The room itself was absolutely stunning. Gorgeous high beamed ceilings with a little chandelier, big spacious double room and a nice sized en-suite. Clean, and a very comfy bed. Hospitality from Paul exceeded our expectations, he was very friendly, informative and is clearly very passionate about his business.

A Lovely stay in The Glebe!

On arrival the owner, Paul met us with a very warm and friendly greeting. We were advised of how the placed worked -getting through the secure doors etc, and shown to reception. Paul was very attentive and friendly, giving the impression that nothing was too much trouble. The areas that we saw were very nicely decorated - to a high standard, and the whole place was very clean. The room was a good size, again very clean and well maintained. Some lovely high ceilings and wooden beams with a lovely glass window feature to let the light in. The bed was really comfy and we had a great nights sleep.The en-suite was really nice and well presented. Plenty of tea and coffee / milk sugar etc with more on offer at reception if required. The outside noise was pretty quiet. Paul also recommended places to eat as well - 10 minutes down the road is the Lion restaurant (Sri Lankan / Japanese) food which was fantastic ). The people we met in Liverpool were so friendly - it was a real pleasure to visit. Would we go back to The Glebe - absolutely YES! - Thanks Paul (and team) - we give you 5 stars throughout , and thoroughly deserved.

My girlfriend and I stayed in this hotel over the weekend and we loved it. The hotel has heaps of character, the decor is modern and the hotel is very clean. The owner, Paul, was lovely and clearly passionate about the hotel and the service provided. We would certainly stay here again.

Booked for my daughters who were watching a concert at Anfield. Such a great service, calls prior to the day and on the day saying they could complete an earlier check in if needed. Greeted my daughters and explained everything clearly, they said Mel was simply lovely! A great clean room with a short walk to Anfield Stadium.

We did early check at a cost of £20, standard with all hotels theses days

Paul gave us some history & information on the property and the surrounding area

Our room was lovely exactly as it was on the pictures
We were in room 6 on the front of the building
There was complementary water & the room & bathroom were immaculately clean
If you are a light sleeper, you may need earplugs as even though the room has inner glazing, you can hear traffic and the pelican crossing, an eye mask may also be advisable as the stained glass window is lovely it does make the toom bright in the morning
These are not negatives... just a heads up

There is an honesty box for drinks & snacks

An uber is about £7.00 to the docks

We could walk to Ainfield in about 20mins for a concert we were going to

I would highly recommend The Glebe Hotel

This hotel is a great find. Kids enjoying staying here and were thrilled to be returning. One thing that would help to improve the stay would be to have a microwave in the room. This helps families who want to heat food up or maybe give cereal to younger ones in the morning with warm milk.

Small 8 room well kept hotel

The hotel was very well located for watching a football game at Anfield. The street parking sign states that it is for residents only, but the owner of the hotel told us that it was ok to park. There are no lifts in this small 8 room hotel, so it can be a struggle to carry your bags to your room. There is also no restaurant in the hotel for breakfast or a meal. There are some takeaways in the vicinity. It is a 20 minute bus ride into the city.

We had a great stay as a family of four for a weekend for the Comic con convention in Liverpool. The hotel was lovely and the family sweet had separate sleeping are for parents. Rooms had everything we needed and were very confortable. Paul the host was very friendly and welcoming. Plenty of shops near by and within easy reach of bus and metro links to city centre. The building is beautiful and really worth a stay. The kids loved all of its quirky features. We had a great stay thank you.

A hidden gem of awesomeness,beyond expectations

This has to be called a hidden gem, the most passionate and welcoming owner Paul, what a genuine lovely guy, the room was impeccably clean, it felt like I was in my own home, the standard of decor is above and beyond what you would expect, I was even shown a family room which was stunning! I have found myself a new retreat in will be back soon. This will also be passed to my work colleagues and friends. Great customer service, before and on arrival from Paul and Abdul.

We had a family suite for 5 of us and the space was amazing. Very modern and clean inside.
We only stayed 1 night but would have happily stayed longer.

Only trouble we had was parking nearby as lots of the streets are residents permit holders only and the free spaces were taken when we arrived.
Perfect location for walking to the stadiums.

