La chambre était très chaude à notre arrivée, ça puait l'humidité, il y avait beaucoup de poussière et de toiles d'araignées. On nous a vendu \"des petites viennoiseries et café\" pour déjeuner, mais il n'y avait rien. Il n'y avait pas de personnel sur place, la réception était fermée pour toute la durée de notre séjour. Très déçus, car notre première visite à cet endroit avait été bonne, mais nous n'y retournerons pas après cette deuxième expérience.

The staff on duty in the reception at check in and check out were utterly disinterested in dealing with us. What a difference from most of the helpful friendly staff we have encountered at more genereric motels and hotels.

We had read the website about the hotel and expected a warm welcome at the bar and restaurant. They were both closed. We counted 14 cars at the property and guess that a couple of dozen guests were there - two others I spoke to had also expected to be able to get a meal and drink on the premises. That seems like enough people to at least offer the opportunity to buy drinks to. The nearest place to get anything is a drive away. There wasn't even the means to get a cup of tea or coffee and there were no bottles of wateror ice available once the man at reception left at nine pm, with no sign of anyone else in charge on the premises.

The rooms were clean but it's an old property with a lot of bugs - NOT bedbugs - but a lot of ladybugs, a large beetle was actually in the bed, there was a spider in the shower and a couple of house-flies in the room. Perhaps we were just unlucky but as someone who reacts badly to bites I found that un-nerving.

The place has previously had good reviews - could it be under new management? Anyway, it was the most disappointing stay we have had in a month long road trip through seven states, so that says it all. Someone needs to pull their socks up.

Way out in the middle of nowhere - I think Expedia told me this was near Lincoln, NH, when, in fact, it was near Conway, NH - quite a ways away. Not exactly what we were looking for. Only place to eat nearby was the hotel restaurant - meal there was good, but would like more options. Plus, no TV in the room. Big downer. I guess for some people, this is a nice place - but, not what we were looking for.

I booked snowville inn because it said it has onsite restaurant, however, the restaurant was closed Mon and Tue, both days of my stay!

While I appreciate the cabin/cottage vibe, the floor above was creaking when people above me walked.

Also the shower was dripping and i couldnt shut it off, AND the bath tub was not draining!

The Inn was so quaint and cute! It was a peaceful place to stay and rest while working at a local facility over the holiday weekend. “Full breakfast” was danishes, oranges and coffee, and nothing was available my 2nd day. Fair warning you can hear everything above you if you’re on the first floor. I was also barely able to find parking coming back after working overnight on my 2nd day. No TV, if that’s important to anyone. A great selection of books and games are available to borrow.

What a gem! We highly recommend this charming and beautiful inn with views of the mountains. We thoroughly enjoyed the ambiance of the bar and restaurant. Great cocktails and live music. We stayed in the carriage house and the mattresses were incredibly comfortable. The room had all the conveniences of home. We were close enough for a day trip to the White Mountains but just far enough from North Conway that we were removed from the busy pace of the city. We will definitely come back again!

We have stayed here many times over the last ten years. The location and surroundings are very nice. Great staff. Having Max’s to dine at is a bonus. The breakfast used to be nice. Eggs or pancakes. When you stay at an inn part of what you pay for is to be able to relax on location. I would not call a store bought mini muffin and a store bought piece of a danish breakfast. I’d call it, why bother. Most people looked at the breakfast snacks and walked out. The owners always took pride in the customer service, food and Inn. I’m not sure what happened. I do know everyone who stayed this weekend was disappointed. The one thing I’d advise anyone staying at the inn is to book directly through the Inn. Orbitz practices bad business, so never use them. Also plan to eat breakfast some where Elena.

A number of issues with the room. For starters, it is advertised as a queen size bed when it’s a full, the toilet was broken and not flushing properly and was constantly running which was quite load. Along with the bathroom was the shower which was “warm” at best, and the shower head was so hard for pressure through these little stream holes that you couldn’t even take a shower and enjoy it do to it hurting your skin. When we got back to our room, the outside key pad wasn’t working (it’s an electronic key pad that has a passcode) so we were locked out of our room for almost 10 minnutes trying to get it to work. Finally, when it came time to go to sleep, the AC was working intermittently and would kick on so loud that it woke you up and would staying running so loud to the point where we had to shut it off in order to sleep. Overall was probably the worst stay I’ve had in the area, and while the room seemed to be a cute option at first, I couldn’t ever recommend it to anyone else.

