Communication was great, the location was superb for eating out, shopping and sight seeing. The apartment was clean and fully equipped. It was also very spacious. The climate control worked well and was very quiet. The shower and bathroom were great and the bed/bedding superb
Points for others to note: This property is at the highest point so great for views but you do have a hike home. I paid extra for a city view. This was simply not true. Also the bins are located right outside the apartment. Businesses are filling them up all night and they are being emptied every morning. It is these minor issues that prevent a five star review

Great day, crappy pullout

Super easy check in, digital key access, check out and free baggage storage. Clean room, great area of lisbon. Only complaint was the pullout sofa bed was terribly uncomfortable! Other than that it was all great and as expected.

The check in took a bit of time because it was a self checking in, but our stay was wonderful overall and no complains at all. The most important thing is that my family was comfortable with our time there including the fact that the hotel is close to transit options and food choices.

We asked for a room without stairs as I was traveling with my 83 year old mother. The room we were first given had 3-4 stairs down to the room with no handrail on the wall. We moved to a handicapped accessible room which was amazing! Unfortunately we had a nightly leak from either the dishwasher or the water tank and had to put towels down on the floor. My mother almost slipped on the floor our first night as we were not made aware of the leak! We had a ground floor balcony which was lovely. The staff were great and there were many lovely restaurants and nice shopping in the area. All in all it was a great stay and I would strongly recommend this property to fellow travellers.

The property was very convenient. The 4th floor view off of the terrace is great. The only thing we had an issue with was the AC units were too noisy at night. They were cold so that counts. Shower pressure was nice and strong. Check in and check out is straight forward. And luggage lockers for early arrivals are available in the lobby. I would use Libere again. Rua da Rosa has great restaurants.

Our four-night stay at Libere Lisbon Principe Real was delightful. The apartments are exceptionally well-equipped, beautifully presented, and incredibly comfortable, making us feel instantly at ease.
The thoughtful starter pack – with cleaning products, tea towel, coffee, crisps, and water – was a fantastic welcome. Coupled with a fully-functional kitchen, it truly felt like a home away from home. Service was a standout; the team was responsive on WhatsApp, promptly fixing our air conditioning.
Our apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, and boasted lots of storage. The friendly, helpful receptionist and the constant staff presence were reassuring. Convenient lockers were available before check-in and after check-out.
While a small bathroom shelf for toiletries and perhaps a washing machine for longer stays could be useful additions, these are minor points.
Overall, we had a superb time. For a well-managed, comfortable, and convenient Lisbon base, Libere Lisbon Principe Real is an excellent choice. We'd definitely return!

Comfortable, clean (near party scene)

We spent one night here at the end of our trip. The room was very comfortable, clean, and quiet. We were happily surprised to find a staff person there to greet us when we arrived. Check-in, room access, check out were all very easy and clear. FYI - the hotel is on a quiet street in a great location to Lisbon sites, but about half a block away is a BIG party area. Saturday night the streets were full of young people spilling out of bars, drinking, etc. Amazingly we did not hear much of it from our room on the 2nd floor, but beware if that is not your scene.

I would recommend this property to everyone. It was very clean welcoming. They left us a little welcome gift. There was a little patio so my husband could smoke. It was a really nice size that had two bathrooms and all the amenities close to everything. The staff was really nice. We needed a Plug for our cell phones and they provided that whenever we need the taxi, they would call one love the area. We will stay there again.

Beautiful and roomy apartment with huge windows. Spotlessly clean and the contactless entry system is easy to manage. Location could not be better. Walking distance to everything you want to see. Location, location, location. We unfortunately did not get a terrace with an amazing city view, but the apt was very clean and comfortable, and in just the perfect location. The pull out couch is a bit sparce for adults, but we managed and would not deduct stars for that, because everything else about this place is pretty great. The breakfast box is a nice touch (fresh fruit, meats, pastry, juice & coffee pod). We had a little trouble with the elevator one time, but being able bodies, we were fine taking the stairs. The gentleman who ran the front desk was kind and attentive. We would stay here again.

The check in process was fairly complicated. It is not clear why they have the electronic check in since they have a person in the reception area during the day time hours. The property was located in a nice area of town with eating areas and grocery stores which was nice. The room was set up so you could have a small living room like place and the kitchenette colocated. The shower was nice and the water hot. The mattress was too firm for me. If you're assigned to higher floors, you will be treated to a stunning city view.

For stays longer than three days, I recommend opting for the full cleaning service, as the basic cleaning only provides new towels without changing the bed linens.

Beds were very uncomfortable, no door knob in bathroom for a family that’s just no good. Service came and interrupted to take pictures of missing door knob but it remained missing the entire stay. Check in was confusing, locker space for luggage is minimal.

Poor stay and misleading room descriptions

Misleading photos and property description. I thought I was booking a high floor room with a terrace overlook of the city when in reality, they had booked me a ground floor apartment with little sunlight, and the \"terrace\" was a depressing interior courtyard with no privacy and no sunlight. Of course the property refused to do anything about it when I complained. Also, when I went to the bathroom at night, I almost slipped on a puddle of water that suddenly appeared between the bedroom and the bathroom. When I mention this to the front desk they said \"oh yes, I've been meaning to ask maintenance to get that fixed.\" Apparently it was a leaky dishwasher. Also there was some loud noise at night coming from both the AC plus the water heater.