When we arrived, we were greeted by Paul, the owner, who was fantastic all throughout our stay. He's super kind and truly invested in the property and interested to get know everyone staying at the hotel. His welcoming demeaner is enough to get me to stay there again should I get back to Liverpool. We stayed in the Family Suite which was much larger than expected. The pictures don't even do the space justice. The room was huge and was one of our favorite places to stay during our Europe Trip. The only negative is there really isn't many places to eat at nearby, but Paul gave us great recommendations for us to get to where we wanted to go to and Uber was easy enough to get around. I'd definitely stay here again!

A hidden gem!

It was a lovely stay. The kids enjoyed the stay. The room was spacious and clean. It was a nice break and change of scenery travelling from Birmingham.

The owner Paul was very attentive and checked in with us and was on hand for any queries.

This hotel is in a great spot to many shops for breakfast, lunch and dinner and shopping. A hidden gem! Looking forward to our return.

Renovated old house, with a very unique feeling. We were a family of 5, and started in the family accommodation for one night in Liverpool. The unit has one large room with one double and two single beds and a bathroom, and an additional master suite upstairs, just under the roof, with a double bed and a bathroom.

The large room downstairs also had a small fridge, which we going useful.

The building has many stairs and no elevator, but the owner was very helpful and helpex us with our luggage.

The area next to the hotel doesn't have much to offer, everything was already closer when we got there around 20:00, and we're still close when we left around 8 the next morning. Getting to the city center is about 15-20 minutes by taxi, and a little more by bus.

W would certainly consider going back there if our path takes us to Liverpool again.again.

A home from home, lovely accommodation.

Lovely stay, greeted by the owner Paul who gave us an immediate upgrade to the family suite which included a mezzanine that the kids loved. They could escape up there and have privacy and comfort. The building was a renovated listed property and decor was justice to the history of the build. The cleanliness was second to none considering I was a housekeeping Manager myself and know exactly what could get missed. Nothing missed. Proximity to everything we were there for (Everton match) was just super. Will definitely stay again.

This hotel was done out lovely, the thing that ruined it for me and the reason I. Won’t go back was the cheap uncomfortable bedding! The pillows I took pictures of as seeing was believing if they cost £3 they would have been robbed. They measured less than 2imches thick and were solid flattened bricks. The duvet was a cheap crinkle one. I was soooooo disappointed, what’s the point of doing your hotel up and scrimping on the comforts, your customers don’t want poor sleep quality

There aren’t any facilities for eating, but restaurants and pubs that serve food are nearby. There are also takeaways and there’s no problem with bringing food back to your room. There’s also a pub below the hotel that doesn’t serve food. Paul, the owner, couldn’t have been more helpful. The rooms were really well appointed, extremely spacious but still felt cozy, freshly decorated and spotlessly clean.

I had sent 2 emails advising we'd have a late check in- taking the train from London. We never got a response. The outside pics of the hotel are NOT accurate. The pub downstairs is not affiliated with the hotel, and the 'entrance' to the hotel is on a side street with bolted double barn doors. No one answered the phone # posted on the wall outside. We had to go into the pub and they let us into the 'courtyard' via a back door. The stairs up to the hotel are metal (think fire escape stairs), and we had 2 large pieces of luggage + backpacks. The gentleman from the hotel helped us with the luggage, but the stairs were dicey at best in the damp environment of Liverpool. The inside of the hotel is BEAUTIFUL! The room was wonderful and the front desk attendants were great. There was no check in process - just showed him my passport. Also, not told when check out was (assumed 11am), but a gruff cleaning man at 10am told us it was 10:30. Overall it was a nice room, but would not stay again.

Overall not too bad, could do with dusting a lot of cobwebs and dust over looking the top floor in the vip suite. One of the single beds had a red spot stain on the bed sheet and the pillow case needed replacing. And the tv mounted to the wall need to be swivel ones so you can pull them out a bit so you can access the HDMI port so your children can use their consoles when bored.

We stayed in the family suite, which was stunning! It was huge, clean and so beautifully decorated. The building is a listed building so had stunning features in our suite, such as a vaulted ceiling, original wooden beams and stunning stained glass windows which lit up the room when the sun shone through them. Not only was the room and the building stunning, Abdul, the manager was amazing: friendly, welcoming and provided great service. I would definitely stay here again, a hidden gem amongst the backdrop of Liverpool.