Location was pretty easy to find. Check-in/out were unique as it was all done by text. There were lots of hummingbirds in the flowers along the drive so that was nice. Did not eat dinner there so can’t rate the restaurant. Disappointed that our reservation said full breakfast but all that was available was store bought pastries. We had a lower floor room in the carriage house and when the people in the room above us walked across the floor( a lot), the sound of the squeaking floor was quite annoying.

A Nice Place: pluses and drawbacks

This was a good value, but a few drawbacks. It is not well insulated so you can hear people in other rooms easily. The included free breakfast was pathetic: coffee, water, apples, cold, stale pastries. However, having a dining room at night was a convo. The food was good and the restaurant pleasant. The room was immaculate and ok in size. The bathroom was very small with no place to put toiletries. There was a small vanity that fit two small cosmetic bags. In the hall was a coffee maker with supplies. The staff was pleasant and went out of their way to be helpful. It was ok for us since we were staying just two nights and did not need much as we were there to celebrate a special friends birthday. The grounds were lovely. On a pleasant day, one could only sitting outdoors. A lot of pluses and a few minuses. Overall, it’s a pleasant place.

The overall experince was great. I have one complaint during our stay. We arrived during a storm so parking was pretty much taken up, most likely due to patrons going to the restaurant onsite. I guess my problem is why are there not designated parking for people who pay to stay overnight or multiple overnights! We checked in and advised the person at the desk and she basically said I have no ideavwhere you can park. Unexceptible, especially when you have customers who paid to stay over night and most likley have driven from out of state only to be told upon arrival \"i dont know where you can park\" i highly recommend desinated parking for overnight stays.

The property was really beautiful and had an amazing view of the mountains and fall foliage. The outdoor area was very “romantic movie-like” which was a lovely experience. The hotel was well heated, and the room we got was very cozy and clean. Some of the appliances (like a small fan in assuming is used in the summer?) were outdated, but it wasn’t that much of an issue. The area is very safe, although at night we had some issues with a very large wasp, a beetle, and a wolf spider in our room, and there wasn’t anyone around to help us. Also, they do not have bug spray as we found out the next morning, so if you’re not into bugs bring some with you just in case. Also, we ordered a fruit basket to celebrate an anniversary and some details were missed (mis-written card, some wrong items). Finally, we thought we booked a different room from the one we thought we booked from the Expedia pictures. None of these details were a big issue, and we had a really great experience overall, but these are just some small overlooked things that could be improved. :)

Upon arrival we decided to dine in their restaurant. My wife requested to be seated on the screened in porch and the hostess did so and when seating us informed us that if gets chilly she would not reseat us inside. There were dead flies everywhere. After our second night we requested our room to be serviced, after spending the day visiting some sights we returned back late afternoon to find nothing had been done to our room. We departed on day three and my wife checked under the bed to make sure that nothing was left behind. There were someone’s dirty clothes (underwear) and a very lot of dirt and dust underneath. We were disgusted!
The restaurant staff were RUDE.
The room was disgusting.
The food was mediocre at best.
Definitely will never recommend or revisit.

It’s a beautiful serene place to stay in. The staff is very welcoming.
However, we were not satisfied with not having a full breakfast available as it was advertised on the website. The staff member called and let us know ahead of time but it was too late for us to find another place on short notice.
The beds are not comfortable at all and room has a funky smell because of being a very old wooden property. The outdoor has huge spider webs and bathroom had spiders too which is understandable as it’s out in a literal forest.
Nonetheless it’s a beautiful place and the staff , especially Jennifer is very friendly and welcoming. She helped us plan our day trips and made sure everything was nice. Overall it was a good experience.

The property itself is gorgeous, and the room we had was so cozy and warm. Max’s pub had really good food, and I loved the complimentary breakfast. There were some issues with finding staff when we needed them - every time I needed someone I had to track them down. And I think the biggest issue I had with my stay here was the fact that they allow pets. My partner and I tried to go to bed early so we could get to go skiing, but the room below us had a dog who would not stop whining - it almost ruined the trip. The reason we came out to this isolated area was to get some peace and quiet, but that dog made our trip worse. It’s not the staff’s fault that one of their customers decided to bring a noisey dog, but I do hope they change their pet friendly policy, as it can be disruptive to guests without animals. I can’t wait to stay here again, but my wish for next time is to have a more readily available staff and more peace and quiet.

Nice comfortable room (only gripe is we were not shown the thermostat for heating - we stayed late Oct. I found it in the morning so was able to turn on heating). Decent breakfast options freshly cooked.

If visiting, definitely drive up to Mt Fosse and take the short hike to the top for 306 views.

Beautiful setting. We were there during a wedding weekend so really couldn't enjoy any time outside but will come back with the intent of hanging outside with a bottle of wine.
