The staff was extremely helpful and kind! They honestly made our stay absolutely wonderful. Although the room was very clean and quiet, I did expect it to be more up-to-date for a 4 star rated hotel. Lastly, I was disappointed with paper cups and instant coffee packets for the room.

Had a great stay. It’s within walking distance of many of Lille’s attractions. The room was comfortable and spacious. The staff were friendly and helpful. There’s a safe in the room and received complimentary drinks which I appreciated. I’d stay here again without a doubt!

The hotel is really good with great location and central to everything. It is a 5 minute walk to the christmas market and grand place which made it great. Rooms was very spacious and comfortable. Only down side
With the rooms was that it doesnt have a eletric plug on each side of the bed. Breakfast was full of great varieties at a lovely price.

We really enjoyed our visit to the beautiful town of Lille and our stay at this hotel was excellent. It is ideally situated for exploring the town, approx 15 minutes walk from Eurostar terminal. Our room was spacious (3 adults) and clean. Although the sofa bed was slightly uncomfortable (mattresss thin), the bed was very comfortable. Staff were welcoming and helpful, arranging a taxi for our return to Eurostar. Breakfast was excellent, a great choice and regularly topped up. We didn’t dine at the hotel. We would be very happy to revisit.

The location was excellent. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance. Downstairs, bar, and restaurant area appeared recently renovated however the rooms and upper floors could benefit from some modernisation. The rooms are a good size, comfy beds. Main issue is the acoustics, you can hear people moving about upstairs very clearly.

I had a few issues with this hotel. First, the gym is not open until 0700, and there is no flexibility in opening earlier. I got three different reasons from staff for the lack of flexibility. Gyms should be 24/7 to accommodate all schedules. Second, i booked a taxi through the hotel for the train station, which is less than a mile away. The taxi driver, who obviously knew the staff very well, charged us an outrageous 30 euros for the ride. I have never been so overcharged for a taxi in my 40 years of traveling around the world. He had no meter and did not warn us of the cost. The hotel should reimburse me for that charge since they clearly do business with him on a regular basis, and must know he is not ethical.

Toilet was dirty when we checked in. However, when we informed the reception, they cleaned it and apologised. No offer of another room. Tea, coffee bags not replaced on day 2. Called the restaurant and the restaurant staff attended to it promptly. Staff were very friendly and catered to the needs. Cleaning was not done to the entire room on D2. Only the bed was made. Definitely not a 4*

The hotel was clean, centrally located and easy to get to. It was listed as a four star but seemed more along the lines of a three star -mini bar didn’t work and was not stocked; only instant coffee and paper cups; although this may have been due to covid restrictions. The staff was very friendly and helpful and even let us check in early. We would recommend this hotel at this price point.

Location is perfect walking distance to main square, shops, restaurants etc. Bedroom very dated and quite small. Separate toilet is very smelly (urine) and feels unhygienic. I asked the other guests in our party and it was the same with their rooms/toilets. Breakfast isn’t very varied and runs out of key staples, eg bacon, half way through service. They don’t replenish.

The hotel is rather dated in decor & equipment...could do with sharper restyling. Stupidly, I left my adaptor pkug ( one of many!!) at home, but expected them to a) be able to lend/ hire me one...or to have wall plugs able to take USBs, which are available in most hotels these days. The Reception staff were very kind, I asked if the iPad could be plugged into a computer there to charge...they were very happy to oblige! The service was great, from reception to the bar/ restaurant. Staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful and made me feel very welcome and \"looked after\" ...something I don't always find as a single female traveller...a big thank you & BRAVO!

Hotel was close to the Grand Square and it took 25 to 30 mins to walk from Eurostar station.
Staff speak good English and the lobby was fine but doesn’t feel like 4 Star type hotel.
The standard room size was okay but the toilet was seperate to the bathroom, we have asked for a family room as travelling with a child, we’ve been give a double bed and a sofa bed. The main bed was fine but the sofa bed wasn’t, as you can feel all the springs beneath you when you sleep. The bath is a little out dated as there were things broken.
Room was provided with kettle, hair dryer, large screen tv, teas and coffee and 1 bottle of water, which I thought was a little less for a family room.
Also, the room we’ve got is quiet as is not outside the Main Street.

