Just wasn’t that good. Between the AC/heater not working to the TV/tv remote not working properly to the non exhaust in the bathroom to the spots on the ceiling. Just a lot issues. Honestly you should save money and go down to the Microtel. Smaller but in wayyy better shape and customer service

The night manager Thursday night was great. The other staff was not rude but not helpful. First room was dirty we had to move to another. Phone did not work, it was missing cover over smoke detector and caluk around bathtub peeling. It was comfotable nights sleep so value for the money.

The place itself is very nice, completely remodeled (or new & well-kept) with nice bedsheets as well.
However, when you call the generic number it says the airport shuttle is 24/7 so just call the hotel directly to request pick up or drop off--this was NOT true. We had to Uber to get to the hotel.
When we got there, the receptionist was wearing headphones & couldn't hear us, forcing us to repeat ourselves several times during check-in rather than simply taking off her headphones.
At breakfast, I waited about 10 minutes but no one ever brought out hard boiled eggs before I had to catch my shuttle to the airport--yes, it does run in the morning, thankfully!
The shuttle driver was on time as well as extremely nice & upbeat--even at 6:30am! :)

The room was clean, and the morning staff were friendly, which is why I’m giving this place 3 stars.

The breakfast was not like it’s portrayed in the photos. Very sparse and legitimately worried about getting food poisoning because the deli ham they cut up for breakfast was cold (I thought that was intentional until I went back for seconds and the ham was hot). Additionally, the woman checking people in at night was not friendly or helpful.

made a reservation to be close to the airport during winter storm fern. Flight got canceled and the only option was to reschedule our flight for the same day. We asked for a refund due to the weather and our flight cancellation. they refused to give us a refund and when I tried to call and clarify, they hung up on me twice before ever speaking to someone.

Everyone at the front desk is super friendly, great dinner recommendations. The drivers for the shuttle are very friendly as well.
The room itself was ok, bed linen were clean, the bed comfortable.
The sofa had lots of dirty spots on it, the shower curtain looked like it is falling from the wall any minute, the light switch in the front didn’t work, the phones didn’t work ( not at the front desk or in the room).

After getting delayed in Charlotte, the airport shuttle was the main draw to this hotel. The shuttle, check-in, and breakfast were exactly what we needed after a stressful end to a day of travel delays.

Check in was great and the staff member was excellent with trying to accommodate our needs. The first room we were in didn’t have hot water so we ask to move. The second was smaller, had hot water, but had mold growing in the bathroom. Overall, not a good experience for just being there a few hours.

Terrible !!!No shampoo, conditioner or body wash liquid in the bathroom. Asked them to put some the second day. The guy at the front said you either get soap or body wash not both and didnt bother putting new shampoo or conditioner either. Terrible breakfast too . Never coming back

It’s okay. The toilet didn’t flush properly. The staff was under a lot of pressure because maybe 15 or so people arrived at the same time in the middle of the night due to cancelled flights. Took a very long time to check in. One of their card readers wasn’t working. Pool was out of service.

Budget hotel at bougie price

I’ll caveat this by noting there were many, many delays at Charlotte airport, rendering a large number of people scrambling for a hotel room. With that being said, it was more than an hour in line to check in — no, that’s not an exaggeration: 12:32a - 1:34a. There were two people at the front desk, a woman and a man. The woman was fantastic; she had a good disposition and was checking people in while answering the phone. The man was basically refusing to help anyone and was very rude. The room was older, however bedding was updated and beds were comfortable, but it was NOT a $200 a night room. It was more akin to a budget hotel with many things needing attention including two of the three locks on my room. Overall, it was a last minute need and it met that, but I wouldn’t stay here again.

The room was not up to a Marriott standard at all. The lobby smelled like mildew. The phone did not work. There were stains on the carpet , walls and tub and I had to get cleaning items delivered just to be able to stay there. Someone was always walking from the desk and the complimentary shuttle is not convenient at all.

Outdated hotel

I was extremely unhappy with the room conditions. We received a handicap room when it was not requested & not a suite as booked. Immediately, the room temperature was below par. It was not maintaining the requested temperature set on thermometer after an unseasonably warm Charlotte day. Front staff was notified immediately and response was I'd have to wait until next day when maintainence member was available. Overnight room was uncomfortably hot. Next day I had to initiate the request again because it was not handled.
Hotel was outdated & carpets were visibly stained in hallways. This transitioned into the room furniture which had stains on sofa cushions & beds were not expertly made. Overall, I would not recommend this hotel for future stays.

