Despite the impression given on the website, this is a very old hotel that feels far from “renovated.” The entire atmosphere comes across as overly pretentious, but without the quality or comfort to justify it.

The pillows were some of the worst I’ve ever encountered—the filling was broken into so many pieces that it felt like sleeping on a bag of rocks. The air conditioning unit was extremely old and noisy, making it difficult to rest. The bathroom also had several issues: the air ducts in the partition clearly need urgent repair, and after every shower the floor was left completely flooded.

For the extremely high price charged, this hotel does not deliver in any way. Between the outdated facilities, uncomfortable rooms, and inflated sense of grandeur, I cannot recommend it. There are far better options in Lisbon that offer genuine comfort and value—look elsewhere.

The Turim Restauradores hotel is next to the funicular and close to many attractions but it is surprisingly quiet. Lots of great restaurants and wine bars are in its vicinity. I would definitely stay there again

Picked this hotel for its location: FABULOUS! Room was a bit smaller than I expected but price point for such a central location was excellent.
Unfortunately, my stay was marred at the end by an incident involving transportation (booked through the hotel) for transfer to the airport. I arrived 10 minutes early for the departure & noted a car parked across from the property. Reception staff said they would alert me when the driver arrived. 15 minutes later a woman entered & spoke to reception & exited. Moments later, staff told me my driver had arrived. I discovered that the parked car I observed was indeed my transport and that she had arrived 35 minutes earlier & alerted staff. They did NOT inform me. Our late departure was concerning & I nearly missed my flight.

Stay for the proximity to stuff

The reason to stay here is due to proximity to transit via Restauradores Square and attractions like Miradouro de São Pedro de Alcântara (which is a 5 minute hike uphill or a funicular ride up). The room was clean though some repairs are needed to the door and floors. The towels always had a strange smell to them. The A/C is odd to work with. Due to the place being on a side street off the funicular line, there isnt much of a from your room. As far as food, they do offer a breakfast but unless you have no time for food, just go outside and walk 5 minutes in any direction you will find something cheaper and better.

The hotel is very nice. My room was spacious with a big bathroom. However, the TV set was too small (it is like a computer monitor that was hanged on the wall). This was something that needs upgrading. The breakfast was great with lotd of varieties.

Location is very good. Easy walking to Rossio Square. At the bottom of the Gloria funicular. Walk to the top for a panaoramic view of the city and castle. Hotel did not respond to questions sent through Expedia app or by direct email. Disappointing because the were about checkin times. Staff in dining room were excellent. Not so good! The neighbors of the hotel decided to turn on very noisy machinery 24/7, which forced us to close the windows! But as the hotel switches off their airconditioner during this period (spring) of the year, the airconditioning was not working. The hotel staff offered us to use fans for which were not enough electricity sockets available (and where to charge your mobile phone)? Despite the good location of the hotel, our joy was heavily affected by bad sleeping. The staff did what they could do, however speaking to the neighbors or involving senior management was out of the question. The room itself was 3 out of 5. The beds were good, if you like soft.

Internet didn’t work almost the whole trip and this very difficulty , although I addressed several times to the desk.
Plates in the dinning room weren’t totally clean.

The lobby is nice looking but as soon as you get to the guest floors it becomes obvious that they only care about a nice curb appeal.

Hotel is overpriced. We booked it with a special promo price, but on reception regular price per night was mentioned- 250€.
The room definitely does not worth 250€.
Location wise place is not bad, but room was quite small and not very new. Shower is tiny and there are no shelves for toiletries. Bending to take shampoo from the floor in a tiny shower might be quite uncomfortable, especially for a tall person :)

Personnel was polite, but not friendly. Unlike other places where we stayed in Portugal, people were not smiling, which is not a crime, but spoils general impression a bit.

On arriving, we were taken back by the graffiti on the buildings surroundings this hotel. Yet do not let this deter you, as it is a safe and wonderful place to stay. It is in short walking distance to Rossio Square. The staff went above and beyond to make our 2 night stay comfortable and trouble free. Our only negative would Be the need for air conditioning, as we had to leave the window open and it was noisy outside.

Perfect location for exploring. The street it's self isn't the best due to graffiti but really close to everything. Metro stop is 5 minutes walk to get further afield. Hotel breakfast is average at best but the restaurant and bar are very good, especially happy hour. Our room was basic but big enough, wish I could say the same about the TV which looked like a postage stamp on the wall. All in all a nice hotel if you get a decent price

Decent enough hotel situated in the heart of the town a few streets away from the main nightlife in the barrio and main squares heading to the old town and seafront.
It’s a little dated and worn down but clean and comfortable enough.
Staff pleasant and helpful and the morning breakfast buffet is quite good.
All in all for a short stay it’s definitely a bargain. I’d stay again for a short break.

