The airport shuttle was easy to call and schedule. I wasn't expecting to stay at the Ritz, but typically I view a Doubletree as a solid property to stay at, better than a comfort inn. Every Doubletree I stayed at prior was always clean and well maintained. this one was a bit beat. While the staff was friendly and the bed/pillows were comfortable, the room showed signs of not being clean. There was a booger like substance on the desk chair, there were dirt marks of some sort at the bottom of all the furniture in the room. The bathroom ceiling was wrecked, as if there was a leak and it was very poorly patched. Some of the fixtures were starting to show their age with a bit of rust. The curtains were filthy, stains all over them. This property needs a good deep cleaning and a bit of a refresh overall to get up to the doubletree standard I usually see in other locations.

Our stay at the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Charlotte Airport was very disappointing.

The property feels extremely outdated. Our shower had hairs still, was missing a liner and flooded the bathroom, the showerhead was poorly installed with gaps around the base, and the exhaust fan didn’t work and had no screen. The lobby was also uninviting. We booked a King room but were given two Queens.

The 10 pm front desk lady was rude when we tried to schedule an airport shuttle time, she refused to give us a straight answer and responded with attitude instead of simply helping us. It was unprofessional and unnecessary. The only positive was the 4 a.m. front desk associate, who was kind and attentive.

Unfortunately, this stay did not meet expectations.

This is a great hotel. 24 hour pick up and drop off from the airport was fantastic. The hotel staff were very friendly and professional. They gave us both a warm baked cookie after checking in which was a nice surprise. Highly recommend.

Not spotless. Someone’s used dental floss gadget was on the floor. Makes me wonder how vacuuming could have missed it. Otherwise room comfortable, nice decor and layout. Bottled water promised as amenity then told not available. No bath mat, only one hand towel.

We have stayed at this hotel several times when flying out of Charlotte Airport. The last two stays have been very disappointing. The check in staff was impolite almost as if we were bothering them. Our last room had no TV remote. Worst of all, we waited for an hour in the cold for the shuttle back to the hotel. Called 3 times before they came.

Very convenient for one night layover between flights. Shuttle worked very well. Quick Uber ride to South End for breweries etc and not far to downtown. Comfortable room, good shower. Towels too small.

The room was very clean, had dinner at the restaurant which was quite good. The weak spot was the shuttle. When we got there we called and then waited for over 40 minutes. Finally another driver felt pity and drive us to the hotel. This morning the driver left a few minutes early and dropped us at the other end of the terminal. We were on American and she dropped us at delta which for my husband who uses a wheel chair this pretty long way. We told her we were flying American initially. Guess she was in a bad mood. Except for the shuttle all was fine

Convenient to airport and our room was clean and very comfortable. Super fast WiFi and decent TV channel selection. Restaurant could do with an upgrade with very limited choices in the evening; the food we had was good just limited choices. Overall we 100% would stay again if we had a flight out of CLT.

Great staff! Horrible hilton especially a double tree! Building smells of mold a water damage! Extremely dated decor and fixtures. Wallpaper falling off walls and carpets looked horrendous! Got me with a high floor upgrade. The building is only 3 floors. Again great staff!

Found a dead cockroach in the room, in plain sight, told the staff and got no response. Hotel needs updating, Doubletree has always been a great brand, but we were disappointed with our stay.

This place is not on par for a doubletree. Its an old cheap motel redone cheaply to look a little better, but its old and dirty and the room smelled musty and gross....couldn't wait to leave and would never go back.

the airport shuttle service was extremely slow on my arrival - it was 12:30 am and the front desk person said they would be there \"as traffic allowed\" It seems they were actually waiting to combine me with a group of airline staff, which would've been nice to have just been told so rather than waiting 30 minutes with no idea if they were actually coming or not. The following morning, I needed the shuttle at 5:30am, and the driver was extremely rude and didn't respond when I asked her if she could take me. I waited a few minutes, considered an uber and then thought I'd at least see if she would or would not. When I turned the corner to look for her, she said she didn't need me following her, and she had told me she would take me.
This driver is unprofessional and flat out rude.