The man at the front desk was VERY RUDE and disrespectful. I got the room through Expedia and he asked for me to swipe my card. I did thinking it was for incidentals and he then said swipe it again for incidentals. He said that my first swipe was for the room because it was not paid for totally. I asked him how when I had the reciept. He said he could not tell me why and that he didnt have to tell me why. He caused a big scene which was embarrassing. My room was totally paid for through Expedia. I have never been through that before. I am a rewards member for Marriott.

The hotel is just run down. It needs maintenance and needs to be cleaned better. First room the lock on the door didn’t work so we had to switch rooms. Second room was dirty and there were little flies around the room. Workers were nice but clearly they are probably short on staff overworked and underpaid. I’m sure the owners have money to fix these problems so just do better.

We stayed here one night to take the shuttle for an early flight out of Charlotte. We took the shuttle at 5:30 AM. The driver was very friendly and helpful, loading our luggage for us. It was a 6 minute ride to the airport and he dropped us off at the departure terminal.
When we got back, 5 days later, we called the hotel and they had a driver come pick us up within 15 minutes. This was very convenient and saved us the hassle of parking at the airport and using the shuttles.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable

The property was clean walking into the lobby. But the room was dirty. There was stains on the carpet, the wall paper was coming away from the wall, the bed skirts had brown stains, and the shower curtain was far too short for the bathtub, which created puddles on the floor causing slipping hazards. There was no fan in the bathroom to help with the steam. For the price that I paid for the room, I was expecting far better cleanliness.

Not What I Expected!!!

I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent stay at your hotel, SpringHill Suites by Marriott® Charlotte Airport, located at 3055 Scott Futrell Drive, Charlotte, NC. I checked in at 10:17 AM on July 27, 2024 and checked out at 4:57 PM the next day due to an extended layover.
Upon arrival, the desk clerk and the shuttle driver were personable, and the check-in process was quick and efficient. However, my experience quickly deteriorated upon reaching room 419. The room conditions were appalling and unacceptable for any guest, let alone for someone celebrating their 23rd anniversary with family.

Here are the specific issues I encountered:
Room Cleanliness:
There were numerous dried blood stains on the dirty carpet.
The green pull-out bed was soiled and the room had a terrible, unpleasant odor.
The bed linens were soiled, and I had to request clean sheets from the front desk.
The A/C unit was loud
The Elevator - was dirty
Overall Experience:
The poor condition of the room significantly marred our anniversary celebration and caused great discomfort for our two children.
Given these issues, I feel that my stay was not only disappointing but also posed health risks to my family. I request a full refund for the inconvenience and substandard service. Additionally, I hope that you will address these issues promptly to ensure other guests do not face similar experiences.

1 night stay okay, otherwise meh.

The room needs some basic work done. The walls looked dirty and dingey. The tub stopper was broken. There wasn't anyone replacing the breakfast foods at 8am. There were no waffles present. We used the mens restroom on floor 1 and could hear employees yelling at one another cursing and dropping f-bombs. The room was clean though and comfortable

The hotel needs a major remodel everything is falling apart. The left elevator door takes 3 min to close, no hot water in the sink. Shower heavily drips water, tv the size of a shoe box, everything is falling apart. The staff was thr best thing the hotel had to offer.

The bathroom door handle was broke, the shower tap leaked a lot, and there was no hot water so I couldn’t shower prior to a full travel day. The front desk offered 10K Marriott points but that doesn’t even pay for half a night in the same city.

Upon arrival the receptionist sounded like she was on a personal phone call and was rude upon check in. The toilet in the bathroom takes 2-3 times to flush. The air is not correctly working. The phone in the room does not work to call down to the front desk. The hot water went out which I understand things happen, but the blame was put on a team staying here. That they all showered at the same time and used it up. I’m sorry but if you are a hotel and can accommodate a specific amount of people the hot water should be able to last. At 8:30 the next morning it still wasn’t on. The pull out couch had dirt all throughout it that our kids are sleeping on so we doubled up the bedding. We originally planned to stay two nights but have cancelled our second night and if it wasn’t so late we would have left that first night we were there.

One of the worst stays I have had at any Spring Hill Suites. Hot water didn’t work in our room and when we went to take a shower the water pressure was missing. Floors dirty hair on the ceiling. At check in we were told breakfast went until 10:30, at 10:00 we went down to be told it ended at 10. Fine-we will just eat some cinnamon rolls we were given by a friend and asked for forks. Got reminded breakfast was over at 10…. Not impressed and wouldn’t stay again.