Extremely pleasant stay. Very basic accomodation but comfortable and clean, which are definitely the most important things. Had a very quiet stay and room was a reasonable size.

My only qualm was that the reservation fee turned out to be 200 euros which was an amount I was not made aware of at check-in. I was confused fused as to why this was taken as I'd paid the full amount of the stay 6 weeks in advance, which was less than the reservation fee!!! It took a week to stop pending in my account after I contacted the hotel and was just told to wait as it would be refunded. It was not explained to me why such a fee was taken, which happened to be more than the cost of the stay. I left a survey response with the hotel and they eventually took the reservation off my account. But no compensation given for this even though I'd been unable to access this money for a week.

Needs a refurbishment. Broken furniture , smelly toilets, broken door handles on toilet.

Adequate perhaps for a budget hotel, but the price is not budget.. Staff helpful , restaurant rather. Expensive. Advises that breakfast before 8'will be a medium wait , between 8 and 9 a long wait. Seems like they are setting out their rules and not Aiming to support the customer experience?

I do not want to leave a negative comment , the staff can only work with what is physically provided.

The hotel location is very good close centre. The room was nice but you can't control the air condition as you only have option for fan to put it up or down.
The shower needs detailed cleaning at corners. But rooms are clean.
Parking is possible out side for a charge or you can park in a secured car park behind hotel for 12 euro per night (24 hours)

Room-Carpet dirty and could do with a good industrial clean, Air conditioning not very effective.
Hot water to bath was very discoloured. Shower ok.
Beware if parking in public car park behind (not the hotel's problem) low curbs have cost me £100 to repair my alloy's......not a happy boy!

Hotel right in city centre

Surprised this was a four star hotel. Downstairs has a new, modern feel to it, but our room was old and tired looking. Hated the separate toilet, without wash hand basin, located around the other side of the room. Not sure we had the room we booked, either. It was meant to be a triple room, although there was just a double bed. We couldn't be bothered to query it. Small bath with hand shower, also separate shower. Towels were fairly worn out. Comfortable bed with standard duvet. Very good air conditioning, which is always welcome in hotels.
Don't think there is a hotel car park, however, there is a large public car park not too far away (although far enough away when carting luggage). Think it cost €22 for 2 days.
Don't think I would stay there again.

Hotel located in a narrow quiet street not far from the Grand Place in the centre of town. The hotel was comfortable enough for a two night stay with good facilities. Tea/coffee provided in room. Most staff were friendly and helpful. We did not include breakfast so unable to comment on food or restaurant.

Enjoyable stay for one night. Room had the essentials, comfy bed and nice to have a fridge and good storage space.

We were put into a double room but had disabled facilities, not too pleased with this but as they were full it would not have been possible to move. As we were staying for one night we made do.
TV doesnt have much for English speaking unless you want news channels, you are in France so I guess thats what you expect.

Bathroom was big but again adapted for disabled guests, higher toilet seat and a wet room shower with seat, there was no shower curtain which meant when we had a shower the whole room literally got wet and slippery.

Access to room was via a lift and stairs so no issues there. Staff were friendly and very helpful at check in and during the stay.

Our favourite part of the stay was the breakfast, plenty of choice for cold meats, juice, cooked, tea and coffee and more.
We could have as much as we wanted and the scrambled eggs were awesome!

Reception is airey and clean with online check in option if you didn't want to wait in line, chairs to sit and an Xbox 360 with Kinect was a nice touch if you have kids.

One minor problem was that we wanted a room with two separate beds, and thought from the Expedia website that we had booked this: when we arrived found that the hotel has no twin-bed rooms, and that our room had a double bed and a sofa bed. In fact the sofa bed was comfortable, so it was ok, but I think the website could be clearer.