The apartment matched the photos and description. The only reason I am giving 4 stars on staff is that … there is little human contact with staff. We did meet two porters in the structure, in day time, who were very nice and very helpful, but you always feel like you might have to rely on WhatsApp messages with people in Spain, who coordinate things like even check in. That said, we didn’t need anything in particular and the space was great.

Not quite as advertised, but still a great stay

That's not a balcony, and the 'city view' was of the internal building columns. But everything else about this stay was great. Immaculately clean and well maintained, great shower, lots of space. Great location at the top of the upper town. Highly recommended.

Our stay was brief - just two nights - so we wanted to maximize by checking in early if possible. They have the option of 15 Euro to check in early. However, as someone must have been checking out of our suite that day, we couldn't get an early check-in. Instead, we used one of the lockers to store our bags. We needed a lot of help from the on-site staff member because the locking mechanism on the locker was broken. There were only a few lockers, so don't count on this as an option (especially if you have lots or large luggage). We were lucky!
The apartment seemed very clean, and we appreciated the welcome gift and the app's suggestion of a free walking tour. I didn't give them 5 stars for cleanliness, however, because we found a lacy, black bra behind one of the couch cushions. Yikes! Someone had a romantic time on that couch, we assume. We threw the bra in the garbage can and didn't think much of it afterwards. The rest of the apartment was very clean.
Two minor things with the bathroom that annoyed us and could be a problem for other travellers are that the shower was not very well lit at all, and the sink took up the entire space of the small counter. The dark shower made it difficult to shave my legs. I wear make-up, so I had to put my make-up bag in the sink and use it as the counter surface, which was very strange.
Overall, it was a unique experience. It was a nice location. We mostly enjoyed it but would try somewhere else next time.

It was clean and there’s A/C and elevator (for those who had a long walking days lol) I’d stay here again next time we’re in Lisbon. It’s near a bus stop and not far from one of the trams since it’s a walk uphill from the Metro station of Restadoures

Overall a nice place to stay. The room was very clean and spacious, with a small kitchen. Location was walking distance from a lot of places.

However, the property photos were misleading. In all of the pictures it shows a nice balcony and big window opening up to a view of the city/beach in the distance. We not only did not have a balcony or big window, but no nice view. Our view was the inside of the apartment building. When we asked the front desk they said rooms are all different based on first come first serve. Just something to be aware of when viewing the photos!

Lovely place in one of the more lively part of town. Essentially you can walk to any of the toursity spots as needed. The location is the biggest seller. The place itself is lovely and newly renovated. Its beautiful. There are alot of small little touches that made the stay wonderful. Enough amenities in the unit, cleaning supplies and kitchen appliances needed for the stay. Will recommend to any couple traveling in Lisbon now

My friends and I had a pleasant stay in Libere. Check-in and check-out was smooth and was done through the Libere app. We arrived in Lisbon super early and were able to do an early check-in for one room for €15. They also provide luggage lockers that can fit small bags to big luggage’s. The apart hotel is also walking distance from one of viewpoints as well as walking distance to Avenida and main shopping districts. The rooms itself were clean and provided all the necessary items we needed. Loved our stay here in Libere and would recommend if you’re in Lisbon! :)

The stars are for Penelope who tried her best to help us out. I never received the automated email for registering and receiving the access code. I tried emailing and calling. Our flight was hugely delayed. We arrived the day after we left San Francisco. The automated system did not log my emails or vmails and cancelled our reservation instead with no notification. They did have an apartment available when we arrived, probably the one I'd booked. Penelope was not able to navigate the system to allow us to use it. I hopped back on Expedia, booked another place, hopped back into an Uber with all of our luggage. Check-in at the other place was seamless and very quick.

Stayed for 10 nights and loved everything about the apartment. We were close to everything, and didn't use the city's metro once. Staff was great and very helpful when we needed it. Keyless system was also super convenient. While technically there is no official reception desk, there was a staff member there almost all the time (and including overnight) so we felt really safe and that the building was secure.

Nice to know: For anyone tall, the shower is nice and high (my 6'2\" husband had lots of room to spare), and for the girlie's with long hair the water pressure was great.

As others have mentioned, the storage in the bathroom is lacking, but having read them, I brought a small stand up travel mirror and made the dinning table my \"get ready\" area and it worked out great.

Storage for clothes was excellent. At least 10-12 hangers (with pant clips) and lots of shelves so we were able to fully unpack and settle in. Being there for 10 days, we also made use of the laundromat that was just a block or so away which made packing for that long so much easier. The cleaning kit you get on check in though did provide a tide pod so you could do a small load by hand in the sink if you needed to. There was also a great market just down the road so we were able to pick up the essentials we needed (tea, milk, beer, wine, snacks etc.).

Overall we'd highly recommend the Libere and would book again without hesitation if we are ever lucky enough to get back to Portugal.

The only drawback is that it is quite a bit of a hike up hill to get there so I would not recommend it for people with mobility issues unless you take a taxi or Uber to get to the apartment; otherwise, it was perfect and I would stay there again.