WE CHOSE THIS HOTEL FOR ITS LOCATION AND THAT IS ALL WE GOT. IY WAS A WARM, CLEAN ROOF OVER OUR HEADS IN A GOOD LOCATION. BY NORTH AMERICAN STANDARDS, THIS IS A POOR EXCUSE FOR A HOTEL. THE INTERNETN SELDOM WORKED , AFTER 4 DAYS WE HAD A BACKLOG OF 38 E MAILS AND COULD NOT DO WINDOWS UP DATES. THE DESK WAS 3 METERS FROM THE NEAREST WALL PLUG, I HAD TO USE THE ONLY CHAIR AS A TABLE AND SIT ON THE LUGGAGE RACK AS A SEAT IN ORDER TO GET ACCESS TO A PLUG AND THE WIFI AT THE SAME TIME. THE LIGHTING WAS DARK, THE TV TINY AND 2 METERS OFF THE FLOOR. WHEN THE GUESTS ABOVE US WALKED, IT SOUNDED LIKE A BASS DRUM POUNDING ACROSS THE FLOOR. STANDARDS ARE DIFFERENT IN EUROPE, BUT APART FROM EXCELLENT LOCATION, I DONT SEE HOW ANYONE RATES THIS PLACE AS 3 STARS.

This hotel is at perfect location. The room is ok. The cons are noise from outside and inside ( trolley very close), WiFi may not work in the room and disconnect you often. A non reliable wifi on the room is a total bummer. We rely on WiFi to plan for trips and many other things.

Great location, and don't skip the welcome drink!

The location of this hotel was great. Walking distance to most of the places we wanted to visit. It is right around the corner from the tram that takes you up the hill to a view point over the city (and Christmas market depending on when you are there) and bairro alto. The downside of this is the tram can be a bit noisy, but it didn't run too late or start too early, and I was able to drown it out with earplugs.
The room had everything we needed, although I personally found the bed too hard and not the most comfortable. The WiFi was also quite unreliable and worked much better in the lobby than the room.
My favourite thing about this hotel was the medieval themed bar. The bartender was also knowledgeable about local drinks. I spend more time here than I have in hotel bar before!

Good location near the downtown and Metro

The hotel has good location, walking distance to the Metro and the main attractions. Checking in was easy and storing luggage while going around was easy also. The location was good but it doesn't have a good environment, the hotel was tucked away in some king of alley, it was hard to locate for a first timer in Lisbon. Good thing people were so nice to help us out. It was raining so we took a taxi from airport, it cost us 23 euros. I reccommend using the metro, it's cheaper and the metro stops near the hotel. Wifi in the room was not good, we have to go down in the lobby to use the wifi.

I stayed at this hotel for 4 nights (Nov. 20 - 24, 201 booking 3 rooms. On the second day I noticed several big bugs(about 10 cm) coming out from behind the closet (if there is a need I can attach a picture). It was a very unpleasant experience!!! I spoke with the front desk staff and I asked to have a conversation with their manager but he was unavailable. They decided to give me a different room on the 4th floor. I accepted their offer because I did not want to move my guests to a different hotel and during the course of planed events. I also asked the front desk for refund for only this particular room but I received a response that I have to contact Expedia and get the refund from them. Today at 3:37pm I received a message from the Turim Restauradores Hotel via Expedia, which I copy below. I trust that you will help me to resolve this unpleasant issue in a timely manner. Not what I expected

First and foremost the Turim Restauradores is extremely well located on a quite street but right in the middle of Lisbon.
In many ways this is a nice hotel with clean rooms and facilities. Unfortunately and in my opinion a few things fell flat. I found the front desk staff indifferent and not welcoming. Even though I had asked for a double bed for some reason it came out as two twins in the reservation. When I asked if my partner and I could have a double bed I was told that I had reserved a twin room. Eventually I was given a double room but was left feeling that I had caused a problem with the request. Other times we would walk by the front desk and give a greeting with no response from the staff. All of this left me feeling cold as concerns the people who are the face of the hotel.
I also found the breakfast to be quite mediocre. Both the juice and the coffee were almost undrinkable which is sad considering that the Portuguese live for coffee and grow oranges. All of the above might sound a bit trivial but a hotel of this level should be expected to provide an equal level of service and quality.

The hotel was difficult to find even with GPS and parking is not real close by. The area is good and convenient to most things but ghat is all. The room was worn and not real clean in the bathroom though the shower was hot with good pressure. The beds were not comfortable and you have to ask for extra pillows. Noisy at night. Not expensive but I’ve had way better values.
