We have stayed here every year for the past 4 years and this year discovered the appartments have had upgrding (they were nice before but now they have had a major renovation they look amazing) the staff were as friendly and awesome as they always are. I cant speak ro the breakfast as weve never had it. We cant wait to see you all again next october ❤️

The hotel is undergoing a refurbishment. My room was one that has been upgraded and it is done to a high standard. The apart-hotel room is spacious, clean, comfortable and I would recommend it. There are some sound issues with the adjoining room, but this is pretty minor. The location is excellent for trains, metro and walking into Vieux Lille.

The location of the hotel is very good if you are travelling by train. However it is currently under construction with badly presented reception and lifts that are covered in tapes. The apartments are good size but outdated. You can hear the occupants from the room above you very clearly.
I wish we were informed of the building works at the time of booking.

Awesome location between train station and the main part of town. Could walk anywhere from the location. Spacious rooms were great. Coffee machine was a bonus. They were doing some maintenance which meant some waiting at the lifts. They weren’t keen to change towels and rooms weren’t cleaned due to requiring a minimum stay for that ( which was obviously above 4 night stays )

The hotel was a sweat box! The limited window ventilation and enormous west facing windows kept our room at no less than 87°F every single day. (I happened to have a thermometer for my medication packaging).

We left a day early due to the extreme conditions , but were charged the full amount. No compensation for enduring 4 days and nights of 87-92 degree temps inside our room. No offer to move us to another room.

While they were preparing for AC units to be installed, I would not go back as the likelihood they could combat the sun’s radiant heat is doubtful.

It’s good overall but there’s a lot of mosquito in the room which gave me quite a few bites all over the body. The room is really hot during the time of my visit so had to open window but its really nosy due to the location so wasn’t able to sleep well at all.

This was in a great location next to Euralille Shopping Centre. The two main train stations are a short walk away. The property was very spacious, not at all cramped and made the stay relaxing. The property was a bit dated and what you would expect in a 3 star. We felt safe due to the high volume of people around in the very busy transport hub. The Main Square was just 10 minutes away on foot.

Hotel was clean and staff very friendly. There was work being carried out on the roof so there was protective boarding inside the lift but this was clearly explained on a sign. The in site parking is a plus, but the access is very narrow via the underground tunnel. And when they say the door closes quickly they mean it! The fact the apartment had a kitchen with dishwasher was great. The hotel is ideally located above the Westfield shopping centre, and perfect walking distance to the city centre squares & restaurants.

I recently stayed at this hotel, and it turned out to be a huge disappointment. The only so-called advantage is its proximity to the train station. However, if you’re not using the train, the location is not great—there’s little to do in the area, and the nearby restaurants are not worth visiting.

The property itself is severely outdated. My room had a leaking issue, and to make matters worse, the heating is no use due to the bad insulation, making my stay very uncomfortable. When I asked to change rooms, the staff outright refused, claiming the hotel was fully booked. However, when I checked online, I immediately saw availability for the exact same type of room I was staying in! This proves that the staff was lying and simply didn’t want to accommodate the request.

The service was just as bad as the condition of the hotel. The staff was unhelpful, dismissive, and unwilling to solve any issues. Rather than taking responsibility, they made excuses and acted as if guest comfort wasn’t their concern.

Overall, this hotel is not worth the money. The only thing you’re really paying for is being near the train station—but if you don’t need the train, that benefit is meaningless. With outdated rooms, poor service, and dishonest staff, I strongly recommend looking elsewhere. There are far better options available for the same price or even less.

I was maybe expecting a bit more. There was nothing terribly wrong with the place. It was clean and the staff were good. The location was perfect and we were on a high floor with an amazing view.
The hot water took about 5 minutes to warm up for a shower. I had asked for my sheets to be changed after a few days but they said there was no housekeeping staff in that day which I found odd. It was fine to not have them changed. Just odd that there were days without housekeeping in site.
It was also quite awkward to have a toilet behind the kitchen and the main bath and sink through 3 doors on the other side of the space.

Convenient and comfortable

The location is great, right by a big shopping centre with a huge supermarket inside, a few minutes walk to the centre of town and the square, coffee shops and restaurants. Car park was easy to access and very secure - the hotel sent detailed instructions ahead of our stay. The apartment itself was great for a family and having a small kitchen was very useful. Room and temperature inside in winter was very comfortable. We did find the room quite dusty eg the edges/corners and under the sofa and our socks were black on the bottom after walking around in the room for a bit. Could be a little loud at times if you have noisy neighbours but otherwise quiet in the room. Staff were helpful and the breakfast was simple but nice. I would definitely stay here again.

It was ‘okay’. Certainly not the best Citadines I’ve stayed at. There are stains, rips and it wasn’t to a high standard of cleaning, when you really looked.

I hate interconnecting doors. Unless you are sharing that door with someone else. In this case I should have been as I made two bookings. I don’t understand why they didn’t do it. With those doors, noise and cooking smells travel. You could hear people clicking off lights!

Receptionist was friendly and helpful.

Property was very easy to get to and useful being literally above the Lille Westfield.

As it was a family stay with a sofa bed, it would have been nice if the sofa bed was pre-made. This is our first experience travelling around that it wasn't.
With a family with children, the floors were terribly dirty. Walk around the room and you'll end up with black feet!

