Clean but shabby

We had a very nice experience. The hotel was clean, the staff was polite, in very nice and calm neighbourhood near Montmartre, and very close to metro station.

Check in was smooth, dirty pillow cases and bathroom was smelly when we arrived and when coming back to room after we been out(plumbing building issues), dirty bathroom bin, no iron, no kettle, pipe noises throughout the night, breakfast was very very basic, WiFi was ok, ok transport links(metro 5 min walk away)

Everything was great with the reception area. My problem is the walls are so thin that when we went to go to bed at night we could hear people on both sides having sex. I knocked on the wall and they heard me but did nothing about it.

Can’t believe people complain about this hotel, my daughter and I stayed for three nights and can’t fault it. Remember you are staying in Paris where prices are high, this hotel offers value for money.
The bed, mattress and sheets were clean and so comfortable. Staff very kind and professional.
Location: 10 minute walk to Moulin Rouge, another 10 minutes to Sacre Coeur, great base for exploring Paris. Metro about 2 minutes away.
Would have no hesitation in returning to this hotel.

The room and the staff are very nice. We were even able to do the check in a little early! Breakfast is good (at an additional cost) and had a lot of variety of options. The bathroom was a little less pretty in comparison with the room but always clean. Interestingly we had a bidet! The hotel is very well connected to the rest of Paris. We had a nice stay.

Great Budget Hotel in Paris

We chose this hotel because it was close to the Embassy. There were other hotels in the area, but this had reviews that met what we were looking for. We needed one night stay to arrive and then check out to get to our appointment. The reviews that influenced me to book were

- the room was small, but we only needed a bed and a place to put our stuff ... so not an issue.

We needed a bed for one night to get our business done. Arrived afternoon left early. That went smoothly, someone was always there. Sheets were clean. Bed was comfortable. No problems. Would recommend.

Thr hotel ambassadeur is one of the oldest hotels in Paris and it could look old and inconvenient to stay but its going under renovation so im sure it can live uo to a bigger standard after all renovations have been made. But overall not bad, and the staff is super nice and helpful. Would like to go back in the future to see its progress!.

Classic budget hotel in the middle of Paris.

This hotel is not a five-star hotel. But you’re not looking for a five-star hotel, you’re looking for a solid budget hotel - and you’ve found it here. It is an older building, and there are places where that is evident, but it appears to be pretty well maintained. Mattress was firm and comfortable, shower/toilet/AC/heat worked. The staff were helpful and attentive; check in/out was quick and easy.

Lovely old building in the Montmarte area. Cute walkable safe neighborhood with plenty of food nearby. There are zero amenities at this hotel. Not even coffee in the room. The room was VERY small. Just big enough for the bed and our bags. The elevator is also very small and long wait time. Beautiful view of the Eiffel Tower from our room though and it was a good place to just keep our stuff while we traveled around the city and saw the sights.

Enjoyable four night stay.

Attentive staff, breakfast an excellent value.. Don't miss a visit to the roof after dark - some pretty great views. Close to transit.

Only downside is the thon walls you can hear sounds from adjoining rooms.

Will stay there again next time in Paris.

I would love to give more information about this hotel, unfortunately they refused to refund (I informed them more then a week before) and did not want to change the reservation to a further date.
Might be a great place, wouldn't know; there goes 180 euros completely in the drain! (or directly in their pockets)!

Nice hotel great view

One male staff was very helpful on answering questions on how to get to places and another male staff scheduled a taxi for me to take me to the airport for my check out day, so I didn’t have to call myself. The rooms were very clean and the cleaning service comes to clean the rooms everyday around 10-11 am. Next time I go to Paris I will go back to this hotel !

Convenient Hotel close to Montmartre.

I stayed 5-nights at the Ambassadeur. The staff were friendly and the lobby and hallways were clean. The rooms not so clean. The bathroom was in need of upgrades. Lots of mold around the tub. The walls are paper thin. I had to knock on the walls a couple times to get my “neighbors” to quieten down so I could sleep. At least Paris was living up to being a romantic city as the neighbors next door on the opposite side were partaking in extracurricular activities. It’s Paris so I didn’t have the heart to knock on the walls that time to get them to stop. All in all I was satisfied with my stay and would stay there again. Breakfast was basic but kept me going until lunch.

A good value and what we expected. Hotel is in district 17 near the Sacre Couer Basilica with lots of dining and shopping options.
Close to the metro and a couple miles from the Champs Elysee and popular attractions.
The concierge (gentleman) was very helpful the night we checked in- recommendations for meals, etc.
The woman (day shift) was a different story. Rude, unhelpful, snarky that our French wasn't impeccable.
Really an interesting contrast. I'm thick skinned and didn't let it bother me- the hotel was still a good value for the price and location- just might help to know what to expect.

Not so fast.

The Hotel advertises a inexpensive rate and free wi-fi but that is somewhat misleading. You get two hours of free wifi but for some reason you don't really get that since the service seems to shut off at 9 each morning. Then you have the option of buying 2 or 24 hours service. The 2 hour service is 4 Euros per person. You can reserve a roomwithout breakfast but unfortunately, they attempted to charge us $8.50 per morning per person for a breakfast that we didn't order and didn't use. The male concierge/receptionist is a delight and very helpful. The rooms were not bad and the location was pretty good. This would be quite a bargain if the hotel was upfront about all the fees and didn't try to flimflam the customer with the add ons.