Ideal for central stay in Lille

We chose this hotel for location, to stay overnight in the centre of Lille, particularly to see the Xmas market.
Parking was easy in the underground car park of the Orchestre National de Lille - a large circular building just behind the hotel, look it up on Google Earth and set your satnav coordinates very carefully because the entrance is on Place Pierre Mendes and not on Rue du Nouveau Siecle, and the 1-way system is tricky.
The hotel's plain front leads into a very clean modern interior. The staff were very pleasant and helpful throughout our stay. The room was quiet, spotless and a good size, excellent shower, and an unusual large wave-shaped sink unit which was amusing yet perfectly functional. A Bluetooth-enabled radio in the room was very welcome as it meant we could play our own music straight from my phone, and it also includes a USB charging socket. Comfortable bed, choice of pillows, a safe for valuables, large flat screen TV, nice lighting and décor.
Five mins walk from the Xmas market square which is well designed and filled with unusually good products, easy to spend a couple of hours having a wander around and plenty of food and mulled wine available. The rest of the central pedestrianized area, and the old town, are only minutes away too. This hotel was the perfect spot for our trip and we enjoyed it very much.

Room stuffy - A/C not efficient - too noisy to open windows. Like many hotels, smell from basins.

Taxis non-existent - metro/trams/buses quite easy to use though. Walking a pleasure in good weather.

Ideal central hotel

Right in town, very close to the Grand Place. It was an ideal stopover on our way back from the Alps.
Hotel was clean and well equipped, and the breakfast was ace. In the room the beds were comfy, room a fair size and the shower was pretty powerful. The bathroom was a little odd as the door opened almost straight from the bed!

Great location, family friendly hotel.

We stayed 7 nights in this hotel, booked two rooms since were travelling with an elderly and two small children. Hotel staff is quick and efficient in checking us in. Very helpful in assisting us with our needs. Although both rooms are not ready while we arrive at noon, we were able to relax and grab a couple of sandwiches from the cafe that provides excellent service. The guy is trying very hard to explain the menu which has no English. Thumbs up for him!

The negative part is while I requested for normal porcelain cups instead of the paper cups provided in the room, they never arrived even after I reminded them again on our second day. On our third day I gave up...I can live with the paper cups.

Hotel is close to everywhere we wanted to visit. We walk to the museums and walk to the zoo...shopping malls, all within 5-15 min walk.

Breakfast was really good. Staff very courteous and greeted us every morning. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Kids play area at lobby is the main reason why we chose this hotel.

Relaxing good hotel

Spacious room, helpful staff and good value breakfast. Went to Lille to recover after long flight from Australia and was pleasantly surprised by the city and the hotel.

Good location between the Grande Place and Old Lille. We were allowed to check in early and to leave our luggage in a locked closet on the day we checked out.

Great location, fantastic value.

We booked a superior double room with a sofa bed for our 9 year old son. The room was very clean, not cramped and well equipped for the cost. This hotel is bang in the middle of Lille and is perfect for a weekend shopping break. The hotel staff were very helpful and the inclusive breakfast was superb. Would definitely stay again.

Good comfortable hotel

very nice modern rooms, comfortable bed, easy walk to the main square.
the only problem was you have to park in the underground car park that is around the corner, it's not too bad only about a 3 minute walk from the car park to the hotel.

Great Hotel, Perfect location

Exactly what you expect for a business trip type hotel. I especially appreciated the excellent internet connection which is often a problem for hotels in France

Weekend break in Lille

The hotel was just off of the main squares, but close enough to walk to good restaurants, bars etc very easily.
Good value for money.

Good Location but Offsite Parking

Good hotel and very convenient. Hotel parking is not as advertised. It is only 200m away but offsite and not easy to find, park and then find the correct staircase exit to be closest to the hotel. Other than parking this hotel is consistent with Novotel standards.