Stunning hotel in the centre of Lille. Perfect location for exploring, shopping and you’ll find plenty of places to eat and drink. We arrived on the Eurostar which was a 5 minute walk to the hotel which is adjoined to a Westfield shopping centre. Lille is a great little city, very pretty and well worth a visit. This hotel is the ideal location to stay when in Lille and I wouldn’t heaping staying here again. It has stunning views across the city and the rooms are comfy with all the amenities you’d quite of an apart hotel.

Great view from 11th floor. Very warm inside so it's good that you can open the large window to suit yourself.
Decent sized kitchenette to prepare one pan meals (not that you'd need to as there are plenty of good place to eat whatever your budget). Proper fridge and handy microwave/oven combo. Spare folding chair provided so 2/3 can sit at the table/desk to eat. Perfect location as everything is walking distance around this lovely city.

Within 5 minutes walk of the center of Lille, close to both the normal and TGV train stations and a big shopping mall

The staff were brilliant in answering my emails over parking

The room was spotless and it's great to have the (small) kitchen area with everything including a dishwasher !

Definitely worth more than 5 stars if you're visiting Lille

Just be careful on Google Maps as it suggested the road
the hotel is on (Willy Brandt Avenue) was closed when it wasn't - This is where the hotel staff emails were particularly brilliant !

We always try to stay at Citadines when traveling in Europe, and the Citadines in Lille was fantastic! We notified the staff of our late arrival, and they were incredibly accommodating, providing parking instructions and reassuring us with their 24-hour concierge service.

We arrived at midnight, and the receptionist was wonderfully welcoming, making check-in a breeze. He also took the time to explain the amenities, including the coffee service and breakfast options. Unfortunately, we didn’t catch his name, but he deserves a lot of praise for his exceptional service!

Our corner room had a great view, and we appreciated the convenient amenities like the fans, heaters, and iron. Though we only stayed one night, we’ll definitely choose Citadines again if we return to Lille.

Very good space for families. Our doorbell and dishwasher didn’t work. Not the place to stay in real heat as the rooms were very hot with no aircon. Fans were not enough. Rooms weren’t cleaned every day and no cleansing products in room to clean up bathroom and kitchen. Nice to have the kitchen. Staff were friendly and helpful.

Location can't be beat, parking was very secure and reasonable price, staff were lovely. Only shame is that the property is well behind on its upkeep. There was obvious mould in the bathroom, peeling paint, poor caulking and such. All easy things to fix that would make the place so much higher quality!

Great location and the bed was comfortable, room in general was clean and really enjoyed the continental breakfast available (11 euros). Unfortunately, no air conditioning meant the hotel and room was uncomfortably warm. The staff were understanding and provided a fan, but it wasn't really sufficient. The bathroom ceiling also had black mould that had been poorly cleaned away. Although I don't like to give bad reviews unfortunately, I wouldn't return to this hotel, especially in summer!

I have stayed at this hotel before in the summer. No AC. The heat was cycling a lot. Many things in poor repair. Shower, sink light, iron, etc. no cleaning on a 5 night stay included with the room. It served the purpose but was very overpriced for the quality and comfort.

Highly recommended if you want to stayby Eurorail.

The hotel is unbeatable for the price-comfort. Clean room, toilet and bathroom (separate as in many French hotels). The room was much more comfortable than the hotel we stayed in Paris for almost 3 times the cost.

Very convenient for Eurostar and walking aroung Lille. Clean, modern rooms which were well equipped for a short stay (kitchenette with kettle and pots, hairdryer, fan, iron). Take a mug with you if you want to have a full-sized drink though!
Our room facing the Tripost depot was noisy in the late evening/early morning though while we were there - though probably just bad luck (things were being unloaded/people gathering)

It was very hot and humid in Lille during my stay. This property has no air conditioning and only offers a fan for your apartment. I opened the window at night but got eaten alive by mosquitoes! So the window stayed closed and the fan just wasn’t enough for comfort. This made for one hot and uncomfortable stay.

This is a comfortable, clean and spacious hotel (room) in the heart of the beautiful city of Lille. It was easy to check in and use the hotel. I would certainly recommend it as a place to stay. It is a fairly generic hotel in terms of being like so many modern hotels, but it does deliver in terms of the standards you would expect for your money.

Very good reception staff, clean well equipped kitchen and nice bathroom. Spacious room, my room on 10th floor had fab views of Lille. Next to shopping centre so very convenient for Carrefour, and close to both train stations Flandres and Lille Europe. Both stations offer trains going to the south of France without having to go into Paris, change of train is usually needed and Valence TGV has good onward connections.
Highly recommend this excellent hotel with great facilities.

Included station announcements - traffic- people shouting/ talking. Slept with window closed - no air conditioning - just a small desktop fan. Also noise from above - alarm at 6.30 Tuesday and Wednesday- Scrapping chairs No soap in the soap dispenser - very annoying if you are in the shower wet but no soap. No hot water Wednesday morning Rooms are not serviced daily unless you pay 15 to 23 Euros a day depending on room type. Not mentioned on hotel.com listing. Local taxes 1.65 euros per person per day NOT 1.10 euros as on HOTEL.COM

We were given a nice room at the front of hotel but weather was very hot and the room was too hot. Another room was offered to us which was much cooler. Excellent and friendly service. Great little room to relax with a coffee / tea above reception. Close to all of Lille’s attractions and next to train station. Great secure parking too. Thanks for an enjoyable stay Citadines!