Additionally, there were hairs on the bathroom floor - it had not been cleaned.

The room felt neglected, not hygienic. Unable to luck door leading to the back porch, slept in a room on the first floor with back door unlocked. When we discovered that the following morning and reported to the front desk, all we were told was to report the issue to Expedia. We left the hotel a day earlier.
A horrible experience and we demand compensation.

Room was nice, water pressure in the shower was AMAZING!! Parking good. In room HVAC was noisy. There are a couple places to eat within walking distance and a gas station within half mile for rental car fill-up. Jefferi made check-in nice and easy. Good cookies!

Should not be a Doubltree

This hotel is well past its prime and needs a major renovation or should lose its flag. The rooms and hotel smelled like mildew. The furniture fixtures and equipment are very worn. I would stay at one of the newer hotels nearby. The pictures must be 20 years old.

Airport shuttle was excellent. We were able to leave our car at your hotel for 11 nights and the shuttle was on time to take us to the airport. Once we were back, we called to have the shuttle pick us up and bring us back to the hotel. We did not have to wait long and the gentleman that picked us up was very nice and friendly and thanked us for staying at your hotel.

We stayed here and used hotel parking lot to keep our car while we traveled for a week, that part was good...$60 for 7 nites, with shuttle to airport! There is a mold smell in certain parts of hotel, especially at back of hotel on all floors. Our first nite, we requested a room change as mold smell was significant & 2nd room was better. On our return to hotel for 1 nite, the first room was not cleaned by housekeeping, 2nd room smelled like mold, and final room was acceptable but we turned off heat/AC in room as there was a very slight mold smell when we ran the fan. This hotel has a severe mold smell problem and I worry about breathing the air here.

But had a group staying next room over partying till 4:30am, tried calling the front desk but the phone did not work so used my cell phone and after 2 hours it was answered and all they offered was to give me another room! At 4am, there shouldn't be a party at that time of the morning. Sad to say a venue with a name like Hilton you have this happem.

The staff at this hotel were very rude to my husband and myself. They did not greet or even acknowledge us when we came in and they also claim to not have our reservation that we prepaid through Orbitz. We had to wait 30 minutes for them to call Orbitz customer service to get proof that we had paid for the reservation, even though I showed the hotel manager at the front desk my receipt…in the end, we decided to not stay at this property and book a room for the night at another hotel through Hilton Honors, which was in another part of the Charlotte Mecklenburg area. We are very dissatisfied with the service that we received it was very, very rude and terrible service. We haven’t experienced anything like this before dealing with any hotel staff where we’ve stayed and we travel quite a bit. Would not recommend anyone at the Charlotte Doubletree Hilton on Yorkmount Road.

The FD lady was unapologetically RUDE! She did not greet us warmly or with hospitality. Was on a personal cell call w/ grandkids while getting us keys. Curtly answered questions, had an attitude, and when we called down regarding the several issues with the THIRD room assignment. She didn’t write our 5am shuttle appt. So the a.m driver had an attitude like she didn’t wanna take us. Drove like a manic before the sun was up crossing over double lanes on highway.

First room was on the first floor; it smelled like fresh mildew. We didn’t even make it to the room. Second room- toilet got backed up and almost overflowed and had no hot water. Had to move out room half naked. Third room no hot water 3hrs and 3rd ima later.

I love my stay at the double tree by the airport. Everyone was nice and friendly from coming into the front entrance. I loved the cookies fresh bake was so delicious. Each and ever employee greeted me and gave a smile with it I loved that the best. The only thing I didn’t like was the pool area was not open and it was so hot we wanted to get in the water so bad it’s summer time. But we was able to set out on back patio and socialize with friends and family. I definitely recommend people to check in to this hotel I will be back on my next trip to Charottle Nc beautiful place we had a friends weekend away from home.
