as we were out most of the time and in a city you have to expect a bit of noise! We loved the nespresso machine in our room and the shower was amazing as well. The best budget hotel we've ever stayed in, thank you Hotel Max! Would definitely recommend to anyone :)

We had a lovely stay in the Max Hotel. Only stayed one night but wish it could have been longer. The room was clean and nicely furnished. Felt like more than a 3*. The bathroom was great too, big waterfall shower! Good central location, close to the catacombs are jardin du luxemburg. Will definitely be staying here again.

Clean, well appointed hotel.

We stayed for 5 nights in this ecellent small hotel. Space is at a premium in a city centre such as Paris, so we didn't expect a huge room. Recently refurbished, very clean.
Pity only one English language TV programme - BBC News.
Staff excellent.

Great staff, nice hotel in great neighbourhood. Short walk from Catacombes and Jardins du Luxembourg. Fantastic breakfast and coffee facilities. Hard beds though and suitcases/bags kept in ground floor toilet.

A hidden gem in Paris.

It was my first visit to Paris and I was there for business. When I was booking my hotel I found that there was so much choice that it was difficult to select one hotel. I chose the Max Hotel because of it's proximity to Porte de Versailles. It is only a couple of minutes walk to the Metro. The Max Hotel while compact was very welcoming. The personnel were very kind and friendly. The rooms are not huge but are very comfortable with everything you would expect in them. I would recommend this hotel and would stay there again.

Excellent small clean hotel in good neighborhood

I booked this room for my elderly parents who had never been to Paris. They said the location was excellent. I've stayed in the same neighborhood and can say first hand that it's a great and safe area. Their street was not very active and was quite but was steps away from a very lively street. They had a bakery on their street where they picked up food and everything else was accessible off the adjacent street. The staff was exceptional in assisting them with directions, calling taxis, relaying my phone messages, setting up WiFi on their phones and one of them even allowed them to use their personal cell phone to call me because the WiFi was not working. The rooms themselves were also clean. They were very happy with their stay at Max hotel.

clean, new, close to metro station

I stayed at this hotel for six nignts in Feb. 2015. Since it was just renovated last year, everything is quite new. In addition,the receptionists are very friendly and
helpful. I have ZERO complaint. I will book this hotel again next time if i have a plan to visit Paris.

Nice hotel with a touch of minimalist design

Small boutique hotel located 3-4 minutes from Alesia Station (Metro Line 4). It has a small garden at the entrance - nothing fancy but effectively adds to the warmth and cosiness of the hotel. Room is very comfortable, sufficiently spacious and aesthetically pleasing. There's complimentary Nespresso in the room too. Service is attentive and courteous, and will give 5-star hotels a run for their money.

Amazing room and hotel

Very clean and comfortable room. Metro station not too far and Nspresso coffee machine in the room. Amazing shower, bed and the hotel is very very nice. The recepcionist an Italian girl very kind :) I will recommend for sure.

Hotel is few minutes from Metro station.

My experience at the hotel was ok. The staff were nice and the hotel was neat. The hotel could do with a fridge, and a hair dryer. The room was small but being only me, it was ok.

Nice hotel, great staff and excellent location

Very nice, small hotel. Great service - very helpful employees. Clean rooms, good location - close to Metro station. The bed was a bit uncomfortable and though listed as soundproof rooms, we could hear the street noise and other guests shutting doors...

Nice hotel in Paris

Great fresh hotel very convenient located. A little too hard bed for my taste but very clean, nice and friendly. Good breakfast although table and chairs were made for shorter people.
