Hotel is in excellent condition and has a friendly and efficient staff. We were even able to check in an hour early, which was much appreciated. Recommend this hotel if you are in Jacksonville area and need a clean, quiet and nice place to stay. Love that the rooms are not carpeted.

I recently stayed at the Tru by Hilton Jacksonville South Mandarin for a 2-day trip, and while there were a few positives, a major sanitation failure completely ruined the experience.
To be fair, the customer service was genuinely good. The staff was polite, and the common areas of the hotel were kept very clean and presentable.
Unfortunately, that is where the positives end. First, the breakfast was arguably the worst quality I have ever seen at any hotel—it was simply unacceptable.
The most disturbing issue, however, was the state of our room. Our bed sheets had visible blood stains on them. When we requested that they be changed, housekeeping took the sheets, supposedly washed them, and then put the exact same blood-spotted sheets back on our bed instead of just providing a fresh, clean set.
This level of negligence regarding basic hygiene is very unfortunate for a Hilton-based hotel. I expect much better from this brand, and I will absolutely avoid this location in the future.

This is a beautiful, clean, and well maintained hotel! We had the absolute best interaction with staff; everyone was so friendly! We absolutely loved meeting Mary at the front desk; she was the most kind!
gary
The entire place was pristine!

Great location

Front desk was helpful and checked us in quickly. Parking was hard to find because a bunch of the spots were marked off and there was a bunch of construction vehicles, boats, and trailers in the lot. Rooms were and clean and the hotel is in a good area.
Vernon
The stay was one that we enjoyed and will surely stay again. The breakfast was a little less than I thought but was still a good one place was clean and room was spacious, and clean. Loved the shampoo and conditioner and soap.
Brian
The hotel rooms were very clean. The staff are very kind and considerate. Breakfast was a blessing. Charlie who is charge of breakfast was a pleasure to talk to. He also did a great
job keeping all entrees full and hot. This hotel makes you feel safe and like family

Good solid breakfast, drinks always available, close to everything

Checked in with same fantastic lady from last year. She’s friendly and remembered me. She’s just wonderful.
Amanda
Overall, our stay was nice. I think the price was a little high for the size room we had. Also would've been nice to have a small microwave, but we did have a mini fridge, which was nice. The room was clean, the bed was comfy, and the A/C worked like a dream. I didn't sample the breakfast. My husband thought the choices were lacking but said the food was still good. The staff were also kind and welcoming.
Joette
Wish they would empty trash cans in rooms daily.

Clean, organized & great room for one night? Stayed with our two golden retrievers - front desk was thoughtful to ensure we’re on the first floor and nearby exit door for our pets. Very clean and safe!
Junior
Everything was great. The only issue I had was its isolated location.

Breakfast could have more choice.
Lisa
Horrible breakfast options. No coffee maker in room and the lobby coffee was stale and not hot.
Note, fridge does not have usual small freezer.

Justin
Traveling for business. Clean and comfortable. Staff very helpful.
Robert
The hotel is very clean and is fairly new...I believe. The rooms are a bit smaller than Tryp by Wyndham, but have a similar decor. Breakfast was good. It's a great place to stay!
Anna
The staff was very friendly, helpful, and professional. Unfortunately, the room itself was not clean. The bedding appeared not to have been changed after the previous guests, as there were stains and hair on the sheets. The sheets were also wrinkled, messy, low-quality synthetic polyester, and covered in pilling.
The bathroom was also disappointing. There were urine stains around the toilet, and the toilet itself did not appear to have been properly cleaned.
Overall, I appreciated the staff, but the cleanliness of the room was unacceptable.

The property was well kept, clean modern up to date with nice bathroom. AC unit worked good and not loud. Large TV. Staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was very typical hot/cold style…the eggs were prepared a step better with cheese and vegetables
We would definitely stay here again if we are in the area.