Gutes Hotel für einen Städtetrip. Das Personal war freundlich und die Zimmer sauber. Das Zimmer wurde täglich gereinigt. Das Hotel wird aktuell renoviert.Da wir in dem noch nicht renovierten Teil ein Zimmer hatten, gibt es einen Punkt Abzug bei dem Zustand der etwas in die Jahre gekommenen Möbel/Zimmer. Da aber alles super sauber war, lässt sich darüber gut hinwegsehen. Die Lage ist perfekt. Eine Metrostation ist fußläufig entfernt und von dort aus sind alle Sehenswürdigkeiten in gut 20-30min erreichbar. Das Hotel ist auf jeden Fall zu empfehlen

Photos non conformes a la réalité, sole en moquette remplie de taches, traces de moisissure, peinture écaillée dans la douche et reste de cheveux (qui ne sont pas les miens) sur le sèche cheveux.

Sans oublier l'isolation phonique quasi inexistante malgré le double vitrage.

Opinion personnelle : le matelas à ressorts datant de l'ère mésopotamienne m'a causé de terribles douleurs au dos. Si vous préférez les matelas fermes, cet hôtel ne vous conviendra pas.

Accueil sympathique.
Chambre plutot propre mais pas tres pratique (lavabo sans une piece et barre serviette qui ne tient plus au mur) et douche (avec 1 rideau sur 1 cote) et les toilettes collees a la douche. Forcement sans rideau les toilettes et la piece mouillee et pas de crochet pour accrocher serviette ou affaires. Pas de bouilloire. Moquette moyennement propre.

L'hotel non è certamente nuovo e personalmente non sopporto la moquette ma la camera era più grande di quanto mi aspettassi, pulita il primo giorno poi non credo abbiano più pulito nulla, solo fatto il letto, (ma ripeto il primo giorno era pulitissima, ho passato salviettine umidificate ovunque e nn ho trovato neppure un granello di polvere). Eravamo all'interno e la finestra guardava sui tetti per cui la camera era molto silenziosa, ma abbiamo avuto una sola notte una famiglia nella camera a fianco e si sentiva quasi tutto, quindi a noi è andata molto bene, ma credo sarebbe da migliorare l'insonorizzazione. All'ingresso c'è un salottino con distributore di acqua gratuito, bollitore con bustine tè , microonde e frigorifero quindi è possibile acquistare cibo , riscaldarlo e consumarlo nel salottino o in camera. Anche la posizione non era male. La via principale è piena di supermercati e negozietti per pranzare e fare colazione a prezzi accettabili aperti fino a tardi, la metrò è a 5 minuti di passeggiata e in meno di 20 minuti sei ovunque. Per noi è stata una buona esperienza

Décevant pour ce tarif. Hôtel 3*...je pense qu'au moins 1* s'est égarée... insonorisation déplorable : douches, wc des voisins. ( On entend dans les chambres voisines les messieurs faire pipi...et le reste....). Petits dej en sous sol, pas de fenêtres... c'est étrange, qualité et quantité assez moyenne...
Nous n'y reviendrons pas.

Personal ist in Ordnung. Die Möbel sind ramponiert und muffig. Das Badezimmer spartanisch. Kaputte Fliesen. Rohre gucken aus der Wand. Verletzungsgefahr hoch. Wer nur zum Schlafen buchen möchte, für den geht’s in Ordnung. Ich würde dieses Hotel nicht nochmal buchen. Lieber ein paar Euro mehr ausgeben und dafür sich auch im Zimmer wohlfühlen.

Trevligt hotell med vänlig och hjälpsam personal. Lite slitet men helt ok för priset. Ac funkade bra och rummet låg mot gården så vi stördes inte av några ljud utifrån. Området kändes tryggt att vara i även sent på kvällen och det finns gott om trevliga restauranger och livsmedelsbutiker i närheten. Nära till tunnelbana och buss.

It is a typical French hotel. Thin walls and little attention has been paid to the interior.
If you don't find all this so relevant, it's fine. Fellow occupants of the rooms should realise that the thin walls let noise through. If we are considerate of each other then we are totally fine. What I like is that it is not in a super touristy area. Authentic French restaurants nearby... that makes me happy.

O quanto é compatíveis para 2 pessoa. O banheiro de banho (por que são separados) eh bem pequeno. O café da manhã não tem muitas opções, embora tenha no cardápio que há mais itens disponíveis para o café.

Freundliches Personal. Kleiner Fussmarsch zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten erforderlich. Aber man weiß meist vorher, in Paris ist Laufen angesagt. Ansonsten ruhige Gegend mit Gastronomie.
Auch ist zu beachten, daß in der Badewanne geduscht wird. Für körperlich eingeschränkte Personen anstrengend.

Room was better than the pictures. Good family room with two separate bedrooms and a big toilett. Clean facility with nice staff. Close to public bus no 74 which is a sightseeing bus in itself taking you to molin rouge all the way to notre dame. Highly recommend a visit to the close by bolangerie, Maison Damiani Boulangeries-pâtisseries (artisans), on 125 avenue Clichy. Amazing sandwishes and pastries.

Hotel muito bom, a senhora que atende os hóspedes na chegada é muito gentil e ajuda em tudo que pode . O Hotel é antigo mas bem conservado , o café da manhã é bem servido . Recomendo .

Litet, trevligt med lite off.

Hotellet ligger lite off bland det man vill se, hyfsat nära mont martre dock.
Sängarna väldigt hårda. Två separata små badrum där ena innehåller toalett och dusch. Det andra en bidé och handfat. Så vill du inte tvätta händerna i duschen får du gå tvärs genom rummet till nästa badrum efter toabesöken. Bra med ac.
Trevlig personal och rent. Dock ville städet inte fylla på tvålen trots att jag skruvade ur pumpen och la på handfatet.

very old, it is good only for homeless. My reservation was cancelled and expedia never notified me.