I loved this place! It has a great grab and go breakfast until 10AM!!!! Great for those of us that like to grab a extra shut-eye. Kathy at the front desk was so friendly and helpful.
The lobby is great place to send the kids it has Foosball tables and great space for kids to be kids; even grown up kids and let their hair down and have some fun.
Walking distance to great restaurants and shopping

Overall my kids and I enjoyed our one week stay at this hotel. The lobby was very spacious, modern, and family friendly. My kids enjoyed the foosball table and pool when the weather permitted.
Our room was clean except the floors weren't mopped properly as my kids had dirty feet simply from walking inside the room. The entire hotel had a fresh fragrance which made it feel welcoming. Most common areas were cleaned regularly. Some attention was needed at the lesser used areas (gym, stair cases, etc).
The breakfast did not appeal to my particular dietary needs, but I brought food to the dining area and prepared my own meals. I'd suggest having dairy free and egg free options. The oatmeal was not appealing, but the service from Charlie-the attendant made up for the limited options. He constantly checked on all guests and kept the area clean/well stocked.
We enjoyed our interactions with front desk staff-Jeremiah, Mary, and Kathy. They were professional and attentive to any needs. I really will miss our time there and our family felt welcome and could relax during our stay.

Rooms are small with inadequate room for suitcases and hang ups especially if your planning extended stay. Breakfast was disappointing.
Michael
It was very nice
Evelyn
Breakfast was fresh and the room temperature was perfect. We plan on staying again in the near future.
Thank you!

Ok stay. Breakfast wasn’t great. Tons of kids in town for a dance competition—- noisy well past midnight. Staff is super nice, property is clean. No storage space in room though and all services in common areas like coffee, microwave, etc

Katty
Clean room and confortable
Susan
I have stayed there 4 times. Always a great experience!! And they love my puppy!
Bryan
Hotel is way too close to the highway. Road noise is unbearable in the rooms. Might as well sleep on the highway. Bathroom shower had someone else’s hair on the shower head. Towel that was folded had someone else’s hair on it as well. Staff was not accommodating when I asked if we could move rooms. Would never stay here again.
Larry
Very friendly staff. Breakfast could have been better! But otherwise good!
Carmen
Staff was professional
FRANCES
Everything was great, from checking in with Kathy, to a clean spacious room and breakfast , this was a great stay !!!

Allan
All good... just not clean room everyday of staying multiple days. Need to ask to be cleaned
Patrick
The room was very clean and comfortable. The breakfast on Saturday and Sunday was very good as well. The front desk staff was very courteous and friendly.
Jason
Nice staff, quiet location. Room was clean and mostly great but had minor issues - one bed was made up very poorly (loose fitting sheets?) and the blinds didn't work properly. But these were small things and the rest of my experience was fine. Would stay again.
carolyn
The mom is simple but comfortable. We enjoy the complimentary breakfast. The front desk staff was very friendly.

Room was great!
There was apparently a mix up with rooms and a hotel worker quickly knocked on our door and immediately entered at 8am without answering/ waiting. Our door stop was up so they were unable to come all the way in and I yelled as well and the mistake was realized. When I checked out later that morning, I spoke to the hotel front desk and let them know what has happened. She said she was aware and they were very sorry.

Modern, clean feel. Coffee available 24/7, foosball tables, etc. Overall modern, clean vibe. Price point was excellent for a family of four with pets. We’ll always look for Tru hotels when we travel. Highly recommend.

Jeremiah, from the front desk checked on me after about an hour just to see how i was doing. King size bed was super as well as the breakfast the next morning.
Karissa
This was a decent stay for a short trip. Breakfast options are very limited. I have definitely stayed at other hotels where the included breakfast has more to offer. The hotel itself was very clean, our room was clean, and the shower water pressure was great.

Excellent staff and hotel
Deborah
Room was nice; staff very helpful. One microwave behind front desk instead of in each room (which was odd to me); but not a deal breaker.
Carla
The room was clean and tidy, the checkin was easy, the atmosphere was good.
The bed needs to be replaced (sinking in the middle) and the breakfast left a lot to be desired.
